Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS lost the sound with new upd

Question

I newley used the?web auto update on?my soundblaster?Audigy?2?ZS
it found a new EAX driver and?a update to Media sourche 5.
This are?either old update?feat?that?have accidentley?uninstalled itself from my system, or its pretty new updates? you will tell
Anyhow after installed both of?them and rebooting i have now lost the sound completley even thou?the components itself?reported no error, its in THX setup consol you now?can atleast?see the problem, computer have now decided that i have no option rather?than having digital output marked?as output selection, if i change to analog as it shall be and?allways have been?it have?changed back to digital?again when i reopen the setup window
what did this update do? whas it a?digital only update that still?whas marked recomended?for me?and is there anyway i can fix this?without reinstalling the whole sound?driver from scratch?, or use a old xp restore point and go back, but theres a risk in doing the last

I have been trying manually with a registry program to list every item related to "Creative tech" and "creative" and then deleted the keys that sounds like?i can trust, its risky i know, the proper uninstallation-process?remains broken so i guess i have failed to completley uninstall yes
my cd is damaged i believe, it have som dirt on a spot?that have been burned into the?enamelm and i cant pollish it away, so right?now im trying to copy the files to HD and then install again, but seens its generate "redudant check protocoll whas delayed" error?on a certain cd?folder i must?use?program?"cd-roller" to extract the files lol, but on the other hand?that only have?affected the plxcore error so far?in reality, its the web?updates that are screwing up in the end most often, so perhaps this cd to dri've?is totaly?unessesary messaure? i just wanted to check
So?Katman once and for all now,?could you help me solve this mystery that have pointed in my ass for years, today?i once again succeded with the cd installation after manually bringing plxcore in place, and?i was close again to allsp?update the driver without getting a broken surround mixer startup alternate?lost components in the control panel?afterwards
the problem have allways been the below?update-file, no i dont wanna skipp updating, cause?i have recieved problem with certain games if it isnt?updated, and it have worked in the past and it shall agian, i have?just choosed right?on both alternati'ves?accidentley before i suspect

It puts me before two options in two different ocassions
