Soundcloud doesn't work since I installed Win8
When I was still on Windows 7 64bit, soundcloud worked perfectly.
Ever since I installed Windows 8, the new soundcloud version hasn't been working properly.
Tracks start loading but they don't want to play.
I have tried removing adblock and reinstalling flashplayer and it still doesn't play.
The classic version seems to be working fine though ( All embedded soundcloud links use the new version, so using it doesn't really help )
Ok, try this " please add soundcloud.com to the exceptions list in the plugin settings."

Open up the Volume settings on the Taskbar and make sure either Flash or Firefox isn't muted.

The carrier was automatically selected as Free and is up to date.
There seemed to be no problem that the SIM was being used in an iPhone 4 and my friends in exactly the same situation (e.g. arriving in France and moving over to the Free network with iPhone 4's) have had zero problems with their 3G network; it just seems to be me.
The Free Mobile Network is included on this list which I guess means that they are Apple-approved? iPhone: Wireless carrier support and features
How do I find out whether or not I would need to manually configure an APN? I'm not even sure I know what that is. -

No reason it should have stopped working. Maybe a problem waiting to happen and an upgrade pushed it over the edge. Provide some specs on your Mac, but I would really advise making an appointment at the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store.

Mac laptop (OS X) trackpad functions don't work since I installed new firefox (but works on Safari)
My trackpad functions such as using 2 fingers to enlarge or decrease size of page do not work since i installed the upgraded firefox on my Mac laptop (OS X - Ver 10.5.8). Installed new version on May 5, 2011. Please help!
You don't have to disable any addons or extentions!!!You guys are not going to believe this I figured out the problem it's really dumb...ok here goes the attachment uploader loads seperate so I got to thinking it's a popup so I went to options content and under block pop ups there is an option exceptions click on that and in the box type firefox.com and hit allow pow its fixed!!!!! :-)

That your printer.. type model connection all unknown now does not work..

IChat doesn't work since 10.4.7 installed
Installed 10.4.7 and now iChat doesn't work at all. It worked fine prior to the upgrade, all the required ports were open and now I just get the -8 error as per everybody else.
Suggests to me that Apple have changed something fundamental somewhere.
Help!

HP Photosmart309a, scanner doesn't work since Lion installation
Since I installed Lion, my Mac Book Pro doesn't recognize my scanner. The printer works fine. Does anyone know how to fix this?
I am not familiar with that particular scanner, but scanning in Lion is now performed through Preview:

Cd drive doesn't work since loading itunes
Since installing itunes my computer's cd doesn't work. How can I fix this problem?
Last month my girlfriend was trying to import songs from a cd into her iTunes (v4.7) on her laptop. Her cd-rom drive quit responding. The computer recognizes that the cd drive is there, but it won't recognize any disks. If you put a disk in, the drive doesn't even spin the cd. This happens when itunes is on and off. When I try to access the device via DOS, I get the message, "the device is not ready".
I figured that it was probably her laptop cd-rom crapping out. So, since she could no longer use her computer to put her songs onto her ipod, I was letting her use mine. I had an even older version of itunes V4.1 or 4.2. Now, I hadn't tried to import songs into iTunes in a long time. Lo and behold, I try to import a cd (Death Cab for Cutie:Something About Airplanes) and the cd stops responding. It's the exact same thing that happened to my girlfriends laptop. I tried to update to v5 but that didn't help. When I do the cd diagnostic, the offending drive says "Drive is empty".
On my computer, I have removed upper and lower filters in the registry...no change. I have never had easy cd creater, but we both have ahead Nero Burning Rom software. I can't boot from the drive. I have uninstalled the drive and let windows re-detect it...no change. Windows detects the drive, it just won't read anything...no audio cds, no data cds...
We are now down 2 cd drives and we only have one left.

Shockwave doesn't work since I upgraded to firefox 6.0 Mac
I am on Mac OSX 10.5.8 and Firefox upgraded automatically to 6.0. Since then, Adobe Shockwave doesn't work anymore. The error message is: Shockwave is not installed. However, Shockwave works fine with Google Chrome.
So I guess it's not an Adobe issue but a Firefox issue linked to the version. Is Firefox 6.0 compatible with Mac OSX 10.5.8 ? Can I downgrade to the previous version of Firefox when it was working fine with Shockwave? Thank you.ok, there are some which are known to cause slow down, but i don't think those are among them. however please make sure that firefox.exe & plugin-container.exe have access to the internet in the firewall settings and don't get sandboxed in any way.

you could also uninstall your flash plugin and [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/flash-113-crashes#w_solution-2-downgrade-to-flash-10-3 downgrade to flash 10.3] (which is still maintained by adobe), because the current version has performance issues in some situations... -
My mail on my mac hasn't worked since I installed maverick and yosemite neither
I am not ever so 'techy' but Ive been trying and trying to get my mail to work ever since I installed mavericks. It still doesn't work on yosemite! I tried a few things before but just gave up!!

I have similar issues with the whole MS Office solution since I "upgraded' towards Yosemite:
when I use Cmd+W or the "close" menu option to close a Word file, Word crashes down (I always send a message to Microsoft but I guess this is more related to Yosemite or to its installation; consequence is it become very difficult to close a file, as it re-opens it the next time :-(
same thing for Excel and PowerPoint
When I try to save in PDF format a Word file containing several sections, it produces one PDF file per section - wasn't before Yosemite
Excel crashes down much more often than before because of lack of memory
Well, if someone has a suggestion, I would be grateful, 'cause it is becoming actually boring - and counter-productive ! -
I upgraded ti Lion 10.7.2 for icloud but it's causing other problems with my mac. My Safari doesn't work properly anymore. Wishing I didn't upgrade, anyone know how to fix this or do i just have to uninstall? Thanks,
Wipe the drive clean and install Snow Leopard from your install disk.
Might be less work fixing Safari. Try Resetting Safari. -
[SOLVED] pm-suspend doesn't work since Linux 3.7.6-1
Hi,
I have 8 GB RAM and no swap partition and use thus pm-suspend, but since Linux 3.7.6-1-ARCH, it doesn't work properly anymore.
Suspending works fine, but if I want to resume, my external monitor stays black (my laptop monitor is always deactivated by me, when I am working with an external monitor).
Any ideas where this comes from?

2. Try and figure out if your machine is actually locked up, or if the backlight is just off. You could ssh in, or try tying commands blindly into a terminal (like reboot or something with a known result)
3. Try Ctrl-Alt-Fx to switch away from your X session VT and then back again. This is what I have to do right now, as I also get a black screen on resume from suspend.
4. Try 'systemctl suspend' instead of pm-suspend.
