Sourcing: Creation of more than one PO

Hello,
We are using the sourcing functionality in SRM 5.0 (classic escenario).
On the basis of an acepted bid, we generate a Purchase Order in the R/3 Backend system.
We noticed that in the standard, SRM lets us create for the same position of the bid, another Backend PO, without warning or error.
We would like to manipulate this escenario in such a way that this PO repitition of the same Bid position is not possible.
Anyone already found a way around this problem? May be we need to activate an error message?

Analog Source Triggering with more than one channel in channel list

Hello,
I am trying to use an analog reference trigger with a channel list that contains more than one entry using a
M Series 6289. I am aware that this is generally not possible to have more than one channel in the list due to hardware limitations. I was hoping if some sort of workaround exists.
I am using the NIDAQmx C API to control the card.
Using a second card that is syncronized via RTSI should
allow me to use an analog reference trigger to control multiple analog IO channels ... Right ???

Hello Peter,
If you look at the NI-DAQmx Help, Analog Triggering Considerations for E Series, M Series, and S Series Devices section, it says that to pause multiple channels with an Analog trigger, you must wire that signal to APFI0 or APFI1. Therefore, it is possible to perform this operation.
If you are sharing the AI Sample Clock across RTSI, then you would be able to stop multiple AI channels across multiple devices with the one Analog Reference Trigger.

If my backup HD is not large enough, can Time Machine use more than one destination HD?

Hi, I have about 0,8 Tb on my Mac + 0,9 Tb in an external HD + 2,5 Tb in another external HD.
I have plenty of other HDs with 1-2 Tb that I could use as backup. Can I use them in Time Machine? Can Time Machine split all the data from my Mac and source HDs in more than one destination HD? I would love it if I could avoid buying large 6-10Tb HDs; they are still expensive... I'll appreciate your kind inputs!

Technically, you could store parts of your backup on different drives, but it would require you to be constantly changing the items excluded. It is designed to be a single backup, which you can do the entire backup to more than one drive.

Why won't data merge allow more than one data source at a time?

I need to number tickets, 8 up on a tabloid page, in InDesign (CS5)
I have found out how to use data merge, but it won't allow me to select more than one data source at a time, therefore, making me use 800 sheets of paper instead of 100. That's not acceptable!! Is there a way to merge the pdfs if I make 8 different ones in the places they need to be? Each file that I export will have 100 pages, so is there a way to merge the files to put all eight tickets on each sheet, sequentially? This is driving me nuts!!!!!!!

Past users have solved this frustrating problem. You can find their solutions with a Google search like "InDesign data merge multiple sequential items on one page" without quotes.

More than one class in single java source file?

Is there a way to define more than one class in single java source file?
I get a duplicate class definition error for each extra class, but I am sure there is a way to handle this in JDeveloper.
Anyone knows how ?

Logical table having more than one Logical table sources

Hi ,
Is it possible a logical table has 2 logical table sources and there is no join between the underlying table of logical table sources?
What will happen if we create the request which contains one attribute from each source?
Will BI server return records with Cartesian join?
Is it mandatory if logical table is having more than one logical table sources(exp. Logical table sources are X,Y and underlying table is A,B respectively),
The underlying tables (A&B) must be joined ?
Can someone explain the logic behind the logical table sources? How does it work?
Any reference of document will be appreciable.

You are saying that Oracle BI server will run a query against both tables and combine the results. But if there is no possibilty of any type of join, how BI server will combine the results from both tables.
I have a scenario like below -
Suppose i have 2 tables A and B at physical layer. Both table contains the information of any common subject area.
But there is no attribute is common between A and B so not any kind of join possible between two.
Now if i create a logical table with 2 logical table source A and B and create any request having one column from A and one from B ,
What will happen? How BI server will combine the result? Will BI server not result records after Cartesian join.
How can i model this scenario?

We have requiremnt to configure MS ADS LDAP-> DEEP HIERARCHY & Sun one LDAP->FLAT HIERRARCHY as PORTAL Datra Source.we have already configured MS ADS LDAP.
for merging these 2 LDAPS as a data source can anybody having experiece ...
we tried to configure with the below server parameters for 2nd lDAP merging as per below reference

Can Insosource be fed by more than one source system?
One from R/3 and other from flat file?
Its urgent?

You can have multipple source systems to the same infosource and load them through separate infopackages.
Create a new infosource for flat file and assign it to the object ... ,
it is very similar to how you would do it for an R/3 source , but here there will be no datasource to choose froim since it will be a flat file.

We configure our portal EP 6.0 with the CRM Dev system, such that the users created in CRM Dev system reflect in portal as well.
now the problem is in CRM Test system. when we create users, users are going to create in CRM test system.but our portal is configured with CRM Dev system.
is there any way to configure portal with both CRM Dev system users and CRM test system users.

Could you please help me how to create the Field Catalogs (More than one Source Table). If any one is having example that will help.
My scenario:
Currently we are archiving on CRM Data archiving project. We are facing one issue on creating field catalog with more than one source table.
Ex: ST -- BP1

BP3
ST info store in one table and BP1 -- BP 3 info sotre in another table. with current field catalog we are getting ST -- BP1. Our requirment is we need to show the ST -- BP3 How we can achive this.

Hi,
I don't think its possible to create fieldcatalog for different tables,
but if you want to do so create a dummy table which has all the fields which you want in fieldcatalog.
populate the data from different table to that dummy table
then create fieldcatalog for that table and pass it in the function module...

Binding a component to more than one data source in Design Studio 1.3

Hi All,
Is it possible to bind more than one data source to a component in Design Studio 1.3?
I have 2 Bex queries- one having the current year data(say 06.2013-05.2014) and the other having the previous year data(say 06.2012-05.2013).
I want to create a column chart with x axis labels as 06,07,08.............01,02,03,04,05.
The 05 will show 2 columns for 05.2014 and 05.2013
The 04 will show 2 columns for 04.2014 and 04.2013
and so on
The 06 will show 2 columns for 06.2013 and 05.2012.
Can this be achieved in Design Studio if only one data source is possible for a column chart?

I don't see where this is possible out of the box as the properties for the chart show only one data source
Is the data coming from one InfoProvider? If so could you create one query that shows current year and with a BEx variable/offset show prior year?

Create a logical column with more than one data source

I'm having a problem to create a logical column with more than one data source in Siebel 7.8.
What I want to do is the union of 2 physical tables in one logical table.
For example, I have a "local_clients" table and a "abroad_clients" table. What I want is to have a logical table "clients" with the client data from the 2 tables.
What I've tried is dragging the datasources I need onto the logical column.
However this isn't working because it only retrieves the data from the first data source.

I think it is not possible to do this just by dragging the columns to the logical table. A logical table can have more than one source, but I think each column must have just one direct source column.
I'm not sure, but maybe you should do the UNION SQL to get the data of the two tables. In the physical layer, when you create a new physical table, it's possible to set the "table type" as a "SELECT". I didn't try that, but it seems that it's possible to have the union table in the physical layer.

I tried the linked universe concept but it is not working when I read in this topic in the universe design tool guide it indicated that
both universes should have the same database I cote from this book
("The core universe and derived universe use the same data account, or database, and the same
RDBMS.")
I also checked in the designer help it says the same condition
