SP11----

Hi guys,
We are planning on a upgrade for XI 3.0 ..But we are planning an SP10 (since the word out is that its stable) rather than SP11....Is it recommended to go to SP11 at this stage or are there any bugs being still fixed in SP11..???

    Hi,
R u trying to deploy an old DC in the upgraded studio? Is the same happening for deploying any newly created local webdynpro project? Create a simple local project and check if same problem occurs.

  • Unknown exception while creating Item: PPM 5.0 (SP11) + NW 7.41 SP03 + ECC 6.0 EHP7

Hi we recently upgraded from PPM 5.0 SP 9 to SP11.
Along with that we did below updates as well.
    NW 7.02 SP10 --> NW 7.41 SP03
    ECC 6.0 EHP5 --> ECC 6.0 EHP7
During creation of Item we are getting below error
Exception occurred in the update of the application object
Some points I have checked already:
    1. New configuring: the complete new set of configuration right from New Portfolio type to item type and related master data.
    2. Authorization: I have ACO_SUPER and also ACL access ADMIN and Write at Portfolio and Top bucket, which shows as Inherited. tried adding Create manually at lowest bucket.
    3. Old Portfolio's (before upgrade): face same issue for new create however the old ones I can update and save works fine.
    4. Basis: There is no Trace we could find relevant, No ST22 dump.
    5. Trace: show CuaOwnLuwErrorReset which Im not sure nor is our Basis guy.
    6. Market place: Tried searching service market place for CuaOwnLuwErrorReset, No use, tried with spaces too.
    7. Basis: Tried verification of Database tables
    8. Old Items > Financial Planning shows dump at CX_RPM_DB_UPDATE, developers are checking it out.
    9. Developments: No BAdI is called during save.
    Any pointers highly appreciated
    Rgds,
    Niranjan

    Ravi,
Thanks for the pointers. But from configuration perspective its all good I believe.
    Answers in bold
    1) Is this issue persisted before upgrade also?
NO. Earlier it was working fine.
    2) Have you enabled automatic project creation in the item type?
         a) If yes, then can you check with an item creation where automatic project creation in not enabled.
Already tried creation of Item only. Same error. With Check box or without. With template or without.
         b) If issue persists only with automatic project creation, then are you trying to create PPM project or PS project?
PS is not in picture now, as its linked to release strategy of cProjects (PPM project)
         c) If PS project, can you check for the object links RFC connections?
The cProjects (PPM project) and PS RFCs are fine. We are on same server so its all good. NONE is what is verified in SM59 already

  • DTP's not activating in SP11

    Hi,
We were able to activate the DTP's successfully before applying SP11.
But after applying SP11, we are getting an error while activating the DTP.
Here is the two errors displayed with RED symbol while performing "Post Processing/Creation of DDIC Objects for Data Transfer Process":
    1) & --> Message no. D0313
    2) Error when activating Data Transfer Process --> Message no. RSO404
I checked the OSS Notes for the above mentioned error messages, but it was not of much help.
Any information to resolve this issue is appreciated.
    Thanks,

Many of the errors were introduced with SP-11 and then corrected back in SP-13.
You may wish to check for the same.
    Hope it Helps

  • Problem with sp11, wl 5.1, apache and server root requests

We have the following server configuration:
    Solaris 2.6
    Java 1.3.1_02
    Weblogic 5.1
    Apache 1.3.20
We recently moved from sp9 to sp11, and noticed a change in the behavior of the Apache-WL
    bridge (mod_wl_ssl.so).
We have apache running in front of our WL instance. We're planning to offload static
content to apache, but for now, we pass all requests through to weblogic. This means
we don't have any files in Apache's server root. They all are in the (separate) weblogic
root. This has worked fine until sp11. Now, when you make a request to the server
root, ie, http://server.com/ or http://server.com, weblogic's 404 page is returned.
After turning on the debug logs of an sp9 and an sp11 bridge, I think this is what's
    happening:
The way we have the bridge pass everything on is with a " MatchExpression * " directive
in the <IfModule mod_weblogic.c> section of our httpd.conf. We've also tested alternatives
using Directory, Location and LocationMatch directives like this:
    <LocationMatch "^/">
         SetHandler weblogic-handler
    </LocationMatch>
and the behavior I'm writing about still remains.
In sp11, when making the root level request, the only request that apache passes
on to wl is a request for the error page set in the default apache config. (I'm looking
    at the mod_wl debug logs).
In sp9, you see a request for "/", and wl returns a 302 redirection. The next request
is to "/index.jsp", which returns correctly (a 200 response).
What I think is happening is that mod_wl stopped intercepting the "/" URL request
in sp11. It would then default to apache's mod_dir to lookup an index file for /,
try to find that file in the apache root(internally to mod_dir), not find anything,
since we don't have an index file in the apache server root, then generate a request
for the apache error page, which is then intercepted and passed on to wl. Since wl
doesn't have this file, a 404 is returned. (whew).
Now, if I go to the apache server root, and create an empty index file (>touch index.jsp),
I see one request for "/index.jsp" passed to WL which then returns correctly. Still
no intial request for "/", which leads me to believe mod_dir is still handling the
"/" URL request rather than mod_wl.
Why did this behavior change between service packs, and can it switch back to the
original behavior? I don't like having empty files lying around. Also, I didn't see
this change in behavior documented in any of the release notes.

I had a similar problem on Redhat Linux 7.1, Java 1.3.1, Apache 1.3.20
doing PathPrepends for a Location directive.
I recently saw they have release SP12 for WL5.1 which addresses
PathPrepend issues. This could be a similar issue

  • BI 7.0, SP11, active transformation not in metadata, cannot transport

    Hi,
I'm on SP11 and I have activated transformations with routines and formulas but when I try to transport, I get an error that my rules cannot be found.  When I checked the metadata I noticed that my active DTP's were there but not my Transformations or my migrated datasources.  When I created my transport, these were listed as objects in my transport.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks
    Suzanne

My mistake, I hadn't selected my system to view the metadata.  I also deleted the original source system client and will re-start the replication and migration with the new client

  • Solution Manager 7.1 SP11  Functionality

    Dear SAP specialists;
Our company is currently using Solution Manager for the following purposes:
Solution Manager 7.0 - to be decommisioned soon
    Document repository for SAP systems.
    Solution Manager 7.1 SP6
SAP Banking Services and SAP BW Upgrade Projects documentation.
Business Process Monitoring (BPMon) or Banking End-of-day (EOD) jobs, PI/XI interface queues, tRFC queues, Banking Services PCO/ PPO/CpD worklists, DBA Backup monitoring.
SAP Data Volume Management (DVM) for production systems.
    Technical SAP system monitoring.
    Non-SAP Technical system monitoring.
Intake Request Tool (custom-developed tool to log the request tickets through froms in SAP Portal).
    SAP Maintenance (MOPZ).
SAP Early Watch Alert / SAP Ad-Hoc Reporting.
    Root Cause Analysis.
Change Request Management (ChaRM) - *Under Development*.
We are planning to get Solution Manager 7.1 SP11 soon and I am wondering about the following:
Is there a comprehesive source of functional and technical information (presentations, white papers, guides, overviews) about Solution Manager SP11?
How much does the SP11 upgrade changes the Solution Manager usage for purposes listed above?
As of SP10 there is a new experimental MAI Alert functionality for Business Process Monitoring and Technical Monitoring. It is limited and does not support most of BPMon tools we use. This includes Application log Monitors, Notification BADI's, Monitoring Objects Lists, BW storage and reporting, monitoring templates and migration of current solutions)

  • J2EE Engine cannot start after applying SP11 on WAS 6.40

    Hi SAP
I am upgrading my WAS 6.40 SR1 java instance from SP9 to SP11. At the last stages of the installation the Java instance is stopped & started,at the step where Java instance is started, the 'server' process of the Java instance is not coming up properly. jcmon shows the dispatcher & SDM with status 'running' while server0 is with status 'stopped'.
Since I'm using ABAP as data source to the J2EE, appears to me that the problem is occuring due to password mismatch for user SAPJSF in R/3 client 168 & between user SAPJSF in J2EE though I'm not sure why the password might change in J2EE after applying SP11.
Please advice if my reasoning is correct, if no please advice how to solve this problem.
If yes pls advice how can I change the password for user SAPJSF in J2EE. FYI I already tried changing the password for user SAPJSF using the offline config tool, Under cluster-data-> Instance_ID87066 I select the
services com.sap.security.core.ume.service, then I select the ume.r3.connection.master.passwd, then the problem is inside the value option I'm not able to input the new password, neither I'm able to delete the old password, so the best thing I can do is Click on Set which opens a small window without any description with 2 options OK & Cancel, here I put the password same as R/3 password & save, after this I re-start the J2EE, but the same problem persists. Please advice on solving the problem.

  • Web AS Java 6.40 sp11

Hi All, any help you can give would be greatly appreciated, or indeed point me to the right place if this is not the correct forum, Thanks!
I was installing sp11 from sp0 on an XI 6.40 system, following the sp11 install pdf documentation. I patched the kernel, imported the SAP BASIS 6.40 sp, changed relevant configuration (including updating the jdk from 1.4.2_05 to 1.4.2_07) but when I got to the section on SAP Web AS Java 6.40 support package I ran into an issue. I downloaded the relevent patches and unpacked with SAPCAR, ran SAPInst from the unpacked folders and all was working until it reached the phase "Deploy File System" directly following the phase "SDM Installation/Upgrade". I got an error dialog (Retry/View Log/Stop/Reset) and the log showed the following error:
    ERROR 2005-04-04 14:34:51
MUT-02041  SDM call of j2eeenginestartstop mode=manual ends with returncode 16
I also get this error if I run the above call on the command line, together with a java stack, which also appears in the logs:

I can't find anything in the sap notes about this, or in the other documentation, and am really stuck. I have tried checking if there is another sdm server running and there is not (if I start one I get a different error saying that there is already an SDM server running)
If I really can't work out what to do I will have to go back to the last system backup I did because at the moment the J2EE engine won't even start and I can't get the SAPInst to go forward or backward to where I was before I ran it (e.g under j2ee/os_libs I have a folder "moved_by_sapinst" which remains even when I do a "reset" after the error and the Jlaunch exe has been moved there, and I think this may be why my j2ee server is not starting??)
Many thanks for any help you can give,
    Cheers,
    Chris

    Hi all,
Does anyone else have any suggections as to what I might try? I am still having this issue and have tried everything I can think of, I will keep trying but am running out of ideas.. The fact that the stack trace mentions CVERS table leads me to believe that the Web AS Java sp11 install is maybe looking for a component in my system that is not there, the only 4 things listed in my CVERS table are:
    PI_BASIS  2004_1_640 0008 X
    SAP_ABA   640        0011 S
    SAP_BASIS 640        0011 S
    SAP_BW    350        0011 W
Could I be missing something vital or is this a red herring?!
Thanks for any help you can provide,
    Chris

  • Error Starting WebLogic Server 5.1 (SP11)

    Hi,
I have installed weblogic server 5.1 (SP11) in NT, I tried to start the Weblogic
Server and got the message "weblogic server started", immediatly after that I
got the message " IIOP service not started as vm 1.3 was not found". Do you know
what could be causing these IIOP error message?. Any help.
    Thanks in advance,

51 SP11 is shipped with IIOP stuff and by default this sub-system is enabled.
If you don't want IIOP, you can turn it off with the following system property
    -Dweblogic.system.enableIIOP=false weblogic.Server
Otherwise make sure to start the server with 1.3 VM .

    Hi all,
Apprantly it seems that the sequence to applying the SP Stacks plays a part. I reverted back to SP9 then went on to SP10, SP10 patch2 and then SP11 and it appears fine now.
    Cheers

  • RFC does not work after SP11 upgrade

    Hi girls and guys,
I just upgraded our system to WAS6.40 SP11 from SP09. Surprisingly enough, my WD application which accesses 4.6C system now stops working. There was a problem with the two JCO connections after the upgrade, and finally I made them working with a service user.
However, there is still a problem which shows an error "The function module "DD_DOMA_GET" not released for 'remote' calls." This FM is never used anywhere in my app, and I ever did not know its existance before the error occurred.
Have any of you seen this error before? and how could i fix it?
    Thanks in advance!
    Regards,
    Hart

    Hi Marco,

  • Sneak preview sp11 java edition install hangs

I posted this in the NetWeaver forum originally but now realize this might be a more appropriate forum.
I am trying to install the sneak preview sp11 java edition to a brand new box. The installation hangs on the "Load Java Database Content" step. The last thing in the jload.log is:
    08.11.05 00:24 com.sap.inst.jload.Jload dbImport
    INFO: table J2EE_CONFIGENTRY created
It's been running for 24 hours now and has not moved off that step. The java.exe process is using 50% cpu so it apparently thinks it's doing something. I've seen the posts regarding errors with the install and the Timezone change fix, but I'm already in a timezone that has DST.
    Any ideas?

I had the same problem. I tried reinstalling a couple of times, but the same thing happened - the installation was just hanging and using 100% cpu time.
As the installation had not been tested with JDK 5.0 I had installed the newest version of 1.4.2, namely 1.4.2_10.
Then, just for kicks, I uninstalled 1.4.2_10 and installed 1.4.2_08 - 40 minutes later I got the "Successful install" screen.
    I hope this helps.
ps: it should be noted that I installed on a freshly installed Windows XP (and later on a freshly installed Windows 2003 Server - also without problems) with German regional settings, just to make sure - I have later reverted the regional settings to my locale.
