Source System of Dev System is not active QAS System.

I am trying to transport my SAP-BI flow from Dev System to the Quality System.
but I am getting an error "Source System of Dev system is not active in QualIty System.
I have checked RFC Connection ,everything is fine.Please help.

Have you checked the mapping of the source systems in the conversion table (RSLOGSYSMAP)?
Usually, DEV source systems are not available in QA, so when you transport to DEV, the source system assignment has to be changed to a QA source system.
For example, source system CRDCLNT100 (CRM DEV system) is connected to BWDCLNT100 (BW Dev)
and CRTCLNT100 is connect to BWTCLNT100.
Objects in BWD which are assigned to CRD, have to be re-assigned to the CRT source system when transporting them from BWD to BWT.
The mapping table is maintained in RSA1, menu option tools > 'mapping of the source system names'.

All connections via SM and satellite system are view RFCs.
In SM, you will have 3-4 RFCs trusted/read/ etc pointing to satellite sm.
in satellite, you will have one RFC to SM called back RFC generally with name - Solution Manager created during SMSY configuration in SM.
Do a test for Connection/Authorization etc for all the RFC's which if fine then the connection is good..

I purchased a prepaid 12 month Photoshop card. The system says my card is not activated

I purchased a 12 month Photoshop CC from McShark in Vienna. I have tried a number of times to enter the pass code on the back of the card, but the system will not accept my card but says it is not activated. As a result I am not able to download Photoshop which I purchased on 17 December

CC is Creative Cloud subscription software there is no pass code. You need to have a subscription. To Activate Photoshop you would install Photoshop CC or newer CC 2014. Start Photoshop and use menu Help>Sign In. Then enter your Adobe User ID that has the subscription and also enter your Password... Or you can download The Creative Cloud Desktop Application start it and sign in then use its Application installer to install Photoshop it will install activated. It take quite a bit of time for Photoshop download is near 1GB.

ARD 3 'not active' despite System Preferences saying it is!

The setup - a network of 54 Macs of various configurations on a Windows 2003 network running 10.3.9 have ARD 3 installed. All is well.
The change - due to a Microsoft patch on our network, we were forced to upgrade to Tiger. We purchased 10.4.6 on DVD from CDW and installed. But 10.4.6 is problematic with Adobe CS - so we were forced to downgrade to 10.4.5
The problem - after this downgrade to 10.4.5, we made sure ARD was still turned on in the System Preferences. But when I look with the application, every single one says the ARD is not activated!
What do I have to do to get them back?

No, all the of the users were active.
Despite the OS reinstall putting ARD 2.2 back into the system, ARD wasn't active. So I went back into the Previous system and found the ARDAgent that was removed by the reinstall. I copied the RemoteManagement folder from the System/Library/CoreServices folder and replaced the new RemoteManagement folder that had been recreated.
Voila - ARD is working perfectly again.
So because I had ARD 3 installed, when we did the OS reinstall it put in ARD 2.2 which my ARD software couldn't recognize anymore. It didn't even recognize that it was 2.2 - just said ARD not active. I replaced the 2.2 ARDAgent with the 3 ARDAgent from the Previous system folder and all is well.

Why is the mouse not active in system preferences?

When attempting to configure a blue tooth mouse, something happened to the wired mouse. I went to system preferences, click on mouse and got no response. Also the original colnfiguration (I'm left handed and switched buttons) appeared. The mouse works out of system preferences, but the buttons are erratic. I did a (1)reset with a simple power off using the button on the back; no change; (2) after powering off again, I upplugged the iMac for AC and removed all periperals from the computer. Then powered up again; no change. Am not willing to continue without some advice from the experts. My protection plan has expired.

Sounds weird. Have you repaired the disk permissions? Maybe USB-ports have wrong permissions in /dev.
As you cannot use mouse, open Terminal (Command - Space, type in Terminal, Enter) and type command:
diskutil repairPermissions /

delete from usr02 where bname = 'SAP*' and mandt = <client>
set "login/no_automatic_user_sapstar = 0" in your instance profile
restart the server
login with sap* and password pass

Gone live in feb 08.
Not activated information system in COPA.
If they activate now in AUG 08. whether standard SAP CO Reports will pick up data from FEB 08 .

For me, it looks that you have gone live with COPA sans COPA Reports. If it is so, all data might have gone to COPA from Feb 08 onwards. Check the records in the table CE1XXXX where XXXX stands for your operating concern thru SE11/SE16.

Task is overdue in Task List - Task not active

Hello together,
in our Solution Manager are several tasks in one system which are overdue but not active. So, after I've done all tasks i can't check the system as done.
Which Job is responsive for updating the task list, or how can i reset the task list.

In RSA1 check for your CRM source system and do a check on the source system whether it connected with BW system or not.
RSA1-->Source Systems and right click on CRM Source System name and check. This check shoul be active, if not contact concerned person.

ALE Change Pointers in source system not active

Hi All,
I am trying to load 0COSTELMNT using deltas. The initial load is OK and then i use a delta and it fails and i get the error:
"ALE Change Pointers in source system not active"
I have carried out the following steps in an attempt to resolve the problem - but it didnt. Anyone have any advice??
(1) Checked BD61 to confirm whether the change pointers are active
(2) Checked BDCP to confirm the number range is maintained
(3) Checked SALE (Activate change pointers for message types) to confirm whether the change pointer has been activated for the type we need:
COCOKA Control segment CO object/cost element
COELEM Cost element master data
(4) In transaction snum, Selected number ranges and confirmed the intervals are setup

If you are transferring master data from source system, the BD61 setting on the source system should be checked.
Why it has been unchecked - not sure (likely someone did it by mistake).
It shouldn't have any effect on txnl delta. What will be effected though is that you will have lost delta of the ALE based data sources for the period this setting was unchecked.

Source system not Active error while installing BI content cube

When I try to install the BI content cube, In logs it is showing the error message as "Source client not Active". I activated the source system in modelling tab. Still the problem continues. In source system assignment of BI content the source client is also checked. Please give me a solution.

If you want to select only infocube, select "Only necessary objects" in grouping. If you want everything related to Info cube, then system will collect data source also and for that it will check if you are authorized in source system. Please check if the source system is connected to BI or you can do one thing activate the data source in source system and replicate it in BI.

Change source system in Dev

I have a dev system that is mapped to 2 source systems, R/3 clients (clients 245 and 246) and datasources are mapped to either of these systems. One of these R/3 clients (245) has now been deleted and I want to convert all of the datasources that pointed to it to the new client (246). I want to convert only the datasources pointing to the old client (245), but not change those that are already pointing to the new client (246). Would BDLS help in this situation.

you can do these:
1 ) change in SM59, the source r/3 qlty to point to your dev server. That should do the trick without making a lot of changes. once you change the source system via this option, you have to perform a check/restore (so that the partner profile in dev system can be updated), replication and activation of the transfer structures.
2) You can also ask your BASIS guy to run program for BDLS that changes the system pointer.

Source system 8(ODS name) does not exist

U cannot Transport it........First Right click on the Infoprovider in PRD >> Export Datasource...........then replicate it from bw myself........
U hav to generate it in Production also.............hav u done this before replication.....?

in bw side, we will assign DataSource to InfoSource in DEV.
how it will take in QA, meens That source system ( datasource ) is Created based on R/3 dev Logical system.
meene when we will create Source System in DEV it will ask Available Destinetion and Target Computer and System ID.
That is in my R/3 DEV   <b>Available Destinetion = BIWCLNT50</b> ( IT IS LOGICALSYSTEM FO R/3 dev )
                                     Target Computer   =   R3RX000 ( r/3 dev server name )
                                      System ID    = 00   ( r/3 dev system id )
my doubt is .
How it will take this Data source ( bw dev ) in to BW QA ,
because R/3 QA Lagical System name is Different ( ie, WR3AD23 ) and R/3 QA server Name = R3Rx001.
how to map this data source, is i have to create Source System Mannually in BW QA.

How r u ?
If u have connected BW-QA with R/3-QA then u have to assign the R/3-QA system to the InfoSources.
I believe u could do this at once for all the InfoSources, but I do not know the procedure. Wait for some inputs.
