Sound works from one headphone only

Dear all,
I can hear sound from one headphone only.
I can confirm I have tried with three different headsets including the one provided by Sony.
I can also confirm the problem happens with all applications (Spotify, Walkman, SoundCloud) including the provided sounds and ringtones.
Also, the phone has not come in contact with water yet and it hasn't been dropped either (it's two weeks old).
Last time it worked, was last night when I connected it to my home stereo using a normal stereo minijack. It has stopped working since then.
I have restarted it a number of times and the problem persists.
Can you please advise?

Dude i have a big piece of fluff inside the hole, and it was the reason for the malfuction for me. Im happy aggain couse i was affraid a little.

I recently moved to a new apartment that has three phone jacks, the phone works fine on all three but my router will work only from the jack where the main feed comes into my apartment.
I have tried different cables, rebooting, unplugging, etc. Do I need to call for a technician?

It is possible the installation has a filter in the network box for the phone lines while the line to the jack which has the dsl service is unfiltered.

Hi, I've Mac Book Pro 15" with Retina display. Yesterday suddenly the sound output from my Headphone is not working. When I tried to solve this, I've noticed in system preferences it's jumping from Internal speakers to Head phone and vice versa. Can anyone help me on this issue please? I am using the original Apple Headset only.

Welcome to the forum.
I can think of three basic ways to accomplish what you wish to do:
Use the Project Archiver to archive your Project (and check the box to gather the media files), to an external HDD. Probably the easiest way to do it.
Copy the Project and ALL media files to an external HDD, but be prepared to relink the media files to the Project, as the drive letter (part of the Absolute Path) will have changed.
Edit loosely, and Share to an AV file, which will be Imported into a New Project on that second computer. Or, edit VERY tightly, and do the same. I like the first, as removing, replacing Transitions, etc., can be much more difficult, unless that "tight edit" is 100% done.

Without providing details on exactly what you did it is hard to provide an answer. It's like me saying, "This chocolate cake I made tastes wrong," but not providing the recipe for review. Maybe it was the garlic in that particular recipe.
If iTunes is successfully using a previous library which you rename to iTunes Library.itl then that is now the current library.
Have you restarted your computer and then tried emptying the trash?

I have created a PO for a plant with IN country.
I have deleted that line. Now i am adding a new line with another plant. This plant refers to US country.
System is not allowing to save and it is giving error message as below
Error:Please choose plants from one country only per PO (Here IN)

Can any one pls expalin why do i get this error even if i have deleted the first line. From where the country is getting refered and its throwing error inspite of deleting the first line.

Both the plants are created for the same company code.
One plant is with IN country and the other with US country.
And the company code is created with IN country and currency INR(T001)
Will this cause the error. Can you pls expalin.

HT201401 Only hearing sound from one headphone?

I only receive sound through one headphone, but have tried different headphones and the same problem exists. Any ideas on fixing the problem?

"You simply need a replacement headphone jack. The problem is one of the contacts in your headphone jack (the metal that touches the plug on your headphones) got bent/damaged/etc. Replacing the headphone jack should do the trick.
You can probably get it sent somewhere for servicing as well. You also have various options of trading it in or selling it, etc.

Nokia 6600 only works from one cell tower

I have this weird problem with my phone where it will only work off one cell tower. Once I leave the coverage of that cell tower it will not work anywhere else.
It started a few months ago and i'm not to sure why?
The funny thing is it's the cell tower on top of my building at work, so when i'm at work it will work (calls/txt/etc) but as soon as I go home or even go to another city it will not.
Any ideas?

The first thing I'd recommend you do is to reset your phone, but I can't tell from the 6600's webpage what OS you're running so I can't give you instructions on how to do this.
Have a look through your menus to see if you can find an option to reset to factory defaults, but please remember that doing so will wipe ALL data from your phone.
If you wish to backup your data you can do so using the PC Suite application which you can find here :

In-ear headphones playing audio from one side only

My apple in-ear headphones only play audio from one side. I've tried replacing the cap and mesh; and also tested the headphones on different devices and still get the same problem. Any advice?

Probably time to have them replaced.

Printing only works from one computer

I have an Epson Stylus C60 connected to the USB port on my Airport Extreme. There are two computers on the network, a PowerBook G4 and a MacBook Pro. Both computers connect to the network very reliably and have internet access. The problem is that the MBP cannot print to the connected printer. The G4 has always printed fine.
The MBP sees the printer as a Bonjour printer, and I can add it to the printer list without problem. When I try to print, I get a message in the print queue that there is a communications error with the printer.
In the airport configuration window, the printer is recognized and remote printing is enabled. Any idea why printing only works from the G4?

Thanks for your help. Yes, the driver is a universal binary and the printer works great when plugged directly into the computer. I just can't figure out why it won't work over the airport.
Any other ideas?

Sound out of one speaker only

Sound has started to come out of one speaker only. i've checked cords to amplifier etc etc and that is not the issue,. Anyone else had this problem?

Please try connecting a pair of stereo headphones to the audio port of your AirPort Express Base Station (AX). If you now get sound from both channels, the problem may still be either with the cables or the amplifier. If; however, you are still only getting sound from one channel, either the AX's audio port or its audio circuitry may have failed.

[SOLVED] Pulseaudio, sound coming from both headphone and laptop speak

I switched to PulseAudio a while back, everything is working fine, except I can't find a way to get sound "only" in headphones.
"Built-in Audio Analog Stereo" has three Ports: 'Analog Output', 'Speakers' and 'headphones'. Choosing Speakers give no sound, and choosing Analog output and headphones gives sound from both headphones (if it's attached) and laptop speakers.
I have pavucontrol installed but can't find any option for it in it either. Any suggestions?

That code looks specific to that sound card, though I tried it anyways, by changing
device=hw:M2496
to
device=hw:1
(where 1 is index of my card), but now I can't get any sound from my sound card. I have commented out those lines, removed .config/pulse, restarted pulseaudio, restarted laptop, but I still can't get any sound from that soundcard anymore. (EDIT: Apparently sound was muted in Kmix (thought it wasn't in pavucontrol), don't know how that works, maybe I missed something, anyways, I am again getting sound, but everything else is same.)
And my original problem still remains.
I am assuming if I know the names of channels (for headphone and laptop speaker), I can create a new sink/source and use that to route the sound properply, but I can't figure out exactly how to do all that.

Can't forward PDFs, from one sender only, from BT ...

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me with this?
If I receive a PDF as an attachment to an email, into my BT yahoo webmail, from one particular sender only, and I forward it to someone else, they don't receive the PDF attachment.
This doesn't happen with PDFs from anyone else - I can forward them OK. It doesn't happen with the problem sender if they instead send to my hotmail account- then I can forward them ok.
The sender doesn't have this problem with other people.
It's like some weird problem between that sender and my BT yahoo email account.
Can anyone shed any light? I have to receive PDFs from this sender every day, and forward them on to others! I'd like to avoid having to save them and re-attach, I just want to forward them in the usual way.

A poster recently had a problem downloading PDFs. It was all PDF that he received he was having the problem with. While the problem is not quite the same as yours the fix may work for you. He simply carried out a factory reset of the Homehub by pressing a pin into the red recess button for abt 20 secs. Waited till it all reset then tried and the PDFs downloaded.

Re-allocating Actual Costs and Actual Work from one project to multiple projects

My company would like to track costs in one project and then re-allocate those costs to multiple projects. Example: An end user would submit a timesheet against a task named 'Analysis' for Project A. Once accepted and published, the
costs for those hours would be subtracted from Project A and 60% of those costs would be transferred to the 'Analysis' task for Project X and 40% of the costs for those hours would be transferred to Project Y.
We believe we can accomplish this through reporting, but before we go this route, we wanted to make sure there was not a logical, supported way in MS Project Server to complete these actions. Could a script be developed to accomplish this?

Out of the box Project and Project Server do not support this. However with VBA anything is possible. You could also use PSI to work directly with project data in teh Server db but that would take much longer to develop. Check you can do what you want
in VBA then you can use the result to spec the server version afterwards.
