SoundFont 2.4 and new version of Vie

The main article of the April 2005 edition of Electronic Musician is entitled "Experimenting With SoundFonts" and they mention a new version of SoundFont (2.4) and of Vienna.
Does anyone know what hardware will support SF 2.4. What about new features for SF 2.4 and Vienna?

I'm assuming that the X-Fi is SF2.4 compatible. The version of Vienna ship[ped with it will create and edit SF2.4 'fonts

There are two things we use the name "Slideshow" for in Aperture: a Slideshow Album, used for making Slideshows, and the Slideshow that is made. (Imho, it is a design mistake to not call the containers used to create Slideshows, Books, etc., "Albums".)
The Slideshow will use the Album Pick from any Stack. A good way to use Aperture is to promote the Image you want to regularly use (such as, for example, a Version with adjustments) to the top of the Stack. This makes it the Stack Pick, and will be the default Album Pick. If you haven't done that, you can still change the Album Pick for any Stack in a Slideshow Album. Expand your Stack(s), select the Image in each Stack that you want to be the Album Pick (and thus shown in the Slideshow), and "Stacks➞Set Album Pick". (Note the keyboard shortcut; there is also a Toolbar icon for this.) The change is immediate. The Slideshow will always show the Album Pick (or, if there is not one, the Stack Pick) for every Stack in your Slideshow Album.

Try going to the Purchased tab in the App Store app on your iPod and you should be able to redownload an older compatible version of the app from there - you won't be able to do it from your computer's iTunes, you can only download the current version of an app on there, it is only directly on a device that you can potentially redownload an older compatible version.

Cisco ISE and New Version of AntiVirus...not DAT

So I have ISE ready to go for our VPN users. Testing has been great and it looks like we are ready to roll out.
Then comes along a new version of our corporate AntiVirus software. We have had Kaspersky EndPoint Security v8 since last August. Now Kaspersky has released Endpoint Security v10. It took about 3 months for the Compliance Module in ISE to allow NAC Agent to recognise KESv10. But now when we connect I get an error from NAC stating bascially that the version of KES installed doesn't have any posture/rules setup and it can't do anything. (see attached for exact wording)
I remember when we first set the ISE up there was a screen that broke down the different AV makers, and the various versions that ISE/NAC would support. I have no idea where that is now.
How to I update my policies/remediation/rules to reflect either including KES10, or just change them to allow version 8+, or even ANY version?
I am sure this is a simple fix, but I just can't find it. I have looked through a lot of documentation, and I even looked through a Global Lab PDF on setting up ISE posturing and can't find it there.

Well I am now seeing that, yes the NAC agent recognizes Kaspersky Endpoint Security v10, but I was able to see in the ISE settings that REMEDIATION ACTION is NOT supported. WHY would this be? And how/when will this be fixed....this completely invalidiate a MAIN puprose for implementing ISE to keep our A/V definitiions updated.
Why would you implement support for antivirus if you don't support the remediation of it?!?!?!??

Can i use old and new version of iPhoto on one computer with 2 users

my partner wants to use the new version with his library and i want to stick with the old iPhoto 6 for now. i haven't opened iPhoto 8 on my side yet and when i look for the old version of iPhoto 6 i don't see it... i thought it was supposed to remain available even with the upgrade.
is iPhoto 6 still available once iPhoto '08 is installed?
i assume someone knows the answer or has seen something somewhere that addresses this question.

The danger is that iPhoto won't automatically know which library to open, and if you open the v6 library with the v7 app you will probably make that library unreadable by v6.
You're best bet is to hold the Option key each time you launch iPhoto and choose the correct library. This suggestion comes from Old Toad in this thread: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=5102027

Will running older and newer versions of iPods on the same PC cause prblems

My daughter has a 60g video iPod which works ok with V6 iTunes. I have just purchased a 30g which requires V7 iTunes to work. She has seen the forums and is worried that if I upgrade it will cause probs - possibly even losing her music. Is she correct to be worried?
We have seperate admin accounts on the pc. Is it possible to run V6 for her and V7 for me? If not should I back-up her music and libraries - how do I do this?

You only have one version of iTunes installed. If the iTunes upgrade goes alright, mine did, everything in old version will transfer and be available in new version.
Backup method depends on what you have available. You can use CDs, DVDs, or another hard drive. Make sure you copy the itunes.itl file for each account. This is the actual 'library' file that contains playlists, playcounts, subscriptions, etc.

You should be able to reinstall the new version.....
Out of curiosity, how did you install the old version over the new? I would have thought that was impossible.

Check your system for possible Malware. But you have to do it in WIndows Safe Mode.
(Do not use your own Anti-virus to SCAN)
Start your computer in "Safe mode with networking", go to this link download a free version of Malwarebyte.

Move appset to new server and new version

I am currently on 5.1, SQL 2005 and Windows 2003, where we have some performance issues. To see the effekt of an upgrade I would like to move my current appset to a new server with BPC 7.5 SQL 2008 and Windows 2008.
How should I do this?
Can I make a clean installaion of BPC 7.5 on SQL 2008 and then restore the 5.1 version appset into 7.5.
What is the recommended way to do this.

There is nothing to worry.
You need to take the backup from the 5.1 system and restore it in 7.5 MS. After the restoration, please make sure that all the components are working fine or not. You might have to look at the security once again and the reports and the input schedules. There might be small small alterations / modifications required. However, there wont be any big development. There is only one area which needs little more concentration - SSIS packages. You might have to re-build the SSIS packages in SQL 2008. Another thing is that if you have any macros or VB in your templates, you might have to revisit them.
As a whole, I dont see much challenge in this whole process.

IChat and new version of AIM "Triton" problems...

I just got my iMac with built-in iSight. I was able to video chat with a friend who was on AIM, but using a PC....UNTIL, she had to upgrade her AIM to the beta version of "Triton" so that her camera would work with other PC's. Since she did that I can no longer video chat with her. I tried to download the latest AIM for Mac, but it doesn't seem to support any video chat.
Has anyone else come across this problem? I tested my camera with the AIM addresses mentioned in one of the other articles and it worked so I'm thinking it is a new AIM problem.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. You can emial me directly or post here, but I'm not sure I'll be able to find my way back.......

You might want to try connecting to another computer with an older version of iTunes. If it connects, reformat it straight away just in case before adding your songs back in. Otherwise, you might want to seek for help at the official iTunes stores in your country. Chances are that the iPod might be corrupted, though iTunes being the problem can't be ruled out either.
