SoundCard not working SB0

I am having the same problems with mine ( SB0220 ) Soundblaster Li've Dolby Digital 5..
I have tried using Li'veDrvUni-Pack(ENG) and Li'veDrvPack none of them detect the
soundcard. I have no cd to use with it, before this I used an intergrated soundcard on
my motherboard. When I put in the soundcard ( SB ) I disabled the motherboard one. After
I checked device manager I noticed it added something that said "Creative SBLIVE!
Gameport" and in other devices it added "Multimedia Audio
Controller" it is almost like it is detecting it but not as an audio device, or maybe
not the device the driver install is looking for . Then I
checked your webpage saw to change the windows setting to "PIO only" I did that took out
the card and unistalled the devices it was said to be, then reinstalled with the same
problem. I am unsure how to do the BIOS check and make sure pci 2. is acti've, if you
can tell me how to check the bios problems, then I will and check back in, but this is
less than 5 months old computer and I have not had any problems with other devices ( ie
: the new ehternet card I installed )

it's not worth the wait, screw this card imma just return it...thanks for nothing creative, I was hoping if I spent money on a big name card I could avoid problems such as this. I really don't care how to fix it anyway now I'll just settle with my other card, it might not sound good, but at least it makes sound. ( btw setup files should do all the configuring needed, and not have to change these things manually, just a lil note )

So my soundcard is completely not working. I can't hear anything, whether through the speakers or headphones. Everything else seems to be fine. My laptop is a Ideapad S210 Touch. Any help would be hugely appreciated.

    hi therusselldavis,
    Welcome to Lenovo Community Forums!
Can you try opening Device Manager and Under Sound and gaming controller Check your audio Device
Might be a Realtek or Conexant.
Right click on it and Select Uninstall, Make sure to place a check on Delete Driver software for This Device Then Restart your Computer and check for Audio functionality
    Let me know your findings
    Cheers!

  • Usb external soundcard not working on imac osx10.6.8

Hi ,I'm trying to record music and get a soundcard- Native Instruments Komplete Audio 6 working but message says "no native instruments usb device connected". I've tried different usb ports to no avail. The manual says it will only work with usb 2 and according to my IMac specs it says usb 2, but no signal is coming through. The recording software is Cubase Le 5. Any help would be appreciated.

i don't know the new versions of cubase but...
switch everything off, no... wait wait wait, i haven't finished yet...
when everything is off, plug up AUDIO 6, power up and then go to the apple icon in the top left of the finder window.
    click about this mac
    and then click more info
then click on system report (you might not see this bit and the next page opens anyway)
then click on the hardware column please hit USB
can you see the AUDIO 6 listed on the right?

  • Right Side of my Audigy SoundCard not working! Any suggestio

    Hi all,
I've owned my Audigy 2Zs soundcard for a little over a year now and everything has been working fine until today. Without any reason that I can think of, all of my audio information is coming out of my left speaker only. I checked all of the obvious settings and tried headphones to make sure that it wasn't something simple that I overlooked. However, with the headphones plugged directly into the back of my card... I only get the left side coming through. As anyone else had this problem or know of a solution? Any help would be much appreciated.
    Thanks!

I even tried on a fresh install and aplay -l shows the exact same output of my first post here...

  • [XP64] Microphone does not work in WinXP 64

Hi,In Windows XP 64bit my microphone does not work, tried it in Ventrilo 2., Skype and even in the Windows Recorder. The computer don't detect any sound. Offcourse?I have selected the microphone in the recordering section in the Windows volume panel and the volume at maxium. Also in the volume panel under playback the microphone is not mute, set to max volume. I have also installed WinXP 32bits and here it works OK with exactly the same settings. Thats why I think it is because of my Soundcard driver, I have installed the latest driver from this site. I have a SoundBlaster X-Fi Fatality. Is there anyone with a X-Fi soundcard with the same problem or anyone where the microphone works in WinXP 64bit's Or is it a known problem? Please help me

Hi Theicewarrior,?Creative support has been aware of this issue for quite some time (6+ months, maybe even a year). The 4GB+?RAM driver/addressing issues are not a priority or they would have been addressed quite some time ago.
Presumably this is due to functional Vista drivers for the masses being a higher priority than the relati'vely few of us with 4GB+ RAM and an X-Fi.
While the X-Fi?is a great card, my only wish was that the vendor was forthright about this product not functioning with certain configurations. It is my feeling that?making an effort to help?customers choose?products that will work with their configurations would result in satisfied and repeat customers?and a better bottom line?as opposed to?eeking a few extra dollars out of a slightly larger customer base and?who are then left unsatisfied with a product and unwilling to buy a company's products in the future.Message Edited by Foddan on 07-9-20070:45 AM

  • Remote not working with WinXP 64

I have a X-FI Platinum card with the front module and remote. Under WinXP Pro everything worked fine. I have since upgraded to WinXP 64 bit Pro and the remote does not work.
I have installed the latest driver for WinXP 64 (At least last weeks driver) which went OK. Soundcard seems to work OK. I have a 5. speaker setup and I get sound from all speakers. Before there was the createi've audio console that was in the system tray, but that doesn't seem to be there with WinXP 64.
Is there another download that I need to do for the Remote to function ? Also I no longer have any sound test options in the audio console is there another download for that as well ??System Specs:ASUS P5N32 SLI Deluxe MOBOIntel P4 660 processor2 GB RAMBFG 7800 GT video cardX-FI Platinum sound cardWinXP Pro 64 bit? Thanks,?wstreaker

I am not sure whether the remote software gets installed with the 64 bit drivers or not. I know some people have turned to alternate software to control the remote on WinXP 64 bit edition successfully. I am sure you can find out what I mean by searching these forums, I am not allowed to say any more than that. Hope that helps?

  • Microphone does not work after restarting computer

I just received the Creative Xmod soundcard yesterday after using an Icemat siberia usb headset sound card for a couple months. The sound is a lot better with the creative soundcard however, if I restart my computer and go back into ventrilo, my microphone does not work. It doesnt make any sound when I talk into it (almost as if it muted itself) but it hasnt. I check my sound settings and everything is the way it should be.....but the mic isnt producing any sound. It is not my headphones that is causing the problem because I have never had this problem with my old icemat soundcard. I am currently using :
    Sennheiser PC350 headset
    Windows XP Home Edition
    The newest version of Ventrilo

That is how I have ventrilo setup. A friend of mine said I should Mux set to Record Control, but it only gives me the option for Wave In =/

  • Microphone not working anymore, after 3/4 year of no probl

I got an xfi elite pro and vista 32bit and after an hard time to get the microphone to work 3/4 year ago, i used it with barely any problem.
However 2 days ago, i wanted to join a meeting on teamspeak for a certain game and my microphone didnt work.
    Things i did:
Use other microphones first, to see if the microphone was stuck. It wasnt, other microphones had same problem and the sennheiser does work with no problem on my xp pc.
    I checked all volume input/output?options:
    -windows
    -creative audio console
    -tried the different modes etc.
Nothing muted, nothing on low volume, changed some, changed them back, but....
Nothing worked, only a lot of noise coming from the mic.
    Updated driver, didnt work.
Removed everything, removed card, plugged it back in, install new software and drivers, no go, microphone still not working.
I dont know what to do anymore, i spent 2 full evenings working on it and I am pretty good with computers and yet cant solve it.
Anyone has a solution for this, because on this moment after spending 2 full evenings, i am basically posting here with my last hope and otherwise tomorrow I will buy a non-creative card and use that for my vista pc.
I need the mic to communicate with some people, that li've across the ocean, so cant miss it too long.
I already searched on forum here, but to be honest, there is ZERO good information how to fix it. I was totally supprised by how many posts there were about the topic, but none with a fix
I didnt expect that from creative to be honest, but well, maybe one of them can finally come up with a good solution and otherwise its bye bye creative for me.

    Yikes none having any clue
Will try to reinstall my pc in next 2 weeks then, if i can make some time free to make the correct backups and everything, but if that doesnt fix it, then i guess i got no other choise, then to get another branch card.
Already had to use someone s pc to join some TS meeting with some friends across the ocean, not funny.
Doesnt matter what I, i keep getting a very heavy rumbling noise from the mic, if i use what you hear as input, i have to turn it off FAST otherwise the sound volume goes crazy.
I tried with onboard completely off, but also with onboard completely on, but then I still get the rumbling noise ,even when the mic is in the onboard jack of the onboard soundcard.
Somehow it seems the jacks are all mixed up or the volume totally screwed by some unknown setting.
TRied tons of combinations of having software installed or not or using the different drivers.
So far, still no clue if its vista or the creative card/driver.

  • Sound not working on 3000 n200 windows 7 ultimate 64 bit

    Hi
MY Sound is not working on 3000 n200, I have  windows 7 ultimate 64 bit installed newly, and have all drivers downloaded.
Strange thing is the sound works for windows and for soundcard test applications, yet wont work for media player, vlc, or anything on the internet like youtube or music sites.
Getting realy annoying at this stage as Ive tried many things, all to no avail.
It doesnt specify what soundcard, it just said: " High definition audio"
Any help Please.  Maybe its another driver I need for windows 7 compatibility.
Any additional details you require, I will suply ASAP
    Thanks
    Darran

I encountered a similar issue on my 3000 Y410 laptop that I just upgraded to Windows 7 64-bit.  I ended up downloading the drivers from the RealTek site directly.  Go to the RealTek downloads page (RealTek Downloads) and click on the "High Definition Audio Codecs (Software)" link.  You'll get to (after a page with a checkbox for an agreement) page for "Software: Drivers and Utilities" --- download the "Vista, Windows7 Driver(32/64 bits) Driver only (Executable file)" and run that, then try your sound again (may require a reboot).
    Hope this helps...

  • X-Fi Audio - Subwoofer NOT working in Vista 32-bit Ultimate!

<X-Fi Audio - Subwoofer NOT working in Vista 32-bit Ultimate!I I have WIndows Vista 32-bit Ultimate and Sound Blaster X-Fi Audio installed and with the factory drivers (I tried another set earlier and they did not work, so I reinstalled the original drivers which worked, at least partially). Until now I only listened to music using my headphones, but I tried today to plug-in my 5. Genius system (50W RMS) and everything works fine EXCEPT the subwoofer does not produce any sound at all!! The ONLY way to make it work is go to Control Panel -> Sound -> Speakers -> press Configure and then click the Test button in the dialog that appears (or click the subwoofer icon to make it produce a very nice bass sound - which I absolutely love, but it's the only way to make my subwoofer work!!!). Please guys, help me find out what the problem is. All help is much appreciated. Thank you!

Thank you my friend,I have done as you have mentioned (made sure the DLL did not stay there when I rebooted before I installed your version), and now I have the version which you have built. However, I am still unable to hear the subwoofer I am so sad... even my default on-board card supports the 5. just great, and I love the sound of that, but I was hoping for something better from Creative - instead, all I got was a soundcard I can only use with my headphones at the moment because of a faulty driver...
    Did you enable Bass Redirection?
Run Console Launcher, click on Speakers and Headphone -> choose 5. Speakers.
Then click on Bass (Bass Management) and enable Bass Redirection.
