  • Problem with SPA 2102 (no tone/phone1 led not on)

Dear All, We are using spa 2102 adapters, two of them are working fine, one has some problem. The phone1 led is not working i.e, the phone has no tone. if we connect the adapter to PC through Ethernet its working fine and the DHCP is assigning the IP to adapter. Kindly resolve the issue. Thanks.

    The problem is resolved!
I called the service provider and they told me to put the IP in the DMZ or outside friewall. But i just reserved an IP in DHCP server for this device and then put that IP in the Linksys seetings page as static IP rather DHCP.
It starts working and i was able to call and recieve calls.
    Thanks.

  • SPA-2102 automatic power cycle problem

I have the SPA-2102 with one VOIP line.  Often it will power cycle automatically every 15 minutes or so.  All three lights go off for a second and then it comes back up and works for another 15 minutes.  I had my provider replace the first one as they thought it was a faulty unit but the new one is doing the same thing.  If this happens when I am on the phone the line goes dead and disconnects.
Also I was getting close to 5Mbps then it suddenly seemed to cap out at 4Mbps once this problem arose.
    Suggestions?
    Thanks

If you observed that every 15 minutes the SPA2102 is really turning off, is can be a sign of harware problem. I suggest contacting Cisco Tech support to further look into your concern. I believe this unit belongs to the business series devices that Cisco is now supporting. Try to go to this link for the other business series devices and the site where you can get hold of Cisco for support:

  • T400 Power Problem: Flashing AC Power LED, No Battery Charge, Screen Flicker, No AC Boot

I bought a refurbished T400 less than 3 months ago. Today the power status change beeps started going off every minute or so, the power indicator light went off (while plugged in) and the battery began discharging. At the same time, the screen started flickering.
I powered down and tried draining the static by using the old trick: removing the battery and ac plug and pressing the start button 10 times and then holding on the 11th try. Didn't solve the problem.
When I use battery only, the screen doesn't flicker.
Plug in power and the screen starts flickering again, with the power LED mostly off but occasionally flickering on briefly. The battery is not listed as charging. Nothing to indicate that the power is plugged in, except for the occasional flash of the LED and the power status change beeps.
When I power down again and stay plugged in both the power LED and the battery LED keep flashing. First both are flashing green, but in a few minutes the battery light turns flashing orange.
If I remove the battery, both LEDs keep flashing. Try to power on that way and nothing happens - the LED's keep flashing, but it doesn't power on at all
Battery is new (the first one shipped wouldn't hold a charge at all; this one lists as good condition).
I don't have another Lenovo power supply to try, but the current one doesn't appear damaged or bent at all. I tried jiggling it while plugged in and there was no change.
The last thing I did before the problem began was remove a scanner from the usb port. I heard the thinkpad ports were fragile, so I am always very careful and gentle when using. I cannot see any damage to the ports.
I have about 70% battery charge left to work with, according to power manager.
My 30 day warranty is over, so I either figure this out, or I'm out the purchase price of $260., which I know is cheap for a replacement laptop, but a lot for only ten weeks of moderate use.If it's the motherboard I don't think it would be worth replacing - am I wrong? But what else can it be?
Any troubleshooting suggestions greatly appreciated. Please help! Thanks in advance for reading.

Thank you so much for the quick reply. It is a fake adapter - no lenovo written anywhere.
Now what? Should I test the unit with another adapter, or check the output of the adapter?
I hope that is the only problem, that would be wonderful. I'll update when I know more.

    Hello @NoGameNoLife,
I have read your post on how your notebook computer is not able to power on, and I would be happy to assist you in this matter!
Since there is a blinking orange light where the AC adapter plugs into your computer, I recommend following this document on Computer does not start and the LEDs blink or the computer beeps, as well as Using and Testing the AC Power Adapter. This should help to restore the power to your notebook.

  • HP Envy 15" TouchScreen Power LED shows up, but fans not running and screen does not come on

    Hello there!
I am a 1A Software Engineering student at University of Waterloo, and I am running into a very serious problem with my HP Envy 15" TouchSmart laptop running Windows 8.1. This is a problem that just started today, and I would rather get some support from here first before I go see the technical support office sometime tomorrow; it has to do with the screen and fans where the Power LED lights up white, just as when the laptop is running properly.
(I do have warranty on the laptop since it was bought last June, except that if I find out I need to get a replacement, I'll lose all of my work I've been doing on it ever since I started my semester. It's so ridiculous of me to not have all of my work saved on a backup, as I do have an external hard drive. Trouble is, I got way too many problems in getting myself organized, I am not being open-minded as I should, and worst, I am not finding a balance between homework and life.)
Before I had my MATH 117 (Calculus 1 for Engineering) lecture, I was in a lab nearby where my laptop was opened and turned on, functioning properly. I had NetBeans IDE running since I wanted to work on the second part of my current CS 137 (Programming Principles) assignment. Because it was almost time for my lecture, I closed the laptop by simply moving the screen back down onto the keyboard, where it goes into sleep mode. (Anytime I flip up the screen, the laptop is supposed to come back on, and the login sliding screen from Windows 8.1 shows up.)
When I took my seat for the lecture, I wanted to spend a little bit of time to work on my programming assignment. However, upon flipping the screen back up, instead of having the login screen show up, I encountered the problem: the Power LED is showing a white light, but I can't hear the fans running from the vents on the left side of the laptop, and the screen does not turn on. I did try to hold the power button for several seconds, and once at least 10 seconds, except that the Power LED keeps on showing a white light. The light for the Wi-Fi board does not show up.
Whatever it is, I don't want to pull the battery out because I did do that on my last laptop, and it was from there that I couldn't turn the old one back on again. If I pull the battery out from the Envy laptop, it'll short-circuit the connections from the battery to the computer, and thus several components will fry. For now, what I'm doing is leaving the laptop as is to drain the charge on the battery. And then, once I notice that the Power LED does not show a white light anymore, plug the AC adapter, then try turning the laptop back on using the Power Button.
It's going to take a little while for the circuit to drain the charge on my battery though...
Anyway, would you please be so kind as to help me out with this issue? I would really appreciate it if you can give me several recommendations. Thank you!

  • [VIA] KM4M-V: When powered on, Power LED not lit

Hi, I have a problem with my KM4M-V... I bought this mainboard after my previous mainboard couldn't work, but after buying, it doesn't solve the problem. When I switched on my PC, my HDD LED is lit, but my Power LED is not. I changed a new Power Supply but it doesn't work too. Can anyone tell me what is the problem? Thank you!

Suggest you press button above then Forum Profile Information and create a signature like mine; it will saves us a lot of time and effort.  It will take you a few minutes but advice will be more specific and productive.  Notice information we need for psu, both of those you have tried.
Did your old motherboard ever work or did it just die on you without warning?  If both boards display same symptoms than your problem most likely rests with one( or more) other components.
For troubleshooting take motherboard out of case and barebone it, i.e cpu/hs, vga, 1 stick of memory; you can jumper power switch pins with screwdriver to fire it up.  Simply a case of replacing components until culprit is found.

  • WRT150n stopped working...Power LED OFF

    Hi,
My router suddenly stopped working. LEDs are glowing in weird manner.
    Power LED is OFF
LAN/Internet LED are ON (even though nothing is connected to it).
    I dont know whats wrong.
Coincidently, the same thing has happened to my previous netgear router also. Same problem. Same status on LEDs.
Does anybody know of this issue?
    ~Ishwar

What do you mean the "power supply is fine"?  Did you test it?  Isn't the power light still off on the router?

  • Error message a.2 beep/power LED codes

have a new 8200 elite convertible mini tower that has beep/power LED codes of 4 beeps - power LED blinks red 4 times @ 1hz - probable causse power failure - power supply overloaded - check storage devices expanion cards and/or system board (CPU power connector P#3 what does this mean?

    Hello ben2039,
Try these solutions in this order
1.Check that the voltage selector, located on the rear of the power supply, is set to the appropriate voltage. Proper voltage setting depends on your region.
    2. Open the hood and ensure the 4-wire power supply cable is seated into the connector on the system board.
    3. Check if a device is causing the problem by removing ALL attached devices (such as hard, diskette, or optical drives, and expansion cards). Power on the system. If the system enters the POST, then power off and replace one device at a time and repeat this procedure until failure occurs. Replace the device that is causing the failure. Continue adding devices one at a time to ensure all devices are functioning properly.
    4. Repair / Replace the power supply
    5. Repair / Replace the system board.

  • Computer does not turn on, power LED goes off when power button is pressed

My Pavilion 17-e078nr has stopped working, it will not power on. When you push the power button, the power LED next to where the plug is goes off and takes several minutes before it comes back on. I've tried removing the battery and get the same results and with the batter in and AC disconnected the power button does nothing. I've also tried the hard reset with no luck. As far as I know, nothing has happened to the computer since last time it worked. My two theories are either the AC power is bad, or there is a problem internal to the laptop. The AC power is providing the 19.5V, I measured it using a multi meter, I'm just not sure if it's providing the required wattage, or if the connection to the laptop is secure, it feels a little loose, but at the same time the LED comes on, so I know it's getting a connection. Only thing I can think to try is go to a store that sells this type of computer and see if I can use one of their power supplies to power my computer, and/or plug my supply into one of their computers. Don't know how willing any store would be to allow me to do that though. Any one have any additional thoughts or advise?

Hi! I have the exact same problem... the LED on adapter, is very, very dim when connected.
At first I tried connecting my macbook to my roommate's adapter and had the same problem. then tried taking out the battery, and still had the same problem. I did the same thing with my roommate's macbook, but hers did actually turn on! it operated without the battery. Figured out it was problem with mine.
I kept on trying combinations battery, computer and adapter. turns our that my battery (which I thought at first was the problem) charges perfectly on my roommates mac, but wont charge on mine. her adapter won't work either on my computer. What I've been doing is charging my battery on her computer, then placing it on my mac, and it works. only thing that won't work is the adapter.
Went to a mac store, and they told me that the problem was a small cable o wire that went from the Magsafe point into the mac and that the LED was very dim because no energy was being drawn from that spot because of this little wire being broken. they gave me the name of this wire... very technical stuff so, completely forgot cause I didn't have anything near to write on.
I'd like to know if anyone has gone through this same ordeal, and had this wire replaced without any problems. When it comes to opening up my mac, I'm a bit skeptical, since warranty is expired and wouldn't want for a solution to become a bigger problem.

  • Power LED flashes, firmware updates good, and can still access the router

I have a wrt54G first version as there is no version number. About two months ago, the power led started dropping out and with a reset worked for a day or so, then, it became worse, every hour, and now only a couple of minutes. according to the help side of this site, the router will not be accessible, but it is. I upgraded to the 4.7.1.1 firmware, the problem continues, un plug and start it up. Any ideas? Could it be the 12 volt power supply going bad or over shooting the power?

yes, that is the level, verified at the router. the help side of this site says that if the led flashes like this that it would be corrupt an un accessible, but a restart of the router stops it, and it is accessible, moreover, the upgrade fails since that is the level at the router. just that it is happening about every 15 minutes (8/3) - could it be that comcast is sending packets of ??? to blow out routers? Thee state they don't like people using routers - that you are not supposed to use more than one computer with their broad band connection. Yes - serious, the e have said this twice in the last 6 months. Don't know what it could be, Saturday - Sunday it has not dropped out at all

  • Front Panel Power Leds

    Hello Community!
It has been a couple of weeks now that I have been experiencing the following issue:
The on/off power button does not light anymore, neither in blue (operating) nor in orange (stand-by). My PC is working properly, no further issue.
What could the cause be and how can I resolve this problem?
    Thanks for your help.

I understand that you are having issues with the LED light indicating the unit is powered on or in standby mode is no longer working. I suspect the Power LED indicator is no longer working and needs to be replaced. You can order the Power LED holder assembly (Part Number - 499769-ZH1) from the HP Parts Store and replace it. If you do not feel comfortable doing this yourself you can contact HP Technical Support for repair options as well.

  • Hi, I'm having a macbook pro here and it spoiled after a year of using, i though it was the power adapter problem because when i try to charge my mac battery that is depleted it shows a very dim light and my mac won't start up

Hi, I'm a macbook pro user but recently my macbook just spoiled, i though was my power adapter problem because when i charge my mac battery that is depleted, it shows a very dim light and my mac just won't start up, even i bought a brand new 80 euro power adapter it still give out the same result.

when I switch it on, the little led  light it up and u can hear the fun running and after 5 to 10 seconds switched off again /  ive got all my recordings in there
Try Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
If that doesn't help, try Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)

  • PC won't boot, power LED on but, can't power up

I've tried everything and at this point I think it's my power supply.
I came home yesterday and my PC was off (it was on when I left).  I noticed the power LED was on (steady, not blinking) but, none of the switches would work.  I tried unplugging the PS and letting it sit for awhile and then trying it again but, again it wouldn't boot and the power LED just stays a steady green.
I only have 18amps on my +12V rail could this be the problem?  See my signature for complete specs.  I'm running an Antec Silent Power 350w PS (it came with my Antec SLK2650 case).
    Any thoughts?
P.S. What does a solid power LED light indicate?  I couldn't find info on this anywhere.

I just ran out and bought a new power supply with 26A on the +12V line.  It was an Antec True 430 or something like that.  Nothing happens still.  The green light indicating power lights up and stays on but, nothing turns, no fans, no hard drives, nothing.  I'm thinking at this point it's the motherboad ... again!
Oh, just in case I checked to make sure the board was grounded correctly everywhere and it was, I'm guessing something got shorted on the either the ATX 12V line or the bigger power line that goes to the motherboard...
Oh well, no more MSI for me guys, they just don't want to cooperate with me.
