SP4 and CSS: Entries in VOBTBL.DAT

Hi,
I'm at the replicator's end of Authoring.
We have the problem that customers provide us with DVD masters created with SP using CSS that have only one entry in the vobtbl.dat. According to the CSS spec every vob file needs an individual entry. This goes for DVD5 and DVD9.
Latest job has this version info in the volume descriptor:Application Id\DVD Studio Pro:4.0.3, DSPInterface:382, DVDAuthoring:372, DVDBase:396(Encoder: 483), Oxygene:409
We don't hack customers' files. Therefore my questions:
Is the prob known to Apple?
Anyone else with this prob?
Does a workaround exist to create proper vobtbl.dat files?

I have used SAP doc mgmt for years. We copied a client and now when I configure a Class to my DMS DIR and go to CV01n Additional Data NONE of the characteristic entry boxes show up. Additional Data is blank.

It appears there must be some high level setting missing in the client. I have checked all authorizations and cannot find a difference between this client and all of the other clients we have. Only this one client does not show the class characteristics in the Additional Data tab.
Any ideas of why this standard function is not working). It does not matter which DIR I config the 017 class to, nothing shows on Additional Data.

The issue is resolved. We are working in a sandbox with Class configuration on a DMS issue related to standard class 017. There are no standard settings in SPRO - Cross-Application Components | Maintain Object Types and Class Types | for the object type DRAW that will allow "auto-populating" characteristic values as we do with VC class 300.
For whatever reason DRAW and class 017 are not configured by SAP in the same manner as class 300 for example.
We made a config entry for DRAW Class 017 VBAP. Let's just say the system did not like that.
We are exploring other options.

Differrent date between AP Credit Memo and Journal Entry

I don't know why AP Credit Memo posting date = '31/08/2011' but Journal Entry record posting date ='1/9/2011'.
Change log on AP Credit Memo Create date ='31/08/2011' and change log on Journal Entry Create date='1/9/2011'
APCredit Memo and Journal Entry link together.
I try to make AP Credit Memo again and check. It's ok. It's not always happen just 1 Entry has problem.

yesterday I try to check and reconize something:
There are many trans from AR different date than Journal Entry but same month
It's happen on date all user open addon (addon just help user load data from excel and put data on Sales order --> user add Sales order, addon don't add data), another date It's ok
so, I think this problem by SDK but I don't know how to control SDK with this problem

Current date as deafult for Calender Day and user entry

There is a select option for Calender Day for a BW query.
This Calender Day should have a default as Current Date and User entry is also possible.
I have used a Customer exit and written the following code under i_step = 1
data: v_currdt like sy-datum.
clear: v_currdt, vfl_range.
         if i_step = 1.
          vfl_range-sign = 'I'.
          vfl_range-opt = 'EQ'.
          v_currdt = sy-datum.
          vfl_range-low = v_currdt.
          append vfl_range to e_t_range.

Please inform if this code is incorrect, because I am not able to see the date at all.

HT201250 Can I partition my external hard drive and use one partion for time machine and the other one for data that i may want to use in different computers?

I have this doubt. I've just bought an external drive, especifically a Seagate GoFlex Desk 3 tb.
I want to know if it is recomendable to make a partion exclusively for time machine and let another one so I can put there music, photos, videos, etc that I should need to use or copy to another computer.
May half and half, 1.5 tb for time machine and 1.5 tb for data.
I have an internal hard drive of 500 GB (499.25 GB) in my macbook pro.

As I said, yes. Be sure your Time Machine partition has at least 1 TB for backups.
1. Open Disk Utility in your Utilities folder.
2. After DU loads select your hard drive (this is the entry with the mfgr.'s ID and size) from the left side list. Click on the Partition tab in the DU main window.
3. Under the Volume Scheme heading set the number of partitions from the drop down menu to two (2). Click on the Options button, set the partition scheme to GUID then click on the OK button. Set the format type to Mac OS Extended (Journaled.) Click on the Partition button and wait until the process has completed.

Your content will only be where you put it. It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
You can transfer itunes purchases from your iphone: File>Device>Transfer purchases.
You can import your pics taken with the iphone as you would with any digital camera.
You can e-mail the other pics to yourself, they will never be of the original quality.
You can out a unique contact and calendar entry on the computer. You should get the option to merge the data when you sync.

F110- not able to clear the debit and credit entry with the same reference

Hi,
I am not able to clear the debit and credit entry with the same reference in F110 even after having the payment terms as immediate payment, payment method is maintained in document no and vendor master data. Both debit and credit entry is appearing in FBL1N as an open item but it is not appearing in F110.
In Log message appear as 8 days grace period is existing whereas as payment term is just 0001- immediate payment.
Kindly advice me what could be wrong.

Hi,
Credit and debit balance in vendor account are not cleared automatically when only vendor line item has payment method and credit memo has not payment method. Also when there is not payment method maintained in vendor master data.
In such case to avoid payment to vendor when vendor has debit balance we perform debit balance check.
In second scenario when u2018individual paymentu2019 is selected in vendor master data vendor invoice and credit memo are not cleared automatically in F110.
To setoff vendor credit and debit balance in F110 you to uncheck u2018individual paymentu2019 check in vendor master data > company code data > payment data.

I deleted all of my photos and even turned off backup data for icloud, but it still says that i am using 4 gigabytes of photos storage.

I was going through my phone trying to get more storage because i only had 90 megabytes left. So i saw that i had 4.7 gigs of photos on my phone. I backed up all of my photos onto my PC, and then deleted them off of my phone. But it still said that i had 4.7 gigs of photos. So i went to icloud storage and turned photos off for it, but it still said that i was using 4.7 gigs of photos. could someone please help and tell me why this is happening and what i can do to fix this? thank you. I am using an iphone 5s with ios 8

General File Recovery
If you stop using the drive it's possible to recover deleted files that have not been overwritten by using recovery software such as MAC Data Recovery, Data Rescue II, File Salvage or TechTool Pro. Each of the preceding come on bootable CDs to enable usage without risk of writing more data to the hard drive. Two free alternatives are Disk Drill and TestDisk. Look for them and demos at MacUpdate or CNET Downloads. Recovery software usually provide trial versions that enable you to determine if the software would help before actually paying for it. Beyond this or if the drive has completely failed, then you would need to send the drive to a recovery service which is very expensive.
The longer the hard drive remains in use and data are written to it, the greater the risk your deleted files will be overwritten.

Recover Files in The Trash
If you simply put files in the Trash you can restore them by opening the Trash (left-click on the Trash icon) and drag the files from the Trash to your Desktop or other desired location. OS X also provides a short-cut to undo the last item moved to the Trash -press COMMAND-Z.
If you empty the Trash the files are gone. If a program does an immediate delete rather than moving files to the Trash, then the files are gone. Recovery is possible but you must not allow any additional writes to the hard drive - shut it down. When files are deleted only the directory entries, not the files themselves, is modified. The space occupied by the files has been returned to the system as available for storage, but the files are still on the drive. Writing to the drive will then eventually overwrite the space once occupied by the deleted files in which case the files are lost permanently. Also if you save a file over an existing file of the same name, then the old file is overwritten and cannot be recovered.

How can I delete a list item entry based on date? Nintex workflow?

I have a list with two columns. One of the columns in the list has a training date. I would like to delete entries in the list after the date has passed. How can I do this?
Should I create a Nintex workflow to run everyday? What operation in Nintex would I use to check the date in the list and then delete an entry if the current date has come?

I have access to SharePoint Designer and also Nintex. Are you suggesting I use SharePoint Designer instead of Nintex? I have not used visual studio much so my knowledge with it is not good.
You can create the simple workflow using visual studio. Drag and drop the IF else activity and Code activity to delete the item.
Inside code activity event, Retrieve your date column value and compare against your logic date. if list column value passed then code activity executes the deletion.
Option 2:
If you have SPD design permission on your site,you can simply wire the same logic in the out of box workflow GUI level.

CLI tools to import Calendar and AddressBook entries into multiple users?

We've exported data from an older 3rd-party messaging system being replaced with OCUCS 7u2, with calendar and task data as ICS files (one file with dozens of entries), and address-book data in a similar format (carddav?), one file of each type per user (who had non-empty calendars or address-books).
Now the quest is to get this data into OCUCS :)
Unfortunately, davadmin did not work for us (see post davadmin does not work with a GF instance without admin server for more details), and there seems to be no similar tool for PAB to import/export entries.
We expected to find or write some scripts that would either add data into OCUCS backends (PAB LDAP, davadmin or even direct mysql for calendar+tasks), but it seems more proper to use standard tools (if available) instead of inventing our own wheels - that is, caldav/carddav or WCAP/WABP HTTP clients, or other protocol tools that can do import/export like GUI clients but invoked from command line and with proxy-auth capability.
To review, we need to be able to import some file-based representation of calendar and addressbook data into OCUCS users' accounts from Unix command-line/script. If using protocol tools, this should work using only one admin account with the known password (and proxy-authenticating into other users' addressbooks and calendars for import tasks). For additional imports (i.e. synchronization while the old system is primary) no duplicate entries should appear, at least as long as they are identical; preferably UID and timestamp (if available) should be used to update older entries.
Surprisingly, there are tons of GUI and mobile clients and plugins, but we found nearly no command-line ones. Seemingly, our best automation option might be to impose scripting onto clients like Thunderbird/Lightning or Convergence to do the jobs, or possibly fool an OutLook with the Connector into doing the job. Automation like CURL proxy-logins into Convergence and calling import/export URLs from there are being explored now...
What do other people use for such quests? What can you suggest? What do you know we should look out for? ;)

Thanks a lot for the hint, it does seem the way to go, except that I can't get it working so far :(
One thing to look out for is the line-ending character (should be DOS-style CRLF), so I have to "dos2unix" and "unix2dos" my prepared POST data to get it cleaned up properly (comes from various sources, so both endings are present in original blob of text).
However, now that I got the appserver to accept the post data, calendar says "missing file param", or in more detail:

UPDATE: Tried with a browser, same result when I login with either a proxy-user and its pass, or the end-user and his pass. Logins with bad credentials do fail.
Maybe the ICS data format is unexpected by Calendar Server (too many fields, some Microsoft-centric), or there are problems with UTF-8 text pieces in the entries? (Produced with DavMail, an open-source tool recommended by an Oracle engineer)
Alas, same result for the sample ICS markup in that Wiki post...

GSS4480 and CSS using RFC 1918 addressing

We are in the process of testing out a load balancing/redundancy setup using the GSS4480 and a CSS11506. Right now the CSS is setup with RFC 1918 addressing and we NAT out to the internet using a Checkpoint firewall. If I setup my VIP answer file to poll the 1918 address of the CSS, then that will be the answer that is given out when a client requests a name lookup which won't work. There has to be a way to configure this or then all diagrams I have seen are using internet routable name spaces. Looking at the docs and playing with the GUI I don't see any way of configuring it to use RFC 1918 addressing behind the firewall and still give out internet routable domain names. The docs show's the GSS and CSS being behind firewalls. I guess I am just missing something. Can the CSS be configured to link the RFC1918 address to a public address for KAP-AP purposes? Also is there any issues with NATing to RFC 1918 addresses for the health probes to other GSS's. We would like the health probes to go out over the internet not over our back end. Thanks

our issue really isn't the DNS request as more it is the APP session between the GSS and CSS. We have 2 GSS devices that will be located at different data centers. Going by how the GSS docs say they work, the primary GSS synchronizes its database to the secondary when it comes online. With this the case we can't give our GSS(s) 1918 addresses since they'll be in different locations the secondary won't be able to reach the 1918 address of the primary. We have not proven this, but going on what the documentation says this is how it works. Now if we can configure our GSS(s) with 1918 addresses and just NAT their connection as they go out the FW and that's how they learn of each other then that issue becomes moot.
Going with our current problem here's the rest. Since the GSS(s) are outside the firewall they are polling CSS(s) that are located behind the firewall. All NAT is done on the FW so the CSS is completely 1918 addressed. The GSS is polling the circuit IP of the CSS which is a real address that the FW NATs to the 1918 address. The problem arises when the GSS queries the CSS the request is received, however it's for a real address and not a 1918 address.
We thought about duplicating all the content rules with the real addresses as the VIP; this works, but since the users aren't going through those rules the GSS is never going to get anything more than 2 on the load.
