Sound volume dropping when punch in and out.

Hi,
I have an iMac 27" mid 2010 that I upgraded with 16GB RAM which runs Yosemite. I also have a focusrite sapphire pro 40 hooked to an octopre dynamic MK II. I am using Logic Pro 9.
When I record a band, after few punch ins, the software starts to glitch...
When I punch in, the punched stem is a bit quieter than the rest of the track, although nothing have changed in terms of levels.
Another issue is when I select the tracks I want to record before I press record everything is fine, then as soon as I press record all my tracks are record enabled apart from the ones I selected.
These issues occur always when the session is getting more tracks (approx 25/30 without any plug in just pure audio input)
Can someone please help!
Also I have a legitimate version of logic studio!

Hi,talked with an apple technician who told me the leds on memory boards lighting up is normal , when going in and out of sleep and also with booting up and shutting down...
The leds lighting up are marked as: Q3A1, Q3A2, Q3A3 and Q3A4, situated right of middle on memory board..This lighting up is accompanied by a click..and a winding down or winding up sound of a motor...
Your machine has this as well??

Turn off freaky little sounds when moving in and out of programs

how do I get rid of the annoying little sounds that accompany my moving in and out of programs.

Control Panel > icon view > Sound > Click the Sounds Tab
Here you can either Select something far less irritating than whatever is bugging you now
OR
You can scroll down through the list and selct "No Sounds"

Red light on memory-card when going in and out of sleep

Each time when my M,P, goes from and into the sleepmode, a little light flickers for a second from one or both of my memorycards...At the same time I hear an electrical click...
Is this normal??
Of course one has to open the side panel to see this happen..
Also when booting up, I hear the motor winding up up like a vacumecleaner, but then the sound gets soft : Normal??

Look at the prices at your carrier and the Apple stores and other authorized dealers.
If they go down, then, yes, prices drop.
If they do not, then no.

How to store variables when logging in and out of course

Hi there,
I hope I can explain this properly! I am developing a course using Captivate 7, and it includes drag and drop exercises, free text box entries and an unmarked quiz at the end of each module.
We are using Cornerstone LMS and learners will be able to log in and out and resume the course from the point they had last reached.
My problem is - if you enter text into one of the free text boxes, I have set it to store it as a variable, so that this variable can be displayed on another page in the course. But when you log out and then log in again, it has lost everything that was typed it.
The same with drag and drop - it doesn't remember where you had dragged the boxes to.
Is there a way that I can make sure the text entered into the text entry boxes is stored in the LMS and will still be displayed when a learner logs back into the course?

User defined variables are stored in the suspend data. As long as you exit the course normally and do NOT check Never Send Resume Data, your user defined variables should be available.
Captivate also stores quiz data, but not the state of a quiz. You will not be able to drag one object, exit the course and return with one object dropped. You can see an example of suspend data from my LMS, notice the user variable inRemediation which is initially false, but was set to true, then exited and returned with the value as true:

Speaker volume seems unreliable - cutting in and out

sometimes callers have a hard time to hear me, my volume is cutting in and out. It is not a question of reception. It is almost as if the speakers or microphone goes into some kind of sleep mode and takes a while to wake up after I start speaking.
Any idea why that could be?

There are curves, but not in the middle of the portion of the track I was listening to. If I were to listen to the same portion on my old iBook, no problem but the iMac is the only one presenting the issue. However, when I listen to the track playback over headphones connected to the iMac, the track's volume is fine.

Volume Drops When Skipping Song (via Lightning Adapter)

I currently have an aftermarket iPhone connector in my car, to which I have attached a Lightning adapter. On the road today, whenever I skipped a song (using the button on my car stereo), the volume dropped considerably for the next song. Only when I used the "fast forward" button did the volume increase back to its normal level. If I let the playlist go from one song to the next uninterrupted, the volume stayed as is.
Given the sequence of the events, I am assuming it is either the phone or Lightning adapter. While I did a hard reset, I have not had a chance to test in the car again. However, I do not experience the same issue with regular headphones.

Yes! Same problem here on two different iPhone 4s (mine and my wife's). If I watch the volume bar on the phones when I skip songs, it doesn't move, but the actual volume output drops to about half. Like the original poster, pause/play seems to fix it... until the next time I switch songs.
SoundCheck is off everywhere (phones and iTunes), so no help there.

Does new Premiere Pro CS 5.0.2 update solve hangup when clicking in and out of Premiere Pro?

I originally ran into the problem with Premiere Pro CS 5 (as part of the Production Premium CS 5 package) whereby on large projects, particularly with P2 media, Premiere Pro would hang up every time you clicked in and out of the application. What I mean by this is when you click your desktop or explorer or some other application, outside of premiere pro, and then you try to go back to premiere pro and click inside the application to get back to work, you get a blue wheel and it takes 10-30 seconds before premiere pro will re-engage and allow you to work.
I have installed the new 5.0.2 update and tested it on my original problematic project, having set up a new media cache file. The project prpro project file size is approx 30 mb and the reference media is approximately 300 GB on internal hard drive. Unfortunately, in my initial work and test with this as of today, this problem is not solved and the same hang up is occurring. When testing I have all other applications turned off, no internet connection and no firewall/anti-virus programs running (system mechanic).
I will be working extensively over the next few days with a new editing project and will reduce the project size and will report back if there are in fact any improvements or changes to this, but at this writing, this problem is not solved for me unfortunately. Possibly for others there is an improvement.

You know what it didn't work for me - but - and I only discovered the solution last night by happenstance - I wasn't trying all that hard to solve it as it wasn't as bad for me as apparently it is for you and others - but - anyway - for me the solution was my anti virus - I had it turned off when I installed the update - so once it was completed it appeared the problem had been solved by the update - but - then I turned the anti virus program back on - Avast free version BTW - and the problem was back - it was then I happened upon your thread and obviously I put two and two together - so - continuing - I have just now uninstalled Avast free version and installed AVG free version and - viola` - all is good - for now. Sorry to hear you are still suffering.
That has been my only nagging issue thus far with CS5 - all else - so far so good.

Clip stops when placing ins and outs

Why is it when I am on the viewer and I click the in or out marker it stops the video. I would like it to keep playing when I click the in's and out's. Can anyone show me how to do this? Thanks

My iphone 4S doesn't show the volume controls when playing videos and the speakers don't sound. But if I plug in the earphones then I can hear fine and the volume controls appear on screen. Please someone help.

After a week or so of installing IOS 7 now I having this problem, the speakers don't work for videos, music or apps sounds, but they work fine for using the speaker phone. It's definitely some software issue as the volume control appears when i plug in the earphones, but disappears when unplugging them, same happens with the volume buttons on the side, they don't work when trying to use the speakers, but the work when using the earphones. Please help if you have a workaround for this. I don't want to carry my earphones all the time to listen to videos and music.

- Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.

Cs5 wrong position of guidelines relatively to rulers measurement when zooming in and out.

Hi!
I noticed it long ago, and always were doing a trick by changing rulers measurement scale (for pixels to something else and back, or pressing a TAB key or something to invoke some event in photoshop) to have my guidelines snapped to right dimensions when zooming my view (in or out). This looks like a somekind bug for me, but maybe a miss something and there is a way to have photoshop updating the guidelines automatically when zooming?? Is there something for that issue??

If you are seeing the OpenGL animated zoom, i.e., where the zoom smoothly and quickly changes from one level to another, there is a known problem with the rulers sometimes not updating.
Assuming you're using Tabbed documents (not floating windows), with the Zoom Tool active, try enabling the [ ] Resize Windows To Fit option in the options bar near the top of the Photoshop main window. This should disable the animated zoom and ensure you will see your rulers update.

Black (or White) Box appearing on photos sometimes when zooming in and out.

I just recently upgraded to Adobe Photoshop CC and something really odd is happening: On some zoom levels I have this empy black or white box appearing. When I zoom in or out it disappears, or reappears.
However, when I save the file as a JPEG, or bring it into Google Nik it is OK. It's almost like there is a software bug, or a bad memory spot in my video card. Any suggestions?
