  • Source system icons changes when connecting SAP BW to mySAP ERP 2004

    Hi,
    Just an Interesting observation in relation to the creation of source systems in SAP BW to SAP Web AS 6.40 based systems (mySAP ERP 2004, mySAP SRM, etc).
    I thought it would be interesting to share!
    The behavior is logical but can be a surprise for a BW administrator who is not aware of the new internal SAP BW systems within mySAP ERP 2004.
    Scenario:
    The customer was connecting a stand-alone BW system to two new systems with latest and greatest mySAP ERP 2004 (ECC 5.00) and mySAP SRM.
    Observation:
    In the past the SAP R/3 source system would be created with a "SAP R/3 icon" indicating a SAP Source system.
    <b>As of mySAP ERP 2004, the source systems will be created in the SAP BW standalone system with the "SAP BW System icon".</b>
    Note: This is also the same behavior for new releases of mySAP SRM, and other SAP applications that are <u>based on SAP Web AS 6.40 or greater</u>
    Why?:
    The standalone SAP BW system is connecting to a system that contains an internal SAP BW system. The standalone SAP BW system determines that it is possible to extract <u>both</u> from the internal BW System <b>and</b> from the Plug-in extractors. It simply denotes that this source system is a SAP BW system and uses the BW Source system icon. (Remember SAP BW is client independent*!).
    Note: This behavior will still occur even if you do not use the internal SAP BW system within mySAP ERP! It is there whether you use it or not.
    Second Note: You can still use the ERP Content extractors from the mySAP ERP Source System as you did in prior releases.
    Another related observation:
    I would expect that this case will probably be true even if you only use the internal SAP BW.
    Scenario: You use the internal SAP BW in another client in the mySAP ERP system than your ERP processing.
    Result: The connection between the BW client and the ERP client source system(s) (i.e. client 001 for ERP, client 100 for BW), both the 'myself' and ERP client source systems, will show up as BW source systems!
    Source system 001 and source system 100 will be displayed as SAP BW icons because SAP BW is client independent*
    user master and authorizations are client dependent
    I hope this was interesting.
    Cheers,
    Mike.

    Hello,
    I used my user id to login. I recieved a message :
    User already exists in source system  I continue:

    'RFC connection already exists in source system . Do you want to check, use or cancel source system connection'
    Here I select Use - but i get an error : Error in source system'.

  • Get JPG save as source folder icon ?

    I posed this in scripting but might be more suitable in this forum.
    Hello Everyone,
    I would like to use a script to set the source folder icon by selecting an image.
    after much searching i found this. (but it's to long of GUI process)
    This one worked perfectly!
    --CODE (for AppleScript Studio script)
    set srcpath to POSIX path of (choose file with prompt "Choose source image file.")
    set dstpath to POSIX path of (choose folder with prompt "Choose target folder.")
    --set dstpath to dstpath's text 1 thru -2 -- remove last slash if necessary.
    setIcon(srcpath, dstpath)
    on setIcon(srcpath, dstpath)
    set nsimg to load image srcpath
    set nswks to call method "sharedWorkspace" of class "NSWorkspace"
    set r to call method "setIcon:forFile:options:" of nswks with parameters {nsimg, dstpath, 0}
    delete nsimg
    return r
    end setIcon
    --END OF CODE
    I don't want to interact with it. Just a simple CTRL click (Contextual Menu Item).
    Currently have no Idea where to go with this. Any Thought?

    If you're open to the idea of using GUI scripting, you might try creating an Automator workflow comprised of a single action: *Run AppleScript* (from the Automator library).
    Replace the pre-populated text in the Run AppleScript action's text area with the script below:
    *on run {input, parameters}*
    *tell application "Finder"*
    *set theSelection to selection as alias*
    *set theImage to choose file with prompt "Choose source image file." without invisibles*
    *tell application "Preview" to activate*
    *tell application "Preview" to open theImage*
    *tell application "System Events"*
    *tell process "Preview"*
    *keystroke "c" using command down*
    *end tell*
    *tell application "Preview" to quit*
    *delay 1 -- adjust as needed*
    *set theFolder to theSelection*
    *tell application "Finder"*
    activate
    *reveal theFolder*
    *end tell*
    *tell process "Finder"*
    *keystroke "i" using command down*
    *keystroke tab*
    *keystroke "v" using command down*
    *keystroke "w" using command down*
    *delay 1 -- adjust as needed*
    *keystroke "w" using command down*
    *end tell*
    *end tell*
    *end tell*
    *return input*
    *end run*
    From Automator's File menu choose Save As Plug-in > Plug-in for: Finder, and give it a name such as "Set Folder Image."
    To invoke the action, right-click or Control-click on a desired source folder and select the "Set Folder Image" plug-in from the contextual menu, under Automator. When the Choose-a-File dialog appears, navigate to the desired image file, select it, and press Choose.
    Note that as GUI scripting is used here, you'll need to make sure that under System Preferences > Universal Access, "Enable access for assistive devices" is checked.
    If you find that the script stalls before Preview quits, or if the two Finder windows which are meant to open fail to close before the workflow completes, try increasing the delay times where indicated.
    The plug-in worked for me in Tiger; untested in Leopard, your results may vary... Good luck.

  • After latest iPhoto update source list icons have no color

    After updating iPhoto with the latest software updates, the icons in the source list have lost their color. This happened on both my MacBook Pro and iMac. I have iLife 11.

  • IPhoto 9.6 Source List icons

    Running Yosemite 10.10.1 with iPhoto v 9.6 on my iMac and i've noticed the icons within the left pane Source List (e.g.the Library Events palm tree icon) are not rendered in color but are b&w.
    Might anyone know of a setting such that these icons are rendered in color?
    thanks in advance.

    There is no help for it.
    Which iPhoto version did you upgrade from?
    iPhoto '11 went all gray three years ago, with the 9.1.5 compatibility update for Mac OS X 10.7, when Apple introduced the new colourless GUI.  Some of the frequent posters here like it, because the colors of the icons  in the toolbar and source list do not distract from the colors in the photos, but it makes the icons harder to recognise on a small display.
    You cannot enable the colorful icons again short of replacing all tiff images for buttons etc inside the iPhoto application bundle. That would be risky and had to be done over and over again, with each update.

  • POWL, how to display icons

    I've already seen some questions on this forum about displaying icons in POWL lists. However i cannot get this to work, as it seems so easy to do... Simply changing the fieldcat does not work for me.
    I have created a feeder class and implemented the powerlist in my webdynpro, now i would like to create a column with status icons. See the coding, who knows what is missing/wrong?
    Documentation for the POWL says:
    ICON_SRC             Source for icon display
    ICON_SRC_REF     outtab column reference determining icon source
    ICON_FIRST             Icon positioning
    ICON_FIRST_REF     outtab column reference for icon positioning
    Field definition in structure:
    ICON                type ICON_D
    ICONNAME      type ICONNAME
    In Method GET_FIELD_CATALOG, the following code:
        ls_fieldcat-colid = 'ICON'.
        ls_fieldcat-icon_src_ref  = 'ICONNAME'.
        INSERT ls_fieldcat INTO TABLE me->mt_fieldcatalog.
        e_fieldcat_changed = 'X'.
        c_fieldcat = me->mt_fieldcatalog.
    In Method GET_OBJECTS
      loop at lt_orders assigning <ls_orders>.
    *.... code to change iconname
        <ls_orders>-iconname = '@08@'.      "Also tried 'ICON_GREEN_LIGHT' here
        append <ls_orders> to me->mt_result.
      endloop.
      e_results = me->mt_result.

    Hi Michel,
    I think everything looks Ok, can you check the field catalog settings of your ALV. It is in IF_POWL_FEEDER~GET_FIELD_CATALOG, of your POWL feeder class.
    The changing parameter c_fieldcat, you need to set the Field catalog for the column 'ICON' .
    DATA ls_filedcatalog TYPE LINE OF POWL_FIELDCAT_STY.
    Set the parameter as below.
      DATA ls_fildcat TYPE POWL_FIELDCAT_STY.
      ls_fildcat-colid = 'ICON'.
      ls_fildcat-colpos = 'COL_NO'. "Column Number
      ls_fildcat-Header = 'Rating'.
      ls_fildcat-display_type = 'IM'. " for Image (Important)
      ls_fildcat-eabled = 'X'.
      ls_fildcat-icon_src_ref = 'REF'.  " The Reference field of the POWL atble data in which the icon path or name is populated
      ls_fildcat-icon = 'ICON_LED_RED'.  " use only one of these two, icon-src_ref or icon
      APPEND ls_fildcat TO c_fieldcat.
    I hope this should work, if the changes doesn't reflect then claear the cache of POWL  using report POWL_d01.
    Please let me know in case if you still face any issue.
    Regards
    Vineet

  • Icon for file created by an app

    I have an app, created with XDroplets, that launches IDLE to create Python scripts and the app has an icon that's different from IDLE's icon. I would like for the scripts created with IDLE *launched with this particular app* to have an icon that's different from the default system wide Python source file icon. How can I do this?

    I think the answer lies buried deep inside some plist
    file associated with the application.
    You're right. Icons for document types created by an application can be specified in the Info.plist found in the application bundle. Xcode gives you a GUI for setting up the Info.plist entries but I suppose you could edit the Info.plist file directly.
    See the Property List Key Reference that describes Info.plist entries. In particular you'll want to look at the CFBundleDocumentTypes array and the description of the keys contained within it.
    For a "real life" example you may also want to look inside another application bundle to see how it's Info.plist is set up. TextEdit, for example, defines several document types in it's Info.plist.

  • Unable to view Single Source WebHelp properties, how to correct?

    I am unable to view my Primary Layout single source webhelp properties in RH9.  Several of the single source layout icons have "?" marks on them.   How do I correct this?   Thanks.

    Hi Folks
    If you ever noticed, the question mark is more of a standard symbol for "Help". Because RoboHelp is a help authoring tool, many of the icons sport a question mark. As Willam indicated, it doesn't mean that something is amiss, unfinished or undefined. Instead, it is simply the icon that represents the layout.
    If you look in your Windows file system at any CHM file (a standard Windows help file) you will notice that it too has a question mark.
    And the older WinHelp (.HLP) format (Pre-Windows 95) was a blue circle with a question mark:

  • Rendering issue on click of image icon

    Hi Team,
    I had a requirement like on click of image some text needs to be shown in one window. Again on second click of the image the window needs to be closed. So i had thought of using adf image component and on click of it we can call popup..also listnere method to make the popup to be shown or not.Please find the below code.
    Jsp:
    <af:image id="hepId" source="/help-icon.png" shortDesc="this is help text" attributeChangeListener="#{backingBeanScope.backing_helpiconclick.eventMethod}" >
    <af:showPopupBehavior popupId=":helpTextPopup" triggerType="click" align="endAfter"/>
    </af:image>
    <!-- <af:commandImageLink id="imageId" shortDesc="this is help text" icon="/help-icon.png" actionListener="#{backingBeanScope.backing_helpiconclick.eventMethod}" partialSubmit="true">
    <af:showPopupBehavior popupId=":helpTextPopup" triggerType="click" align="endAfter"/>
    </af:commandImageLink> -->
    <af:popup id="helpTextPopup" launcherVar="source" contentDelivery="lazyUncached"
    eventContext="launcher" rendered="#{backingBeanScope.backing_helpiconclick.popFlag}">
    <af:noteWindow id="nw1" >
    <af:panelBox id="popId">
    this is heptext</af:panelBox>
    </af:noteWindow>
    </af:popup>
    BackingBean:
    public void eventMethod(AttributeChangeEvent ace){
    // public void eventMethod(ActionEvent ace){
    System.out.println("popflag value" + popFlag);
    if(popFlag == true){
    popFlag = false;
    }else if (popFlag == false){
    popFlag = true;
    I tried using af:image and attributeChangeListener but the method was not calling when i click on image. If i use commandImageLink, everytime the popup rendering value was coming the same even though i change the value in listener method.
    Thanks in Advance for your help.
