Sound out of Oracle Forms - pls help

hi,
i'm finding it hard to find any docs about getting sound out of forms. i think i'd need to use a media player/winamp etc plug in but have no idea how to do it.
are there any forms wizards who can help?

What version and deployment of forms are you running - client server or web, 6i or 9i?
There is no native support for sound in web deployed forms

Well it sounds like you have a dirty jack as was said before in a previous answer or one of the connectors in the jack is bent/broken.
If the alcohol and q-tip works then its all great but if not it could get a little more tricky. I had the same problem and when i held the earbud plug a certain way it would work. I know electronics pretty well so i opened the ipod and bent the contact back into place. IT also might mean the jack needs to be re-soldered. TNS-12535 TNS Operation Timed Out....Pls HELP!!!

I have created a oracle 9i database on my local machine and when I try to connect to it from same machine via sqlplus or OEM, I am getting this error message:
TNS-12535: TNS Operation Timed Out.
I have tried to create a new listener but still I cannot connect to database.
Does anyone has any clue what's happening.

Hi,
You could try something, like :
If your System is a Windows system, check if the listener service is active.
Then, from DOS window :
- LSNRCTL stat, to see the status of the listener
- TNSPING <your tnsnames alias>, if you have one.
For local connections :
- set ORACLE_SID = <your SID> as environment variable, then connect as user/password without connection string.
You can also try to stop and start the listener (from dos) :
- LSNRCTL stop
- LSNRCTL start

Where is the email stored? If on the file system, you can use UTL_FILE to open the file.

Flash Player sound issue driving me mad pls help

I am trying to listen to http://www.manchesterradioonline.net/stream/player/ . It is an online radio station here in uk that uses adobe flash to stream. When i click to listen to the stream i get no sound, im not even sure if the stream starts. I am using firefox ( have tried ie and google chrome same problem) This is driving me insane as i realy want to listen to the station. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sound out of sync with video HELP pLZ!

i just got my ipod and i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this problem i have. What happens is when i play my video its even to start then maybe a minute or two into the video the the sound is saying something that hasnt been seen yet( if that makes sense) any help with this would be really appreciated!!

When using hdmi to tv, sound is not transmitted. Pls help

When I use the hdmi port to hook to tv no sound is transmitted. It was working a few days ago now its not. I tried to reinstall drivers as well as changing tv's and 2 different new hdmi cables. Anyone have any clues?

Hi, I have a new (second hand from vodafone) iPhone 3G which I am trying to sync to iTunes but iTunes is not even recognising it. I've updated iTunes to the latest and sorted out my antivirus software which was out of date. Pls help!

iTunes yesterday got halfway through a sync (it did recognise it for a short time) but today, since the upgraded iTunes, it won't even recognise the phone. I have tried using iTunes' diagnostics and the device tests say that no iphone, ipod or ipad can be found. I have so many tunes on iTunes that I am worried i will lose.
My last iPhone was my first and was synced up fine with my laptop.
Please can someone help me/? I'm on a Samsung NC10 which admittedly I haven't used for a long time, but would really like my music on my iPhone. Thanks for any help.

That would be the wireless number assigned by AT&T when the purchaser of the iPhone signed up as a customer with AT&T. If neither you nor your uncle ever activated the iPhone with AT&T, click the "non customer" button.
Note that jailbreaking often renders it impossible to get an iPhone officially unlocked, so don't be surprised if it fails. If it does, then you may have to buy a new iPhone, this time one that is officially unlocked.

ITunes Library wiped out after software update - Pls help !

I set my iMac periodically runs auto software update, and after I run iTunes 6.0.5 (20) software update, I opened iTunes and a warning message says, "Files moved to iTunes Library Damaged 1", and the library is empty !!
On further search, when I go into HD, a folder "iTunes Library" seem to have those previous songs. Looking thru the files, it seems as though they are all the songs I lost. Can I load these songs back to the iTunes Library, which is empty right now? Or are these damaged files?
FYI - I previously had iLife'05, but thru periodic software updates, iTunes is now version 6.0.5 (20). Is this compatible with the specs of my mac?
Kind of mad, b/c I literally just purchased songs and did not back them up....

The first tip is to turn off the auto update features. The Mac OS will still go look but will ask you if you wnat to install. It is usually a good idea to wait a week or so after an update see what problems others are having.
You tunes files are ok - it is the "iTunes Library" and the "iTunes Music ....xml" that are damaged. These are data base files that work with iTunes and other programs so they know where to go look if a program needs to use something in iTunes.
When you open iTunes the 2 noted files above will be located in HD>User>Music>iTunes. you can just "add" the tunes back into the library and it should be ok. Note that you will lose your old info such as "date added" etc.
You can go to the Apple Store online and select the Apple Software option to see the system requirements for iLife06.

where can i found on my disk Oracle Forms online help (help that is embeded with Oracle Forms - with F1 button)? Is there any reference to this help on the internet?

Tab pages in oracle forms

I have two different Content Canvases in oracle form 6i and my requirement is such that i need to have these two
content canvases in tab canvas pages.
can Any one please tell me how i have to join these two content canvases in two tab pages.
since i don't have idea about forms.
if any one could give coding for these issue it would be nice.
say one canvas name a and another canvas name b and i have pages namely taba and tabb
now i have to write trigger for tab canvas pages . if any one suggest any idea i could implement it.

HI , Your Logic is okay.
What you have to do is,
Open your existing from
In Canvas - Create New canvas with Type 'TAB'
And Create Two Tap Page - A & B.
select existing each items in existing canvas and select main canvas and TAP page -A or B
Once completed you can run your form as like before without any coding changes,
Regarding your question for TAB trigger code, generally you do not need any code as it is auto select.. by mouse.

Showing Blank Records oracle forms 11g

Deal all..
i am using oracle forms 11g , i created a form by using data block wizard & layout wizard , but when i run the form, the form running successfully in browser, url is ( http://arun-pc:9001/forms/frmservlet), but it is showing empty records.
when i check with sql plus user Scott , i found 10 records in departments table , same user and same table i used in oracle forms.
i don't know what is the problem.. i am new to oracle forms please help me..

I follow the link what u given in above post.. But still i have the same issue.. i am not sure, but i think i have problem with my Environment, bcz in many blogs i read that oracle forms is not recommended to use with 64 bit OS. and second , iam not using developer suite 10g,
currently i am using,

just installed my new Sound Blaster X-FI card on my computer. And i have put the right cables in it. And now i dont get any sound of my Trust 4500P 5. speaker set and i also dont get any sound out off my Headset.plz help to solve this problem

I had the same problem..all of the sudden my analog outputs didnt work, i un checked digi i/o and checked it and unchecked it, only the digi i/o jack worked lucky for me my speakers take both analog and digital. i found if you go into the THX setup and mess around in there, the analog ports will?work again.

Load oracle forms in center of the screen

i'm working with oracle forms using R12. when i call new forms usin call_form the new form is always loading in left side corner of the screen (starting point). but i need to load the form in center of the screen. how can i set postion when load the oracle form. please help.
