Source List in RFQ

Greetings, I want to maintain the source list from the RFQ level, before it reaches the PO stage, pls help

I am also having the same requirement. Tried for finding out BAdi or user exit for the same but nothing is working for me.
If anyone can guide me for that, then it would be great help to me.

Selection of vendor in RFQ from source list

Hi,
I want to use source list in RFQ.While creating RFQ for a material,system should give the list of sources which now I am able to see in the enviornment tab but iam not able to select by means of double clicking or any other means.Is there any way to select multiple vendors from the source list tab and generate RFQ's against the selected vendors

I had also come across the Similar requirement. After much R&D I found that this is not possible.
You ave to enter the Vendor code manually.

Source List Mandatory at RFQ level

Dear SAP MM Gurus,
We want to make source list mandatory at RFQ level. In standard, it's not possible.
I have also found out one thread on SDN, but there isn't any satisfactoy answer for it.
I have also tried to find out BADI / User exit for ME41. There are so many user exits, but none of them is workfing for my requirement.
I have tried function module - EXIT_SAPMM06E_012, but for this when i activate user exit, system gives error for "Dynpro not found".
Any help in this regard will be highly appreciated.

Thanks for your reply.
My requirement is like this:
In t code ME41,when I am creating an RFQ, I will enter vendor code and then i will press "SAVE".
I want system to check for Vendor entered at the time of "SAVE". If vendor is maintained in source list, then only system should allow creation of RFQ.
If vendor is not maintained in source list, system should give error saying that "Please maintain source list, first" and RFQ should not be created.

If your RFQ is get rejected for that vendor ,then why you want maintain source list for that
i think its very difficult to maintain by source list ,you have to give manually
you can check how many valid source you have for your material and plant in t-code ME05 choose from there and give manually in RFQ

RFQ is vendor selection process where you are requesting the suppliers to send their quotation for a particular requirement based on the quotation received you will select the vendor by comparing the price & terms, conditions etc.
Once the vendor is confirmed as source os supply source list will be maintained to assist the external procurement.
Source list is to maintain the source of supply ( vendor ) for a particular Material & Plant after the vendor selection is carried out.
For example if you want to create a PR thru MRP the vendor will be picked from Source list automatically to the PR based on the settings in source list.

Why PR department can see invited vendor list for RFQ

I found that PR department can see invited vendor list for RFQ in PR Document Status tab. In my company, invited vendor list should be kept confidential and only authorized persons can access. As PR authorizatin control is not down to PR creator, this information may be disclosed to other non-related persons wihtin same purhasing group. In SAP, I would like to know the rationale to let the PR department know the RFQ vendors. Moerover, I want to understand the current industrial practice on treating RFQ vendor list information so that I can make recommendation for senior review. Thanks in advance

You issue well explained the 50% of solution. As you said importance for all organization to have secured and efficient authorization concept. Based on organizational structures and business processes an authorization matrix( is just working sheet) is very useful for to control all t.codes under Module / Business role specific.
For example:
Purchase Requisition (internal purchasing document) is a request by any department to purchasing department to supply material or provides service. Only here user(Mr.X) in department create PR(ME51N) and Department head (Mr.Y) release (ME54N)the Purchase Requisition(PR). For change PR , you can use Mr.X and you can have another User ID Mr.Z { Mr.X, Mr.Y & Mr.Z should not have access for RFQ or PO details}
Once Purchase Requisition released, then its responsibility purchasing organisation or respective purchasing group (buyer) , start work on determining source by sending Request for quotation(RFQ,ME41) to different vendors by Mr.A. Once all quotation received, you can maintain quotation in ME47 by user Mr.B. In vendor selection process, you can compare quotation in ME49 by user Mr.C.( also you can set approval process for Request for quotation ME45 by Mr.D) {Mr.A, Mr.B,Mr.C,Mr.D may have access on PR but no access on PO)
Once Vendor decided, user (Mr.E) can create Purchase Order (PO )and then it will be released by Mr.F, so then only PO print send to vendor. {Mr.E & Mr.F have access on PR & PO}
Likewise you should have different users for authorisation based on role in inventory management ( Mr. G can receive goods, Mr.H can have authorisation for Excises, Mr.J can have issuing goods)

Source determination during RFQ

Dear friends,
We used to maintain source of vendors for the list if service activities.
We have errection and commisssioning services,for which some of the activities are there.
For all errection and commisssioning services,we have got 20 vendors are there.
Every time we need to send the quotations for all the 20 vendors for floating the enquiry for errection and commisssioning services.
Can we maintain the source liast for these 20 vendors for errection and commisssioning services main activity and while doing RFQ(ME41),How to send to all those vendors automatically .
In ME41 How to link to all these vendors.
Please suggest.
IF standard is not there how to make a logic for the above scenario,

I think its possible, try in this way... maintaine source list of that material with all 20 vendors. Maintaine inforecord with all vendors. Now create a PR of that material by assigning the source of supply. Save the PR and go to RFQ to create with reference to PR.

My ipod touch is not showing up on the source list

My iPod Touch is not showing up on the source list. I have tried to restore the ipod, i have uninstalled, reinstalled, and used the repair option in the control panel to no avail. I am currently useing the latest version of Windows 8 on an Asus VivoBook. What can i do to fix the problem?

Doesn't Stay in Source List

The nano doesn't stay in the iTunes source list, so I can only mess around with the settings while it's connected. With previous iPods the icon and options remained even when the iPod was disconnected. Am I missing an option box, or did they change something in iTunes 5?

I remember this feature being available only for the iPod Shuffle, and not any of the other iPods.

I cannot download photos from my digital camera to Iphoto (version '09). I have been able to successfully do this up to 4 days ago but not yesterday. My camera/device is recognized in the Source List but photos won't download for me to import to library.

I cannot download photos from my digital camera (via a cable) to Iphoto (version '09). I have been able to do this successfully up til 4 days ago but not yesterday (Dec. 25th). My camera/device is recognized in the Source List, but when it tries to download the photos, all I get are the words "Loading Photos" in the area where the thumbnail pictures usually display. The little "gear" symbol next to the words but it just goes round and round. Nothing ever downloads, and instead of showing me how many pictures there are to import it just says "No photos". So therefore I cannot import the photos to my library since they won't even download.
I was getting an error message a few days ago that my Iphoto library was getting full, so I emptied my trash in both Iphoto and on my computer. I had this same problem back in October and emptying the trash and getting rid of some photos did help (can I really be using that much storage space for the pictures?). But it didn't help this time.
Any suggestions as to what to do to solve the problem? I would try taking the SD card out and inserting that into the slot on the computer to see if I could load pictures that way; but the last time I did that, they wouldn't load. Not sure if I lost pics from the disc or not.

1. You did not get an error message telling you that your iPhoto library was getting full. You got a message telling you that your HD was getting full, right?
OS X needs about 10 gigs of hard drive space for normal OS operations - things like virtual memory, temporary files and so on.
Without this space your Mac will slow down as the OS hunts for space on the disk, files will be fragmented, also slowing things down, apps will crash and the risk of data corruption - that is damage to your files, photos, music - increases exponentially.
Your first priority is to make more space on that HD. Nothing else can be done until you do.
Purchase an external HD and move your Photos and Music to it. Both iPhoto and iTunes can run perfectly well with the Library on an external disk.
Your Library has been damaged from being run on an overfull disk.
How much free space on it now?

I am sorry but the vendor name cannot be displayed in this or any other T-code.
Or you can select the Vendor code for which you want to see the vendor name and clik on the Vendor tab above.

My ipod was sst up/registered using my mac computer. Unfortunately, it was plugged into a pc and all my songs, pics, etc were erased. Now when i plug it into my mac to sync it, my ipod doesn't even show up in the source list. I can't restore it. Any ideas

When I plugged my ipod into my mac to sync it again, it wouldn't even appear in the source list. I can't even click on it to restore it. It's simply not there. Any ideas on how I can get it to appear in my source list and sync it again using my mac? Suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

ME05 How to schedule source list job with steps?

Can someone please give me instructions on how to create source list ME05 in background using "Steps"? I know how to create a background job in ME05 but need to have several jobs run back to back in the middle of the night. I am reluctant to shedule them at different times and would prefer to use the "Steps" function. Thanks for your input!

Steps:
First create variant for the report in normal execution mode (to provide input selection parameters in backgrpund)
1. Transaion code SM36
Give Job name you want created (Give some meaningful name) and Press enter
2. Give the ABAP program name
3. Select variant and save the selections
4. Come back to initial screen , select the Start condition button and provide the interval as per requirement to schedule the job and save.
5. Save the job.
Check the Job in SM37 and relase the Job.

How can I reset the settings for my Ipod Video on the Ipod source list.

I accidentally choose the 3rd option (do not update video) on the Ipod option button >>> video <<< and for that reason I can't download or play video. How can I reset the setting in order for me to enable to update my Ipod for the videos manualy.
