Sound Problem -I know-I know-:}

I've tryed everything listed on this Forum to correct my SoundCard problem-But nothing has worked-
My Problem is this=
Only getting a signal from one speaker-
I've installed and reinstalled the RealTec Drivers and nothing has worked-
And If I reinstall the drivers {On Win2K} which one should I pic?
I get a list of like 5 different choices-
Also what file should I install after being asked to find disk?
Alcxwmd is there in like 20 differnet forms-
{As listed with numbers after the file}

Might be stating the obvious here, but you should do a full uninstall of any previous drivers before installing new ones.
Installing over the top of old drivers works most of the time, but unfortunately not all.
I've just had issues with my graphics card and nVidia sound drivers (I have an MSI K7N420 Pro) because I installed new drivers on top of old - I was stumped until I did a driver uninstall then re-install - problem solved.
My apologies if you've already tried this - bear in mind that I haven't read any previous posts regarding this problem.
I suppose you have tried another set of speakers?

Frequent "no sound" problems - anybody know why?

I very often - almost every time I try a chat - have the problem where the other party or me or both of us cannot hear each other, even when we can see each other just fine.
Sometimes us both quitting and restarting iChat fixes it, but today nothing would.
This happens whether I am using my iMac G5 iSight or my PB17" with a separate iSight camera, so I don't think it is a hardware issue on any one machine.
And my bandwidth is very high - fiber optic with 1 Gbit/sec up and download rate.
The only thing I can guess is that this always seems to happen when the person I am chatting with has very low bandwidth - like 1Mbit/sec or less. I've never seen the problem when chatting with somebody else with high, fiber optic speed bandwidth.
Could it be a problem with iChat not being able to deal appropriately when there is a big mismatch in bandwidths?
Anybody have any ideas how to avoid this problem?

Hi All,
Several things to check.
1) System Preferences > Qi+Uicktime > Streaming tab should have the speed set to your download speed. If you are faster that 1.5 meg then use that speed as the Intranet/LAN is also a bit quirky.
2) iChat > Preferences > Video sectio > Bandwidth drop down should be set to NONE.
3) Lastly Cron Scripts as they clear Logs and Cache files.

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

My daughter has had her Razr for about 9 months now. About two weeks ago she picked up her phone in the morning on her way to school when she noticed two cracks, both starting at the camera lens. One goes completely to the bottom and the other goes sharply to the side. She has never dropped it and me and my husband went over it with a fine tooth comb. We looked under a magnifying glass and could no find any reason for the glass to crack. Not one ding, scratch or bang. Our daughter really takes good care of her stuff, but we still wanted to make sure before we sent it in for repairs. Well we did and we got a reply from Motorola with a picture of the cracks saying this was customer abuse and that it is not covered under warranty. Even though they did not find any physical damage to back it up. Well I e-mailed them back and told them I did a little research and found pages of people having the same problems. Well I did not hear from them until I received a notice from Fed Ex that they were sending the phone back. NOT FIXED!!! I went to look up why and guess what there is no case open any more for the phone. It has been wiped clean. I put in the RMA # it comes back not found, I put in the ID #, the SN# and all comes back not found. Yet a day earlier all the info was there. I know there is a lot more people like me and all of you, but they just don't want to be bothered so they pay to have it fix, just to have it do it again. Unless they have found the problem and only fixing it on a customer pay only set up. I am furious and will not be recommending this phone to anyone. And to think I was considering this phone for my next up grade! NOT!!!!

I have had this problem several times. The iPad comes off charging with a black screen and only a hard reset works to get it back. Then you have to go to settings to be sure nothing changed there.
I have had serveral hard resets and three restore operations and the problem recurs. I am not sure if it is the iPad2 or an app that is causing the problem. So far I can live with it as is.

Is your computer authorized with the same account that you use to buy the muisc in iTunes?

Did you try to transfer your music by right clicking on your ipod in the device list and choosing "transfer purchases"?

I updated my iPad Air to the newest ios 7 update. Since then, I can not turn wifi on in the settings and bluetooth constantly has a spinning gear in the settings. Anyone else having this problem or know of a solution?

I'm currently trying to restore factory settings on the ipad for the second time. Powering off did not help. Anyone else having this problem or know of a solution?

I was going to suggest - Settings>General>Reset>Reset all settings, but if you are restoring to factory settings, that should restore the settings back to factory defaults. But if you are restoring from a backup, after restoring to factory settings, try resetting all of the settings and see if that fixes it.
It might be something in your backup.

I ended up having a one hour conversation with Apple Support which evolved to handing over control of my screen and then eventually having to use Terminal. I wish I could remember the command but it's probably best I don't.
One thing we looked at right away was the account name used to dowload the movie. Is it the same as the account name you have saved on your iPad. That's easy to check and would be great if that is all that's needed to correct. Good luck.
Here's also an email I got from Support that could solve your problem if it's not as difficult as my issue was.
I would like to inform you that this issue can occur if iOS (your device's operating system) on your device needs to be updated. It can also happen if the computer you're trying to sync from has not been authorized to play purchases you are trying to sync.
I suggest that you first see if updating iOS on your iPad resolves the issue. This article will walk you through the process:

Basically I have an iphone 4 and upgraded to v7 and most recently v7.0.2. When I am on calls the phone started to beep and vibrate and sometimes change the call to speaker. It seems to be that the screen is sometimes active whilst on calls and so my ear is actually pressing the buttons and hitting numbers or changing it to speaker phone. It has also cancelled a call a few times.
This is extremely annoying and makes every call a worry.
Any ideas of how to solve this problem?

I have taken it back to the Apple store genius bar, but they say they don't see anything wrong. Well unless you use it all day and experience the problems when they happen, you wont see anything wrong. But there are lots wrong with it. But this would be the same store as I purchased the phone. And they backed up my old Iphone 4, but were not able to get anything to load back onto my new phone. So, I lost pretty much everything. But over time, some of my contacts have started showing up, although i am still missing over 800 of them.

Thank you for visiting the HP Support Forums and Welcome. I have looked into your issue about your HP Pavilion g6 Notebook and sound issues. Here is a document on troubleshooting sound.
Here is another step to try.
1. Right click speaker icon (right hand corner)
2. Select Playback devices
3. Right click Speakers
4. Enable it and set as Default
5. Click Apply/Ok.
You can do a system restore. System restore will help if something automatically updated and did not go well on the Notebook.
When performing a System restore please note remove any and all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices as they can cause issues.

I got the same problem. The percentage of getting this problem is around 10% of all my dial/receive calls.
The problem usually appears when I receive calls. The phone app will freeze, and I cannot dial or receive calls even I closed the phone app, however, most other apps work properly.
Once this problem happens, I will not be able to turn off the phone by holding sleep button, the only way I can get rid of it is holding sleep and home button at the same time to reset the iphone.
