Soundproblems iOS 5.1, iPhone 4 with AV receiver

I've recently updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1
I am using the iPhone with my Pioneer VSX-920 (connected via USB) to play music which has worked perfectly on iOS 5.0 and iOS5.0.1 but with the new update there is an annoying problem.
If I play the music, it sounds like playing an old, scratchy vinyl. Each three or four seconds there is a little cracking noise in backround.
Iv'e already changed the dock connector cable and restarted the phone but without any improvement. And i've also tried my old iPod Video - everything works well.
Maybe someone knows a solution or has the same problem?
I've been having this issue as well. It's not your iPhone because I have an iPhone 4S and it doesn't necessarily sound scratchy or garbled... But instead, when. I plug it in via USB into my Sony DSX-S310BTX it automatically starts playing the first album, and only moves through album by album. Even if I go into Songs >> Shuffle All and plug it in whilst playing. It will still do this.
My iPhone used to just pick up playing right when I plugged it into the stereo in IOS 5.01, but then I updated and now it does the above. Same with my wife's 5.1 iPhone, and my best friends iPhone 5.1
Any suggestions? To fix both would be great since my buddies is doing the same as OP

THIS HAS EVERY APPEARANCE OF A SOFTWARE GLITCH BY APPLE ... So first suggestion is NOT to begin reinstalling various software but to await some answer & fix from Apple. Too many have same problem on various systems, in my view (I am not an Apple rep but have certainly faced many glitches over the years).
PS - LOTS of Apple software problems these days, including many people having their Contacts shredded. What's going on with Apple? -
Pair iphone with GPS receiver?
Is it possible to get an A2DP dongle for the iphone and then pair it with a bluetooth GPS receiver, thereby using the iPhone as a GPS? I don't want to buy all this junk if it's impossible. Thanks for any info!

No. Bluetooth only works for Audio. -
My son and I both have iphones with the same Apple ID. Since I installed iOS this morning I have started receiving all my sons texts and when I send him a text it is delivered to both of us. How can I remove my phone from the joint Apple ID and remove myself from finding out what he is up to during Freshers week!
You have to use a different Apple ID for your son.

Sounds like it is using your Apple ID / Associated Emails to receive the iMessage. This means that the person who is replying is making it go to your email address. Make sure that the person you are sending the iMessage to has an iPhone as well. I don't remember if other iOS devices can send iMessages to a mobile phone number.

I live in South Africa, and I had the same problem with my iPhone 4.
After weeks of frustration and swearing, I was in the process of restoring my phone to a previous iOS. To do that you need to turn the "Find my iPhone" option off, since i turned it off, my problem was solved. No need to repair anything or revert back to old iOS.

pioneer 8400 DVD receiver player, as iPhone ios6 update now when connecting the new iPhone with ios6 to my car DVD 8400 unit, when playing music such as on my phone or Pandora the track button does not function or work at all not even if i press skip track forward or back on the unit it doesn't function everything works except that. on listening to radio or anything else related not pairing thru Bluetooth unit works fine, seems there to be Bluetooth update that is not making iPhone and unit not compatible at all. does pioneer need fix this problem with update firmware or thru apple need help. my iPhone was working fine before with previous ios 5 before.

1. Download the INSTRUCTIONS for the optional Bluetooth firmware update (HW05_SW01.27.20).
2. Download the UPDATE FILE to a computer and transfer the file to a compatible 2012 Pioneer CD or DVD Receiver via a Bluetooth-enabled Windows 7 laptop.
You can also arrange for Pioneer to update your 2012 Pioneer CD or DVD Receiver by calling Pioneer Customer Service toll free at 800-421-1404 during regular business hours (M-F 10AM-7:30PM Eastern Time, except on holidays). If this firmware update is performed by Pioneer, there is a charge of $60.00 (this charge includes return shipping of the updated unit within the U.S.). How to Determine if the Firware Update has Already been Installed
CD Receivers:
• With the unit turned off (press and hold the source button until the CD Receiver turns off), press and hold the center of the volume knob to bring up the Settings menu → rotate the volume knob until "BT Version Info" is displayed and then press the center of the volume knob → The firmware version should show HW05-SW01.27.20.
DVD Receivers:
• With the unit turned off (press the home button and select ‘OFF’ from the source icons), press the home button → Press the “System” icon at the bottom of the screen → Select the “Bluetooth Version Info” option → The firmware version should show HW05-SW01.27.20.
If the Bluetooth firmware version shows HW05-SW01.27.20, no further action is necessary.

My phone doesn't make and receive calls. It doesn't have coverage where other iPhones with the same network do. Please, let me know how way I sort this problem out?
My wife is having the exact same issue after updating to the new iOS 8.1.1 and we've tried all the same steps even restoring the phone as a new phone. We've contacted our service provider and they've told us to go to apple to potentially "remove" her serial number from their servers to allow it to work properly on the service we have. We are desperate as purchasing a new phone right now is not an option and she desperately needs her phone for work and life.

If your iMessage and FaceTime still hasn't activated by now, I would recommend you use this specific section of the following article as long as you verify you've done all the other troubleshooting from it for this issue:
If you get an error when trying to activate iMessage or FaceTime
If you're using an iPhone, contact your carrier to make sure that you can receive SMS messages.

After upgrading to iOS 8 my iPhone 5s is not receiving iMessages from the rest of the family. My phone shows up green instead of blue on the other phones. I have tried all kinds of resets, turning off/on iMessages, etc. Nothing has worked so far. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Why does the iMessage say that someone isn't registered with iMessage when they have an iPhone with iOS 5.1 software?
DId the person with the iPhone activate Messages on his iPhone and has he assigned the number you are call as a Receive At number?

You need to remove your phone number from the iMessage system.

this puts on the AppStore but I have tried to restore as I wrote above, and does not work. There is nothing to restore.
regardsI've been having the same problem. However, I believe my problem is due to the 3G issues I've been having. I don't have internet access even when the 3G symbol appears, so probably my iphone keeps trying to connect to the network and has its battery drained! Have you been having the same issue?
