Sound volume (sound when called) of Nokia GSM's

My wife will get a new Nokia GSM as a gift. She does not hear too well (does not hear her actual phone when called, that's the reason for the gift). What Nokia phone(s) do(es) produce the LOUDEST POSSIBLE sound? I mean just the sound of the phone when ringing, not the sound level of the conversation.
This is a basic thing, yet it seems impossible to get info in any shop.
I am not interested in info on ringer tones, or vibration possibilities, just the LOUDEST SOUND OF THE CALL SIGNAL.

Depends on which nokia phone you use, some are louder than others.
My 6233 is a lot louder than my E65 when using the same rigtone. This is probably because the 6233 has stereo speakers.
My question exactly. What types are the loudest? My wife will get one as a gift, so that she will better be able to hear the phone ringing. She does not need fancy stereo speakers or ringtones.

  • No ring sound volume on incoming call, no speakerphone

My Xperia Z3 Compact is about 6 weeks old (US-unlocked) and recently the phone quit ringing audibly when I have an incoming call. When I get a call, the screen comes on and shows that I have a call, the phone vibrates like it always does and the LED flashes bright white. But no sound, no ringtone. Actually - a very quiet ringtone but through the small phone receiver speaker (where you listen to a caller with phone to your ear). All other notifications and stuff sound out normally: SMS, email, alarms, startup sound, music all work fine. Only incoming calls have no ring volume. I have checked the volume settings and have the ringtone & notifications volume slider wide open. I have changed ringtones, adjusted every sound and volume setting on the phone to no effect.
I did a hard reset and that did not solve the problem. After hard reset I let the phone update as necessay (the phone was up to date, many Sony apps updated). I did not re-install my data and called my phone a few times after the hard reset, still no ring sound on incoming call.
I did another hard reset and did not let anything update, still no ring sound on incoming call.
Related to this is the fact that on any phone call, the speakerphone does not work. If I turn on speakerphone, the caller can hear me but I cannot hear them. If I turn off speakerphone, everything is fine (I hear the caller in the earpiece, they hear me). The external speakers do work fine, I can play music, video, etc. and it all sounds fine. I have tried all of the different ringtones and they sound fine except for when someone is calling in and I hear nothing.
As an aside, this phone has not been dropped or wet or any of those things that might have created a problem.
    Any ideas?

  • Sound volume dropping when punch in and out.

    Hi,
I have an iMac 27" mid 2010 that I upgraded with 16GB RAM which runs Yosemite. I also have a focusrite sapphire pro 40 hooked to an octopre dynamic MK II. I am using Logic Pro 9.
When I record a band, after few punch ins, the software starts to glitch...
When I punch in, the punched stem is a bit quieter than the rest of the track, although nothing have changed in terms of levels.
Another issue is when I select the tracks I want to record before I press record everything is fine, then as soon as I press record all my tracks are record enabled apart from the ones I selected.
These issues occur always when the session is getting more tracks (approx 25/30 without any plug in just pure audio input)
    Can someone please help!
Also I have a legitimate version of logic studio!
    Thanks

    Hello Mogulman46,
So what that means is when you have Do Not Disturb turned on, you may have an alert depending on the setting and how you are using your iPhone. So if it is set to Always, then that means that no matter what, your iPhone will not be notified. If it set to Only while the iPhone is locked, then that means that you will not get notification when your iPhone is locked but you will get notifications if your iPhone is being used. Also keep in mind the settings All Calls From can be set to certain contacts like Favorites, Everyone or no one. If you are using Do Not Disturb and you do not need it, then turn it off.
Use Do Not Disturb on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

    Hello, Miryam Maria.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
I see you are experiencing issues with sound on applications when playing video/audio content.  If this is the case, the first thing I would check is if the side switch is set to silent as this can cause applications to be mute.  Below I have included an article that covers adjusting the  settings for the side switch.  Also, make sure to close all applications in Multitasking and power cycle the device.  Test the sound issue after processing these steps.

I really do not think it is the iPad or your network connection. Other users have reported this very same issue. Try this and see if it works for you - it may not work - but it's easy to try - harmless - and it has worked in the past for others.
Try signing out of your account and restart your iPad.
Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID and tap the ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. Go back to Settings>Store> Apple ID and sign in again.

    HI
i have iPhone 4s with iOS 8.1.3 , since 2 days I'm facing a problem that the ring tone, lock button sound, password sound, volume buttons, slide volume and incoming call flash,
all these not working properly , sometimes it will work and sometimes it will not, I tried to restart the phone many times but I didn't fix the problem

Try to reset the phone by holding the sleep and home button for about 10sec, until the Apple logo comes back again. You will not lose any data by resetting, but it can cure some glitches.
If this does not help, setting it up as new device would be the next step:

When I go to turn up the volume, it still says headphones. I tried restarting it a few times, nothing worked. I looked up many tutorials, and still nothing did the trick. Any tips?

    - Try cleaning out/blowing out the headphone jack. Try inserting/removing the plug a dozen times or so.
Try the following to rule out a software problem
    - Reset the iPod. Nothing will be lost
Reset iPod touch: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup
    - Restore to factory settings/new iPod.
    - Make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store. Seems you have a bad headphone jack.
Apple Retail Store - Genius Bar

  • Sound works until the call connects on Panasonic T...

Problem: Incoming sound does not work during a call. I have recently purchased a Panasonic TC-P55GT30 55" Plasma TV, a Panasonic SC-HTB520 Sound Bar, and the Logitech TV Cam for Skype. Everything works great except for one instance - a Skype call. Set up was fine, the camera works great, and when I make a call I can hear it ringing through the sound bar. The moment the call connects the sound goes out. When I try to change the volume it tells me the TV speakers are disabled. Well, yes, I am using a sound bar! I can't hear the person speaking. Since both the TV and sound bar are Panasonic they communicate using Viera Link so the TV remote controls the volume. It seems that the Skype software is switching the sound back to the TV speakers right when the call connects and there is no way to change this in settings. If I use the TV speakers the entire time the call works fine. The sound bar sounds much better and switching is not convenient. Is there something I am missing? Thanks, Cam

    Hi.
When you make Skype calls through the Panasonic TV, then the in-call audio has to be directed through the TV speakers, and any external speaker systems have to be disabled.
Normally, when you have sound coming through a set of speakers, this sound gets picked up by the microphone and sent to the person at the other end. This sound then gets picked up by their microphone and sent back to you, creating what is called an 'echo' (or 'round howl'
Skype uses some very complex technology to cancel out these echos, so that you get a natural sounding call. However, this 'echo cancelling' technology doesn't work reliably when you have external speakers connected into your TV (such as a surround sound amplifier or a sound bar). For that reason, Panasonic disable external speakers when using the Skype on TV function.
I did think, however, that Panasonic were switching automatically over to the TV speakers when using Skype (so that you don't have to go into the settings menu to make the switch yourself). I will confirm this with them...

  • The mic volume is too high when calling with an earphone without mic

There are a common problem on the mic volume when calling with my earphone (TF-10 pro without mic). The mic volume seems like turned to speaker mode, so all the background sound has also captured. Therefore, I would like to clarify that it is a common problem or not.

I can confirm this is NOT working, nor has it been since this version of Skype was released.  It works in Skype for Windows 7, but that is the desktop version.  It also works in the desktop version on Windows 8 and 8.1, but this forum is for the "modern" version that is downloaded from the Windows Store.  I have tried this on at least six computers and it fails 100% of the time.  I tried it prior to posting this message (5 minutes ago) to ensure that it had not been recently fixed and it has not.  Perhaps there is something unique to your setup that makes it work for you while it fails for everyone else, but speaking for myself and everyone I know that has used this version of Skype the issue remains.
The OP even mentioned that they tried this method and it did not work as expected.

  • No sound or sound bar when playing music or watching videos

    Hi,
I have recently been having a problem with the sound on my iphone 4s. The volume buttons do not control the sound (the sound icon appears but nothing happens) and when im watching vidoes or playing music there is no sound bar. The sound effects ( sliding to unlock and texing noises) come and go as well.
I can hear sound with earphones in though and the speakers do work on the phone as the phone still plays different ringtones in settings and on loud speaker calls.
    please help.

After restart, reset, the next steps are restore from a backup, or restore as a new device. See this support document about restores. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If a restore does not solve the problem, the next step is an appointment at the local Apple store Genius Bar to have the hardware checked.
