SoundBlaster 7.1 24bit with 5.1 sys

Hi!I have a SoundBlaster 7. 24 bit and a 5. system and Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit. I install the last driver .04.0077. When I tested, all system was working, 2xFront, Center, Subwoofer, 2xRear, but when I play music or play some games, just 2xFront works. I have selected 5. system in Control Panel but just 2xFront works. When my soundcard will work fine In which date you would release the next driver for SoundBlaster 7. 24 bit We are in 4 January 2008 and the last driver is from 9 July 2007

did you enable the CMSS-3D in Creative Audio Console sound support in vista really suck at this time, i'm not sure who's to blame: creative or microsoft. anyway, you have to deal with it for the time. so get the audio console, set it up right, if you need it [not needed above 5.5] get a winamp surround plugin, set winamp [prefs-> playback-> allow surround sound]. get Creative ALchemy Uni'versal for EAX and DS3D support in games also.

Of course my setup is not 7. but 5.also my speakers are not using a digital connection...and when i went into media centre i had zero sound and same with music playback till i went into the control panel/sound window and selected digital connection...which again i am not using but this seemed to fix everything sound wise... maybe they got it backwards..who knows. but i'm trying to find out if you can get the cmss or eax stuff back. this having no treble or bass or equalizer or anyhting but plain ole sound..well.. sucks. • OSB Service with Oracle AQ with payload type SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE

I am trying to write a web-service to Enqueue/Dequeue messages from an AQ with payload type SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE defined in Oracle DB.
In my understanding is that I need to create a JMSModule within weblogic with a ForeignServer defined within it to enqueue/dequeue message to/from the AQ.
I have created Datasource, JMSServer, JMSModule, ForeignServer (created ConnectionFactory with localJNDIName="MyQueueCF" and RemoteJNDIName as "QueueConnectionFactory" and Destination with localJNDIName="MyQueueDest" and RemoteJNDIName="Queues/<queue_name_in_DB>")
My business service has an endpoint "http://localhost:7001/MyQueueCF/MyQueueDest"
When I am testing my service to populate message on to the Queue. I get the following error:
The error was oracle.jms.AQjmsException: Error creating the db_connection
My questions are:
* Am I following the correct procedure to talk to AQ with JMS text message type payload?
* If yes, how can I get around the issue I am stuck with?
Please help!
Thanks.

Example:
conn / as sysdba
begin
dbms_aqadm.create_queue_table
( queue_table=> 'SCOTT.AQJMS'
, queue_payload_type=> 'SYS.AQ$_JMS_TEXT_MESSAGE'
, compatible=> '9.1'
end;
This worked fine for me after a standard DB-installation.

According to Roaring Apps, there is a version of Protools compatible with Lion.  But you may need Snow Leopard 10.6.8 to buy either Lion or ML on MAS.   It looks like you need to get up-to-date with your OS and the apps too.

• I have a CD-ROM with file chassis.sys for my PXI-1042 chassis. What do I do with it?

I have a CD-ROM with file chassis.sys that came with the PXI-1042. How is that file used/installed?

Hi,
The "chassis.ini" file contains information which is used to generate a "pxisys.ini" file, which describes a unique combination of PXI chassis and controller. If you are using a National Instruments PXI controller, you will not need to use this "chassis.ini" file, because our Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) configuration software already contains the necessary information embedded. Instead, you simply need to setup your configuration in MAX.

• Tecra M5 Sysprep Problem with file hdaudbus.sys

We have a syspreped image, which has been created from a Toshiba Tecra M2.
Our current image works on the following model of machines :-
Toshiba Portege 4000
Toshiba Portge 4010
Toshiba Portege M100
Toshiba Portege R100
Toshiba Tecra M2
Toshiba Tecra S1
Toshiba Satellite Pro 6000
Toshiba Satellite Pro 6100
We now have to get the current image working with the new Toshiba Tecra M5.
The driver I am having a problem with is HDAUDBUS.sys
When the machine first boots up and almost before it even tries to build itsself, it says it cannot find the file 'hdaudbus.sys' and it seems like it is looking on the D:, if you browse to system32\drivers, then the driver installs correctly, but I cannot seem to automate this process.
I have copied over all the driver and inf files that are required.
I have populated the sysprep.inf file (under the heading "OemPNPDriversPath") with the driver and the correct path. This does not make any difference. I also have 'DriversSigningPolicy' set to 'IGNORE'
I have sysprep'd the image using -pnp, mini setup and reseal.
The question is :-
A) Am I doing something wrong and is there a correct way of getting windows/sysprep to automatically install this driver?
B) I have a fix for the above problem, which is :-
Put our sysprep'd image onto the Tecra M5, manually installed ALL the correct drivers and then re-sysprepped the image. The question is, Is it ok to do this? (It appears to work well)? Or is it not recommended to sysprep the same image, multiple times, on different model machines?
Any advice would be appreciated!
Thanks

Hello Mark
Your posting is very interesting but I really don't know who should help you. Like you can see this is user-to-user forum and you will be lucky if someone can tell you anything about your problem.
This file is Microsoft one and try to check on some Microsoft support page if there is solution available.

• Soundblaster Live! 24bit Problem with

I recently bought this card along with my new headphones (Zalmans) intended for gaming.
System Specs:
Windows XP (SP2)
Amd 64 3000+
Sapphire 9600 Pro
2x 52 sticks Kingston PC3200
Floppy/DVD/HD etc...
Anyways the problem only occurs with the mic during ingame. Either using the voicechat provided or a third-party one. It still ends up a static mess when i use the mic (one person descibed it as if the mic volume was suddenly maxed out, like somone was talking into a very loud mic). I've tested the mic when im not ingame and its clear and normal. Ruling out a faulty headset, the problem is isolated with the Soundcard and using the mic ingame. If anyone has any suggestions.

• Soundblaster live USB 24bit, crackling with dvd/cd drive.

I know there are a ton of you out there with crackling problems however I haven't really been able to find anyone with a problem identical to mine. I only get crackling when I play a video on a cd or a dvd. I've played the same file twice, once when it was on my harddri've and once when it was on a cd. ON the cd it crackled, on the harddri've it was fine.
I've downloaded all the updates from creative but am pretty much stumped from there.
Any suggestions?
Kyle

A primary CD dri've would be D: A secondary would be E: and the third could be anything really, but I would guess F:?
Go into the bios and dissable S.M.A.R. T. Then in the bios cheak the DMA is set to auto.
under PnP set PCI latency to 64.
If this fails. Remove your secondary and third dri'ves and try just D:
Remove that little grey wire thingy that runs from the CD dri'ves to the sound card if you have it in use also as you may well be running it via this. I am not to sure how or why but its worth a try. I never bother with this cable with any new system I build as I am yet to find a use for it.
Also, the main volume control and the WAVE volume control turn them both down to 95%. At max they can give a gain effect much like a Guitar AMP can if you up the master volume.

• Having Troubles on Soundblaster Live! 24bit external and 5.1 out

Hi all,
I've installed a Soundblaster 24bit external on my Acer 5920 Laptop and connected through SPDIF to an Yamaha RX-V550 Amplifier but I only obtain stereo sound and not 5..
Which is the cause? I'm using VLC media player and already installed AC3 filter and turned ON the option "use spdif" and selected 5. audio sistem.
Regards?

I completely agree. I had so much fun with the effects and making my own...shame it seems evey time people try to 'improve" something they only take away the best parts.
I'm needing an external sound card with that good old EAX console, but obviously creative doesn't think it's good enough to have on portable versions.

• Creative SoundBlaster Live! 24bit Crashes system on Gigabyte's GA-G19

Hi,I have lately purchased the Gigabyte Motherboard Model No. GA-G975X, with the onboard Creative CA006 chip. (Sound Blaster Li've! 24bit)I use an Intel Pentium 4 processor 3.4GHz , 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 Cache.I use .00GB of RAMMy OS is Microsoft Windows Professional Version 2002, Service pack
<SPAN>My Problems are:
<SPAN>The sound of a played media stops abruptly and keeps repeating with a high pitch till it shuts down the player software & the System.</LI>
<SPAN>The OS restarts.</LI>
<SPAN>I have noticed that the problem occurs if I try to use another program or service beside the one using SoundBlaster. (ex. dialup using a phone line.)
<SPAN>I tried the system with all creative drivers uninstalled the problem was gone.
<SPAN>Have you got any clues about the cause and the solution.
<SPAN>
<SPAN>Best Regards,<SPAN><FONT face=Verdana color=#ff0000 size=3>[email protected]]Vittorio
<SPAN>

Exactly same behaviour with G975x MB !!! The CA006 chipset is not anouncing itself correctly to the APIC HAL Windows XP system (Hardware Abstraction Layer). First, the card was not correctly detected by the system ! I got an audio controller detected in component manager but driver or Creative setup are not able to detect hardware !
After many complaints at Gigabyte or Creative, no answers for this problem or only evasi've answers. Windows registry are detecting these components :
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\P CI\VEN_02&DEV_0007&SUBSYS_0602&REV_00\4&bc67b8d&0& 28F0
where VEN_02 is for CREATIVE Labs.
Here are the HardwareIDs detected :
PCI\VEN_02&DEV_0007&SUBSYS_0602&REV_00
PCI\VEN_02&DEV_0007&SUBSYS_0602
PCI\VEN_02&DEV_0007&CC_04000
PCI\VEN_02&DEV_0007&CC_040
But for 24bit li've (or audigy2 CA006 LS) hardware ID must be SUBSYS_00602 and not SUBSYS_0602 to be detected by creative setup or installed manually by P7.inf setup file !!! The P7CPI.dll file is not accessing correctly hardware and is faulty !
Installed manually, the card is not responding or crash system, and windows startup time is increased by 5mn, at least !
To resume Chipset are not correctly detected or are corrupted, and only thing to do is to RMA the motherboard as I !!!
This problem seams to be a standard behaviour from CREATIVE chipsets product line and many users are experiencing the same problem... Both Creative and Gigabyte are not responsible for that bad use of their product !!! Sure !!! Always bad naughty users are doing bad things with their boards, like playing tennis with, or trying to have a good shower with these scrappy cards !!! Everybody knows that we are all stupid basic lambda users with no idea about what is a mobo used for !!!

• USB Live! Sound Blaster 24bit with poppi

Hi. A month or two ago I purchased my usb connected Li've! Sound Blaster 24bit from CompUSA. It has worked fine with my logitech 5. speakers. Yesterday, I bought a 60gig Maxtor harddri've from compusa, also USB. Since I installed that, my sound has been having loud pop sounds once in a while, especially when data is being transfered to the harddri've. I have a 400watt powersuply, amd athlon single core processor, gig ram, onboard harddri've, a geforce nvida 7800gt graphics card. The video card has a printed requirement of 350watts. The harddri've has its own powercord, and the usb that connects it to my PC, and so do the logitech speakers I have both the sound blaster and the harddri've plugged into the rear of my PC.
The poping sound happens about twice, then the sound blaster box makes a click sound and turns off. When I unplug, then plug it back in or press the mute button on it, it comes back on, but I have to restart whatever application that was playing the sound because it no longer works. For instance, if I'm listening to music on iTunes, and the card turns off, I have to close iTunes and reopen it or no sound will come from that application, same goes for media players, web based sound i.e. youtube. When the card turns off, the green and blue light on the front turn off, while I can still see a red glow from the 'optical output' slot.
The only change I made with my PC is plugging in the harddri've. The popping/shutting off of the card happens both when I play sound thats stored on the external dri've, and stuff like my iTunes which is on my internal. The model number of my card is 580490 and the box had a sticker that said '5. home theater audio for your PC' plus another sticker that said '64 bit, Windows XP Pro x64'. I downloaded the drivers for this, but when I tried to apply them, it said they didn't need to be updated. I don't know how to uninstall them.
Thanks, asukar

AmusedToDeath,
It's not referring to the cable. That information is referring to your computer USB controller. If your computer USB controller is only USB . then you will face the limitation.

• 16bit 24bit with M-audio fasttrack

I just bought an m-audio fast track pro audio interface and hooked it up to my macbook (10.5.8) iTunes plays through it without problems and Logic express can record etc etc and all seems to work.
BUT only when I set the sample depth to 16bit, itunes plays with 24bit but when I use Logic I get a very bad digital distortion in the output. I have to set it to 16bit in the system preferences, then it works.
I thought Logic express can handle 24bit, the interface can handle 24bit, why doesn't it work then?
What did I do wrong?

I now just found out it seems to have something to do with the USB ports. Are they different (on a Macbook) It looks like it depends on which one is used wether you can use 24bit or 16bit recording/playback. Does anyone know about this?

• Soundblaster live! 24bit external 5.1 surround H

i purchased a new dell m70 and i plan to use it for audio recording mixing ect. and i need to be able to have 5. surround sound. I have been impressed with Creative products, and so i purchased the soundblaster li've external surround card to use with my logitec 5. surround sound speakers. I updated the drivers for vista ultimate, and yet i cannot get accurate channels. All the sound comes from the front 2 channels. Please, someone help me set up the card properly with true 5. surround.

Hello Jason, Nvidiot,
SUCCESS!!! After Jason's post, I decided to troubleshoot by switching cables at both ends - what I found was that all three jacks on the card were indeed functioning OK - there was output from the PC side but it was not being received by the amplifier. After hours of looking through the manual, and switching the the various config modes on the remote for the amp - I decided to look at the amplifier itself. There was this one little bummer of a button (not mentioned in the manual, nor configurable via remote) that needed to be pressed on the amplifier itself in order to activate raw 5. input - and LO AND BEHOLD!!!
Thanks once again for your efforts to help.

• SoundBlaster Live! 24bit & - defective line-in function

3 of my Li've! 24bit cards had their Line-IN function terminate after about an hour of use. ? Another card never had a working line-in function. The output is not affected. The operating system is WinXP SP3. Cards work flawlessly in output mode. I had never tried to use the line-in function before now.
I checked all connections & confirmed correct signal from my tape deck entering card. Everything works OK with on a computer utilizing another brand card.
The problem has occurred on PCs with different motherboards. Everything looks OK in the software.
I realize others have posted the same problem. I cannot find a posted solution. I would really like to find a fix or workaround. .
I STUMBLED UPON THIS SOLUTION:? THE ORIGIN OF THE PROBLEM IS THAT WIN XP SCRAMBLES THE LIVE!24 SOUNDCARD SETTINGS WHENEVER YOU REBOOT.
Go to the "Sounds and Audio Devices" section of Control Panel & click on the "Audio"? tab. Then change the recording settings from line-in to microphone. Next go to the "Playback" section & see that XP reset your settings & checked the mute box at line-in so? uncheck that box and the normal line-in function resumes? working. I don't know why this works but it has now worked on 3 different PCs including one with a Dell version of the Li've!24 card. You need to to this every time you reboot if you want to use the line-in function.

Yes, I have repeated it several times now. It doesn't make sense to me to check "microphone" when you really want line-in but it [email protected]
