SPA 122 with Polycom Equipment

I have a number of these devices, SPA 122's, set up at various customer sites with Polycom analog conference units running on a hosted telephony platform.  They are all running the latest firmware.  They all work great except for one problem.
A standard functionality of Polycom equipment is the ability to intercom other phones on the PBX using (* + 1 + Extension #).  However, the problem that I am running into is that the IRV default access is also done by selecting (*) from the analog device.  Is there a setting that I can change that would allow me to avoid this conflict?  I understand I may loose the ability to configure the ATA using the IVR and will neeed to use the web management.  This is fine.
Can anyone provide assistance with this?

Try the following.
Update the 'dial plan' (line tab) and the 'feature dial services codes' (regional tab).
In the dial plan, remove the *xx and put in *1xx. if you plan to dial *1 and 2 or more digits afterward.
In the feature dial services codes, put in the same *1xx.
Remove the default settings for Secure call in the Vertical Service Activation Codes, since those * codes start with *1.

  • SPA 122 remove restricted access domains

    Hello
My spa 122 has a customization profile active and i want to remove it. But i don't know how to do it. Firmeware Update, Factory reset, disabling provisioning don't help.
I tried to create a sample config file with the Cisco Profile Compiler but no luck, the spa 122 tell me everytime Restore failed...
All i want is to remove the settings from the customization, like "restricted access domains" ect.
    Can anyone help me?
    Thanks

  • SPA-122 issues

Well what can I say ?  we purchased a few 122's for testing & product evalation and with the latest firmware SPA1xx_1.1.0_011.bin about a week after flashing it, there is now static sounds and buzzing coming from spa-122 ata, once I swapped out the spa-122 for a good old pap2t or my 2102 units works like a charm sounds great and no issues period, Has anyone seen or heard of an issues reguarding  dialtone static/buzzing sounds?
    Thanks

FYI, just got today another inacceptable response from Cisco, honestly I'm very frustrated with this new SPA122 that has been release to public without proper QA, that replacement of the SPA2102 should NOT has been release to public, I have a OPEN CASE since September 2012 > 9 months open ticket, troubleshooting hell with them, and they can't even offer me a replacement, upgrade to working product, offer alternative... Warranty is about to expire, then I'll be stuck with a broken, untested and useless device. What are our rights?!? I may sound very ULTRA frustrated, well I AM. Cisco customer service suck with VOIP product. I've been in network engineering for > 22 years, never experience that low quality support with Cisco and other vendors... I can't even escalate the issue to upper, they are just not cooperative. Not only EVERY owner of an SPA122 are having unstable issues, well too bad for us for purchasing that item, we are alone without support and endless efforts on reseting the bad not working devices...
Patrick Born, can you do something for me (us), do you think it's acceptable that kind of services?
Response of today: That's quality and service...

The issue you reported remains open with Engineering & Development teams.
This issue may be addressed in a forthcoming Maintenance Release firmware,
however there is no ETA for this release. We will continue to monitor

updated information becomes available. Please let us know if you have any
    questions.

  • SPA 122 ATAs not registering

We provision our SPA 122 ATAs via a provisioning server. We have been using this method successfully to register our ATAs with our voice server. For the past two days we have been unable to register any 122 ATAs. The ATAs are pulling the configuration, as well as the upgrade file (spa122-1-2-1-004), however they are not registering. When we use the same method for the old SPA 2102 ATAs, the configuration and the upgrade file are downloaded and the ATA registers. Should also note that the SPA 122 is also receiving an IP address and we can browse the internet through the device. We would appreciate any advice you can give.
    Regards,
    Nikolas Rock

We need to look at the debug log to see if the phone is sending out any registration messages.
https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9862 for info on setting up debug log.
If it's not sending out messages, we need to see the configuration.  Thanks.

  • Creating Equipment With Same Equipment No. In Different Maintenance Plant

    Dear Gurus,
Is it possible to create equipment with same equipment No. (external Numbering) in different maintenance plant of same company code?
We have 2 plants, plant 1000 & plant 1100 & the geographlocal locations are different. These 2 manufacturing plants belong to same company code. We have implemented plant maintenance system for plant 1000 & now want to roll out the same system at plant 1100. In plant 1000 we have equipment with equipment No. M323 (External Number). Now we want to create equipment with same no. in plant 1100. How can this be done? or is it necessary to have different no.? please advice.
    Regards,
    Abhijit Khandekar

    Dear Friend
As Equipment master data is client specific, you cannot have the same equipment number for same category of equipment, though plants are different.
Yes, you can do it if equipment categories are different.
I hope this will resolve your query if not let me know.

  • Configuring SPA 3102 with Ooma Telo Problems

Does anyone have any experience with configuring the SPA 3102 with the Ooma Telo devise. I have been around and around on this with no luck. I have been able to get into my 3102 ip address fine, but I need a proxy server to configure the 3102 with my existing Ooma device. Ooma doesn't seem to have one to dish out. Ooma is also saying that they don't have a portal for configuring external devices to the Ooma.
Has anyone ever tried to connect the two? I'm just trying to cut my losses here and move on if this is futile.
    Thanks anyone!
    Duncan

Wrong forum, post in "small business voice - SPA phones". You can move your post using the actions panel on the right.

  • SPA 122 Firmware upgrade

We just upgraded SPA 122 to version 1..1.1 Ver 011. After the upgrade SPA cannot register to the PBX to which it was registered before. PBX doesn't even show any registration attempts by it. From the SPA we can ping the domain to which it is trying to register. Confused.

    Thank you Patrick,
Here is the result of the capture after these instructions. Interestingly in this log I do not even see an attempt to register line 1. We have configured line 1 to register to localpbx and line 2 to register to babytel trunk...

I have tried to get the SPA2102 to register to CUCM with no luck.  However, there was another way to get them to talk.
Setup a Cisco router with SP Services IOS as a SIP Gateway.  Build a "voice" dial-peer for incoming calls, build another for outgoing calls to the SPA2102, and another to the CUCM.
Configure the SPA2102 to NOT register with SIP Proxy and to point to the Cisco router instead.
    This costs NO DLU's.
Depending on how your dial-peer's are configured you can have both lines appear as the same number.or different numbers.

  • Tyre history maintain along with Fleet Equipment

    Dear SAP Expert,
Please suggest us how can I maintain the TYRE History(Running Km,transfer from one Equi to Other Equi.) details with Fleet Equipment.
Kindly, give us solution as soon as possible.
    Regards
    Akhilesh

    Dear Friend,
you can follow as pushpa says or else create your fleet object as one functional location and all parts example - engine, tyres and hydraulic system as equipments  and install them in that location. Create measuring points for all thos eequipments and create ENTRYLIST using t.code IK31 and assign all related measuring points to that list.
if you are replacing any tyre of fleet object-1 by fleet objcet-2, just dismantle it form that functional location and assign new functional location.
with this you can have report of how many days it was with fleet onbjet -1 and how many dayw with fleet object-2 assigned.

  • SPA 122 stops working with both PHONE 1 and 2 lights flashing

    Hi,
We have hundreds of units deployed and we start having complaints that the line isn't working anymore while the unit does register with our server. Any calls going to the ATA gets a USER_BUSY condition like if a line was offhook but that's not the case.
Anyone had this condition? I am running 1.3.1(003).
One common thing so far is the fact those users do faxing but we ruled out config since we enable T.38 on all of them regardless.
Since the unit registers, we can't rely on the REGISTRATION too much so would like a way to figure out if the unit is healthy or not.
    Thanks,
    Benoit

Please update to 1.3.2(014) and see if this resolves the issue.

Dose that mean this command "match protocol sip" is only supported for Cisco device?
Try to use ACL to match udp port 5060 for the QoS, and it is working.
Try to use comster "ip nbar custom" to re-write the nbar and it is doesn't accept.
Please help to clarify how to use this command.

    Hi Patrick
I am working on this one as well. I have a UC560 with SIP Trunk provider Les.NET.
It was working fine until a few weeks ago when something changed on the provider end and broke it. My hunch it is something to do with the SIP REFER.
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/voice-unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-express/91535-cme-sip-trunking-config.html
Here is an excerpt from the above page:
    Call Transfer
When a call comes in on an SIP trunk to an SCCP Phone or CUE AutoAttendant (AA) and is transferred, the CME by default will send a SIP REFER message to the SP proxy. Most SP Proxy Servers do not support the REFER method. This needs to be configured in order to force the CME to hairpin the call:
    Router(config)#voice service voip
    Router(conf-voi-serv)#no supplementary-service sip refer
Figure 3 shows the behavior of the CME system with the REFER method disabled.

  • Using TASCAM US-122 with GarageBand...doesn't seem to work

And not only with GarageBand...the software that the US-122 came with isn't even picking up the signals omitted from the TASCAM itself. I hooked up a keyboard to my TASCAM using a cable (I'm not sure what it's called...but it's the same thing you would use to connect a guitar with an amp), plugging each end into the INPUT (TASCAM) and OUTPUT (keyboard) jacks. The interface is showing me signs that the connection to and from the keyboard works via flashes on a green LED...but when I try to clarify the connection on my computer, the software (tuner, buffer, etc.) won't show any signs of connection. The USB cable is connected, I set my sound up exactly the way the instruction manual for the TASCAM said to, but it's just not picking up. It could be the interface itself, however...I can't hear anything when I plug a pair of headphones into the US-122. Do I have to use a MIDI cable, or is my interface not operating properly? Help me, please!
    iMac G4   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

You didn't mention the kind of track in GB you are trying to create, but if you are connecting the keyboard with a guitar chord to the Tascam, you will need to set up a Real Instrument Track in GB to hear anything. If your keyboard has a midi out, use a midi cable to the midi input of the Tascam, create Software Instrument Track, and you will hear something. But with a guitar chord, it won't send the right signal to a Software Instrument Track. The headphone jack in the Tascam monitors the signal coming back to it out of GB (if you choose the US-122 as your monitor in GB's preferences), so you wouldn't hear your keyboard if the track is not set up correctly. It could be the drivers, but since you didn't mention the type of keyboard or the type of GB track, I thought that might be a possible answer as well.

  • IPVC 3500 integration with Polycom Video Conference Solution

    Hi Team,
Can you please provide necessory details for integrating polycom with IPVC 3500.
    Regards
    Febin.S

I dont know IPVC details I know the Ip-Address details founding site http://www.ip-details.com/ .All the informations very fast also.

  • Problem with Polycom PVX

When using Polycom PVX windows based IP video conferencing software the remote site can see and here me but I am unable to see and hear them. The VC working correctly with an older Netgear wireless router and if I bypass TC completly and connect directly to the cable modem. I have configured my TC to open ports 1720, 5060, and 3230-3237 and have also tried configuring TC so my pc is a local host and therefore in a DMZ - but problem is not resolved.
Btw - this is the same problem that Luc Therrien posted an earlier unanswered message back in March 08.
    Any suggestions welcomed.

To resolve the problem had to do the following:
    i) Open ports in TC as specific by Polycom PVX
    i) In TC reserve an IP address for my laptop in the DHCP reservation list
ii) In Polycom PVX Setup - manually specify the external IP address. This is provided by the ISP and can be determined from TC on the Internet Connections tab (IP Address).

  • Mac wireless connectivity with DLNA-equipped Full Hi-Definition TVs

    Dear Friends at Apple,
I have been an avid Apple Macintosh user/advocate since 1985.
Can anyone help me I establish what is Apple proposing to do with regard to DLNA (Digital Living Network compatibility with our Intel Mac OS X 10.x.x computers?
    Background from <dlna.org> website ..
    "About DLNA:
The Digital Living Network Alliance (DLNA) is a global collaboration of 245 of your most trusted brands, all working together to help you create the home entertainment environment you’ve always imagined."
So DLNA Wireless Connectivity is being adopted now by the majority of leading Full High Definition LED-LCD and Plasma TV manufacturers.
However, I am unable to locate any information that would suggest that Apple is taking any steps to ensure wireless connectivity between my Intel MacBook Pros, Airport Extreme router and Samsung Series 9 DLNA-equipped large screen LCD-LED TVs.
DLNA as a protocol has been established since 2003. In that time, these international corporations have joined the DLNA consortium:
    http://www.dlna.org/about_us/roster/
    Where is Apple?
Surely, given the Microsoft domination of the DLNA consortium, Apple faces complete exclusion from the wireless Loungeroom Entertainment DLNA environment.
As with "Rosetta", a Mac Airport Extreme/DLNA tranlation capability should be capable of development, in order to protect Apple users who do NOT wish to ever load MS Windows on our Macs. (I happen to be one of these Apple purists!)
I would be extremely grateful if anyone could advise me on:
    1. Apple's plans for connecting to DLNA-equipped TVs and PVRs
    2. The likely timing for availability of the Apple solution?
    Thank you in advance,
    Rob Moffatt

This isn't the place to ask a technical question. You should take that up in the forum appropriate for your model of Mac.
But answering quickly, there are DLNA-compatible media server software packages available for Mac. Whether any of those would be what you are looking for I don't know. You can look here for a list, or search the web for something like "DLNA Mac".
Whether Apple has any plans for their own software no one here can or will say.
