I installed Creator 2 update 1, and run the tutorial
"Getting Started With Sun Java Studio Creator"
After creating a web application, the Visual Editor shows:
Source File Error, and in the java source it shows:
import com.sun.rave.web.ui.appbase.AbstractPageBean; Not found etc.

I imagine the binary download may have been corrupted. If you haven't already done so, can you try to download Crreator 2 U 1 once more, but now using the Sun Download Manager?

Dear All,
I am able to schedule the Crystal report successfully means mail gets auto triggered as we set in SCHEDULE option. But when we tried to use the notification option we get the status as FAILED. nd in details we get "source file error. [No such file or directory]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]".
But still a mail gets triggred and each and every person will get mail. but the issue is notification will not work properly and no notification mail. And the status is despayed as FAILED with "source file error. [No such file or directory]: [CrystalEnterprise.Smtp]" this message.

Do you have multiple job servers in your environment? Did all the Job servers configured SMTP settings?

Whenever i try to download a rather large file i continue to get the "could not read source file" error. Tried new profile, uninstalling and looking for the compreg.dat file to delete nothing is working. Please help

Did you reinstall CS3 after CC?
For that matter, doing an in-place upgrade on the OS is always a gamble with Adobe programs. Reinstalling all the versions you need, in order, would probably solve your problem.
And you shouldn't need to save as IDML after opening the .inx in CC.

Exception Handler Error: Source File Error please help me out

Hai i have simply added a text field and a button and i am trying to submit the data entered in text field to the database by pressing button.
It is compiling and running successfully. but when i press the button it is showing that exception handler : Source File error.

Could you post initial part of the exception displayed in the Error Page. With out it, it is difficult to say what is happening!

Material master source file error !

HI all !
When i open my tab delimited file in excel (so that it is easily editable), i face a problem and that is values like '00204' OR '0001' get converted to 204 and 1 respectively and that causes error as such values are not what that particular field expects.
if somebody cud give me a permanent soln for that ,that wud be grt

Source file error again

I am getting really fad up with not being able to do simple things with this prog...... all I want is a file to go into encore ......if I go to dynamic link to encore it gets so far then tell me encoding failed...... now I'm getting this error message again .

its strange really as I have 2 time lines in PremPro I have already exported the first timeline to encore and its burnt off and plays ok .......Now I go to export the second timeline it plays up.
That might indicate that there is a problem with the second Sequence/Timeline.
Tell us all about your Project, with details paid to the Assets, where they came from, the format/CODEC, etc. The more detail provided, the more likely it will be that someone can find the problem.
As a "test," try things the "old fashioned way," by doing an Export from your problem Sequence as elemental streams, i.e. a non-muxed stream pair of one Video-only file, and one Audio-only file. In En, Import the Video-only file as a Timeline and the Audio-only file as an Asset. From the Project Panel, drag the Audio-only file to the appropriate Timeline. Establish the proper navigation with Links, and test Burn a DVD RW, or BD RE.
Let us know how that goes.

While accessing lighthammer getting missing HTML Source File error.

Hi Friends,
While tryining to logon to Lighthammer I am getting below error:
(Missing HTML Source File: D:/Lighthammer/Illuminator/Temp/HomePages/admin/HomePage_admin.htm)
On checking at location D:/Lighthammer/Illuminator/Temp/HomePages/admin I found that folder admin is not available
and when we restore it from backup it get deleted as soon as we try to logon again.
This is happening with all other users also. As a workarround we first logon to Lighthammer and when it gives error we paste folder for corresponding user (admin in this case) with home page under D:/Lighthammer/Illuminator/Temp/HomePages then it works.
We are using MII version 11.5 on windows 2003.

I checked directory D:/Inetpub/wwwroot/Illuminator/HomePages and it does not exist.
But this directory also not exist on any other system including the production systems which are working fine.
Also checked the permissions and there seems to be no permission issue.

Advance selection for source file-Error in communication channel monitoring

I have developed my scenario in the same way.But due to the values <NOTHING>
in Mandatory fields Source Directory and Filename,i am facing problem in Communication Channel Monitoring as it shows an error;even though the end-to-end scenario works successfully.
Plase note that our scenario is not to exclude the particular file but to pick the files serially after a certain delay.
Kindly provide some idea about how can we remove the error from Communication Channel Monitoring.

Sudhir,
In the sender file adapter, you have an option called "Processing Sequence".
By selecting ByName or ByDate you can make files get selected sequentially either ByName ( alphabetically ) or by the creation time stamp of the file.
In the sender file adapter also make the QOS as EOIO and give the QueueName as any value and the files will be processed sequentially.

UPDATE : Toshiba Recovery Wizard 'cannot read from source file or disk' error (satellite L500)

UPDATE 2: Phoned Toshiba tech support again, guided by techie to begin the recovery again. Just before phoning I was able to go into recovery options and view the drive setup and all the files that couldn't be read are on the CD so I've no idea why the error kept occuring, and neither did the techie. Fingers crossed it works this time but I'm not overly hopefully given that we've just done exactly the same as I did before. UPDATE 1: I got into the BIOS and reset everything back to defaults and yay, my toshiba recovery wizard now starts! :-D On the down side, when trying to do a factory default software / out of the box recovery I continually get error messages with regards to copying the files, for example

I have a two and half year old satellite L500 with an Intel i-3 and 4 gigs of RAM, on which I was running Windows 7.
Admittedly it’s had rather a hard life (I ran some very demanding CAD / graphics software on it) but it had always performed well until just recently, when after suffering several BSOD (which had never happened before), the hard drive failed.
I partitioned and formatted a brand new hard drive (which is perfectly fine and functions normally when hooked up to another laptop with a SATA to USB cable) and obtained system recovery discs from Toshiba. Unfortunately, when I try and run the first disc, windows starts to load files but then generates an error screen with the message Error F3-F100-0003 and a request to turn the computer off.
When I use the windows Memory Diagnostic to get into the Windows Boot Manager Screen I get the following;
Windows failed to start. A recent hardware / software change might be the case.
To fix the problem
Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer
Choose your language settings and click ‘next’
Click ‘repair your computer’
File: \boot\memtest.exe
Status: 0xc000000f
Info: the selected entry could not be loaded because the application is missing or corrupt.
I can also use F8 on startup to get into the advanced boot options but selecting any of them simply results in the F3-F100-0003 error message. I’ve run a memory test using the UBCD, which tells me the memory is fine, and tried another hard drive (which also works perfectly well in another laptop) but no joy. On phoning Toshiba support the techie said my hard drive had failed, but as I say, both hard drives are perfectly fine / usable when hooked up to another laptop. I’m now completely stuck as to what the problem is and how I might resolve it – any advice / suggestions would be most gratefully received! Thank you in advance :-)

the second disc gives me the the "cannot read from source file or disk PREINST8.SWM"
My best guess is that the disc is not readable. Try copying it to another. Sometimes that works.
Otherwise, order new discs from Toshiba.

I am trying to install livecycle trial version, but i get Error 13:11 Source file not found

Why do they even offer a free trial version of livecycle es4, when its obviously not free??????
i have tried from two different computers, windows 7 and windows 8, and before it can finish installing,

I am trying to install adobe livecycle designer es4 trial version on my computer and i keep getting the message Error 13.11 Source file not found: c:\ verify that the file exist. I have tried to install on both windows 7 and windows 8 and i still get the

Try a more recent version of my advice. The "for older video cards version" may work when the default version doesn't.

I rename the folder "AcrobatPro9AIP" to reflect the current version (e.g. "Acrobat9.4.2"), copy the folder to my DFS, create an MST with the Customization Wizard, and then deploy with Group Policy.
Before I deploy I always run a few test installations on two Windows XP 32-bit machines, and two Windows 7 64-bit workstations. I've been using this method to build my install point for the last 5 Adobe patches without a problem, but suddenly with version 9.4.2 my test workstations pop up with the following error during the installation via the standard installation method "msiexec /i acropro.msi TRANSFORMS=acropro.mst":
I built my installation package for acrobat9.4.1, 9.4.0 and 9.3.3 exactly the same way and the installations did not have this error. The file in question "Adobe.Acrobat.Dependencies.manifest" does not exist in my 9.4.1, or 9.4.0 package folders, nor does it exist in the 9.4.2 folder. Any suggestions?

I am having the same problem, all the relevant info was already covered in the "thewaker" post above.   I too have made a script to make a Admin install with patches up to 9.4.2. The script worked for 9.3.3 but when I remade the AdobeAIP for 9.4.2, I too got this error when installing it, even manually. (Error 1308.Source file not found. Adobe.Acrobat.Dependencies.manifest ) Running on Windows 7 32bit.

I did notice though that the "thewaker" has added AcrobatUpd941_all_incr.msp to his script, which is a security update. Which may be "a" problem, but I don’t think this is related to the problem we are having.

The Problem
We are running SharePoint 2013 and document sets that have an excel file and a PowerPoint presentation both in the document set folder and we have mapped this to a unc path
\\SP.companyname.com\@SSL\DavWWWRoot\Documents
Once a link(graph) is added from excel 2010 (Ctrl C) then go into PowerPoint 2010 Paste > paste special > paste link (As Microsoft Excel Chart Object) click ok the graph goes into the PowerPoint presentation.
The graph/Table is added but in Power point 2010. Perfect.
The problem is when we close excel and try and click on the graph(link) we get the following error “The Server application, source file, or item can’t be found, or returned an unknown error. You may need to reinstall the server
application”
If we right click then we get
The Linked file was unavailable and can’t be updated
Has anybody else experienced this issue?

I think that Office 2010 does not link or cannot link to a url which it see the unc path as?? It works in Office 2013 but we have Office 2010 as standard across the firm also I have tried SP1 and SP2 for Office 2010 but still

Usually this issue is caused by the Protected Mode in Adobe software, since it's not a Microsoft product, the information I can provide is quite limited. I suggest you contact the support of Adobe first, ask if they can provide any suggestion.

If I am trying with text files (*.txt) as source and output it works fine.
Please let me know how we can connect to an oracle table which is my source file.

ODQ supports files as inputs not Oracle tables, what you should do is:
- define an ODQ process that takes a file as an input.
- create an ODI process that dumps your Oracle table into a file that will be used by ODQ. (interface or OdiSqlUnload step)
- run the ODQ process in ODI (in a package)
- create an ODI interface that will load your ODQ output file into a DB.
You can profile Oracle tables directly using Oracle Data Profiling.
