Soundblaster USB 2.0/Model SB0

Curious if anybody knows of a driver I could use to get the SB0270 (Soundblaster MP3+ USB/External Audio Device) functioning on my Mac Mini (Mac OS 3.8). The MAC recognizes it as a USB Audio Device and 'sort of' works. However, certain applications (like Garageband) do not function properly and when I reboot the Mac Mini, I have to reconfigure the sound again. If there is not a 3rd party driver out there, I think I'll just return it for something that is Mac friendly. Thanks for your help.

Mac Mini's are too new so you probably won't get much help right now. I'd try some old time Mac MIDI community websites like www.computersandmusic.com as well as some of the links they provide on their site.

Audio / Sound Card not working after Soundblaster.USB.Audio.Support.pkg

Ok, first - confess - it was stupid. I installed the Soundblaster.USB.Audio.Support.pkg package, which i downloaded from the internet, to make the harman Kardon Soundsticks (USB-Version) working, as nothing happened when plugging them in.
First, it ruined the mouse working after reboot and also disabled the internal sound card, not even as device available anymore. I fixed the mouse problem by installing IOUSBFamily-281.4.0-log(PPC).dmg
How can I make the sound card be available and working again ? I also updated to 10.4.11. Did not help ! Can you ? Thanks !

Welcome to the Apple discussions.
First, look in system preferences, accounts, and for your login account look at login items to see if there is a Soundblaster USB module that is loaded when you reboot your system. Delete it if there is one.
If you updated to 10.4.11 by software update, download the combo update from http://www.apple.com/downloads/macosx/apple/macosx_updates/macosx10411comboupdat eppc.html . The combo update is a complete update for all updates to 10.4, and installing the combo sometimes fixes odd things.

I can't find any information about the microphone input on the Creative Soundblaster USB Connect.My question is wether this input is stereo or mono.

Sorry if this question is nai've, as I am new to this PC stuff
I got an old Dell Dimension XPS (2003; 3GHz) (no driver CD)
I hear no sound after connecting to a pair of cheap Antec Lansing speaker with cable
My XP sees the driver as Creative Audigy Audio Processor (WDM)
My Driver software see it with Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Audio Driver
I opened the box, and see it as a Sound Blaster Audigy 2 Model SB 0240
Where do I get the SB driver in order to install correctly?
I tried to download the driver Audigy 2 Value at the website:

?Your card is not "udigy 2 Value"? but "Audigy 2 Platinum" series card. So if you try install drivers go from CT support then select Audigy 2 Platinum there. IIRC, there are/were some problems to install original drivers for OEM cards ... resolution was/is to go to the vendors (dell in this case) support pages and install?drivers from there if you find ones. You may also try to install?HP OEM driver or patched Audigy installation. You can find both by searching here. jutapa?

Can't use my USB modem "HUAWEI model E156G" on my MACBook Pro

I'm new to MAC (I used to be a windows user) and I'm a little bit frustrated for not being able to use my USB modem "Huawie E156G" for connecting my new MacBook Pro!
I followed these steps:
Got the USB modem drivers found on Huawei site that should support my USB modem model. there were 2 drivers, one for "Intel" and another one for "PowerPC" platforms
First, I installed the "Intel" version succesfully. According to the steps, I tried to run the installed driver, but I got the following message:
"you cant open the app HuaweiDataCardApp because PowerPC app are no longer supported".
I repeated the installation procedure using the "PowerPC" version that finished succesfully (without removing the previous installed driver because dont know how to do that). I got the same message when running the driver application:
"you cant open the app HuaweiDataCardApp because PowerPC app are no longer supported".
It would be much appreciated if anyone can help me
Note: my MAC OS is MAC OS X Lion 10.7.2 (11C74), Processor Intel Core I5

Rescue and Recovery 4.3 on Win7 doesn't see a backup on external USB hard drive - Model W510

I've run the Rescue and Recovery utility within Windows 7 on two different external USB hard drives thinking that maybe it was a usb drive issue. When I open the R And R utility in expert mode I can see that both backups exist on their respective drives. I planned on updating my hard drive so I made a full hd backup and the R&R startup disc to boot the laptop from. The bios recognizes either external hard drive at boot with no problems. It shows the names and "+" sign next to drives. So I booted the drive at startup off the DVD drive with the R&R startup disc after I was sure that the bios recognized either external drives. Then when I choose a "Full" restore is of course asks me if I want to use hd, cd/dvd, or external usb drive which I choose the later. It then should show me the backup that I created earlier just as it did when I ran the utility from the Win7 environment so I can choose it to restore from. But I get a blank box showing no backups when I run the 4.3 R&R Startup disc. Again if I boot to Win7 and go into the R&R utility I can see the backup on the exact same USB external drive. Then boot off the CD startup recovery disc and it shows NO BACKUP! Help please! I want to shelf my old hard drive "as is" and create the Restore onto the new hard drive but the utility isn't working for me.

Hmmm,
Seems like that _should_ work. Here's a way you might be able to finesse it: go to the advanced R&R menu in Win 7 and create rescue media on your USB drive. It's essentially the same process as creating the CD - it makes the USB drive bootable and puts a copy of R&R there.
There _should_ be an option to "preserve existing data" but be prepared to lose your existing backup and make it again.
Then just boot the external USB drive and see if R&R recognizes a backup image on the same drive from which you booted.
That's the way I usually migrate to new drives. Maybe it will get around your mysterious problem.

No iPod touches came with a wall charger. You would have had to purchase it separately. As I saidm one with at least 500 ma will work. 1000 ma (1 amp) sime to be standare for phones and iPods.

installed a Sound Blaster Li've 5. Digital?SB0220 card, now computer will not boot up, what makes this happen? before install there was a Sound Blaster CT4780 installed with no problems. any help on this matter?

So frustrating, I mean really come on it's no offense personally intended toward you individually. On a person level I'd say you're doing the job you're paid to do and doing it well.
This is a reflection of HP esoteric nature. On countless forums I've found complaints about similar issues relating to HP.

this is probably 1 of the hardest bios to upgrade i find since HP bought it from asus to sell & put there crappy a$$ bios version on it so we can't overclock it like we want......so we dont break it............dam HP.

Most importantly i'm interested in what this little silver box has for a signal-to-noise ratio .. secondly, I installed it on my laptop and WinXP detected it and auto-installed it as a "USB Audio Device" and it works great.. thing is, i'd like to take advantage of the EAX functions and other things.. what solitary program do I need from the Creative Support file section that will allow me to adjust the bass, treble, eax, etc. ? Just get a /8 to RCA cable for the card and two Mono /4 jacks to RCA adapters for the speakers?If you use the mono jacks the negati've signal will be grounded and shunted with the negati've signal and so it works. Wenn You said the signal was crystal clear ... you actually connected the left to the positi've input and right to the negati've input, unless You used mono jacks and in that case unbalancing was performed, but the right signal was shorted... but the card can handle this short.

No video out, no power to USB sockets - 2006 model.

As the title suggests. I try to turn on the machine and get no chime. The light comes on but no video out (tried various cables and monitors) and there's no power to the USB sockets so I can't use any keyboard tricks to try to help things ( tried various keyboards and mice in there, just in case...)
I'm guessing it's the dreaded logic board failure? Only just picked it up second hand so it'll be going back, I think...

Update: Just been having anothertry. I've managed to get power to my old Apple Mouse via USB but still no power to my old Apple keyboard. Still no joy on the video out, though.
Also, there's no activity if I try to put a disc in the drive. I keep forgetting to add that.
I'm guessing it's time to call it a day on this one, what does anyone else think?

Greetings. I just installed a fresh new copy of Windows XP Professional-- and decided it was a good idea to upgrade from my Li've! value from 999 to a better sound card...At least so?I hoped. I purchased this card from Wal-Mart the other night, and if it's anything like the other sound cards purchased at mega-retailers, I am going to be in for a huge headache, aren't I?Anyway, to the point:? When I run creative diagnostics, both the left, and the right channel, come out of the left and right, and right and left channel, respecti'vely... I can take one ear off left, and hear "left channel" in my right channel, and vice versa. Problem #2: I am unable to adjust my bass or my treble on the sound card. I checked the FAQ, but I didn't see anything terribly relevant, unless of course I am just blind. I look forward to any help I can get from you great peoples. Thank you for reading my message. What about the inability to adjust bass and treble? I google'd a bunch of different phrases about Audigy SE cards, and it seems they don't have that functionality. Am I missing something here?I installed the EAX control panel and that didn't help. Edit: Okay, so the left and right channel part is my problem-- but I have a headset by Sennheiser that has such a small headphone jack, it has to be halfway plugged into the sound card, in order for me to get full audio.
