Hi,
Is it possible to see more than one meter at a time when recording?? When I record enable tracks I do not see any meter levels in the Mixing window, I only see them in the Recording Tab. Yes I can switch which track I am viewing in the record tab, but I want to see meters for multiple inputs simultaneously!
Please tell me I am the semi pro and not the program!

Subclass JLabel, and override the paintComponent method to add hatching to your heart's content.
I can't imagine why you'd want to do that though.

Itunes is an app only for Mac/PC, used to sync iPad to the computer and to listen to music.
You can listen to music on the iPad using the Music app.
To enable syncing/backup of your data without a computer, use iCloud.

Help! Did I hose my powerbook? there must be a way to right this wrong...

I spilled blueberry juice on my PowerBook G4 last night.
I immediately tried to dry off and shake out any moisture, and I was looking for a way to take the keyboard out - but this thing is built like Ft. Knox!
I started it up this morning, and it was working great. As I was still feeling lucky, all of the sudden my monitor went dark. I have reset the power management twice, and the display works for a while. But then it starts flickering and goes black again.
I've tried putting it to sleep, letting it rest... I don't know this, but I suspect that the display may be going on again after being dark for a while - since I left it on this morning, and it was on when I got back from shopping. But then it went black again.
If you have any experience with this problem, or any advice, please help.
Is there anything I can do?

Keypad Lock: RU kidding? There must be a way. ???

Hello All. I spent a couple of days with my new Tour 8630 (Verizion), and have some questions. Here's my first Q: Is it possible to lock the keypad in such a way that an accidental bump of any of the exposed keys/buttons does not turn the display on?
The "Lock" button on the top left is useless in this regard. Sure, the buttons become dysfunctional, but if any are pressed, the display lights up to present the message "Keypad is locked. Press the lock button to unlock." Of course, each time this occurs the battery drains a little more. With repeated, unintentional button presses, the device soon dies for lack of battery charge.
Just like thousands of users out there, I toss my BB device into jacket pockets, book bags, back packs, etc. I do not use a holster. The device buttons are routinely pressed without my knowledge, thus draining the battery. There must be a way to avoid this. ???

No, there is not a way to avoid this.
It is intentional that when a key or button is pressed, the screen lights. It must work that way.
So, if you pressed a key or button on the locked the device and the device did NOT respond -- that would be bad. The users would be franticly trying to revive dead devices.
How is the device to know the difference between your key scraping against and pushing a button in your pocket, vs. that of your finger intentionally waking it up?

How do I delete dozens of messages from the same sender at the time. There must be a way. Thank you.

I have not been able to check my messages for a couple of weeks. I now find myself with 315 messages, many from same sender. I want to delete most, but don't know how. There must be a way to delete all messages from same sender as many of mine are. Please help. Life is way to short and precious than to accomplish this task deleting them one at a time. Thank you so very much for your help.

Thanks for the question. The following resource outlines how to select multiple messages in the Mail application. Once selected, you can then delete the messages:

Delete, move, or mark multiple messages. While viewing a list of messages, tap Edit. Select some messages, then choose an action. If you make a mistake, shake iPhone immediately to undo.

Command (right) - click on the photo and select Fit to Frame in the contextual menu:
Not all frames in a theme offer that feature but most do. The spread layout doesn't.

The client has already made the jump to 8Gb including HBA's, switch and RAID Storage.
The other question will be if they need a seperate Mac Server to run the Meta Data or are they able to use the current Mac they are running to do this?
The Mac is a 201073 model they say with 12 Dual Core 2.66Mhz processors and 16 GB of Memory. This system is currently doing rendering. It has the XSAN Client but I understand for the solution to work they need to also run XSAN Server on a MDC.

Sorry, but you'll have to restore it. And if it's running iOS 7 with Find My iPad enabled, you'll have to force it into recovery mode in order to restore it, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1808.
If you have a backup to restore from, that will include your camera roll photos.

There must be some way to backup purchased audiobooks from my iPhone to my reformatted Mac.

I reformatted my MacBook Pro about a month ago, and have recently tried syncing my iPhone 5s with iTunes on my MacBook Pro, so that I can temporarily remove some purchased audiobooks, in order to make room to sync over some other audiobooks that I haven't listened to in awhile.
However, you guessed it, if I proceed with this process to add additional audiobooks to my iPhone, I get the warning that all music, books, audiobooks, and photos will be removed from the iPhone. That's not an option. I know that iTunes purchased audiobooks are one-time downloads, unlike purchased iTunes music. Since I have purchased two expensive audiobooks on my iPhone, since the time that I reformatted my MacBook Pro, I am not willing to double-spend in order to buy them again. Nor, I am willing to lose these books. I'd like to re-listen to them monthly, for the foreseeable future.
If I were to try using a backup of my iTunes library (from just before the MB Pro reformat), it wouldn't include those recent audiobook purchases.
Is there a proper method to achieve an up-do-date merged sync, and not lose any audiobooks? If not, is there a reliable third-party software or system I could use? I'm hoping for something above the worst case scenario of simply playing the audiobooks from my iPhone, and recording them into an mp3 using AudioHijack Pro on my Mac.
This has been the only glitch in my drive reformat issue.

Please someone help me with these issue. I made my mum buy and ipad instead of a personal PC, promising it would make her life easier. She only use this device to send mails to hers friends. She its complaining that every time she has to send a mail, she spends 5 minutes choosing the contacts she want, one by one (instead of leting her chose the ones he like in a row and the clik add just ONE time)

There are a few things you can do. The first is hit reply all to an old email (assuming that this is the same group of friends each time) and just delete the content a type a new email. This way you don't have to type in any addresses. The second is that you could create distribution lists using the Notes app. This way you can create multiple groups of friends for different emails. What you would do is create a new note and at the top write Group A or whatever you want to name it. Then type all of the email addresses of the people you want to email. Save that and when you want to email those people go to the notes app and double tap on a word to bring up the copy/paste slider. Copy all the email addresses (make sure when you type them you separate them the same way the Mail app does) and paste them into the To: field of the message. This can be done for multiple groups of friends by writing different notes. If each email is to a completely different set of people, I am afraid not much can be done.

Any Ideas on how to install Mountain Lion on a 2007 PowerBook G4? What modifications if any can be made? This is such a fine machine I hate to get rid of it. PS I am not a geek but I am willing to try something.

The PowerBook G4 is a fine machine. One of Apple's best. I know because I loved mine very much.
But that means I also know how it feels to move up to an Intel Mac. And the fact is, any Intel Mac is much faster than a PowerBook G4 which is a decade old now. As much as I loved my PowerBook G4, once I used an Intel Mac, the G4 felt slow and awful. Even if you could install Mountain Lion, it relies so much on the power of current technologies, processors, and graphics that it would probably be a horrible experience on a G4 because the G4 would not have the power to run ML at the speed for which it was designed.
Why is it that you don't like the MacBook Pro? Is it the screen? When I moved from the PowerBook G4 to the MacBook Pro I ordered the anti-glare matte high-resolution screen. This gives me a matte screen with a metal bezel, which I greatly prefer to the glossy screen on shiny black bezel of the standard MacBook Pro. In all other respects (except the black keyboard keys) this MacBook Pro looks and feels like my PowerBook G4, only many times faster.
