Sourcing UI content in Multilanguage(Internationalization)

Hi All,
We are working on Sourcing 7.0(CE 7.1). We are about to support different language for our client based on their locale. We have uploaded language pack in the server. I am able to see language pack list inside the Setup->User Interface->Language Packs.
In the localized resource i have seen the option of adding different language and its corresponding translation of the default string/text of localized resource.
At the user account side we need to set the language and based on this selected language he will be able to see the Sourcing UI and its content.
I found above three parts for the multilanguage scenario.
In addition to the above please let me know how to maintain Master data for different languages. I have checked document setup section and found if i create any library like RFx question, types description, project schedules, there no option for language. Is system is going to manage language or how to handle?
Please let me know if there are any other settings that I need to consider at the time of working on multilingual scenario.

Thanks for reply.
I have check that option. So here i need to change everything manually one by one. Is there any way to upload language specific data in one shot like i have uploaded the Enterprise work book for english language.
I have tested by changing one Project type's description to french language and it works.
If i need to prepare my system from English to French so French user can see the same master/custom data in French what will be the best approach.

Unable to get source file content as mail body in file to mail scenario

Hi Friends,
I am facing one problem with one of my file to mail scenario in PI(SP9). I have done bypass scenario(without IR only with ID objects). Scenario is working fine, i am getting mail also. But my requirement is i want complete source file content as a mail body (not xml format, text format). I have checked all options, but configured scenario bydefault taking source content as a attachment and mail body is empty. I have tested below options
1. If i choose message protocol as FCC mechanism at source side content at target side i am getting xml format as a attachment( In mail adapter i have selected message protocol as xi payload, and without packate option on mail adapter). If i choose message protocol as xi all, i am getting 2 files as a attachment (one file as a payload content and second file as a source file content in xml format).
2. If i choose message protocol as file at souce side that time i am getting source complete content as a attachment at target side in xml format, but mail attached file content is flat file(.xml extension) format. When i tried to open attachment file that time i am getting error in explorer, but i can see only one row in explorer remaining rows unable to see.

Follow below steps
1. First basis level need to configure setup(SMTP) for mail. After that only mail will go from SAP.
2. Source side depending on requirement take communication channel(idoc, file etc)
3. Receiver side communication channel take mail adapter and configure below setup
   3.1 select message protocol XI ALL/ XI PAYLOAD(WITH PACKAGE or WITHOUT PACKAGE)
   3.2 if message protocol is XI ALL, the complete content will be sent as a attachment along with payload file
   3.3 if message protocol is XI PAYLOAD, the source message, the source message will be sent as attachment. Playload file filter automatically.
   3.4 If you use PACKAGE option on mail adaper, this time source strucute need to import from SAP (some standard structure only will be support, without strucutre we can't work). If you choose package option no need to give mail id on communication channel, we need to pass mail id's from source structure.
I hope now clear.

Single-sourcing: Deleted content in FM source not reflected in RH update

I discovered today that, when I delete content in my linked FM source, the same content is not deleted or even marked as 'changed' or anything in the RH update!
In one situation, I deleted an entire chapter but the topic wasn't deleted.
In another, I deleted a section of a chapter, but the section wasn't deleted from the topic. In both cases, I saved the changes in FM before running the update in RH.
Is this a known but undocumented feature? Did I miss a setting somewhere? Is there a fix or update?
It pretty much invalidates the whole purpose of 'linking and updating.'

Bizarre. With another linked book, the deleted FM content was deleted from the RH project. I can't figure out why it worked with one book and not the other.

Event ID 5548; Event Source: Web Content Management

My Organization has a SP2010 production setup with 3 web front end servers. I see "A malformed reusable content HTML fragment was found: A placeholder was found within the HTML Content but there is no ID Section header at the
beginning of the HTML." event error all the time on the web front end servers. I have goggled it but didn't find enough information. Could anyone help me out on this.

I found a similar issue:

It suggests that errors logged are caused by Web Parts in a specific page with rich text fields and an Export/Import/Delete operation might fix it.
Please go to ULS logs, narrow down that this was occurring only on a specific page of the site and which elements seemed to be causing the problem.

Is Apple TV going to expand its sources of content?

I just bought an apple TV and I love it. I have read up on some of its competitors, however, which stream more content. Roku streams Hula and Amazon on Demand. Does Apple have any plans to expand the selection of online content available?

I think it would only increase sales. Besides, they currently are competing with itunes with the implementation of Netflix. A lot of the stuff on itunes is available through Netflix. If I had a choice, I obviously would get it from Netflix as opposed to buying it on itunes.
If I didn't have all apple (desktop, laptop and phone), I probably would've gotten Roku since it has more content.

SAP-dropdown; source and content

Hi all!
I have a question.
I'm using PDK.NET2.0, MSSQL and portal 6.40 SP15
How can I set "DataValueField(.NET)" to a dropdown-control without showing it. I am using a stored procedure with two columns.
Example:
apple
orange
banana
and these have the values: 3,5,12
I don't want to set them manualy, I want to read them from a table.
I am using the ID for search.

Content sources and Crawling rules

Hi,
I tried using "http://www.microsoft.com/downloads" as a content source. For some reason directories like "http://www.microsoft.com/documentation" get crawled too. But I just want to crawl the subdirectories of the "downloads"
directory...
I think there should be a better way then excluding each wrong path with a crawl rule...
What am I doing wrong?

Hi Severin,
If you set the content source using
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads, SharePoint will crawl starting with the URL.However, if there is a link linked to other directories in a page which is under the URL, it will also crawl the directories.
To avoid this issue, you need to limit page depth for crawling the content source. You can set page depth as Content source->[your content source]->Crawl settings.

Search Refinement Panel webpart - filter on Content Source

Hi,
I have 6 content sources and would like the search refinement panel to be able to filter by Content
Source.
I have the refinement panel filtering for various other Managed Properties, but I'm struggling to get it to work for Content
Source.
So, for example, if my content sources were called 'Content Source 1', 'Content Source 2' etc. then then Search refinement Panel webpart would show:
Content Source
All Content Sources
Content Source 1
Content Source 2
And clicking on the filter link would refresh the page and show results only from that particular content source.
The content sources are a mixture of SharePoint and BCS databases and I have no access to modify either.
I have tried making my own 'MyContentSource' Managed Property in Search administration, but I don't know what the mappings would be.
Can anyone help?

Thanks Lisa, but scopes won't work here.
We have scopes defined already, one for each content source and 1 convering all the content sources, along with other conbinations of multiple content sources.
The scenario is this:
When I first visit the search results page, I want to see results from all the content sources so I use the scope containing all 6.
Then I want to use the refinement panel webpart to filter down to a single scope, all from the search results page.
This is something that is very easy to do using the Google Search Appliance and our company are currently choosing between it and Sharepoint search going forward. I think this will be the deal-breaker if I can't get this to work under SharePoint search.
At the moment I'm thinking that I might be able to do it using the SiteUrl or ContentType or something, along with a custom filter in the xml of the Refinement panel. Haven't tried it yet.
So along the lines of this:
<CustomFilters MappingType="ValueMapping" DataType="String" ValueReference="Absolute" ShowAllInMore="False">
 <CustomFilter CustomValue="[name of my content source]">
 <OriginalValue>[specific site url or content type maybe?]</OriginalValue>

Generated XML doc file contains comments from MFC source code

Hello, in my project I use the option /doc to generate XML doc file from my source codes but unfortunately in the output XML file there are mixed also comments from original MFC source codes, see the part of generated xml file:
Is there a solution to ignore these MFC cpp files?

Based on your issue, could you please tell me how you use the option /doc to generate XML doc file from your source codes?
If you use the option /doc to generate the XML doc file by right-click the your MFC project->Properties->Configuration Properties->C/C++->Output file->set the Generate XML document files as Yes(/doc) like the following screen shot.
(1)If yes, since we could not reproduce your issue in mu side, so if possible, I suggest you could share me your MFC project so that we will further help you support this issue.
You could upload your MFC project to the OneDrive and then copy link here.
(2)If no, please try the above way to generate XML doc file and then check if you still get same issue.

Content file download failed - CRC Verification failure For update KB976932

Hey I'm trying to download the updates for windows 7 and having issues with this specific update. It seems no matter what it keeps failing. Tried two different internet connections The update that i'm having issues with is
The message that is being thrown back at me is
As i said i've tried it on multiple internet connections and it keeps failing.
Any ideas why this could be happening ?

Missing template/layout issues post-content migration

We are attempting a migration of data and content from 6.3 to 6.2 (for SAP EL integration) and we are seeing two issues. About 1/3 of the meetings display a node with the message: "The template you are looking at is the one we use if the default template feature is not working", another 1/3 show a blank meeting board and have no available layouts, and the remaining 1/3 work fine.
We are still trying to determine if this might be a versioning issue by examining creation/mod dates of the meetings and underlying templates but have yet to find a discernable pattern. Note, all meetings function without issue in the 6.3 system.
My next stop is hunting for DB discrepencies...

Does anyone know where/how the file system path to content is configured? I have looked through the DB and App file dir with no luck. The (target) lab system I am using was installed with a non-default path (D:/AdobeConnect/breeze...) and the (source) migrated content came from a system with a default path (D:/breeze...). When attempting to access the content library, the object display window just times out. I have verified the content does exist in file system and is uncorrupted.

Data Source Lookup fails

The datasource defintion is for oc4j datasources whereas the code is trying to cast it to oracle datasource implementation. Use the datsource interface instead to get the connection. I.e
Change the lookup code to
javax.sql.DataSource ds = (javax.sal.DataSource)ctx.lookup(..);
ds.getConnection();

Newbie Table Data Source Question

Hi,
I have a question about table data sources. I can set them up OK but I can't find the answers I'm looking for in the documentation or online.
With a table data source, the content column is the one that's indexed right? Are the attribute column sindexed as well? If the content column is null, will the attribute columns still be indexed?

The attribute column is indexed along with the content column. However, the attribute column will not be indexed if the content column is null. That is, empty document is not indexed.
The workaround is to at least fill in a few space characters to the content column.

Bug in rendering HTML content Apex 2.2 (in Apex 2.0 was OK)

We have many PLSQL processes which are called through boolean function which return some message as well as the result.
 
function some_func (pid IN NUMBER,err_msg OUT NOCOPY VARCHAR2) RETURN BOOLEAN; 
and at the end function looks like:
 
:err_msg := 'Pitanje <*b>'||TO_CHAR(p_id)||'<*/b> je OK!';
RETURN TRUE; 
Later, in "On load before header", we call this function and assign "err_msg" value to hidden item "P2_MESSAGE", placed on the same page. Assigment is done in an way like:
 
some_bool:=some_func (:P2_ID,:P2_MESSAGE); 
In one HTML reagion, we put in "Source", code like:
 
<*class="t16dataalt">&P2_MESSAGE.</class> 
and until now, bold tags are applied as well as class-we get only text!
 
But now, in Apex 2.2, (original theme 16 used) in result we get all content as it is not recognized as HTML code.
 
In browser the result(in a case of OK result) is:
 
Pitanje <*b>1<*/b> je OK! 
and the generated source is:
 
<*class="*t16dataalt">Pitanje &*lt;*b&*gt;1&*lt;/b&*gt; je OK!</*class="*t16dataalt"> 
Is that a bug or what?
 
Once more, before the same code was working nice, theme 2 used...

We have imported app that was exported on Apex 2.0 and the same problem occure!
 
So we think this is a bug in rendering HTML region!
 
Is there any hint to overcome that until patch come ?

The issue is easy to reproduce. Create HTML region:
User Interface Template-Reports Region
Display point-Page template body
Assign one hiden item in on load process with value:
P2_MESSAGE := "OK</ b<>";
Put P2_MESSAGE in HTML Source with content like this:
< class="t16dataalt">&P2_MESSAGE.</ class>
and you have it!
