SPA 525G an Fritzbox 7390 anmelden

Hallo zusammen,

  • SPA 525G[2]: monitor mjpeg video RTSP , remove PATH constraint

Having read the forum's guide on the topic ,
    https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9806 , and related errata
it's clear the phone can render MJPEG via RTSP.  The defect is the expectation of a needlessly specific URI PATH
    rtsp://10.20.30.40/img/jpgvideo.sav
The SPA 525G and 525G2 could easily display ANY RTSP stream of MJPEG; it certainly has the power.   If one constrained the video stream (or transcoded non-matching stream on the fly) to:
    320x240
    5 fps
    Constant Bit Rate
    (with low bitrate)
    ref:
phone would play it PROVIDED one match the INANE URI PATH
    SPA video monitoring bugs
Cannot use video monitoring with BlueTooth enabled
setting line to disabled is not enough  (admin advanced, voice, phone, bluetooth)
    SPA video monitoring defects
cannot assign video monitor to soft touch button?
INANE URI PATH filter precludes direct use of compliant video via RTSP from other IP cameras
It IS possible to use other mjpeg stream via RTSP so long as one presents inane expected PATH
Please remove the PATH filter from the phone's firmware in the next update.
SPA525G2 video monitor DOES work with TrendNet TV-IP312  [ethernet IP Camera]
    video encoding: mjpeg
    video quality: normal
    frame rate: 5
..with some creative use of nginx or apache
I don't use wifi because I prefer quality communication with minimal or zero jitter.  Home ISPs offer [inflict] wifi as a  way to oversell (depriving you of the bandwidth you purchase)
    Question_1
When will Cisco allow PATH variations?  I understand Cisco wanting to sell integration between products.  Cisco need NOT support third party RTSP video sources.  But Cisco OUGHT NOT prevent customer providing own additional value for one's own Cisco product.
[ Consider customer use of free Open Source PBX with Cisco SIP phones:  not supported but NOT disallowed   http://freepbx.org  https://freeswitch.org http://sipsorcery.com ]
    Question_2
When will Cisco SPA video monitoring support MPEG4?  Yes, I understand there are more parameters to configure for MPEG4 vs MJPEG
    Question_3
When will Cisco SPA switch be upgraded from old timey  100BASE-TX  to  gigabit ethernet?
An appropriate reply SHALL NOT quote the above guide or section of documentation as it would insult the customer or demonstrate gross ineptitude on behalf of Cisco.

There is no reason I should have to delete my preferences every single time I want to use the program.
Sure enough, but your description of the behavior and the whole shebang crashing with ntdll indicates a file I/O or permissions problem nonetheless. So check your folder permissions, user privileges and possibly any security tools. Same for 32bit services and drivers that simply may not be compatible. A quick look in the device manager can tell you that...

  • CISCO SPA-504G & CISCO SPA-525G plug nad play???

    Hi,
we have CCM 7.1.5 and I need to add about 100 new phone/users. we received good price for this two phones CISCO SPA-504G & CISCO SPA-525G.
This one look and I think is the same linksys spa 942 phone, and for that one I need to do provisioning to get them to work.
Are this two phones CISCO SPA-504G & CISCO SPA-525G, "plug and play" does CCM recognized them like other Cisco phones (like 7941....)
    THX,
    IVan

Sounds like you need to adjust the dial plan string under the relevant Ext tab on the admin web interface of the phone.

  • SPA 525G Phones rebooting during phone calls

    Hi,
My office uses a SPA 525G system and recently phones have been randomly rebooting during phone calls, causing the calls to drop. I have seen previous forums on various sites about this being a common problem but still do not have a clear answer on what a good solution might be.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

  • SPA 525G Dictionary Server Script

    Hello,
I'm trying to make the phone, a SPA 525G (With firmware 7.4.9a), to display in the dutch language. Despite the Cisco community, Cisco adm manual, and Google it's still not working.
I'm using provisioning by the use of APACHE, PHP and MYSQL to generate a XML file. This works great, but the parameter of the Dictionary Server Script does something but nothing really changes.
    I use the fallowing XML:
    <!--# Language-->
    <Dictionary_Server_Script group="Regional/Language">srv=http://<SERVER_DNS>/Cisco/LANG/749/;d1=Dutch;x1=spa525_nl_v749.xml;d2=Duits;x2=spa525_de_v749.xml;</Dictionary_Server_Script>
    <Language_Selection group="Regional/Language">Dutch</Language_Selection>
Now the phone gives me the option to switch to Duits, Dutch of English, but nothing changes.
On the web server the language XML file aint requested by any phone, not even after a language change.
Can someone help me with this issue?
    Many thanks!

    Hi,
I have in Spanish and works great.
    serv=http://SERVER_IP/diccionarios/;d0=English;x0=spa50x_30x_en_v749.xml;d1=Spanish;x1=spa50x_30x_es_v749.xml
I know you have to have the english first as d0. And you have written srv instead of serv.
Hope it helps. (and what is Duits?)

  • Configure SPA 525G with 2911 ISR Routers

    Hey hi.
I have 10 SPA525G phones with me for which I have bought a CISCO 2911 ISR, But after configuring it up, the router says it does not support old model phones such as the 525G.
Any idea on how to install. Please help
I see discussion where people have already installed similar modules. And hence the question. Called up cisco, but they were helpless and asked me to buy new phones.

I have it working now. Thank you very much to both Dragan and Cyril for your help and guidance. It turned out the problem was a communication error between the ISP and me. We have two connections supplied by the same ISP, one for internet, one for telephony. When talking to their support we were mistakenly talking about different connections — the PPPoE credentials I was given related to the telephony connection, whereas I was trying to configure the internet connection. Once the confusion was identified I was given the correct connection info (which is not PPPoE after all), and I've got basic connectivity up and running quite quickly after that...
My sincere apologies for the wild goose chase on these forums — and again, many thanks for those who tried to help. I have learned lots from you regardless.
    Cheers,
    Kevin

  • Multi incoming calls (spa 525g - 5 lines)

    Hello,
    I got a SPA 525G2 color with 5 lines.
I don't know how correctly configurate into (web browser IP panel of my phone) to use incoming calls with it's rule :
When line 1 is busy, i would like that next incoming calls goes to the 4 other lines empty.
Cause actually, all incoming calls goes to line 1. When i'm ever on phone into line 1 you imagine well that's it's not easy to manage.
    Thanks for your help.
    Regards,
    Denis

In the Phone tab, under Miscellaneous Line Key Settings, you can
configure line mapping. Each LED (line/extension) can hold two calls. You can
assign an extension to two LEDs. The first call always causes the assigned LED to
flash. Choose one of the following:
    • Vertical first—The next LED on the phone flashes with the second incoming
    call.
    • Horizontal first—The same LED to flashes with the second incoming call.

  • UC320w SPA 525g2 background image

Does anyone know how you can add your own custom background image to the spa525g2? Before upgrading to the uc320w the spa9000 let you easily log into the spa525g2 web interface and downloand an image for you screen, now with the uc320w that part is grayed out and unavailable for change. Don't know why this seems to be so difficult. If anyone has a way to download an image to this phone to use a your main screen please let me know. Thanks

Just got back from cisco tech here are the steps in case anyone is interested in how to upload a picture via usb to the spa525 or spa525g2
If you are going to use a picture from the USB memory device, perform the
    following steps:
STEP 1 Connect a USB storage device to your PC.
STEP 2 Create a directory named “pictures” on the USB device and copy the image files
into that directory. Image files must be between 30K and 300K in size. The phone
can only read 45 images from the USB device.
STEP 3 Remove the USB device from your PC and insert it into the USB slot on the Cisco
    SPA 525G/525G2.
To change the background picture on your phone:
STEP 1 Press the Setup button.
STEP 2 Scroll to User Preferences and press Select.
STEP 3 Scroll to Screen Preferences and press Select.
STEP 4 Scroll to Wallpaper. Press the Right Arrow key to select an image to use as the
    wallpaper.
STEP 5 Use the navigation arrows to choose an image. Press Select to choose the image,
or to preview how the image will look on your phone, select the image and press
View. Press Select to choose the image, or use the Previous, Next, and Back keys.
    STEP 6 Press Save.

  • SPA phones are not registering

    hi people
i have UC 540 and i ahve one SPA504G and SPA 525G phones, when i turn on phone it gives message on screen "Downloading XML efault.cnf files" and it stays in this order until i reboot the phone and on 525G its getting main screen but not registering , just a clean front screen showing.
also same phones are registering on my other UC 540 device
    kindly help me out
    i have CME 8.6 installed
    thanks in advance

    Hello Khurram,
Jeffrey makes a valid point, either you have faulty handsets or their operating system has become corrupt.
You can either try and reset the units back to factory defaults and then plug them back into the phone system (Best to do this off a power pack with the SPA phones) and then have the phones attempt to reinitialize themselves again.
Or you can just contact SBSC and have them guide you over the phone, and if the issue still remains they can assist you with the RMA process over the phone.
    Cheers,
    David Trad.

  • SPA 50x , ignore multicast paging while on DND

    Hello,
I saw another person post this question but went unanswered.  Is there any way to make a SPA 50x ignore a multicast page while the phone is on DND ?  I have tested this with an SPA 525g and this is how it functions already but on any of my 50x's it will still page the phone if its on DND or not.  Please any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • SPA phones deregistering seemingly randomly

We have a separate network set aside for our IP phones.  The only thing beside the phones is a server to log into the phones through http.
There are potentially 60 (48 plugged in right now) phones, each of which registers via SIP to a remote server.  Most of the phones are SPA 508G but some are SPA 525G.
We have a SG500-52P-K9-NA switch, connected to a RV180-K9-NA router.  We are on a cable modem connection with 35 mbps DL speed and 5 mbps UL speed.
Right now, as we connect new phones, some of the old phones deregister.  When we then take these phones and plug them into a different network, by themselves, they re-register.  We plug them back into our network, and then a different phone deregisters.
I ran wireshark and got some 401 Unauthorized responses on SIP.   But since the phones are re-registering when plugged into a solitary network, clearly the authentication parameters are correct.
Could it be bandwidth?  Perhaps a firewall issue?  There seems to be no clear pattern as to which phones will deregister.
EDIT:  I have added the packet captures from wireshark.

  • SPA 500 Phones - Automatically dial voicemail password after voicemail number?

I  am provisioning a set of SPA 500 series phones (a mix of SPA 504g &  SPA 525g) for users in my office and would like to configure the  voicemail button to automatically send the voicemail box number and/or  voicemail password after dialing the voicemail number.
There  are two ways of dialing the voicemail system, either with *98 or with  the user's voicemail box SIP URL.  When using *98 for the voicemail  number, the user is required to enter their box number (i.e. 7890), then  their VM PIN (i.e. 1234).  However, when using the mailbox's SIP URL  for the voicemail number, the outgoing message is played as if a call  had gone unanswered, which requires the user to enter STAR+PIN (i.e.  *1234) to access their voicemail.
Can the phone be configured to dial sequences  like either *98[pause]7890[pause]1234 or [email protected][pause]*1234 ?
Ideally  the voicemail button would do all this, however if it's not possible  there, perhaps it could be done with a Speed DIal or an Unused Line  Key.  Any help in this direction would be great.
    Thanks!

Even though I am late to the party on this, I appreciate you posting  those Release Notes.  I have upgraded my firmware to take advantage of  the new dialing features.   However, I cannot for the life of me figure  out how to insert a space into the dialing string.  I am able to insert  the other characters discussed in those Notes, but not a space.  Can  anybody enlighten me?  I am using a SPA 504G.
    Many thanks.
SOLUTION (EDIT):  I found the answer.  When in the dialing field, scroll far right in the soft keys an select IP, which gives you more choices for characters in your string.  To insert a space, tap on the zero key.  The first entry is a space.  It is hard to see, even when inserted into your string, but it is there.  To insert a comma to create a 2-second pause, tap the 1 key.  And, so as to unify the solution here, I am pasting below the instructions from the release notes referenced above.
Release Notes for Cisco Small Business SPA5XX and SPA30X IP Phones Firmware Version 7.5.1a
Speed Dial Wait, Pause, and DTMF
Speed dial entries can include wait (X) and pause (,) parameters that allow manual and automatic DTMF (Dual-tone multi-frequency) signal transmission.
    Syntax:
            {Dial_String}[ ][,|X][DTMF_string][,|X][DTMF_string]
    Where:
Dial_String—The number that the user is trying to reach. For example, 8537777 or
    14088537777.
(space)—A dial termination that defines or delimits the end of the dial string. The
space is mandatory. If the phone encounters an X or a comma (,) before the space,
the characters are treated as part of dial string.
, (comma)—A 2-second pause that is inserted for each comma in the string.
X (wait)—Awaits user input and acknowledgement
    • The “Waiting for more digits input. When done, press OK to continue” message displays.
    • The user manually enters DTMF signals by using the dial pad.
    • The user selects OK, acknowledging the transmission of the manual entry is complete.
    • The phone sends any DTMF signals defined by DTMF_string.
    • The phone executes the next parameter. If there are no more parameters in the dial string to execute, the phone exits to the main screen. The wait does not timeout; the wait prompt window is not dismissed until user confirms the wait prompt or the call is ended either by the user or ended by the
    remote device.
DTMF_string—The DTMF signals that a user is sends to a remote device after the call is connected. The phone cannot send signals other than valid DTMF signals.
    Example
    18887225555 ,,5552X2222
A speed dial entry triggers the phone to dial 18887225555. The space indicates the end of the dial string. The phone waits 4 seconds (2 commas), and then sends the DTMF signals 5552. A message is displayed, prompting the user to manually dial DTMF signals. When the user has finished dialing the DTMF signals, the user selects OK to confirm the manual DTMF signal transmission is complete. The phone sends the DTMF signals 2222.

  • Using FritzBox as Modem

Hey Everyone. I have up till now been using a BT Home Hub with a 5Ghz Belkin router to control the networking in the house (essentially using the BTHH as just a modem) but its not been an ideal set up and would rather have one box than two so decided to get a FritzBox 7390 as it is a router with a built in Modem.
I have plugged the phone line in and power and then went to enter the settings I could. (VPI/VCI of 0/38, PPPoA authentication and a username of to********[email protected] but it just wont connect. Does anyone have any idea why as it would be much appreciated!
    Cheers,
    Tom

try [email protected]  and no password required.  if router wants password then just use anything -  BT or whatever

  • Using Fritzbox with BT infinity

    Hey Everyone,
I hope to be getting BT infinity installed soon and I know when you do a BT engineer and they put in a Modem AND a home hub router and they put the modem at the master socket and if you wish to move the router to a better location you pretty much just extend with an ethernet cable I assume.
The thing is, I have a Fritzbox 7390 so once the engineer is out the door I want to drop the BT kit and use my modem/router all in one that is infinity compatible but the router is set up up stairs where all my connections are and connects to the master socket via a telephone extension cable.
My question is, is a normal telephone cable suitable for connecting the router to the master socket or do infinity houses have a special master socket with a special cable to connect them.
If so what cable would I need to connect my modem for the master socket, say about 30 m.
Also, am I likely to see any speed drop by moving the modem away from the master socket. Currently I get none as Ive tested it so I'd assume its the same but you never know!

I had FTTC installed last week. I am with an independent ISP. The engineer fitted an extension cable and carried out a line test plugging his test set directly into the socket. He took one look at my router (a Fritz!Box 7390) and called for advice. He returned with his laptop to show me that my order did not include an engineer set up and he left. I saw no point in plugging in the modem as setting up the FB for VDSL was just 3 clicks on the Account page. My connection has remained stable since install with no significant errors or speed drops. In fairness to the OR engineer, he did say that I was his first ever FTTC install. If you need a data extension cable and want to use the FB-provided splitter lead then the data extension socket needs to be close to an existing telephone extension point. Best of luck.
