Soundtrack Pro crashes every time!
Hello!
I've read that many people in here had problems when starting Sountrack Pro. I've just bought Logic Studio 8 and installed everything in the package. All seems to be working fine, but Soundtrack Pro crashes when I try to start the application. The main window appears on the screen, but then It freezes and I can't do anything until I force application to finish. I've reinstalled Soundtrack Pro, deleted the preferences, uninstalled Compressor and then reinstalled Soundtrack and Compressor... no one of this actions solved the problem. What can I do? I'm desperated! I'm using Leopard 10.5.2 and I've downloaded software updates.
Please help!
Oh my god! Finally I made it work!!
What I've done is this: Right click on the Soundtrack Pro icon at the Applications Folder, select Explore the package and search for the executable on the directories below. Then, execute that file, and then it will launch a terminal session while Soundtrack is initialiting. In the terminal window appears the message error that made Soundtrack Pro crash. In my case, there was a file from a plugin I uninstalled so long ago that was causing conflict with Soundtrack. I deleted it and then Soundtrack launched perfectly!
I'm so happy I think I could dance!

Every time I click on my Note application on my MacBook Pro, the app crashes ... An error page openes. When I click to restart it, it crashes again. After a couple of times, it starts up.
Anybody as an idea why it crashes that much and have a way to repair it ?
thanks a lot !Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Console in the icon grid.
Step 1
Make sure the title of the Console window is All Messages. If it isn't, select All Messages from the SYSTEM LOG QUERIES menu on the left.
Enter the name of the crashed application or process in the Filter text field. Post the messages from the time of the last crash, if any — the text, please, not a screenshot.
When posting a log extract, be selective. In most cases, a few dozen lines are more than enough.
Please do not indiscriminately dump thousands of lines from the log into a message.
Important: Some private information, such as your name, may appear in the log. Edit it out by search-and-replace in a text editor before posting.
Step 2
Still in the Console window, look under User Diagnostic Reports for crash reports related to the process. The report name starts with the name of the crashed process, and ends with ".crash". Select the most recent report and post the entire contents — again, the text, not a screenshot. In the interest of privacy, I suggest that, before posting, you edit out the “Anonymous UUID,” a long string of letters, numbers, and dashes in the header of the report, if it’s present (it may not be.) Please don’t post shutdownStall, spin, or hang logs — they're very long and not helpful. -

Premiere Pro Crash every time I quit the program
This has been a constant problem over the last several months. Sometimes it's harmless, but I believe it's leading to corrupt files in certain cases and I'm losing work and time because of it.
This is the problem:
1. I working in PP and I save my project.
2. After saving I quit and I get the error message the my project crashed, which then prompts me to send an error report to apple + adobe
What on earth would be causing this to happen?
For starters I'm working on a brand new MacBook Pro. I'm on the latest version of PP CC which is version 7.2.2
Please help me get the the bottom of this. It makes no sense that a professional program such as this would be unstable.More information needed for someone to help... please click below and provide the requested information

If you did install from scratch, unplug all of those peripheral usb/firewire drives and what-not and isolate the problem.

Can anybody advise how I can make my Adobe Pro work? Now it it gives me a note "Adobe quit unexpectedly" each time I launch it. I have it on iMac. The trial version worked no problem, glitches started after I bought a monthly subscription.
Thank you in advance. If you are on Windows, I would go to Control Panel>Programs & Features and do a repair.

My MacBook pro crashes every time I start it
Hello
I have bought this Mac six moths ago. Now for unknown reason, it crashes when it starts booting. Before it crashes, it shows the Apple logo, then it shows the Apple logo with a loading bar. I guess it try's to restore the system... I don't know. But when the loading bar starts loading, the computer crashes.
Please help
EliHave you tried:
Reinstalling Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion: Select Reinstall Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You can also re-download the Lion installer by opening the App Store application. Hold down the OPTION key and click on the Purchases icon in the toolbar. You should now see an active Install button to the right of your Lion purchase entry. There are situations in which this will not work. For example, if you are already booted into the Lion you originally purchased with your Apple ID or if an instance of the Lion installer is located anywhere on your computer. -
Acrobat 8 Pro crashes every time I try to access the help menu
I ran disk warrior, disk utility and trashed prefs - at least I think I got the right prefs file. I looked at the problem report that pops up, but can't really tell much. Below are the first couple of lines. Does anyone know what the problem is?

It's a driver for a device you no longer use.
Any third-party software that doesn't install by drag-and-drop into the Applications folder, and uninstall by drag-and-drop to the Trash, is a system modification.
Whenever you remove system modifications, they must be removed completely, and the only way to do that is to use the uninstallation tool, if any, provided by the developers, or to follow their instructions. If the software has been incompletely removed, you may have to re-download or even reinstall it in order to finish the job.
Here are some general guidelines. Suppose you want to remove something called “BrickYourMac.” First, consult the product's Help menu, if there is one, for instructions. Finding none there, look on the developer's website, say www.brickyourmac.com. (That may not be the actual name of the site; if necessary, search the Web for the product name.) If you don’t find anything on the website or in your search, email the developer. While you're waiting for a response, download BrickYourMac.dmg and open it. There may be an application in there such as “Uninstall BrickYourMac.” If not, open “BrickYourMac.pkg” and look for an Uninstall button.
You may have to log out or reboot in order to complete an uninstallation.
If you can’t remove software in any other way, you’ll have to erase your boot volume and perform a clean reinstallation of OS X. Never install any third-party software unless you're sure you know how to uninstall it; otherwise you may create problems that are very hard to solve.
Trying to remove complex system modifications by hunting for files by name often will not work and may make the problem worse. The same goes for "utilities" that purport to remove software. -
my MAc Book PRO 13" Retina display will not update. It crashes every time I try to do an update. I have sent in the information on each update but so far nothing back from Apple. Also it does not matter what I am trying to update, the operating system, and application, each caused the same crash. This mac book is less than a month old.
That is the highest you will be able to go with 3g. You need 3gs or 4 to go any higher (multi processors and more memory needed). Version 4.2.1 marks the end of your updates for that device.

downloaded 11.0.3 (42) 64 bit to my MacBook Pro and it crashes every time I select a song a use the 'add to' function to add to a play list. It's never done this before, is it a bug with the new version?
You could just disable updates. Change these settings in about:config.
* app.update.auto - set to false
* app.update.enabled - set to false
You can still check for updates with the "Check for Updates" button in the About Firefox window, but it will download the update file anyway if there is an update available. You can also check which is the current release from here:

Logic Pro 8 Won't Open. Crashes EVERY time.
I'm running Logic Pro 8.0.2 and Logic Pro X on Maverick. I have a lot of songs that only open in 8 but my computer crashes every time it tries to open any of the files. I can't seem to get anything open and these files are VERY important. PLEASE help!
I've tried opening while holding the alt/option key. Doesn't open a blank template. I've restarted my computer. I've looked everywhere online. Can't seem to find help.
Thanks for your time.
tLogic Pro 8 itself doesn't work correctly with Mavericks... All sorts of weird behaviour can occur.... as it is no longer supported under that OS X version.
You can try to open the LP8 projects in LPX itself but note, any 32bit plugins and other LP8/9 only features used in your LP8 projects.. will no longer work in LPX
Solutions?
Roll back using your backups, to Mountain Lion.. where LPX and LP8 will continue to run side by side.... (You did make backups before you upgraded to Mavericks, yes?)
or....
