First, you need to be able to boot from the Recovery HD:
    Boot Using Command+R keys:
      1. Restart the computer.
      2. Immediately after the chime press and hold down the
"COMMAND" and the "R" keys together.
      3. Release the keys when the Utilities Menu appears.
Once at the Utilities Menu select Terminal from the Utilities menu in the screen's menubar. Now, you need to know where these new files are located. You move to any location using the 'cd' command such as cd /Users/user_name/Documents, then press RETURN. Replace user_name with your actual username. Next you need to do a directory listing to see if your files are in that location, Documents. Use ls -al to do a directory listing of the files and folders in Documents. If you find your new files there, then connect an external drive or flash drive. You will need to know the name you have assigned to this drive. It needs to be already formatted. Copy your files using cp /Documents/filename /Volumes/volname/filename. Replace volname and filename with those that apply. Press RETURN.
Or take it to your local Apple Store and see if they can do the chore for you.

    Did
you copy over from a 7.0 domain? It looks like the EJB was built on
    a
previous version of WLS, or has not had "ejbc" run on it prior to

  • How to extract Source from  .wda file

    Hi WebDynpro Experts,
Do you know how to extract source from .wda file. I appreciate your help and will award points for correct answers.
    Thank you
    Maruti CR

    Hi,
U wont be able to extract source code from wda file.It contains
only class, xml and mf  files. The only thing that u would be able
to use is class file which u need to convert to .java file
    by .class to .java converter.
Hope this will clear ur doubt.Still if u want to try just extract
wda file using winzip.go on doing this untill u find unzip files.

  • How to build project in NWDS from ear file?

I do know that it maynot be possible to build a project from a .ear file but I am sure there must be a way out. I am sure someone else would have faced the same problem that I am facing.
This is what happened. We had a consultant working on our ESS/MSS appplications in the studio. He made changes to a few ESS/MSS applications. However, while deploying, he did not use NWDI even though we do have NWDI available. He simply imported the .ear files in all the development, quality and production portals. Because of this, the changed source code is not available on NWDI and when I import the configuration from NWDI, I only get the old source code.
I do have al the .ear files he deployed. So, my question is, is there anyway for me to build the project from the .ear file? I do know how to decompile the CLASS files on the ear file and look at the code but I was hoping for a way to build the entire project with the changed source code in NWDS. Or Is there anyway to synchronize the NWDI source code with the deployed source code. Please respond ONLY if you have actually managed to resolve this problem.

    Hi Santosh,
This is hardly possible even if you have Java decompiler -- WD has a lot compile(design)-time only artifcats that are not exist in generated EAR.

    Vipin.

  • Extracting from EAR file

    Hello Experts,
Right now we are on EP6 upgraded to EP7
    I have a modified sap.comessus.ear file from EP6.
But, we lost  the source code on the track and track itself during upgrade to NWDI.
Is there anyway to get the source code from this EAR file. Or any way we can deploy this ear file on different J2ee engine. So, we can run it on our new portal.
    your help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    James

    Hi James,
the developer chose to keep or not the source class into .ear file.
So you can unzip the .ear  file (using WinRar), in this way you will be able to see the folder structure and various files, you will see a lot of .class file that are binary class and if you are lucky you can find a lot of .java files. Open the .java files with a txt editor like notepad, this is the source code.
    Hope this help you.
    Regars,
    Vito

  • How to create a PAR file from EAR file

    Hi,
I have created an Web Dynpro Application . When i deploy it in Remote J2EE Engine, it will deploy as EAR file. It then runs as normal Web Application in Web browser. My requirement is to create an iView for my Web dynpro appn in EP. That is possible only by creating a PAR file. so How to create an PAR file from EAR in NWDS(NetWeaver Developer Studio).
How to access the EAR file in NWDS or J2EE ?
    Thanks in Advance ,
    By
    Saravanan

    Hi,
    To create a iview,
log on to portal, New iView and select SAP webdynpro iview.
It will ask for namespace which is usually , local/Project Name
and application name is the name of the application.
We dont have to create par file for this requirement

  • How to extract XML from EAR file?

how to Extract weblogic-application.xml file from StellentPortlets.ear file ???

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EAR_(file_format)
An EAR file is a standard JAR file (and therefore a Zip file) with a .ear extension, with one or more entries representing the modules of the application, and a metadata directory called META-INF which contains one or more deployment descriptors.
7zip is a nice tool for me but most any should be usable.

  • GetRealPath from ear-file

Will calling servletContext.getRealPath(.....) allways return null when
called from servlets deployed in an EAR-file or WAR-file ?
              (wls 6.1)

Too bad it doesn't use the standard ! format for exposing things inside the
              EAR ... Java supports it.

    Hello,
You should type JAVA_CLASS and JAVA_SOURCE (use underscore instead of space).

  • Class file missing from war file deployment

I have a web application that is being deployed to a war file. I have deployed several times successfully. Then with the latest changes, there is a class file that does not get included into the war file. It does get compiled and does exist in the project directory.
The class file is in a seperate project from the project where the war file deployment profile is; however both projects are in the same workspace.
There are several other classes in the project that contains the missing class file that does get included in the war file. I don't see anywhere in the profile where these files are selected individually.
I'm at a loss as to how to fix this problem other than add the file after deployment.
    Appreciate any help or ideas...

  • How to use Connection Pool in ADF ear file creaion from jDev 10.1.3

    Hi,
We are developing big application in ADF with 10 different modules. We are creating ear file with data source setting.
How to use connection pool while creating ear file from jDev. Connection pool is alreday created in Application Server 10g.
What all the setting we need do to make use of connection pool while creating ear file jDev.
    Thanks

    User,
If you are using ADF Business Components, you can right-click each application module, select "configurations" and edit the configuration you are using. On the initial page of the configuration dialog, you can specify to use either a JDBC URL or a Datasource - you just need to choose Datasource and then provide the name by which to access it.
