Sourcing and source of supply - when does it happen?
Hi Experts,
Can anybody tell me how the sourcing / source of supply assignment works in standard classic scenario?
This is the situation;
Classic scenario.
Price and vendor (and maybe even info record nr) are known in the internal catalog.
Is the standard process (not sure if standard is the right word ) that you would transfer the price and vendor to the shopping cart? (price is needed for approval)
Or can you also source already in the SHC? And get the price directly from ECC info record?
Or is this sourcing done in the PO and not yet in the SHC?
Are there any best practices on this? (sourcing / assigning directly from backend can prevent difference between catalog price and change price in info recordu2026delta due to timing)
Any ideas or setups on how you did it could be helpful, so please let me know.

Internal catalog is totally different. Sc can be created via catalog also.
nowadayas you can transfer info record to MADM and you can utilise be specific what is your internal catalog.

A1:- so this purchase inforecord price or contract price will not be considereed for sc approval process via internal goods and services.

A2:- while creating PO sc takes that proce from info record and creates a PO with info record/ contract price .while ordering cart , sc just takes material price.

Creating Product Source and Source Reference in OPM
We are testing creating projects directly in OPM rather than uploading them from Microsoft Project. However, the fields Product Source and Source Reference are not populated when we use this method. We need the Source Reference to be populated with the Project# in order for the project to properly interface with our other external systems. These fields are currently protected against changes when accessed through Financial Analyst responsibilities. Does anyone know how we can manually (or another method) populate the Source Reference field with the Project# when creating projects directly in OPM?

The reference lifetime is only guaranteed for the lifetime of the method call.In my case, it just works, because my "callback" is only called before the "handleMessageQ" returns, which means it's within the lifetime of "jobject", etc.
Use GetEnv to get the environment.Could you please provide some sample codes?
Create a static java method which returns the object reference. In your callback call that method to get the reference that you want to work with. I didn't really understand. Could you please show me some sample codes?

Using Firefox (and having ZoneAlarm), when logging into my work email (Lotus Notes) through a secure Citrix program, a question mark types as and accented "E". This does not happen when using IE (which I prefer not to use). I have turned off the anti-keylogger in ZA (an old, and no longer successful fix). Can anyone help? I need my question marks at work.

Someother contacts and photostreams were uploaded to my iphone and mine were lost why does this happen to my apple id?
The "system" performed as designed. All devices syncing to one iCloud account are kept in common sync. The idea is that all such devices belong to one user. Different users should have different iCloud accounts. Once your contacts were edited, all devices were updated as well and subsequent backups (from yours and her device) reflected the changed contacts (and any other data that may have been edited like calendars). Your first task is to change your daughter over to a new account before she makes other changes.
The only way I see for getting back contacts is to restore them from a time machine backup, assuming you also have a Mac included in the account which syncs the contacts. However, I'm not sure whether time machine includes contacts from iCloud along with those that are local, "on my Mac".
Otherwise the deleted contacts are gone. -

Defer log shipping and RMAN-08137 message when doing archivelog backup
Hello,
in a Primary & Dataguard scenario in which we set to DEFER the log shipping to the Dataguard during a high impact process done in the Primary, we receive the message "RMAN-08137: WARNING: archive log not deleted as it is still needed" when doing archive log backup with rman.
Is it the expected behaviour due to the DEFER status with the Dataguard? or even in this scenario we might we able to delete the logs and therefore we have to look more in deep to find our problem?

Had a look on v$archived_log and found the archivelogs that are not deleted and the state for them is

STANDBY_DEST=NO
ARCHIVED=YES
APPLIED=NO
as http://docs.oracle.com/cd/B12037_01/server.101/b10755/dynviews_1015.htm says , they are all Local, were archived and there is no apply needed for them as they are not defined to go to the StandBy Database.
Therefore, why can not still archive them? How can we check if they had been processed by a Streams process?

I used -verbose:gc flag with java and found that GC seems to happen too many times, as I see a big number of stmts like
[GC 5829K->4727K(130816K), 0.0299689 secs]
As you can see there is no need of memory(130k is free), so GC is not really necessary. My question is, when does Java do GC? The answer might be different for JDK 1.2, 1.3 & 1.4, I have started using 1.4 now.

santoshwhy would my code depend on GC time? Usually it doesn't, but some programs are depend on running consistently without stopping execution at random times to run the garbage collector.
Here's an example. Suppose you were writing a program that controlled a robot like the honda p2 (http://world.honda.com/robot/), and more specifically how to make the robot walk down stairs. Now the robot can make a step, and in mid stride it could run the GC. If the robot is not balanced when the GC runs, it would fall down & break. You would need to controll when the GC runs so it only runs when there is no movement.
Now this situations does not apply to most people, but it demonstrates the point that for some programs the execution time is critical, and the GC could cause serious problems to the entire system if it executes at bad times. A few months ago I saw a post from a person who had problems with this very thing. -
I have a Search button with id: searchBtn and some outputText set to #{bindings.RealEmpId.inputValue} that is an attribute binding in my page def to show the value rather than the index of the option the user selects in a selectOneChoice list with id: selectEmpId.
I have the PartialTrigger property of this outputText set to searchBtn. I tried with setting the property to selectEmpId alone, both and just searchBtn. When the page first loads the text is hidden based on #{userState.searchAccessFirstTime == false} but the searchBtn sets that with an actionListener.
The text shows up when the user selects an EmpId. But if the user selects another EmpId replacing the first, the text is not updated. In attributeBindings is there a way to update the bound attribute if its base value is updated?
Thanks,I did not do any 'coding' other than with expression language to achieve this. The problem is that the search comes up fine the first time, but if the user makes another selection in the list, the results are not refreshed. They remain based on the original selection.
Can you think of another way to make this work? I've done search pages before in a similar fashion, so I don't know what is happening here. -
iPad--third generation shuts off antenna/hotspot after a few minutes of non-use.
Happens in 3G and LTE VZ environment.
Turning hotspot off and on getsw things working again.
Does Apple have antenna on a timer so it shuts off after a few minutes?

Two things together have restored connectivity.
1. I changed the name under Settings > General > About > Name from My Name's iPad to iPad of My Name. I read somewhere that iOS 7.0.1 or 7.0.2 (I forget which) sometimes had issues with apostrophes here. Easy enough to test.
2. I then reset (again) the APN settings under Settings > Cellular Data > APN Settings > Personal Hotspot and reentered our provider's info (APN, Username, Password) there.
I don't know WHY it worked, but the personal hotspot is now happily sharing (again) internet connectivity with my MacBook Pro. -
Best way to print an image multiple times on same sheet and not lose quality when doing so

I have the full subscription to Adobe Creative Suite, but am unfamiliar with almost all of the programs. I have used Photoshop a bit, but not too much.
I have this project I do several times a year, and am sure there is a better way to do it.
I am sent a colourful excel spreadsheet - a schedule. I print a bunch of copies full size, then need to print 8 copies on a single 8.5x11 piece of paper.
I've tried several methods - but want to know what the best way to retain the best quality would be.
The best I've done (and I'm not totally happy with) is to copy the image into Photoshop, save as a PDF, create 7 more copies then merge as a single PDF and print.
I do find that the quality does suffer a bit.
Can anyone suggest a better way?

AmberWith all the apps at your disposal, that is a long way around. Granted it is hard to not loose quality/data when scaling. But it makes sense to create the document to your liking, then create a new document that is 8.5" x 11" and place the original into it. Then using guides or alignment tools, duplicate that image.
This allows you to have full control over the location of each image, and extra data needed like captions, names, etc. and how that data is formated.
Luckily you have multiple programs that can accomplish this. Some are easier than others, some are more robust than others, etc. In the end it is what you are familar with and how much time you can spend on learning while getting the job done.
Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign are all your go to programs from creating anything for print and they can be used for other media as well. But that is their strong suite, print.
All three apps have their own dedicated forum on this site, so go ahead and mark them as your favorites as your questions for each need to be in their respective place.

Some features of BI 7 are
1. In Infosets now you can include Infocubes as well.
2. The Remodeling transaction helps you add new key figure and characteristics and handles historical data as well without much hassle. This is only for info cube.
3. The BI accelerator (for now only for infocubes) helps in reducing query run time by almost a factor of 10 - 100. This BI accl is a separate box and would cost more. Vendors for these would be HP or IBM.
4. The monitoring has been imprvoed with a new portal based cockpit. Which means you would need to have an EP guy in ur project for implementing the portal !
5. Search functionality hass improved!! You can search any object. Not like 3.5
6. Transformations are in and routines are passe! Yess, you can always revert to the old transactions too.
