Source Data from OLE DB staging area to Import for FDM

Hi ! Please help me out on Integartion of Oracle to FDM
I want to load data into FDM directly fom Oracle database through an Integration Script.
How to take Source Data from OLE DB staging area to Import for FDM?
My main intension to import data for FDM from Oracle DB where there is no manual intervention and it could be safe. We are taking Actual data through Oracle Apps and keep that data into Oracle DB for further process.
FDM can also import data from Oracle Data Base Source means I need procedure/script to import data from Oracle data base staging area where we keep some data for HFM to enter the data on monthly basis.
OLEDB----->Import FDM-------> Export to HFM (Procedure\script without manual intervention)
Here in OLEDB data comes cumulative from Day or week to Month basis for inputing to HFM applicaiton.(Actual)

You will want to look at the FDM Admin Guide
Look for Integration Import Scripts
There are a few pages that cover what you are trying to do. If you do not know VBScript it might be benefitial to tap someone who does or brush up on ADO.

We obtained the source data, but can not do to write the same in CBF area.
You managed to make the recording of such data in CBF area? How did they do it?

Ck source data from BW side

I have a question ... How can we see the SAP HR source data from BW . I dont want to check the PSA. Is there any option or shall I have to go directly to the source system?

Hi Pranita,
You can not see source data from BW unless it is loaded in BW. Before loading, you can check using tcode RSA3 and giving datasource name in source system. When data is loaded to BW you need to check PSA data to view source data that came into BW.
Tcode RSDS is for datasource repository. Here you can change/create/delete datasource. But you can not check data of a datasource.
Table RSDS gives information about datasources, not the content of datasources.
The table RSDSEG you mentioned is wrong. The correct table name is RSDSSEG. This tables gives the corresponding PSA table technical name of a datasource.
Do one thing. Use table RSDSSEG and give your datasource name. There you can easily view the PSA table technical name. Use this table name and check table contents from SE16. Every time you can directly go to SE16 and check this table content to view source data that came to PSA.

You find third-party apps in the App Store. What app are you looking for? Due to problems, Apple removed the ability to record that information in Health. You can always go back to whatever you used before three weeks Health was released. Why can you not check and record your blood glucose? I would assume you check it using blood samples and a glucose meter which has nothing to do with your phone. You should be able to record it in any number of apps, from Notes to purpose made third-party apps.

LR is using meta data from previous edited photos on new imports

When I am importing new photos to a new catalog LightRoom gave all the photo settings that I had used on a previous catalogs photo I had to delete the catalog because I could not find an answer anywhere. Tried the deleteing and importing 3 times with same result.
Once I did Start another new catalog and pressed reset on everything I could find it worked.
What can I do if this happens again? Anybody know what setting that involves?

On the right side of the Import screen, there's a heading "Apply during import". (If it doesn't show, right-click on the panel on the right and choose it from the menu.) One of its sub-fields is Metadata. That field and the Keywords field below it, I think are "sticky". You need to make sure that they contain the metadata that you want applied in your current import.
It's almost always a bad idea to delete your catalogue or re-import images. Both those things fall at the very end of possible remedies because they cost you a lot of work, and there are almost always cheaper ways of solving your problem.

No, iCloud doesn't sync music between devices. To get your music on your iPad, sync it with iTunes.

iPhone do not store anything on the sim.
Photos should be saved on computer like any other digital camera.
You can restore the backup for your dad as well as for yourself while swapping phones.

Loading data from Cube to Planning area

Hi,
If I am loading data from a cube to a planning area using transaction TSCUBE,
does the system load data into planning area for the combinations that exist in the cube or does it load for all CVCs?
For example,
I have my CVC as Plant, Material, Customer
If there are 4 CVCs in the POS that were previously generated as
Plant--Material--Customer
01--M1--
C1
01--M2--
C3
01--M2--
C2
01--M4--
C5
If the cube has data like this:
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C1--
10
01--M2C3--
20
01--M2C2--
5
(doesnot have the last combination), then if I use TSCUBE transaction to load data to Planning area from this cube,
is the data loaded as
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C1--
10
01--M2C3--
20
01--M2C2--
5
Only for the 3 combinations that exist in the cube and not load anything for the last one
OR
is the data loaded as
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.

Load all 4 combinations and send 0 as the cube doesnot have this combination?

Thanks a lot Vinod, Srinivas and Harish. The reason why I am asking you is that we have a scenario where we get this situation.
We initially get data from R/3 to BW to APO like the below:
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C1--
10
Later when the customer is changed or bought out by somebody C1 is changed to C2. Some times when the business doesnot know who the customer is initially they just put C1 as dummy and then after sometime replace it by C2. Then the new record coming in is as follows:
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C2--
10
BW can identify changes in transaction data but not in Master data. What I mean by this is when Qty. 10 changes from 10 to 20, the system can identify it in deltas.
If the customer (master data) changes to C2 from C1, the system thinks it's a new record all together then if I use delta loads, it gets me the following:
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C1--
10
01--M1C2--
10
If I am looking at Plant and Material Level, my data is doubled.
So we are planning to do a full load that works like this:
1. Initial data like the below:
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C1--
10
The CVC is created and the planning area has Qty.10
Then we delete the contents of cube and do a full load into the cube with changed customer
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C2--
10
This time a new CVC is created. Then we have another 10 loaded into Planning area.
If the system loads all CVCs, then the it would send
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C1--
0
01--M1C1--
10
If the system loads only combinations in cube,
then it loads
Plant--MaterialCustomer----Qty.
01--M1C2--
10
But the system already has another 10 for Customer C1 duplicating the values.
We are trouble in the second case.
We had to go fr this solution instead of realignment as our business has no way pf knowing that C1 was replaced by C2.

SELECT col1, col2 FROM tab2is one option. There are dozens of other approaches, some of which may perform better and some which may perform worse, but this is generally pretty efficient and pretty easy to understand.

You can pool the data from one application to anothers. You can use the syntax :
*DESTINATION_APP
*ADD_DIM
*RENAME_DIM
note:
*ADD_DIM, using this syntax if your application needs add dimension.
*RENAME_DIM, using this syntax if your application needs rename the dimension name.

Dear Hari,
There are two ways of confirming correct loads:
1. Level by Level Analysis
2. Comparision with Virtual InfoProvider
First method is by analysing data at each level. First at Database Table (if loading from R/3) or Excel (if loading from flatfile), then at extraction level (See data at RSA 3, not possible with flatfile). After this load data to BW through PSA and check the content of PSA. After that load it to Infoprovider and varify there.
Second method is to create a Virtual Infocube on the datasource (extract exact data through FM). And create a multiprovider by combining this Virtual cube and original Cube. Then create a Query with calculated key figures as difference of each key figures from two cubes. This way you can say that which value is not matching.
I suggest you the first method, but the standard way would be second one at highly critical loads where you cannot match huge ammount of data.

I want the chart to automatically display information from the next row down once data has been entered into all fields of the first row without the chart displaying two sets of data i.e. just the second row only. I don't know of any way that Numbers can predict your next move! You must enter all your data and then select cells and create a chart. Here is a Table with a Header Row and two Rows of data:
You don't say what kind of chart you want. Here is a bar chart using data from Row 2. Select Row 2 by clicking once on the grey Row number (2) and choose a chart type (bar chart here):
Ignore the "Chart 3" label. I had three goes at this!
Click on the chart to select it:
then drag the Row (or Cells) selection down to Row 3 for a new chart (Oranges):

Import data from SQL Server into MS Word document for Mail Merge purpose ?

Is it possible to import contacts from SQL Server into MS Word for mail merge purpose or if retrieving data from MS Excel can we update the data in MS Excel sheet without opening it ?
Note: Remember when you open a word document already set up for mail merge, asks you to run the query to return all records from the excel sheet it is connected to.

Word and the current data source dialog do not really give you any help with that.
You either have to be able to create a View in SQL Server that performs the query you need, then connect to that, or you have to be able to create the correct query manually (or perhaps using some other query tool that can help you), then use VBA to connect
using that query.
For example, if you have been through the connection process once (connecting to a single table) then you will have a .odc (Office Data Connection file) which has the info. needed to connect to the correct server and database. It's a text file with some
HTML and XML inside. You can copy/rename it. Let's say it is called "c:\a\myodc.odc" Then in VBA you can use something like
ActiveDocument.OpenDataSource Name:="c:\a\myodc.odc, _
SQLStatement:="put your SQL statement in here, and if it is long,...", _
SQLStatement1:="put the second part in here"
You get a maximum of either 255 or around 511 characters in the SQL statement, and Word tends to impose some syntax requirements that Transact-SQL does not, so e.g. you may need to quote all your table names.
You can also se an empty .odc file and provide connection info. in the COnnection:= parameter in OpenDataSource.
As background, until Word 2000, by default you would use MS Query to create your SQL query, and MS Query does have facilities that can help you build your query (a bit like the ones in MS Access). That may still be possible (it is a bit harder to find the MS
Query option now, and I am not sure it works with the latest versions of Word). MS Query only works for ODBC queries, and they do not always work correctly when you actually issue the query using ODBC from Word, because of a Word problem to do with Unicode
fields in SQL Server. But you could probably still use MS Query to help you construct your SQL. (It's probably easier to do that in Excel, though).
