Hi I have the SPA 3102
How do I backup the settings and then restore them?????
     Thanks

You can backup the SPA3102 settings by logging into the SPA3102 as Admin/Advanced and then saving the web page to your hard disk drive using your web browser (MSIE, FireFox, etc).  A single save will save all the tabs under the Voice tab.  Password fields are not saved.  You have to do a separate save for the Router tabs.
There is a technique to modify the saved web page which will allow you to restore the web page (without the passwords).  I haven't used that for awhile so I am not sure about the details.

  • Backup / Restore: Restore only settings of a certain App

    Hi,
I broke my BBM message log. I guess it is stores at the Backups inside the "Apps" section. But the Backup File is about 1 Week old. Or is it inside the "Settings" section?
How to restore only the files for the BBM App?
Would be a mess if it would also replace the current data files of all the other Applications. The *.tar Files inside the backup file seems to be in a special format.
    Best regards,

    Hello,
The very granular backup/restore methodology from the legacy Desktop Software does not exist in LINK. Rather, just the three levels...this thread had a discussion, with information from a BTA, about what data is in which of the three:

  • Backup & Restore non-administrators Group Policy Settings

    Hi,
I'm trying to setup a few reference images of Windows 7 which will be deployed to our client computers. The baseline Group Policies are configured through Local Group Policies set in the image. I've setup a Master GPO machine on which to build the policies
    and test them.
The Local Group Policies have been set for Local Computer Configuration, Local User Configuration and for Local Non-Administrators Configuration. The thinking is that members of the local Administrators group on the computer are unrestricted and still have
the ability to do most things. Users which log onto the computer abide by the more restrictive Non-Administrators Group Policy settings.
Using the "LocalGPO.wsf" script I'm able to backup and restore Computer and User Configuration which affects all users of the machine but it does not backup the Non-Administrators Policies. Is this possible?
After some digging around in the "GPOPack.wsf" files I've found that the Machine & All Users Policies are restored by the "LocalPol.exe" file. This utility has command line switches for '-m' machine and '-u' user. So I'm guessing
that it's not possible to restore the Non-Administrators Policies?
For what it was worth I've tried copying the "Registry.pol" file from "%windir%\System32\GroupPolicyUsers\S-1-5-32-545\User" folder on the GPO Master machine and placed the file in the same location on target computer. A test which had
one value set worked on the reference computer but when the policies were copied form the GPO Master machine, the target computer ignored all the settings.
Any ideas how to backup/restore Local Machine Non-Administrator Group Polices?
    Thanks!

Not entirely sure of the specific policies you're dealing with, but you would typically use the Microsoft Security Compliance Manager to create GPO packs that you would then apply using the Apply Local GPO Package task sequence step in MDT.
I'd encourage you to look over the Applying Group Policy Object Packs section of the
Using the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit.docx file in the MDT 2013 documentation for more details.

  • Manual backup does not backup/restore photos or music.

According to HT4946, performing a manual backup of an iOS device (in this case, an iPhone 4S) to a computer should backup basically all settings, all apps, and all user data, including photos and such. This has not been my experience. Background: I work for a mid-size company and support executives that use iPhones. When their devices break, we need to backup their device and then restore the backup to a new device. Even though these are "work phones", they also contain the users' personal photos, music, etc.
Today I went through this process for one of our employees. The power button on his iPhone 4S (64GB running iOS 7.1.2) had broken, so we were going to move him to a new device. I backed up the entire phone to my Mac (Mavericks with iTunes 12.0.1.26) and used the encryption option to make sure passwords were also moved to the new device. The backup completed successfully, so then I plugged in the replacement device (also a 64GB iPhone 4S running 7.1.2) to perform the restore. After the restore finished, all of the apps were there, email worked, contacts were restored, etc., but none of the photos or music had been restored to the device. None. The broken iPhone had about 20GB free, so about ~40 GB of data on it. The backup in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup is only <11 GB in size.
Apple's own support documents say that photos are backed up during this process:
    What iTunes backs up
Photos (photos, screenshots, images saved, and videos taken) and Saved Photos (in devices without a camera).
So, why are the photos not being backed up and/or restored during this process, when they clearly should be?

This may be caused by a corrupt existing backup that needs to be deleted, or by data on your device that is causing the backup to fail.  To troubleshoot these, try deleting your last iCloud backup (if you have one) by turning off iCloud Backup in Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup, then tap Manage Storage, tap your device under Backups, then tap Delete Backup.  Then go back and turn iCloud Backup back on and try backing up again.
If it still won't back up, you may have an app or something in your camera roll that is causing the backup to fail.  To locate which one, go to Settings>iCloud>Storage & Backup>Manage Storage, tap the name of your device under Backups, under Backup Options tap Show All Apps, then turn them all to Off (including camera roll) and try backing up again.  If the backup is successful, then the camera roll and/or one of your apps is causing the backup to fail and you'll have to located by process of elimination. Turn the camera roll On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds, turn some of your apps to On and try backing up again.  If it succeeds again, turn some more apps to On then try again; repeat this process until it fails.  Eventually you'll be able to locate the problem app and exclude it from your backup.

  • WRTU54G-TM/SPA-3102/Asterisk Disconnect Tone/Busy-Reorder tone?

I have a setup where I'm using the T-Mobile@Home Router (WRTU54G-TM) as a Trunk on my Asterisk system (PIAF).  The WRTU54G (Phone 1 Port) is connected to the FXO (Line) port of the SPA-3102.  I can making outgoing calls without any problems.  However, incoming calls to my T-Mobile@home number once it hits the voicemail system on the Asterisk system and if the call hangs up before or after leaving a message, the "system" does not release the line and  not do so unless I physically unplug the phone cord from either port (SPA-3102 or WRTU54G-TM).  If I answer the cincoming calls and either party terminate the call, there is no disconnect issues;  only when the call goes to voicemail.  Is there any changes I can make to either the SPA-3102 or Asterisk, that will solve this problem/issue?
The problem seem to be related to:
    a) CPC isssue and/or
    b) Busy/reorder tone and/or
    C) Disconnect Tones (does anyone know what the specs are for the T-Mobile system?  Looks like this: 480@-30,620 @-30;4(.25/.25/1+2))
I saw on another site where an individual was able to do this:
..."Im running FreePBX on Asterisk and was able to use the busy/reorder tone by editing some lines in my zap channel config files.  My solution was to simply program the PBX to detect that busy tone that T-mobile's @Home router makes after the call has ended, and use that as a signal to know when to hang up. Worked excellently, although the tail end of our voice mail message usually records a couple seconds of the busy signal... which I decided was not worth worrying about."..........
Not sure how I would implement a similar scheme, since I'm not using any ZAP channels or digium cards.  Any help or suggestions welcome!

You could try to adjust this options on your SPA3102 PSTN Line. Under PSTN Disconnect Detection.
    PSTN Long Silence Duration
This is minimum length of PSTN silence (or inactivity) in seconds to trigger a gateway call disconnection if <Detect Long Silence> is yes.
    The default is 30.
     Try to lower the values.
    And Also PSTN Silence Threshold:
This parameter adjusts the sensitivity of PSTN silence detection. Choose from {very low, low, medium, high, very high}. The higher the setting, the easier to detect silence and hence easier to trigger a disconnection.
    The default is medium.
Regarding for the 480@-30,620 @-30;4(.25/.25/1+2. basically this it the default settings for the US Disconnect tones. No need for you adjust.
    Hope this help

  • IPhone Backup / Restore questions

Maybe this has been covered here, but I am confused about backing up the data on my new iPhone -
    1) When iTunes says "backing up iPhone" before the sync . . . what is it backing up? Contacts? Music? Pictures? Applications?
    2) What does Restore do? It seems to indicate you will lose all of your data on the phone if you run restore.
    3) If I replace my phone . . . or Apple does at some point for a battery . . . will the Backup/Restore features in iTunes restore all of my contacts, music, pictures and applications to the new phone?
While most things with the iPhone seem pretty intuitive, this whole process has me confused.
    Dave

The backup that is created and maintained by iTunes stores data such as most iPhone settings, email account settings, SMS messages, notes created with the Notes application, recent calls, call favorites, data created and stored by 3rd party applications, and photos captured by your iPhone.
No need to backup iTunes content since your iTunes content remains on your computer and should be included with your computer's backup.
Regarding contact information and calendar events, the iPhone is designed to be synced with a supported application on your computer. The exception to this is with an Exchange account or MobileMe account, which provides for over the air syncing with this data.
With Vista, you can sync contact information and calendar events with Outlook 2003 or 2007, or Windows Contacts for contact information.
A Restore completely erases your iPhone followed by re-installing the current firmware version. After the current firmware version is re-installed, you are prompted to restore your iPhone from your iPhone's backup (which is the default selection), or as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
This must be followed by a sync with iTunes to re-transfer data not included with your iPhone's backup such as all iTunes content, 3rd party applications, contact information, calendar events, bookmarks, and photos transferred from your computer to your iPhone.

    Hi jclarke64,
Thank you for contributing to the Apple Support Communities.
I'm sorry to hear that your iPhone 4s was lost, and glad that you were able to upgrade.
If your iPhone 4s was backed up to iCloud or using iTunes, you can restore the backed up data to your new phone.
See the steps in this article for help with restoring from a backup:

Can you use icloud to restore settings on a 4s to a 5?

Yes.  Just back up your 4S to iCloud, then restore your 5 to that backup.  Note: your iPhone 5 will need to be running the same or higher version of iOS as your 4S in order to restore to the backup.

  • Backup restore vs re-install

    Hi,
I was led to believe if I do backup-restore, any device's (in this case my iPad's) performances become weaker compare to re-install individual apps. (I would lose all the settings though)
I think I heard it is because it is because any OS would store some logs and alphas(?) in their memory or drive.
I would like to know if this is correct piece of information.
    Thanks all.

I would definitely use backup and restore. It will consume fewest resources and you *know* that the data is identical.
