Sounds like a newbie question... help!

i have a mega 180 and i am not sure on how to go about reformatting this pc. sorry if this sounds incredibly newbie but the options in the bios is different from what i usually encounter on my old hp computer. when i change the options for primary master and secondary master, i can't seem to choose my cd rom as the primary master. all i get is auto manual or none. i would be extremely appreciative if anyone could help me out. thanks!

That's a different option in the BIOS. Can't remember exactly what menu it's under, but I think the second one. Then there's an option for "First Boot Device", change that to say CDROM. And change "Second Boot Device" to be your hard drive, most likely HDD-0 (that will be your Primary Master - the one you will boot the OS from).

Might sound like a newbie question but please help! (WRT610N)

I purchased the WRT610N to replace my old WRT54G. I like the router overall, but I am running into glich after glich. I figured out most of them up to this point, but now I'm running out of ideas. Before the firmware upgrade release on 1-21-09 I was able to access my USB storage drive via hostname on my local network. For example any shares on my local network show up under my workgroup in windows Vista/XP (mixed enviornment). Now after the firmware update no matter what I do if I want to access my shares I have to type \\myroutersip\myshare. I have gotten so used to just going to my network places and and selecting WRT610N (which was the hostname) entering my predefined password,and accessing my share. How do I fix this? I thought about enabling/editing the hostfile, but I should not have to do that (at least I didn't before). If anyone knows how to accomplish this please reply. TIA

There is no such settings your router, which will disable your access to the Drive by the Host name.If you have any Firewall or Antivirus you can disable it and try accessing your Drive with the Host name.May be you can try one settings on your router, Login to your router setup page, click on the Storage Tab and Below you need to click on the Sub tab "Media Server" and Enable "UPnP Media Server" and click on Save Settings. I think this might solve your problem.

It is not a replacement for a computer.
It mirrors the selected content of your computer.
The only programs that can be loaded on an ipad are those found in the app store.

HP Officejet 6500 looks, acts, sounds like printing, but nothing HELP?

Looks like everything is working fine... computer sees printer, printer receives print request and starts to print, sounds and looks like it is printing, but there is NOTHING on the paper. Acts the same whether printing in black and white or in color. Tried installing new cartridges, same problem. Rebooted, plugged, unplugged, turned off, on, made sure all driver are updated, did everything I know how to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm a starving college student with just 3+ months left til graduation... can't afford to buy a new printer now! Please HELP!!!!

My Powerbook sounds like a clock! Help please.

A few hours ago my Powerbook started clicking like a clock. About every second it clicks. The sound is coming from the rear of the unit, or the rear left, or the bar that connects the main unit to the display; it's hard to tell. It's pretty loud too.
What's going on?
It can't be dying! I have an interview tomorrow and need to finish my presentation.

Ok, now that your done backing up trying running the hardware diagnositc utility that is found on one of the discs that come with the computer. Also if you can tell us when the clicking started what was happening with the computer or if you can cause the clicking to start or stop (determine causality)

PCS3 to PCS4 Mac Newbie Question/Help

Hello. I recently bought my first Mac (a MacBook) and I'm wanting to download Photoshop CS3 Extended, but now there's the new PCS4. On my old computer which is a Dell, I had PCS3 Extended and I have the serial number. My question is if I download the trial version of PCS4 Extended on my Mac, can I still use the same serial number to activate it or will I have to buy PCS4 Extended for Mac? I'm somewhat confused, but I appreciate any help.

No, you cannot use a Windows license on a Mac.
You need a new license for your Mac.
If you are not going to keep the Windows version, you can contact Customer Support and ask for a cross-grade. It involves a letter of destruction of the Windows version and paying a nominal fee (under $10) for the cost and shipping of the new media. Actually, since you're coming from CS3 you will be charged the Upgrade price ($200 or so).
If you want to keep on using a Windows version, then you must buy a new version for the Mac at full price.

WD 'My Book' Newbie Questions (help?)

This is my first post on here and I only recentky purchased my WD My Book 2TB.

Is it possible to UPLOAD your own AVATAR? I could not see the option to do this when I created my profile earlier.

Sorry if this sounds like a silly question..

But how do I find out which GarageBand edition I have? I have iLife 04, but there is no category on the Apple Discussions for "GarageBand 4" so I'm guessing it isn't that. All it says on GarageBand is, when I clicked "About GarageBand it came up with "v.1.1.0 (26)". Don't know if that's any help...

The Netweaver 7 Abap Trial is not an IDES system. There are not R/3 modules like MM, SD, FI, etc. It's only for ABAP trainning and practice.
To practise ABAP you can use the tables SPFLI, SFLIGHT, SBOOK, etc.

Newbie questions, help needed, please

I am pretty new to Oracle Application Express. I have two problems when I try to create Page with type of "Report and Form". I hope you guys could help me out:
(1) When I create Pages with the type of "Report and Form", the first column, primary key does not show up in the report page. Why?
(2) When the table has two primary keys, I have problem when I click the button to go to form page from report page to update the record. It always show error said "Fetch returns more than one rows". How can I tell the application that I have two primary keys?

Put in "HTML Expression [Insert column value]" part of field which will be a link:

P.S.
I read somewhere that life with Appex should be much easy when people should use PK base on one coulmn (sequence).
To ensure PK on those fields create UNIQUE index on those two fields and in table define NOT NULL on those two columns.

You are trying to add an item to the '1' index, but there are no items in the Vector yet. If you want to add items to a Vector one after the other, just use add (Object o). There is no need to specify an index.
Secondly, the items in a Vector start at the '0' index, not '1'.

This is probably going to sound like a ridiculous question, but

I have a lot of stuff on my iphone, and would like a folder or area where I can access/store the most important things (files, documents, pics, and video) in one place. I'm not talking about things on my mac computer (and I'm leery of downloading things onto my mac), but different things already on my iphone. For example I have a short video on facebook that I need to refer to often and quickly, but I have to go through a lot of steps to pull it up. I have soccer schedules, particular e-mails a picture or two, and other files that I would love to store all together on the phone where I could access it quickly (mabey in a folder of 'important stuff') Does anyone know how this could be done? I am pretty much computer illiterate, and was just wondering if there was a way or an app that would let me store a variety of different files so I don't have to go searching through a mountainous amount of information every time I was looking for the particular thing that I use the most often.

sorry hate to break your heart but this cant be done.. the closest thing I can think of would be getting drop box and loading your docs and pictures into it but I dont think you can get a video off facebook to put on dropbox really this functionality is not on the iphone dropbox is as close as you will get..

This sounds like a silly question about podcast capture.

To be honest, I'm not a native English speaker and I don't know much about PC. I got my new Macbook yesterday and the whole point of getting it is to make podcasts. While I was in Account Setup, it asked me to enter a Podcast Producer server to connect to. What should I put there?

Is a 10.3 MB file a super-huge file in Illustrator CS6? I'm just trying to figure out why my machine is running so slowly; was working well a few days ago when I worked on this particular piece of artwork. I have around seven layers.

The filesize 10.3 MB is far from unusual (if anything, some here might ask: when do you really start working on it? You may also create a new document of the same size, and then save it without any artwork too see what you actually start with).
There may be many reasons for slowdowns, including other things running. You may (also) have a look at the speed with only Illy working.

Newbie, urgent help requi

I recently purchased a Zen Touch. I charged it up, and started importing tracks. I've reached about 20 tracks, but now i can't import anymore tracks. I go through the same procedure as before adding file etc, but when the smaller box appears, telling me what is about to be imported it freezes on the first track at somewhere between 0-00 % ? I've tried to import tracks from different albums all with the same results.
Can anyone help, i'm tearing my hair out ?
p.s This might sound like a stupid question, but is there a STOP button on the player. If i'm playing a track can i just press stop ?
