Soundbalaster for low profile HP

Hi guys, I have a HP DX270 small form factor low profile PC running Vista. Normal cards won't fit. Can anyone suggest a good low cost sound card I can use?

The Xfi Extreme Gamer has both backplanes so it can be used in full or low profile cases.

  • Need a low profile bracket for XtremeGamer card

/?I've recently purchased an SB XtremeGamer sound card which unfortunately came with a regular rear bracket. I need to get the low profile one for my current build. Does anybody know where I can locate one for a decent price? Does Creative carry it any more?
This is the bracket that I need. Thanks.

    Hi,
Sorry, I don't think the profile bracket is available through Creative. These brackets are usually included with certain models, but not sold separately.

  • Intel 6235 (Low profile vs. non low profile) Which do I need for gt70?

What's the difference between the two?
Which would is recommended for a A gt70?

Low profile is the thinner design for thinnest Ultrabook designs. That is not needed for a full size notebook like GT70.

  • Where can I get a low-profile bracket for p212

    Hi,
I have the adapter and a full height bracket but where can I get the low profile bracket?

Awesome. I sent you a PM perhaps we can swap. I actually need 2 half height brackets, but I'll settle with what I can get.

  • Low Profile Bracket for NX8500GT-MTD256EH

Hey guys, I have one of these:
    http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=proddesc&prod_no=1231&maincat_no=130&cat2_no=136
And I need to buy the low-profile vga bracket so it'll fit in my slim-PC.  I've tried contacting them via email, contact submission, calling several times, but never gotten a response.  Any easier way to get one of these?  Maybe a vendor?  Thanks!

If you would have done a search on Google you would have seen that the #1 complaint is that it doesn't come with a Low Profile Bracket... example:
    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16814127301
A site that sells the card WITH the low profile bracket...
    http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/PCI-E/nVIDIA+GeForce+8+Series/MSI+GeForce+8500GT+256MB+HDMI+Low-Profile+Silent+PCI-E+?productId=30971
A site that says you can buy the bracket from MSI (but the # doesn't work anymore...)
    http://www.pricespider.com/product-reviews/997462/MSI-NX8500GT-MTD256EH-GeForce-8500GT-HDMI-HDCP-Silent-Heatsink-Video-Card-Review-NX8500GT-MTD256EH.html
I knew of all these things already, but was hoping that the Forum had a good way of contacting MSI (because all the methods I've tried in Post #1 didn't work)

  • Capital Project Settlement Rule for lower WBS

    Hello,
At my present client, for Investment projects the client want to settle top level WBS to AUC and capitalise it. So ideally the cost from lower level WBS should flow to top WBS. I am using substitution to remove investment profile from lower WBS.My concern is how do I auto populate the settlement rule for lower WBS to top WBS. I am aware about settlement strategy and OSS note 211324 (however dont want to implement this note)
The appraoch I am looking for is using "WBS_SETTLEMENT_RULE' BAdI . However this BADI calls for strategy and I could not maintain the required strategy (settlement to top WBS). Is there some BADI/Function module available which can be called for updating the settlement rules on lower WBS while saving or Release ? Can I make use of exits in Substitution?
Please let me know your opinions.
    Thanks
    Sarang

Thanks Virendra. I agrree the only approach is development. But I need to give inputs to my developer.
We tried with BADI "WBS_SETTLEMENT_RULE" but it didnt work as it calls strategy in configuration.
So I am checking for some other options for e.g "WORKBREAKDOWN_UPDATE" which is called during save or Fn modules K_SETTLEMENT_RULE_FILL or K_SETTLEMENT_RULE_SAVE which I can use. This is a client requirement to create AUC only at top level n all cost to be rolled up to superior WBS n then settle to AUC.
The other option I was thinking is of using exits thru substitution.
What will be the best approach?
    Thanks

  • Low profile counter/timer board

Does NI (or anyone else) make a low-profile counter/timer board? Perhaps with specs similar to 6602? If not, are there some other options that I could look into (I think the sample rates may be too high to use USB)?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi greatgrandpadog,
Unfortunately, NI does not have any counter/timer solutions that are low-profile on PCI.
Our cDAQ-9171 single slot USB chassis has four 32-bit counter/timers that can use an onboard 80 MHz clock (detailed specifications).  For external signals, you would need to use one of our digital i/o module which have various specifications.  You can find a list of them here.  This will be the best way to go for a compact USB counter/timer.  If you have additional i/o, take a look at our CompactDAQ Advisor, where you can use a 4- or 8-slot chassis to expand your i/o in a single system.  For more sophisticated control, CompactRIO offers a similar platform but with FPGA and Real-Time for greater customization and reliability.  There is an online advisor for that as well, here.

  • Low-Profile SPDIF

    Hi.
I'm looking for a low-profile soundcard that has coaxial SPDIF inputs AND outputs. Can anyone recommend such a card? The specs on the product pages are very unclear as to exactly what connectors the cards have. I have no interest in any other features of the card, its simply to get SPDIF into and out of the PC. It needs to be a half-height card and backplate as thats all that will fit into the PC.
If necessary there is room to put in a second backplate with?the SPDIF sockets, but it would be preferable for the SPDIF sockets to be on the soundcard's backplate.
The PCs are running Windows XP
    Many thanks, David.

Vista allows for upto 7. configurations. But it doesn't support 6. as this appears not to be an industry wide standard.
In Windows XP it might have been possible for manufacturers to do whatever they wanted to in regards to speaker support, because they were allowed to completely handle audio (either in software emulation?or real?hardware).
Under Vista Microsoft only allows software engines and these only in specific points of the pipeline, which severely limits the abilities of vendors to differentiate. For example Sample Rate Conversion is entirely done by the OS, so the advantages of X-Fi's SSRC or the disadvantages of the EMU0Kx line in regards to the matter are extincted.

  • Audigy 2 ZS...Low profile bracket?

Have upgraded my old PC to a small factor Fujitsu Siemens and wanted to put my sound card in as the on-board isn't really that great. Is there a low profile bracket available for the ZS?
    Thanks,
    Phil

& I do not think you would be pleased with a low profile bracket for the Audigy 2ZS. Here is a picture of the low profile bracket on the X-Fi Forte....and I do not want you to think you would compromise with something like this:

  • Dell Optiplex GX270 (Low Profile Card AND Bracket)

    Hi,
I have done a search for this but couldn't find a definiti've answer. As the title suggests I have a Dell Optiplex GX270 which is a SFF (Small Form Factor) PC. Standard PCI cards?will not fit into this machine.
Can anyone tell me whether Creative offer a sound card that is not only low profile but also comes with a low profile bracket in the UK.
    Many Thanks
    Jamie

    Hi JCarnon,
You might want to read up about the X-Fi Xtreme Audio & X-Fi Xtreme Gamer, please contact the online store to find out if the bracket is available.

Call MSI and and ask them about it.

  • TV @nywhere Satellite II PCI Card - low profile bracket?

    Hi,
I have a low profile Antec Minuet case which only takes low profile bracket cards.
Can I make the TV@nywhere PCI Satellite II card fit in my case? It looks small enough....
Does it come with dual size brackets or will I be able to adjust the bracket to fit?
Please help - I really need to get Satellite into my case but cant find any Low Profile cards...
Also, can someone confirm if TV@nywhere PCI Satellite - the original version - allow me to receive HD satellite channels? Not too fussed about recording - just want to view HD Satellite? This card is easier to obtain in the UK - the new II version is harder to get hold of.
    Thanks!

    Hi Bas,
    thanks for your answer.
DVB-dream is a software to view tv on your PC. I want to watch blueray, radio, tv, watch pictures,... -> HTPC.
For this MCE is a nice standard software. I thing the problem is not MCE but MSI! After the message "... no signal.." the MSI software have to be start under admin rights to work. For me this is a hint to a bug in the msi driver.

  • About LOW PROFILE card!!!!! In hurry

    MSI 8400GS 512MB N8400GS-TD512 nVidia PCI-Express X16 Low-Profile
    Here is the wab link:http://www.xpcgear.com/n8400gstd512.html]http://www.xpcgear.com/n8400gstd512.html]http://www.xpcgear.com/n8400gstd512.html
Is this card for my computer??
Power supply bundled in my PC is 160 watts and I can only install graphic card which consumes less than 160 Watts.
So I want to know the power supply for this card?
    Thx for helping me!

I sent a Email to HP and they replied me that:
I have gone trough the product specifications and features of the HP Pavilion Slimline s3624uk Desktop PC carefully and found the following information for graphics upgrade:
The Motherboard of your computer is having the following slots:
    1. One PCI
    2. 1 PCI Express x16 slot (on some models, a graphics card may occupy the PCI-E slot)
    PCI-E card upgrade notes:
    a) new card must be a low-profile card
    b) HP recommends installing a card with power consumption of 25 watts or less.
    c)  Not all low-profile cards will fit into the PCI-E slot. Some connectors located at the top of a card may not fit properly into the back panel.
So, I would like to inform you that, you can purchase PCI Express graphics card. If you purchase the PCI Express graphics card then card should compatible with PCI Express x16 graphics slot which will meet your computer power supply specifications.
==Power supply Specification of your PC==
    Input voltage:
     * 100-127v/3A (50-60Hz)
                    * 200-240V/2A (50-60Hz)
    Max. output wattage:
     *  All regions: 108W
And I donnot know a lot about PC DIY. I will try to open to check my mainboard.
