Soundtrack Pro 2.02 will not open

I purchased Logic Studio as soon as it was available. When the update came out I loaded it just fine. Logic Studio works perfectly. Soundtrack Pro will not open at all. I clicked on the alias in the dock, the icon bounced one, and then just sat there. Removed the alias from the dock and tried to open from the apps folder. Same thing. Any ideas what the problem might be?

Not sure what the problem was but I reinstalled Soundtrack Pro and all is working now. If anyone else is having similar problems, try a clean reinstall.

You were running a non-Intel version on an Intel Mac. You might not have run into problems before but it was only a matter of time. You cannot run an old version and then install brand new versions of ProKit and QuickTime - it will just break.
So you can either reinstall everything from scratch and then just keep it as it is without ever installing software updates, or you can upgrade to FCP 7. I recommend the latter.

Premiere Pro CS 6 Will Not Open

My Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 will not open. It tries to open, but does not attempt to load any settings. After a minute, a crash reports shows up.

Intel Core i7

First, OSX 10.9.5 is LONG after CS6 was written, so it may not work at all

HQ pro-res file will not open - invalid Atom

Hi Everybody,
Suddenly, my macbook pro will not open Apple pro-res 4:2:2HQ files that were originally acquired using the alexa. When I open the files,I get this message:
“An invalid public movie atom was found in the movie.”
Here’s my system: 2.53 GHz Macbook Pro Core i5, 4GB Ram. Ihave a mere 12gigs of space left on the internal HD.
Here are a few facts:
I just upgraded to LION. I don’t think issue washappening before I upgraded to LION. The files have been fine through many editsessions so they came off the Alexa in good condition.
I was able to open the files just fine onanother machine that was running Snow Leopard. This indicates to me the filesare not corrupted and the drive the file lives on is not damaged.
If the video file is less that 1Gig, it opensfine on my machine. If it’s greater than 1Gig, it gives me the “invalid publicmovie atom” message.
Oddly, the only file I can open the file in isquicktime 10. I can open the file and play it. I cannot open the file in anyother software including FCP 7, mpeg stream clip, compressor, quicktime pro 7.
When I open the file in FCP 7, I just see white.
Does anyone have any suggestions how to fix this issue? Ifit’s the LION upgrade, I hope I don’t have to go back to snow leopard to remedythis issue.

Premiere Pro cs5.5 will not open after double-clicking icon

I have uninstalled and reinstalled from disk. I double-click the icon and the opening screen begins and then closes down. I've run windows update to make sure everything is up to date and it still will not open. Any suggestions on what to do?

I don't think that is a graphics adapter, that is an I/O device... from what I have read
--Windows 7 click START and look on the right side
--Go to Windows Control Panel from START popup
--NOTE that I do not have Win8 so can't give instructions
--Click Hardware and Sound and then click Device Manager
--Click the + sign at Display Adapters
--Right click the display adapter and select Properties
The "usual" is some model of ATI/AMD or an nVidia adapter

Help - Yoga Pro 3 Apps Will Not Open

I am looking for some help troubleshooting why my apps will not work.
I click on an app, the app begins to initialize, but then immediately closes. I am then sent back to the windows start screen. Any app I attempted to open will show up in the task manager side bar, but the apps will still not open if clicked from the sidebar.

While doing a clean install may be the final solution know that you have to visit multiple locations on your drive to "properly' remove DVDSP. There is a technote on this topic. An incomplete removal only seems to complicate things.
Create a new account as Hal has suggested and see what happens. If it does not work focus on getting the current DVDSP off the drive(leaving other pro apps in place), ditch preferences, and fix permissions.
Using both accounts do a random check of the remianing apps to make sure there is not a complex issue happing on your drive.
Reinstall DVDSP but open the app (not your project) first in the new account. If all si well then do the same for your account.
If all remains well then open your project. If it works then you are gold; if it doesn't at least you have knowledge that something within your project is off balance.
OT: This is one of those "dark arts" ideas that seems logical to me but has no practical justification. With DVDSP off take your project folder and move it to the Public folder. Then fire up DVDSP and open the project. You'll get the broken links message so point to the new location and let the links rebuild. This task might fix things behind the scenes.

Premiere pro sound track will not open Audition

when I right-click on the soundtrack and select 'edit in audition' it does the 'render and replace', but does not open Audition. Even when I open Audition first, it will not place the sound track in the Audition software.

Be sure SESX files are set to open in Audition in the OS File Associations.

I cleared out a movie I made in final cut pro, now fcp will not open completely, I get the logo with all the names running through but never get timeline, browser or anything else? Help!! Larry

Sounds like you may have deleted more than just the movie file. It the FCP application in the Applications folder? if so, try launching from there. If not, you'll neeed to uninstall the app completely using this: http://www.digitalrebellion.com/fcsremover/ then reinstall from the original install discs.
You may want to first try trashing FCP's preferences.
