Source for flash players?

new to flash...
i downloaded some "captioned flv playback skins" from adobe and installed them in cs4. 'SkinUnderPlayStopSeekMuteVol.swf' works in firefox on xp pro sp2 but does not work correctly in safari on a mac os-x. is there another web site where i might find a player of this capability that has been debugged for pc and mac?

Osprey capture cards ship with their Simulstream software package that allows multiple programs to access the audio/video input. As far as I know their isn't any limit except for the limitations of your hardware. We use an older Osprey capture card to capture an analog signal and then our streaming service requires that we have a separate instance of FMLE running for each unique bitrate that we are streaming. So typically we run five (5) instances of FMLE and we've run as many as eight (8) instances without any problems.

    Hi!.

    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/906/cpsid_90671.html
On my mobile project I use Geolocation:
When I try to run the mobile project , don’t work.
I´ve note that from FB in Package Explore, select my and I can to see the airglobal.swc  library , under: My proyect -> Flex 4.5.1 -> airglobal.swc. This library it look that are linked and  I can to see your packets such as: (default package); adobe utils ;  avmplus and  flash , but when I click on one of them, i.e : airglobal.swc->flash->sensors
and I try to open geolocator.abc , appear a popup ( Code Navigator error) that said:
"Source could not be found for flash.sensors.geolocation in D:\Archivos de programa\Adobe\Adobe Flash Builder 4.5\sdks\4.5.1\frameworks\libs\air\airglobal.swc"
If I go to this path in my HD, it exist and I  can see the airglobal.swc and Geolocation.abc files, but it look that FB don’t see L . It could be the problem?.
How I can to resolve?. Any idea?.
    Thank you!

Hi, I have a simmilar problem but is for another swc:
Source could not be found for mx.core:IUIComponent in C:\.....sdks\4.0.0\frameworks\libs\flash-integration.swc.
Is that not open source too ? Are all classes not accessible like this not open source ?
Also, I've read about mx_internal varialbes, and some people suggest going through the source code to find them, but when that's not possible what should one do to identify them, debug maybe ?

  • Dropping development for Flash Player on mobiles entirely?

"Even though Adobe just mentioned it was planning to invest further in HTML5 after restructuring, a rumor from ZDNet suggests the changes could go even further by dropping development for Flash Player on mobiles entirely. According to an email reportedly received by the company's partners, its future work on Flash for cellphones and tablets will focus on enabling developers to "package apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores." After years of battling with Apple and Steve Jobs over the place of Flash on mobiles it appears the company is ready to lay down its sword, with existing platforms like Android receiving only security updates going forward. If the rumors are true, we'll probably hear an official announcement later today, along with a few huge belly laughs from the folks in Cupertino."
    this info from Engadget.

    Confirmed
Flash to Focus on PC Browsing and Mobile Apps; Adobe to More Aggressively Contribute to HTML5
Posted by Danny Winokur, Vice President & General Manager, Interactive Development at Adobe in Business Professionals, Creative Professionals, Developers, Video
Adobe is all about enabling designers and developers to create the most expressive content possible, regardless of platform or technology. For more than a decade, Flash has enabled the richest content to be created and deployed on the web by reaching beyond what browsers could do. It has repeatedly served as a blueprint for standardizing new technologies in HTML.  Over the past two years, we’ve delivered Flash Player for mobile browsers and brought the full expressiveness of the web to many mobile devices.
However, HTML5 is now universally supported on major mobile devices, in some cases exclusively.  This makes HTML5 the best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms. We are excited about this, and will continue our work with key players in the HTML community, including Google, Apple, Microsoft and RIM, to drive HTML5 innovation they can use to advance their mobile browsers.
Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores.  We will no longer continue to develop Flash Player in the browser to work with new mobile device configurations (chipset, browser, OS version, etc.) following the upcoming release of Flash Player 11.1 for Android and BlackBerry PlayBook.  We will of course continue to provide critical bug fixes and security updates for existing device configurations.  We will also allow our source code licensees to continue working on and release their own implementations.
These changes will allow us to increase investment in HTML5 and innovate with Flash where it can have most impact for the industry, including advanced gaming and premium video.  Flash Player 11 for PC browsers just introduced dozens of new features, including hardware accelerated 3D graphics for console-quality gaming and premium HD video with content protection.  Flash developers can take advantage of these features, and all that our Flash tooling has to offer, to reach more than a billion PCs through their browsers and to package native apps with AIR that run on hundreds of millions of mobile devices through all the popular app stores, including the iTunes App Store, Android Market, Amazon Appstore for Android and BlackBerry App World.
We are already working on Flash Player 12 and a new round of exciting features which we expect to again advance what is possible for delivering high definition entertainment experiences.  We will continue to leverage our experience with Flash to accelerate our work with the W3C and WebKit to bring similar capabilities to HTML5 as quickly as possible, just as we have done with CSS Shaders.  And, we will design new features in Flash for a smooth transition to HTML5 as the standards evolve so developers can confidently invest knowing their skills will continue to be leveraged.
We are super excited about the next generations of HTML5 and Flash.  Together they offer developers and content publishers great options for delivering compelling web and application experiences across PCs and devices.  There is already amazing work being done that is pushing the newest boundaries, and we can’t wait to see what is still yet to come!

  • Printing problems with Flash Players 10.1 and 10.2

I'm having problems when printing "lengthy" reports under Flash Players 10.1 and 10.2. (By "lengthy" I mean 15+ pages, but it seems dependent on the content of the pages.)
Symptoms: On OS X with Safari (with debug Player 10.2) I get timeout errors. On Windows with IE (regular Flash Player 10.2), the system crawls to  almost a halt, heavy CPU and memory usage.   With Firefox on Windows, the Flash Player will crash. A user with Player 10.1 on Windows also reports The Flash Player crashing in Firefox (he has 8GB of RAM).
The reports print fine under Flash Player 10.0
There was an earlier post here about what seems like the same issue. (http://forums.adobe.com/message/3486765)
There is a bug report (https://bugs.adobe.com/jira/browse/FP-6087), but so far no response from Adobe.
I'm surprised about how few reports there are about the issue, which makes me think it may be my code. (But it worked under 10.0.)
I'd be interested to know if others are experiencing the problem.
Better still, if anyone has any tips on how to resolve the issue.

This is rediculous.  I have an application in use by thousands of students, and their teachers are supposted to be able to print login sheets for their classroom.  This was functioning fine for years, and now with the latest player upgrades, it's failing to print or printing only a few of the total pages.  I'm even seeing it print one additional page each time... first successfully printing 3 pages, then 4, then 5, when printing with adobe acrobat to PDF.  What happened?  What is this talk of timeouts when printing?  I'm not getting any error messages, it's just completing the file and displaying the PDF with only 4 of the 15 or 20 pages that Flash should have sent to the printer.

  • Apparently Firefox 3.6.4 has already been downloaded and now it wants me to downoad Flash Player 's newest version which is: 10.1 but it's not downloading on it's own. They suggested that I remove previous Abode Flash Players which I have now is: 1) Adobe

Earlier today Firefox was updated and downloaded. It is Firefox 3.6.4. But now it's asking that I download Adobe Flash Player 10.1. It wouldn't download on it's own, so they suggested that I remove the previous Flash Players which I only saw (2)two. The 1st one is: Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X. 2) Adobe Flash Player 10 Plug in. So, do I remove these two and then try to download Adobe Flash Player 10.1 again? Thank you and I sure hope you have an answer for me, because I don't know what to do. Flash player won't work or download. It says it no longer supports power pcs. I am running 10.5.8 on my ibook G4. Seem to have tried everything. i.e. chrome, firebird, archived flash players, etc. All not supported. Any insight??? It started when I tried to upgrade current flash player and it said I needed to uninstall current version, which I did, and then it wouldn't download the current one giving me the not supported story! Please help!!!!!!

Hi Andy, that is correct, they don't support PPC Macs anymore.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):
    http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/865/cpsid_86551.html#prob1=uninst,os=m10.6,
    Download this if you haven't...
    http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get/flashplayer/installers/archive/fp10.1.102.6 4_and_9.0.289.0archive.zip
Once downloaded if it doesn't unzip automatically the double click on that file.
Look for the fp10.1.102.64_and_9.0.289.0archive folder, open it, look for the Flash Player 10.1.102.64 folder & open and look for 101r10264 folder & open it, double click on the flashplayer101r102_64_ubmac.dmg file, choose the Install Adobe Flash Player file to install... they don't make it easy!

Simple answer: no.  As stated previously, there is no Flash for iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch (a.k.a. iOS devices.)
You can try other web browsers such as Skyfire and Puffin, which have limited support for Flash, but no guarantees.

We are facing issue in STOMP client because of newly
    implemented restriction on flash player.(

Because of this, Our STOMP client is not able to get messages

We have tried to add socket meta files as discussed in others
article but we were not able to get solutions.
    We have done below stuffs.
    1) Added LoadPolicy code in stompclient for getting
policyfile from server running on 80 port.
    2) Also set xmlSocket as load policy to get connection from
    stompclient to Activemq.
    1) PolicyFile.xml(loading this also in STOMPClient.swf)

  • Study source for 1Z0-051 exam Oracle11g SQL Fundamentals certification

    Greetings,
What are some good sources for this exam that are legit. I have the OCA/OCP Oracle Database 11g All-in-One Exam guide, read the whole section regarding SQL and have practiced the test questions until I scored 100% multiple times. Yet (with all humility), I failed the exam. I don't want to cheat and will keep trying until I pass it the right way! I'm going to keep studying the areas I need to really master., but I noticed that the real Exam was nothing like the practice exam. For me, the real exam was a lot trickier and there were a few questions that the book didn't cover. The guy working at the test center recommended testking but upon further research, some sites consider using testking as cheating. I have not purchased any new study guides and would like feedback to some legit study guides. Is the transcender study guide legit and worth it? Please pardon me if this question has been asked a dozen times. I will scour the forums for more info regarding this but also wanted some direct feedback.
    Thank you,
    A mon

A monI was going to say possibly the cheapest way is buy the sybex Book : ISBN-13: 9780470395127 which is like the Watson Book ... but it isn't that cheap andalso coves 1z0-052 which you don't need.
( Selftest Sofware is reputed to be good, Transcender a little better (they are both Kaplan Brans and overlap common material). Ucertify may be cheapter but quality may be less. And make sure you get the right site and not a phishing link pretending to be them.
.... wsa it you who i said to try the exam and see where you were really at ? .. if so sorry and better luck next time. Perhaps though it is an opportunity to revise study technique.

.... Doing your own flash cards and notes can be useful.
I always regard practice questions as precious and leave it as late as possible in study before doing questions.
(If you must peek ahead choose a chapter just before half way through the book and do end of chapter questions for that only).
But I won't even do end of chapter practice questions until I think I know the whole exam topics and have notes on all the material.
Only when I think I know it all will I do even end of chapter questions.
And I wont do them if I have read up on the topics during the day. I will wait until the next day.
And after doing end of chapter results I re-read the chapter and topics and practice. But I wont redo those questions for a few days
And only when I get good enough practice score from the chapter do I take a full practice test.
Basic principle is concentrate on learning and use the precious study ids to fill the gaps. It's a little slower getting there that way but these is more chance of a pass.

  • Zen Micro Charger - for times when you aren't near a power source for day

Hi All ... now this may seem like a strange request and i'm not sure whether it would be possible but here goes..
As a traveller around the world there is many the time when i am away from a power source for a number of days maybe 5. This means i would either have to carry alot of precharged batteries around or to find another way to charge up my Micro battery/s.
With this in mind i was thinking ... could i use any other method to charge my battery (being as there is no power source available .. including a laptop) So could i build a solar panel of some description ? Could i create a charger using Ordinary Alkaline batterys ... Any suggestions?
I'll probably have to buy 5 or more batteries in the end .. but it was just a thought.
Thanks in advance for any ideas you may have.

interesting topic, other then camping, i can't see a time, for me at least, where this would be relevant, but a solar charger sounds like an interesting idea none the less. this is the time i bring along my minidisc player that uses AA batteries of which i have an infinite supply :smileyvery-happy: Other then that, i have this tire inflater that has a built in recharable 2v battery. the nice thing about it is it has a cigarette lighter type DC jack on it. i haven't tried it to charge but i'm sure if you got a DC - USB charger it could work (on a camping type expedition that is, you wouldn't want to drag it onto a train)
which brings me to another point, why is is that most portable players have to use some proprietary battery format? i know that SIZE is prolly the *biggest* reason but i just don't understand why you can't build a small player that runs on something standard like AA or AAAs. i don't mind having an extra battery around but at $40 or so per battery, there ain't no way i'm buying like 5 or 6 batteries. sheesh!

  • Are there any other flash players that you can use on Safari other than Adobe

Are there any other flash players that you can use on Safari other than Adobe?

Not as far as I am aware.
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:
    http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFl ash
You can check here:  http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/  to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS The latest version, 10.2.152.25 or later, is for Intel Macs only, as Adobe no longer support the PPC platform. Note that the latest Flash Player update only works on YouTube with Safari in 32 bit mode - until YouTube correct this.

  • Searching for flash based forums, or a way to load forums into flash ?

Im searching for flash based forums, or a way to load forums into flash ? i found this
    http://activeden.net/item/flash-forum/52576?page=1
Any ideas or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

You can load the raw html - if flash is told (e.g. via
flashvars) the url of the page that you want (its available in
flash as what you would think of as the browser's 'view source'
style plain text) with either as2 or as3.
But you can't do full browser-style rendering of the content
because flash just can't do all that. You could parse the raw html
(probably a custom parser as I think the internal xml parser might
choke on some of the tags in html that are not closed such as
<br> etc) and just pick out bits of text or images that you
could display but you can't achieve an embedded browser.
Adobe's AIR might be more what you want - it has embedded
browser support- but it doesn't run inside a browser like flash.

Then when i get into digital editions page and through the flash player download the digital editions, i get the message "download error"?
What kind of crappy service are you guys running here?
Do you idiots ever have the basic intelligence to at least make sure that one can at least download the digital editions without going through the flash players?

I am having the same issue. I purchased an ebook knowing I had adobe on my computer. The book needs the digital edition to run and for some unknown to me reason flash doesn't work on my internet explorer and I've tried on netscape where flash works but the download stalls and I don't know if its actually doing anything or not. No security warnings pop up or anything. I've been trying for hours to get it to work...and now thinking I wasted the money on my book. I run vista on a new computer and cannot download the Digital Edition and no clue how to make it work. Is there a way to download it manually onto my desktop where I can install it from there?? skipping flash and java and all that stuff totally? I've been looking and haven'tt found it.
    Thanks.

  • Do the new versions of IPad support flash players?

I really like the IPad am in need of another mobile device but many programs require a flash player to view them. Do the new ones or the Mac books support Adobe Flash Players?

Adobe has not made a version of Flash for the iPad.
    Kappy explains why. https://discussions.apple.com/message/19446567#19446567
