Soundblaster Audigy 2 EX and Time coded Vi

Hi there,
I use a sb Audigy 2 EX and the program Virtual DJ 4 and two turntables with Time coded VInyl.
The first turntable is connected to the line in port and the second turntable to line in 3.
Line works fine but I don't get a signal on line 3..
Is there a difference between the line in ports? (I am not using the Microphone input).
What could I do wrong?
Thanks for your thoughts.

  • AUDIGY 2 ZS Platinum + Time Coded Vinyls (TCV) in ASIO Mode...

    OK, question is 'somewhat' simple.
Has anyone been able to connect Audigy 2 ZS (Platinum or Pro) to Virtual DJ (latest version) and use the Time Coded Vinyls? Can It be done in ASIO mode? As to send data from the turntables with the TCVs into the SB card inputs, then from the SB card outputs back to the physical mixer, and then from the physical mixer back again to SB card main input (just to name it so) or to an amplifier, either for multichannel upmixing for home using or high power end for a public event, respectively.
    Any success? Any better ideas?
    Thanks a lot.

  • Soundblaster Audigy ZS 2 and teufel decoderstatio

I want to buy the teufel decoderstation 3 for my Surround-system Teufel Conzept E. I have the Soundblaster Audigy ZS 2. My Question: Does the Audigy 2 ZS work with the teufel decoderstation 3.
Here is the link for the decoderstation:
    http://www.teufel.de/de/Multimedia/s_2.cfm
Here is the link for my Surround-System:
    http://www.teufel.de/de/Multimedia/s_38.cfm
    The Sites are in German.
    thx.

It will work for DVDs or any other source which is pre-recorded in Dolby Digital/DTS. Games and stuff will work in stereo if you connect digitally via SPDIF ( coax/optical ).
I don't think it has 5. channel inputs. It appears to have a lot of stereo inputs for connecting different stereo souces as well as an optical and a coax input.

  • Soundblaster Audigy SE static and low volume problems...

Well, after failed attempts at getting my onboard ich5 chipset to work (which turned out to be Alsa 1.0.10 and 1.0.11 as 1.0.9 worked fine with it.) I decided to get a new soundcard. I purchased a Soundblaster Audigy SE.
The card is detected, there are no errors, and I can actually hear sounds coming from every application that plays audio. The only problem is, there's a loud static over these sounds which makes the sounds barely audible. Loud static, low sound. I've tried several different options in alsamixer but it doesn't help the static. By the way, the only options in alsamixer are for IEC. There are no "Master" or "PCM" sliders. (Not sure if this is what these cards do or not.)
Is there anyone out there that has this card and has been successful with it? I'm definitely having no luck with the sound thing lately. If anyone has any information or experiences with it, let me know please. I've googled around but really found nothing that helps as far adjustments and whatnot.
NOTE: I have read of success with this card in some other distributions.

maybe you can set it manually with amixer.
    amixer -h
    probably something like:
    amixer sset Master on
    amixer sset PCM on
    and to increase the volume:
    amixer sset Master 30
    amixer sset PCM 30
but it prolly don't work... Have you checked out the links at the bottom of: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/All … nd_at_once ?
Also i seem to be getting louder sound from the oss emulation kernel module for some reason... maybe you can up the audio in audacios or something for the oss sound and have it affect the whole system? that's just a shot in the dark..

  • SoundBlaster Audigy Value: Delay and echoing of sound output from head

I'm having problems with the sound output of my voice when chatting using a headset.. I can hear echoes and there are delays occasionally. I first thought the problem was with the headset, and so I changed it. However, the problem persists!
When I plugged my headset in my laptop instead of the desktop with the Audigy Value installed, I didn't encounter any problems at all with the sound. So I thought the problem is with the Audigy Value souncard.
What could be causing these problems?

You need set the ASIO latency through CT ASIO panel and not through Audition settings. ASIO Panel has only settings as milliseconds so if you select 10 or lower value your delay problems should be fixed.

  • Soundblaster Audigy 2 Value and Digital I/O Mod

I recently bought this card, and the shop I bought it at did not sell the Digital I/O Module. I was wondering if anyone knew somewhere in Australia where I could buy it.

Only place I've ever seen any of the bays sold is on Creatives UK online store and then its for an A2ZS so not sure it will work for you for basically 80 pounds with VAT. Here's a link for it http://uk.europe.creative.com/shop/product.asp?prod=588

  • Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum and Acid Pr

Hello. I am using an Emachines with 3.3GHz Celeron and .5G RAM and Windows XP SP2. I am trying to record with Acid Pro 6 at 24bit and 44.khz (seems to work with the default audio device - Microsoft Sound Mapper or something like that) but I do not get the I/O options that I have with?the Audigy. I went to Options - Preferences then clicked on the Audio device tab and I tried to switch the audio device?to Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS and I get a message saying that this device does not support that bitrate or sample rate. The only time it will let me switch to Soundblaster Audigy is if I first change to 24bit and 96khz. The problem with this rate is that?it consumes hard dri've space rapidly. Can the Audigy 2 ZS support a 24/44. rate? I am still trying all kinds of troubleshooting. I'm also researching on the Acid Pro forum for info. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you. Jeremiah

  • Soundblaster Audigy and Ventri

I have a soundblaster Audigy SL? and use ventrillo for gaming. I tried headphones... I even physically unplugged my speakers from my soundcard and I still get game noise on vent? which of course dri'ves my friends crazy with the "feedback"? I have my connections plugged in accordingly? is there a setting somewhere i have missed?

I *think* you have WhatUHear as the record device. Open up the Creative Control Panel (volume) and the far right option with the word Rec as the heading may have WhatUHear under it. You can click a drop down arrow and chose Microphone. Also, in Control Panel go to Sounds and Audio Devices, Audio Tab and click volume for Sound Recording. Make sure the tick is in the Microphone column.

  • SoundBlaster Audigy RX/5 Bass Redirection

    Hi everyone,
i have buy the soundblaster audigy rx/5 and after i installed the driver i cant find any option to activated bass redirection. I wondered about because every onboard soundcard i ever had has this option.
So exists any way to enable bass redirection for example an alternate driver like the one for audigy 2 and 4 on this forum?

    Hi,
Unfortunately the Sound Blaster Audigy RX does not support bass redirection.
I found this site with more information on bass redirection and a download link here.
I've not tested this filter, so I cannot tell you if it will work to your requirement.
Use at your discretion and risk.

  • Logic 5.5 and Soundblaster Audigy 2 NX

    Hi,
Apologies if I ask some realy dumb questions, but I'm a complete novice in terms of this sort of thing.
I have Logic 5.5 for my PC and have bought the Soundblaster Audigy 2 NX to use with the program so that I can record guitars, bass, and vocals for my band. I have gone through the process of installation via the CD supplied with the sound card, but Logic will not allow me to do any recording. I am reliably informed that this is to do with the fact that I don't have any ASIO drivers (not really sure what that means though!).
Is there somewhere that I can download (preferably for free!) the necessary drivers to make the program work, or is the product unlikely to work at all?
    Any help is appreciated.

When i do uninstall my soundcard (i need to uninstall current driver to install new driver)and i restart my comp after removing the old one i get sound, but i notice i don't get very good sound, not as good as my old before it stoped working. But then after i install new one it just doesn't work!

JRe: Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Speaker issues not covered by FAQs0 I'm afriad that the CMSS3D option did not work? ? I still cannot get any speakers to play out of the rear of the soundcard.
As I said before, the goal is to try to get sound to play out of both the headset and the speakers attached to the rear of the soundcard simuntaneously.
The headset is plugged into one of those devices in the front that is in a 5 & /4" bay that has the individual knobs for adjusting volume for the headset and outbound levels for the microphone.
The speakers are plugged into the back of the soundcard and do not play any sound in any of the sockets, starting from the firewire port and counting 3 over.
Any suggestions? I? thought it might have something to do with the setting of the speakers from control panel - > Sounds and Audio Devices -> Advanced and picking the right choice there. No luck however. Same for the Creative Speaker Settings as well.
I'm at wits end and I'd be very thankful to whoever can resolve this for me. =)

    Hi,
I dont suppose we have any option to achieve this at Query Designer level. Your requirement can be achieved in Workbook,
Insert text template in one of the cell in your workbook, context menu--properties-Constant Tab----Check Display last Refreshed. Doing this you will get Date and Time of last refreshed data.
    Thanks,

  • How to install The Soundblaster Audigy SE in Windows 7 RC?

:How to install The Soundblaster Audigy SE in Windows 7 RC?Y Two days ago I bought a Soundblaster Audigy SE-retail soundcard. I have a dual boot PC with Windows XP-SP3 and Windows 7 RC. The installation of the soundcard?in Windows XP was easy, no problems, good sound.
But how to install in Windows 7 RC ?
I have the installation and applications CD with XP and Vista drivers and I have the driver-download from Creative.com SB24PCDRV LB 0 - 04 - 0090.
Windows 7 tells me "No device for audio output is installed". Windows automaticly?installed a driver, but that doesn't work. (code 39). The driver download from?creative does not install new drivers and when I try it manually Windows tells me "The best driver is already installed"
When I uninstall?the driver that Windows installed and try to install the downloaded?creative driver for Windows 7, the driver will not install, and Windows message is something like "?no audio device is installed on this computer"
What to do ? A computer without sound is nothing...
    Thanks,
    Arie

    >Re: How to install The Soundblaster Audigy SE in Windows 7 RC?% Meocene is 00% on the money. Dan K.'s pack is the best. I have used the pack on four different systems with AUDIGY LS and SE cards that I bought cheaply (all four on Ebay for $40). The package has worked under XP, Vista, and Windows 7 very well.
I have friends that play Left4Dead and they have been immensely pleased when playing the games in their flats with or without headphones, as compared to their old "onboard RE--t-k" sound.
The package also works well on a Gateway or HP machine when disabling onboard audio first then installing the Audigy and installing drivers and apps for the first time. Gi've up on using your old CDs, you will only run into a mountain of trouble trying to "Auto-Update" all that with the newest patches.

  • Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS - static no

    Hi,
I have a Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS soundcard in my Dell Dimension 4700 computer. Recently I started getting a lot of static - like rice crispies crackling.
It would go away sometimes after powering down, but come back after a few hours. After reading some of the posts here I tried moving the card further away from the video card. This seems to allow me to run longer without the static - a few days was my last try. But the static did come back and I had to power down to get rid of it. Now I am static free for several hours, but I think it will be back. I can't move the card any further away now - it is in the last slot. I'd appreciate any feedback on ways to fix my problem and what exactly my problem is. I don't really understand what is causing the static. Thanks in advance,Steve

I have the same card -- and the same problem -- in my Dell XPS Gen 3 system.
Two weeks ago, I started getting constant static though my speakers. I didn't know what the source of the problem was and, since I have a year left on my warranty, I called Dell tech support. I subsequently embarked on a two-week troubleshooting nightmare which involved all sorts of fun stuff including:
A system restore (rolling everything back to factory settings and having to reinstall everything)which did not solve the problem
Determination that I had faulty speakers (which turned out not to be the case after the speakers were replace with brand new ones)
Complete reformatting of my hard dri've and a full reinstall of the operating system (Windows XP Professional (turns out the XP professional disk I got with my computer actually contained XP Home, so I am looking forward to another round of reinstalling the OS once Dell ships me the proper software). The reinstall did not solve the problem.
The Dell people finally had me relocate my computer and 6-piece speaker system to another room (to see if an electrical source was causing the static). Static was still there.
They finally determined that the problem was in the Creative sound card, even though their diagnostics gave it a clean bill of health. My guess is that one of the input jacks developed a bad connection with the card after 2 years of use.
I have not yet received the replacement sound card. I'm crossing my fingers that when the new one arri'ves, the static problem will disappear.
So if you work through Dell tech support, do yourself a favor and cite my problem. It may save you hours and hours and hours of frustrating troubleshooting.
To be fair, I have to say that the various Dell tech reps I worked with were very thorough, polite, and accommodating. They did things by the book, which is really the only way to approach a mystery problem like the one I'm having.
The downside is, during the past two weeks, I've spent more time trying to get my computer back in shape than I've spent working (I'm self-employed). But it was also a learning experience and I now know a lot more about computers than I did before.
I hope you get your sound card problem solved quickly with less pain and suffering than I went though.
