I am submitting these questions to the ABAP development team at SAP regarding the language capabilities.
Coming from the Java/C world I am wondering if you plan the following possible "evolutions" of the ABAP language :
   - a real boolean implementation in ABAP like in Java or C; possibly a OO class implementation with full operators;
   -> the possibilty to write conditionnal expressions or assignements like the followings :
   x = ( a and not b).

Dear OTN Members/Oracle Development Team/Oracle Gurus.
I am using ORACLE 8.0.5 IIS4 and Forms Server.
on NT 4.0 with service Pack 3
Web from run fine with the JDK AppletViewer with JDK provided
with th production Cd. except that forms dont show images when
ISS4 is used
but when i try to run forms with Jinitiator using IE4 or Netscape
4.5 or with out jinitiator i get error's
while running with JInitiator

Why is it that the Oracle on Linux Development team almost never
respond to questions in this forum?
Their presence is underwhelming...
Compare this 'presence' to say the Oracle Developer Team
(Developer Forum).. who answer a huge proportion of the
postings.. And yet this is one of the more active forums..
Responses from Oracle would be greatly appreciated.. besides they
would be a huge marketing coup for Oracle as developers tend to
be more loyal if they feel that their grievances/complaints/wish
lists are heard and not just falling on deaf ears..

It's true that most questions are answered by other users. There
are two reasons why I think that's a good thing.
1. It's just how Linux has always worked. We police our own
ranks, fix our own stuff, and solve our own disputes.
2. I believe that #1 was a driving factor for companies like
Oracle to port to Linux. The worldwide support network
available to the Linux community is something even micro$oft
can't match. From Oracle's point of view, it's a win/win.
A user community that fixes it's own stuff and never calls me
up? That's every vendor and sys-admin's dream.....
However if there are product related bugs/issues, that clearly
have no connection to configuration/misuse, (like missing libs,
ala patch[1-3].tgz) it IS the duty of Oracle Development
Personnel to step in.

I developed a indesing plug-in, and its function is to increase the two kinds of footnotes style，
When the user selects this type of footnote style, and insert some footnote to the document
The user then export the document to pdf。
there is no problem in indesign CS3 and indesign CS4.
but in indesign CS5 and CS5.5,
export pdf, there will be two kinds of format：
Adobe PDF(Interaction)
Adobe PDF(Print)
If the user chooses to export a pdf(Interaction),there is no problem,
but if user choose to export to pdf(print)，
All of the footnote is replaced by an ordinary Arabic numerals 1,2,3,4,......
I think there is a bug in exported the pdf function in cs5 and cs5.5，
so ，who can help me to submit this bug to the adobe indesign development team？ thanks.

To SAP-XI Product Developement... Bug in Integration Scenario, swimlanes..?

I am not sure whether such questions can be posted in this forum or not.. but i have no other alternative. If this is not the right forum i will not post such queries again.
I have posted a query reg "Integration Scenario, swimlane diagrams" in XI Forum, but there were no replies to that. So i like to forward the same to the Product Develpment team and like to know if this is a bug or things do work like this..?
I have designed my Integration Scenario in Design Time, imported the same into configuraton time so that the Configuration Objects (Receiver Determination, Interface Determinaiton, Receiver agreements) are automatically created. I tried the sacenario and its working fine.
In my scenario, i have 3 swimlanes corresponding systems, Sys1, sys2, sys3.
In Run1, a connection is made b/n sys1's and sys2's actions. Imported into Configuration, Configuration objects created,(Rx Determination Created) scenario working properly.
In Run2, another connection is made b/n sys1 and sys3's actions (sys1 and sys2 still remain connected). Imported into Configuration, receiver determinaition changed according to the scenario, scenario working properly.
In Run3, the connection b/n sys1 and sys2 is removed and again imported into configuration, but the receiver determination is not changed to cater to the scenario in design time. The old receiver determinaiton is not getting deleted/chaged). The receiver deteminaiton reused instead of being changed, which is incorrect according to the scenario.

you are right, I don't need virtual receivers for my scenaro and I also don't want to use them.
However, when modelling my scenario with an integration scenario in the design, I'm forced to do this and I would like to know whether there is any way to avoid this.
In order to be able to use a business service on the sender side, it seems I have to select the checkbox 'External party with B2B communication' in my integration scenario. When importing & configuring the scenario in the directory, I am then able to select by business service for the sender side. However, for the receiver side I have to specify a virtual receiver, otherwise I cannot finish the config wizard.
Any more ideas?

Multiple Servers for Development Team in WLI2.1 on wlidomain

Has anyone tried to create multiple servers so that a development team can share
the resources of a domain with WLI 2.1? If so, how did it work. I have done this
with WLS but would like to try it with WLI.
I tried to create multiple servers, but, had difficulty as there seems to many
resources that are tied to the server name and default port. Also, I tried to
change the port and that caused alot of problems on the myserver.

I was not looking for something which is scaling out Hyperion Planning(via load balancer)/Horizontal clustering.
But was looking for some thing like Vertical clustering(multiple JVMs/nodes of Hyperion Planning within a single planning server) which was applicable in 11.1.1.3.
Came to know that with 11.1.2.2 vertical clustering not more supported.

A FAQ with Qs like:

may be the best way to handle the "collateral" as it can retain the same (easily understood title) whilst being extendable to cover virtually anything.

Help Please: Looking to contact Software Development Team

I have been looking over the site, and I am struggling to locate a contact address for the development team.
The query is this: Without giving too much away, I have in mind what I believe to be a highly innovative software concept / marketing method to integrate with the existing format and content provided by iTunes.
Therefore, I am looking to arrange a pitch for this idea.
Probably a long shot on the forums, but I'm guessing there has to be a certain amount of company involvement in the moderation thereof.
