SPA 3000 to SPA 2000 Back to back remote extention setup

hi all,
I need some help in setting up a PBX off-premises remote extension.
I have a SPA3000 and a SPA2000 connected back to back on my lan.
PSTN - SPA3000 - SWITCH - SPA2000 - PHONE
Everything works OK, but I need it to work through the intenet somehow...
I have no idea how to do it and I will appriciate any ideas.
I was told I need to register with VOIP service provider, but it gets a little expensive to register two adapters.
Please let me know what can be done.
BTW. I am using dynamic IP in both locations.

Lets assume that userid1 is 123456789.  To make a call to that user you would call [email protected]  Assuming userid2 is 987654321 to make a call to that user you would call [email protected]
Edit:  I believe you can also do it by dialing the 9-digit userid, but I haven't tested that.
I believe you would substitute one of the above sip uri's for your [email protected]
With your direct ip dialing you had settings of Register No, Make Call Without Reg Yes, Ans Call Without Reg Yes.  You changed Register No to Register Yes to get the voip provider to register.  If you change Make and Ans Call Without Reg to No then you won't get a dial tone if for some reason registration fails.  This would give the caller at the distant end a heads up as to why the call was not working.  You are not required to change it, though.
When you go over the internet it is possible to have some Network Address Translation (NAT) problems that you didn't have with a local network depending on the routers that you are using.  These generally show up as one-way audio problems.  They are usually solved by using NAT Mapping Enable, NAT Keep Alive, and some other settings including possibly a STUN server.

This group screen is infuriating.  Why do I have to post my question twice?!?!
I registered for MobileMe, but when I go to www.me.com I'm brought back to the setup screen and I can't get past it.  How do I get to the site that allows me to find my iPad?

You go to http://me.com/find/ on your computer.
On your iPad, you use the free Find my iPhone app from the AppStore.

PhotoBooth is not on the iLife disk which has iMovie and Garage Band.  PhotoBooth is integrated into OSX, so it's not going to be easy to get back.  You'll need to get it from the recovery disk or partition.  Which OSX are you using so we can point you in the right direction.  NEVER delete any of the OSX programs.

  • HT4859 I want to go back to the setup assistant

I already set up my new iphone 5.
Now I want to restore from a backup of my iphone 4 from the cloud.
    How do  I do that?

Go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase the phone and bring it back to the setup assistant.

  • SPA-3102s back-to-back

Hello, we are trying to use two spa-3102 boxes in a back to back configuration to provide phone lines to a construction site (via a Cisco wireless bridge) like this:
    (PSTN)--(SPA3102 FXO PORT)--(Wireless Bridge)--(SPA3102 FXS PORT)--(Phone/Fax)
We have voice calls passing correctly in both directions, and the phone/fax machine at the construction site is able to receive faxes most of the time, but they are unable to send outgoing faxes. When the fax machine attempts to dial, you can hear the machine pick up, dial the number, and then there is a few moments of silence followed by a fast busy signal. Any ideas?
    Thanks!

If the dialing waits until the interdigit timeout and then gives a fast busy it usually means that the digits dialed are not correct. If the dialing is "back-to-back" as you say, you probably are dialing some code that sends a sip uri for direct ip dialing. There are a number of variables involved.
You should be able to view the last dialed number on the INFO tab.

  • Wow!!! What happened...I'm back to OSX setup?

Ok so I upgraded to Lepoard on my power PC, PowerMac Dual 1.25 and life was great for a few weeks. Then I upgraded to iLife 08. iMovie 08 wont run on the power PC chip so it installed an older version. I edited some video, saved it and tried to export to iDVD. iDVD hung, I tried force quit and nothing. I restarted and ran software update. After updating I had to restart. After the restart I got the Mac OSX install setup assistant. Wondering what to do I went through the steps and the end I clicked "Done" and it took me right back to the beginning of the setup assistant screen, asking me to choose a language. I have restarted a nothing seems to work. Any ideas what has happened here?

Mac OS X 10.5: Setup Assistant appears after every restart
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306998
    From above:
Start up with a Safe Boot. (hold down on the Shift key on restart)
When the login window appears, do not attempt to log in. Instead, click the Restart button located at the bottom of the login window and let the computer restart normally. (If the Restart button is not displayed, click the Back button, then click the Restart button.)

  • HT4623 Updated iPad2 to ios 7.0.4. iPad restarts and wants to go through setup. I get to the "Set Up iPad" screen; it is asking to restore or setup as new iPad. I pick "Restore from iTunes Backup". I do the restore, but it loops back again to setup

the iPad seems to be in a loop between setup and restore.  Not sure if I did something wrong, maybe selecting a wrong option after the ios update.

    You are most welcome

  • Loading os 8.3 has locked up my air pad 2. It recycles back to a setup prompt and after the setup questions are answered the screen goes black. Can anyone help?

ccan't use air pad 2. It will not do anything but ask setup prompts after trying to update to 8.3. Stuck in some kind of a loop. A hard reset does not work

    Hey There Rlwomack,
It appears your update to iOS 8.3 may not have completed successfully.  Take a look at the steps in the article to address this issue.

I've highlighted the key information here for you.  Click on the article for complete details.
If your screen is black or frozen
First, try to force your device to restart.
Forcing your device to restart won't erase the content currently on your device.
You can force your device to restart even if your screen is black or your buttons aren't responding.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons at the same time for at least 10 seconds until you see the Apple logo.
    Hope that helps ...

  • Extend telephone system extension to home - PAP2 and SPA-3102

    Hi All,
I was wondering if someone could explain if this setup is easily implemented, or if it would be best left to a professional!
In short I am trying to extend one of my office telephone extensions to my home. I have found this product/setup on eBay which does exactly what I want it to but it carry's a rather large price tag.
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Voip-adapters-Extend-your-telephone-system-anywhere_W0QQitemZ280227103178QQihZ018QQcategoryZ34165QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262
I already have the PAP2, and am planning on buying the other piece of hardware but I just wanted to check that this is something I could setup myself. Any and all advice will be gratefully received!
    Kind regards,
    Matthew
P.S. I am fairly familiar with networking but I have very limited knowledge on VoIP.

    Hello,
look at this page http://www.provu.co.uk/support.html , check manuals named :
    Linksys ATA Back-To-Back 1x SPA-3000 and 1x SPA-1001.(pdf)
    Linksys ATA Back-To-Back 2x SPA-3000.(pdf)
    Linksys ATA Back-To-Back 2x SPA-3000 and 1x SPA-2000.(pdf)
SPA-3102 has VoIP and PSTN part moreless identical to SPA-3000, just has additional build-in network router
SPA-2102 has VoIP part moreless identical to SPA-2000, just has has (like SPA-3102) build-in network router
    PAP2T is similar to SPA-2000
PAP2 is very similar to SPA-2000
SPA-1001 is (except of dual voip registration) similar to one half of PAP2 - VoIP adapter with one port for analog phone
Thus using the mentioned info you shall be able to setup phone line VoIP extension.
Your knowledge of networking will come handy, the network setup is important part of this setup.

  • How do you pull the deleted pictures back to original position?

Recently, I just deleted some of the photo in the iphoto but then I found I want some of them back.
So Is there any easier way to pull those photos( like 3000 to 4000 pics) back?
And if there is any good advise about how to clean the Mac Pro, I would really appreciate for sharing!!!

As i understand it, you can only get photos back to your library by putting the photos into camera roll or use photostream.
I am not sure that iphoto is the best way to manage your pictures from if you have your main library on a Mac or PC. i beleive its more for the Ipad user who keeps the files on the Ipad without transfer. This is ok for the happy snapper but not for an enthusiast or above.

  • How can i Restore Photo's from my previous Iphone 4s icloud back up!!!

Hello guys i am new to apple discussion but here goes...
last month i had to get my iphone 4s replaced but before i did i made a back up on icloud, when i go on icloud on my new iphone, then go to manage storage it says i have 2 back ups, 1 from this iphone & 1 for my first iphone the thing is i would like my photos from my 1st iphone 4s backup either on my computer or my phone any ideas... nothing else just the things from photo roll i can quite clearly see the back up is there just carnt access it :s
All in all i really would like my photos from my previous icloud back up restored some how,
    please write back people
    Thankyou Bradleigh

You can't just restore the photos, you would have to restore the entire backup, then import the photos to your computer, then restore to your current backup to get your current data back.  This will be a somewhat lenghty process.
If you want to do this, first back up your phone to iCloud as it is now (Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Back Up Now).  When done, go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  Next go through the setup screens on your phone and when given the option choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below), choosing your old backup to restore from.
After restoring, import the photos to your computer as described here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Then Erase All Content and Settings again, go back through the setup screens again choosing Restore from iCloud Backup, and this time choose your current backup to restore from.  This will return the phone to its current state.  Finally, if you want the photos you recovered back on your phone, put them in a folder on your computer, then select the folder to sync to your phone on the Photos tab of your iTunes sync settings and sync your phone.

  • Required back up plan

I am fairly new to server app. Could someone please let me know what all things I should back up just in case my server crashed I could rebuilt another one using the backed up resources ? I am not using a time machine back up at the moment. Is there any other way I could manually backup server files which may include network user list ? Also please me know how I restore this after crash ? Thanks a lot Guys.

In my opinion, your 2 best back ups are using an external drive like a USB drive with Time Machine and a cloning software like Carbon Copy Cloner or SuperDuper!. I back up my servers everyday with Time Machine and weekly with SuperDuper!. All files are backed up with those two apps.
I just completed changing two Mac Minis running OS X Server 2.2.5 (Mountain Lion) to use a Fusion Drive. After reinstalling OS X Mountain Lion on both, I used my Time Machine back up during Setup and migrated all my user accounts/settings/apps and data. When I rebooted the Minis, all I had to do for OS X Server was launch it and it Updated itself to all the Services and Settings I previously had. All was working normally.
A clone can also be used during Setup Migration or from Migration Assistant once in the OS. Just point to the clone during the Migration.

  • HT4859 I got a new iPad mini and It said that I didn't have anything in my iCloud backup but I had all 800 of my pictures on it. How do I get them back?

I got a new iPad mini and It said that I didn't have anything in my iCloud backup but I had all 800 of my pictures on it. How do I get them back?

The new one must have been in inventory for a while or it would have the latest iOS.
To update it, connect it to your computer and open iTunes.  You may be prompted by iTunes that a newer version is available; if so, choose Download and Install to update it to iOS 6.1.3.
If you don't get this prompt, click on the name of your phone in iTunes, then click on the Summary tab at the top.  On the Summary tab, click Check for Update.  You should then be prompted that there is an update available and you can update your iPad.
After updating, as mentioned in the posts above, set it up as a new iPad, eject it from iTunes and disconnect it from your computer, then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go back through the setup screens on the iPad and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup.  You should now be able to choose your backup to restore from.  Be sure your iPad is connected to wifi and your charger as this may take some time to finish.

  • HT4859 how do i get my apps back on my ipod

we had to reset my daughters Ipod touch and if I go into the icloud on the device and then into manage storage for the device, I can see all of her games (and they all have 'on' next to them) but I cannot seem to figure out how to get them to re-download to the ipod....anyone know????

If you want to restore to your iCloud backup, this has to be done during the initial device setup.  To do this you have to first erase your iPod.  If you have any data on your iPod that is not in the backup that you want to save (such as more recent photos, you'll have to do that first.  When you're done, go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  Then go back through the setup screens on your iPod, and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud backup (see image below) and choose your backup to restore to.  Be sure your iPod is connected to wifi and your charger ans this will take some time to complete.  It will first restore your data and settings, then at then end will redownload your apps.

  • HT4859 My cloud is showing over 4gb of backed up data for a phone I no longer have. How do I get to my new phone?

My iCloud shows 4gb of data backed up for a phone I no longer have. How do I get this data to the new phone or at least see what it consists of so I can delete some of it

You can see what's contained in the backup except by looking on the phone (which you no longer have); even then, it only shows you broad categories like "Camera Roll" and your apps list.
The way you get this data on your new phone is to restore the phone to the backup.  When you do this, it overwrites your data and settings with those contained in the backup.  If you have newer data on your phone now (such as recent photos), you'll have to save these first.  Then you go to Settings>General>Reset and tap Erase All Content and Settings.  This will erase the phone.  You will then go back through the setup screens as you did when it was new, and when given the option, choose Restore from iCloud Backup (see image below).  Be sure you are connected to wifi and your charger as this might take a while to finish.
