Soundblaster audigy platinum jack panel compatibility with audigy 2 or audigy 2

Can I use a Soundblaster audigy platinum dri've (the front case jack panel) with an audigy 2 or audigy 2 zs sound card? Is it compatible? This is so I don't have to by a platinum version of the audigy 2 or audigy 2zs and spend the money on another dri've panel just to upgrade the sound card.

As both the Audigy and Audigy 2 lines report they are compatible with WinXP, is there any reason I wouldn't be able to use my Audigy Platinum system I bought in 200 with a suped up new Dell Dimention desktop system I just bought? I guess the question behind the question is, what's the difference between the Audigy and Audigy 2 besides just the parts not being compatible with each other and the true bit thing fixed? Thanks!

• P35 Platinum front panel audio with Antec P180 case?

God I have a headache after reading all those "front panel audio" threads.  Why can't mb's all use the same freaking pinouts!!!!
The case doesn't have a HD front panel.
MB pinouts are:
1. Mic_L         (MIC Left Channel)
2. GND
3. MIC_R        (MIC Right Channel)
4. PRESENCE#
5. LINEout_R   (analog port right channel)
6. MIC_JD       (MIC jack detect)
7. Front_JD
8. NC (empty)
9. LINEout_L    (analog port left channel)
10. LINEout_JD
Case Front Panel connector is a preconfigured block with pigtails hanging off in case it doesn't match up.
1. MIC Signal
2. MIC Power (MIC BIAS)
3. Ground
4. FPOUT-R (front right)
5. FPOUT-L (front left)
6. RET-R (rear right)
7. RET-R (rear left)
glaring differences are the ground and the MIC connectors.
How do I connect these?  I don't want to fry anything.
Thanks.

They do have the same pinouts. There are two standards is the reason for two different pinouts. It's just that your MB is Intel HD and your case is AC-97.

• Are Configurator 3 panels compatable with CC?

Sorry if this has been asked before.  Any problems using the same CS6 panel with CC?
Jim

It depends on the panel, but quite a few of them work.
If it's your own panel and it doesn't work, there is a preview release of configurator 4 on adobe labs.

• Samsung Smart Panel - compatibility with Mac OS X Lion

Am using a MacBook Air with OS X Lion and have a Samsung CLP-315 color laser printer in the office.  My concern is that the Smart Panel does not seem to work with 10.7 Lion.  This is a bummer since I can't seem to determine the amount of toner left in my cartridges, unlike when I was using 10.6 Snow Leopard.
Does anybody know if the Smart Panel is already compatible with 10.7 Lion - or alternatively, does anyone know how I can determine the content of my toner cartridges?  The LEDs on the control panel on the printer only tells me when they're actually empty - so it doesn't really help.

Smart panel works OK for me on Lion but the printer is CLP325-w. (though only recently updated and Im pretty sure it was ok on the CLP315 too.
To check status go to system preferences>Print&Scan and the check the options and supplies box. You should be able to see 4 toner levels.
Also, what happens when you actually choose to print? On mine I get a box appear which actually shows toner levels each time.
I'm not actually in the office right now so I'll check later and post again if I can add anything.

• NI IVI Soft front panel compatibility with IVI-COM drivers

Does IVI soft front panels support IVI-COM instruments drivers ?
For example, I would like to use IVI-COM driver for Tektronix TDS5000 with TestStand...
Jean-Louis SCHRICKE
├ CTA - Certified TestStand Architect (2008 & 2010 & 2014)
├ CTD - Certified TestStand Developer (2004 & 2007)
└ CLD - Certified LabVIEW Developer (2003 & 2005)

The IVI soft front panels that ship with the NI IVI Driver Toolset do not support calling IVI-COM drivers. The soft front panels support IVI-C drivers. On Instrument Driver Network there are IVI-C drivers for other Tektronix scopes.

• Problem with Audigy 2 Platinum Front Panel Input

0Problem with Audigy 2 Platinum Front Panel Input? Hey everyone,
Here's the background of the issue. I got a PS3 over the holidays for literally free
I had my computer out in a testbed style. Plugged the PS3 into my monitor HDMI --> DVI cable, and Red/White into the front RCA jacks of the Front Panel (Aux 2). As soon as I plugged in the cable, I got sound out of my speakers and was able to enjoy my PS3 in 720p
I put all of the components back into the case after cutting exhause and intake fan holes. I brought everything back to school, fired up the PC and PS3. Lo and behold, there is no more sound from the PS3. I know that PS3s are temperamental in moving, but I hooked the audio up to my TV and the sound came out just fine. The AD Ext cable looks like it's secure and in place. When I hooked up a mic and headphones to the front, they worked fine as well. However it seems to be just the AUX 2 RCA inputs that dont work anymore. Any ideas about how to fix this issue? Is there a function I have to turn on now in the software to allow sound to pass through? Any information would be wonderful!? I'm going to try an optical cable in the near future, just need to borrow one from a friend =/

Problem Solved.
I had moved my cards around for better airflow. I moved the SB Audigy card from the bottom PCI slot to the top. Thinking this might be the problem, I moved the video card back to the top slot PCI-E and the sound card to the bottom PCI slot. Sound is now working again. Thanks for the thread views?:smileytongue:
Think that when I have to buy Win 7 for real if the problem would still persist if I moved the card again? Or is this a hardware limitation?

• Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Speaker issues not covered by FAQs

FSoundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Speaker issues not covered by FAQs? ?
Greetings..
Running into a bit of a issue here I can't seem to fix. I've gone through the troubleshooting guides and FAQs already and they aren't resolving the issue.
My normal setup is a couple of desktop speakers plugged to the rear of the card through the standard ports (non-digital) and a headset with mic plugged to the device in front that includes volume controls for both mic and speakers.
I've just did a complete reinstall of Windows XP (32 bit) including everything up through SP3 and a reinstall of the drivers and associated software applications for the card as well.
The problem I am having is that I can no longer make the rear speakers (desktop speakers) play when plugged in. The 2 headset speakers still play just fine that are plugged in the front however.
What should I do to resolve this issue so that I can have both the desktop speakers and headset speakers both playing? I'm fairly sure I'm just missing a setting somewhere but for the life of me I can't figure where to fix this.
Thank you,
Culann HS

JRe: Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum - Speaker issues not covered by FAQs0 I'm afriad that the CMSS3D option did not work? ? I still cannot get any speakers to play out of the rear of the soundcard.
As I said before, the goal is to try to get sound to play out of both the headset and the speakers attached to the rear of the soundcard simuntaneously.
The headset is plugged into one of those devices in the front that is in a 5 & /4" bay that has the individual knobs for adjusting volume for the headset and outbound levels for the microphone.
The speakers are plugged into the back of the soundcard and do not play any sound in any of the sockets, starting from the firewire port and counting 3 over.
Any suggestions? I? thought it might have something to do with the setting of the speakers from control panel - > Sounds and Audio Devices -> Advanced and picking the right choice there. No luck however. Same for the Creative Speaker Settings as well.
I'm at wits end and I'd be very thankful to whoever can resolve this for me. =)

• Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Remote prob

I have had this problem ever since I bought the Audigy 2 ZS Platinum.
My creative remote works fine but the<!--StartFragment --> External I/O Module accepts any sigal from any of my other remote controls. So if I want to change anything else in the room like the tvchannel or increas volume on the amplifier, the audigy thinks that i want to change someting like mute och start mediasource player.
At first i thought this was normal but now I cant find anyone else with the same problem.
Everything works fine except for the remote problem. Is this enough to get a new Audigy 2 ZS Platinum?

• PLEASE HELP: installing my Soundblaster Audigy LS-soundcard with the latest hardware(bundle)drive

Problem:
I have a Soundblaster Audigy LS Soundcard in one of my PCI slots (I already tried the other slot with the same result). I run Windows XP professional SP2.
When I install the hardwaredriver-bundle version: Sound Blaster Audigy LS .04.0055, I have no problem, but when I install version .0.4.077 (in this example: or I install version 055 or I install version 077), I have the following problem: (through Control Panel) in system properties/hardware/device manager, I find PCI Device listed in " other devices " with a black exclamationmark in a yellow circle, while the SB Audigy LS is listed in the group " sound, video and game controllers ". The soundcard works, which is great but why is the exclamationmark showing? I already tried a different PCI slot, IRQ assignement in BIOS, but is still shows. The strange thing is, if I install first version 055 and then version 077, the problem is gone. A new problem that occurs if I do so, is that the PC hangs when starting Windows (but I'm not sure if that has to do with the fact that I install version MediaSource 5 Player-Organizer 5.20.23 over version 5.0.38, just to keep the MediaSourceGo! Toolbar (because it's no longer part of the softwarebundle version 20.23 - which has been confirmed by the support of Creative), the same with version of CD Burner Plugin 5.0.44 over 5.0.3 because it's not really clear on the website, if you need the previous version or if it's a full "update"). Please URGENT (with detailed info on every explained problem/issue - so I can try to resolve it) help.
Thanx,
Oli4

maybe you should ask Eugene Gavrilov (?) to write his KX-Drivers for MSDOS too.. maybe he'll do so if you donate him an Audigy 4 *lol*

• Audigy 2 ZS Platinum on Justin.tv with 8GB of Memory

Has anyone ever tried using Audigy 2 ZS Platinum on Justin.tv with 8GB of Memory? I've gotten the video stream to work fine after some testing. However, I keep getting the stuttering/poping for the audio stream that I can't get rid of. Using what-you-hear as input and even tried looping SPDIF out into SPDIF in and still had same problem... Thoughts?

exact same problem with audigy 2 zx platinum pro.
when i try to change the rec (RED) setting under the sound mixer to mic/line ...it will automatically change it back to MIDI, i.e., when i reopen the sound mixer the red/rec slider is always back to MIDI.
I can hear myself on the mic..windows (the test hardware option under control panel-sound devices) says mic works fine but no sound on counterstrike-source or windows sound recorder.....this is killin me

• Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS Platinum and Acid Pr

Hello. I am using an Emachines with 3.3GHz Celeron and .5G RAM and Windows XP SP2. I am trying to record with Acid Pro 6 at 24bit and 44.khz (seems to work with the default audio device - Microsoft Sound Mapper or something like that) but I do not get the I/O options that I have with?the Audigy. I went to Options - Preferences then clicked on the Audio device tab and I tried to switch the audio device?to Soundblaster Audigy 2 ZS and I get a message saying that this device does not support that bitrate or sample rate. The only time it will let me switch to Soundblaster Audigy is if I first change to 24bit and 96khz. The problem with this rate is that?it consumes hard dri've space rapidly. Can the Audigy 2 ZS support a 24/44. rate? I am still trying all kinds of troubleshooting. I'm also researching on the Acid Pro forum for info. Any feedback will be appreciated. Thank you. Jeremiah

Edit:? I went to Options and Preferences in Acid Pro 6 to try changing the audio device type. Could I get a little reassurance that Audigy 2Z Platinum (Not the Movie Editor) supports 24/44. or 24/48?jmw

• Will the external hub of an audigy 2 platinum pro ZS work with an X-fi Xtreme Mus

Topic title says it all.
I recently bought a new pc with a Soundblaster X-fi Xtreme Music, I love the new features of the card however I don't really want to shell out on getting a usb hub.
With my old pc I had a Soundblaster Audigy 2 Platinum Pro ZS (phew that name is long) and it came with a very usefull external hub with midi and audio inputs, the works. I was wondering if it is possible to hook these two up?
Thanks in advance

No, they aren't compatible. The X-Fi card doesn't have any AD_Link connector to link up with the external I/O console you have.

• Soundblaster Audigy Platinum EX + Xbox 360 = Surrou

Hi everyone, this is my first post on the forum, so don't shoot me if i ask something obvious. Also I am sorry for my bad English, please keep in mind that I'm not a nati've speaker.
So here comes my question:
This is the setup I am thinking about:
-Xbox 360 (playing a game with Dolby Digital 5. surround encoding.)
--Connection: digital optical audio cable (Toslink)
-Connected to: The optical input on the external module of my Soundblaster Audigy Platinum EX
<img height="37[/img] src="http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/7660/dri'vefrontor.jpg" width="500" alt="">
-This card is installed on a PC with an Athlon XP 3000+, 52mb ram, 60Gb harddisk,... A recent pc in other words, running Windows XP Media Center Edition.
- speakerset, connected to the sound card using the analog connectors:
<img border="0" height="73" src="http://img237.imageshack.us/img237/804/bracketpe9.jpg" width="505" alt="">
Will I be able to hear surround sound from the xbox game trough my analog speakers this way (When the PC is turned on offcourse.), or will i get (upmixed) stereo audio, or even worse: no sound at all?
I hope someone can answer this question,
Greets,
FORZA M

That's correct in your case (connecting to the expansion bay) the soundcard will decode the DolbyDigital and send it to the analog speakers.
For me it is veird that you want to us a whole PC to do that - energy consumption, heat, space occupied (you will need a separate monitor for PC and a big-screen TV for XBox 360).
Another solution would be an external decoder - like a digital receiver or Creative's DDTS-00: http://www.creative.com/products/pro...6&product=9468

• SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Platinum Softw

Hey,
I just reinstalled my OS (WinXP SP2) and need to install the drivers & software for my SoundBlaster Audigy 2 Platinum card. I no longer have the cd and the drivers & software on Creatives' site is only upgrades... Anyone have an idea how I can go about installing the drivers and software without the CD?
Thx!

A couple of things.
There are websites out there with full drivers for hardware out there. Usually, they take the installer off of the manufacturer's website (with consent) and post it on theirs. If the manufacturer decides to discontinue download services for their drivers, these websites will still have the drivers on there. Do a Google search and find out. MAKE SURE, however, that you download Creative-signed drivers (otherwise, they're bootleg).
Or, you can go to a local hardware store (where you got the sound card) and ask them to tear open a box for you and install the software. If the store is like a Best Buy or Circuit City, they may have a copy of the driver sitting behind the desk at their customer support/computer service area. They will install it for you, but they may charge.
One final thing, check the Creative website again. They may actually have the driver on there, I tend not to look hard enough the first time, so I always double-check.
