Sound problems with Nokia 5200

When i bought this phone I thought that the audio volume would be pretty strong. Alas that is not the case. Im acctualy pretty disapointed by it. I ve put the sound to maximum but it is still pretty weak. Can anybody help?

I don't know what you mean by "pretty strong". Yet it is a mobile phone, not an audio station. I have Nokia 5300, which is pretty much like 5200, but I never keep the sound on max. 6-7 for radio and 8-10 for mediaplayer (10 when the audio file quality is not so good - btw, the quality of audio file you are playng is very important. Poor quality and you'll have to put the volume on max only to find out is still low). Anyway try this: go to Menu -> Media -> Stereo widening an turn it on. Then Menu -> Media -> Equaliser and choose "Rock" setting. This increases the sound power. The best way to test the sound is switching to a radio station you know has a powerful signal. Then you'll know if it is a problem with your phone or not.

Problem with Nokia 5200...please help!!

my sister has a nokia 5200...it was working really well when suddenly something went wrong...everytime she inserts a memory card with something on it (doesn't happen with empty memory card) the phone goes crazy...it keeps going on and off for like 4 times or so...then it goes totally off (screen is totally black) and my sister has to turn it on herself...then it all happens again..when she gets the memory card out it goes back to normal...but we've noticed that before this happens some sign shows up at the top of the screen right next to the battery...some sign that looks like a lock....dad asked the owner of the store...he said it needs new software or something....could comeone help me?? there are no updates for her phone..and i'm not sure how to get the original software...uhm...firmware....well?? anyone had this problem?? can you help me??

Problem with nokia 5200

Well i swapped my phone nokia 5200 transformer edition for a regular nokia 5200, the connection point were the phone, crahrges is loose i dont know if this is the reason for the phone not charging. is there a difference in the cahrgers or what...?

Are you referring to the Nokia 5300 Transformers Edition? Regarding on your problem, the charger connector might be faulty as well as the charger. Better bring your phone to a Nokia Service Center for a quick fix for free. I suppose it's a brand new phone so they won't charge you on repairs or replacements.

Problem with Nokia 5200 and Flash Lite themes...

My problem is pretty simple to ask, but maybe not to easy to answer...
I downloaded many Flash Lite themes for my Nokia 5200, and my problem is that the animated icons for the grid (that are SWF files) don't show/animate.
Is it supposed to be like that?
The firmware is v5.53

Oh, I forgot this...
In Carbide.ui, the icons DO animate as they should.

Problem with Nokia Video Manager - No video, only ...

Hi all,
I have a problem with nokia video manager. I have been converting movies to mp4 and watching with my cell phone for a while now. But all the videos I have converted were less than 30 min. long.
When I tried to watch a video longer than 36 minutes, the picture froze some time around 36th minute and only the sound continued to play. I have tried several other videos with similar lenghts and all seem to freeze at the same exact point. The player continues to play the sound after picture freezes.
Could someone please help ???

The sensor hardware is able to receive light in the same ratio as the pictures, and not in 16:9 ratio. Hardware cannot be adjusted. You yourself said you work with an SLR camera, and if you look through the viewfinder, you see that the camera lens sees the view in a "square" ratio as well like the phone. Creating software to render a picture in 16:9 ratio is just simply creating software that cuts off the reception of light in the top and bottom part of the picture so as to create a 16:9 effect. Meaning the camera is not utilizing the full 3.2 megapixels of the phone, and the result is just the same as getting the picture you took and editing it on your PC to show a 16:9 ratio.

Problem with Nokia Messaging on my N97 (V22)

Since afew weeks I have a strange problem with Nokia Messaging on my N97.
I receive emails using Nokia Messaging (V10.2.26) with a date shown incorrect as 01.01.0000 and the email then can’t be opened/read.
This happens either on 3G connection as well as WLAN and it seems to be by random, not only HTML-emails or emails with text only.
I have uninstalled Nokia messaging already and reinstalled V10.1.24 but the problem still remains.
Is there any idea how to fix this issue because it is quite annoying and I can’t use the full functionality of my cell phone?

absolutely m8. thats why i gave you a kudos.
the challenge is that NM has been unruly as of late...and believe when i say that i have literally been on the phone teching nokias support up to tier 2 and creating, canceling, trying new acounts with different email, different ways of creating them, with wifi, gprs...and praying for hours accross mutliple phone calls
but to no avail, are the devices we are using connecting and syncing...even with thier n900 specialist which i had to help him! lmao.
another option for a solution is alwayhs welcome as there are more then one way to skin a cat.
i hope it works for him and others as i kno9w thesome that are just giving up on it.

Problem with Nokia Camera and Smart Sequence

Hi,
I'm having a problem with Nokia Camera and the Smart Sequence mode.
Basically, if you take a picture using nokia camera, and view it in your camera roll, it usually says, underneath the pic "open in nokia camera".
Well, if I take a pic using the Smart Sequence mode, it just doesn't say "open in nokia camera" so, to use the functions of smart sequence (best shot, motion focus, etc), I have to open nokia camera, go to settings and tap the "Find photos and videos shot with nokia camera" option.
Does anyone has the same problem? Anybody solved it?
I already tried reinstalling nokia camera, but that didn't help.
I'm running Nokia Black on my 925.

I had the same problem with my 1020. It did get fixed with the last update to Nokia camera.
However, IIRC, it didn't just happen right away. When browsing the camera roll I'm pretty sure that the "open with Nokia camera" text wasn't there.
Slightly disappointed I opened the (Nokia) camera anyway and was going to test the smart sequence again. I noticed the only precious pic I'd taken using this actually appeared top left of the screen.
I opened it and I had all the smart sequence editing options again - that we're missing previous. Made a new picture and saved it.
Now when in camera roll the text shows below the image and all is good.
This probably doesn't help much except that it didn't seem to fix automatically.
I work @Nokia so I can ask around a bit to see if this is a known / common issue (not that I know any developers)

Problems with Nokia Photos (Lifeblog)

I have been using Lifeblog 2.5 on my PC running on Windows XP sp2 for more than 2 years and was very pleased with how this software worked. I regularly used it to transfer both photos and videos from my N80 and N95 to my pc. When Lifeblog was premium software I paid for the full version.
I had a problem with my PC and had to perform a destructive recovery on the C drive of my pc. I then tried to download the Lifeblog program again from Nokia only to be met with a SORRY greeting. So i was able to find the Nokia Photos software which I downloaded and installed. I then imported my Back up files from Lifeblog.
The problem with Nokia Photos is Videos do not play. Only SMS and Photos can be viewed even though I have ticked all the boxes.
I think that Nokia must have some problems with Lifeblog and Nokia Photos. Any help as to how I may be able to get it to work as well as it was before would be greatly appreciated.

When you switch on your device for the first time, the access points may be configured automatically based on the service provider information in your SIM card. Otherwise contact your operator or service provider to receive the access point settings if you cannot find it..

A problem with Nokia 5530 wirmware updating! Help!

I have meat the problem with Nokia 5530 firmware updating: updating allways finish with the message "Downloading of the variant package failed.Most probably there is non-commercial software in your device."
Is there any solution for that problem?

Nokia Software Updater has tried downloading the software, but this is failed 4 times.
Its posible that it can be caused by a bad, slow or instable internet connection.
This failure can also occur because we have maybe a problem with our servers.

I have sounds problems with iOS 7. I can not hear my music, all the apps have no sounds. Only when I ask Siri has sound but it's too loud and awful. I found 2 errors with I ask to Siri what things she can do in Spanish the is an error and one word or If I ask who am I? She said that I have to go to settings and indicate her who I am but I already have that configured. And I try to configure again just in case, I do the same question and she still doesn't who I am.

Try a Restart.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until the red "slide to power off" slider appears, and then slide the slider. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Resetting your settings

Try booting in Safe Mode by holding the the shift key immediately after powering on your system. Safe boot mode will for a directory check of your startup volume, then load only the required kernal extensions (kext files), and deletes some cache files. Once the system boots into Safe Mode you can simply restart the system to see whether the issue has been resolved.
If you still have the issue try resetting the SMC by shutting down the system and disconnecting the power cord for ~15 seconds, then reconnecting the power cord. Next, reset the parameter RAM (PRAM) by holding down the option-option-P-R keys after powering ON the system. Wait until the iMac restarts twice, then let the system boot normally.
