SPA-525G2 Multicast/Speed Dial Issue

One of our customers reported some severe issues after we placed a speed dial button on their attendant consoles for their multicast paging group.  Whenever they received an incoming call or placed an outgoing call, both streams of audio would play through the multicast group.  Removing the speed dial button resolved the issue, however they are still requesting that particular feature.
I've reproduced the issue in a lab setting, using two 525G2s and one 504G, all with attendant consoles.  The paging group is using 239.123.123.121, port 10000, number 1150 and the speed dial button can be placed on the phone or on the attendant console.  I previously used 224.123.123.121, port 60000, but tried a combination of port/address changes that were inneffective.  Initially I was using firmware version 7.4.8, but then upgraded to 7.4.9a, then to 7.4.9c, but this did not alleviate the issue.
As it stands, the issue will NOT present itself until the paging speed dial button is first used after either a reboot or a resync.  The issue does not occur if the paging group is dialed directly and it only seems to happen on the SPA-525G2.  The 504G will not activate multicast under these circumstances.
After the button is used, any incoming call will cause the 525s to multicast packets, even if the call is just ringing and not being answered.  Conversely, simply engaging the line by picking up the handset or pressing the speakerphone button will activate multicast.
Has anyone come across this issue previously?  I've searched the forum and Google, but haven't found any information thus far.

Have same exact issue with 525G2 + sidecar on 7.4.9c firmware. Problem only occurs if Page soft key or Page speed dial key is set up for page. Problem does  not happen on 525G2 without a sidecar. Page uses multicast IP and Port to their lines in the page group. After using the button, every subsequent inbound and outbound call is multicast to all members of the page group. Pretty nasty issue.

  • 9850 speed dial issue

I have a 9850 os 7.1 and have been having speed dial problems. I can touch and hold a number but the phone will not always dial. Sometimes I have to hold it for 10-15 seconds before it starts to dial. Other time I have to release and try again. I've had this issue on the past few os's .
Need BB and T-Mobile to kiss and makeup!!!

I've had that issue on mine, as well.  A battery pull usually does the trick.  To do so, remove your battery while your phone is powered on then replace it.
    I hope  that helps you.

  • Contacts and Speed Dial issue

This evening I went to call someone on my Pre Plus and my contacts were gone.  Rebooted, they came back.  Tried the speed dial again and it does not work.  The contacts DO have the speed dials assigned.  They worked yesterday....Anyone know what the problem is?  I can't find anything here about it!

    Hello and welcome to the forums;
Are any of your contacts assigned to the Z or B keys? If so, try reprogramming those contacts temporarily to another key. Also, have you tried un-assigning a speed dial and then re-assigning it to see if the speed dial comes back?
    Hope this helps,

  • Nokia 6300 speed dial issue?

Many times when I key in a number (for speed dial), it actually calls the last dialed number. For instance, I've my home number at No. 2, I press 2 and then press call, it calls the last dialed number! I try it again, it works and calls home.
But the first time is always the last dialed no. and not the speed dial number!
    Anybody else face this problem?

Tried that too, since thats the legit speed dial method explained in the manual. Same problem - goes to the last called number and not to the assigned number! Waiting for the firmware update in the hope that this may be rectified in that!

  • Bluetooth and Speed Dial Issue

I just got a new 8830, and have updated to latest software - 4.5.0.77, and am having two problems I can't find answers for.
Bluetooth - I enable Bluetooth;  it works fine.  After I power down and up again, the Bluetooth is disabled and has to be enabled again.  Why does it not just stay enabled?
When the phone is locked (enterprise server), I can't use the speed dials, even though I have the phone set to Allow Calls when Locked.  I can make calls, but not use speed dial.
My old 7130e allowed did not these things.  Are there ways to fix these?
    TIA...

  • N8 "Speed Dial" Reboot Issue...?

    (original post link)
I have pr1.0 s/w 011.012, I also think it is a custom version, will speak to my carrier and post back later.  But in the mean time it seems I am not alone with this issue.  After googling I found others seem to be having the same issue, there might be bug after all regardless of the f/w & s/w release you have.

Thanks jon, your assistance is greatly appreciated.

Yes I have the same issue, although I have'nt worked out what causes it to do this there is definately a problem.
Some are saying it might be the use of various characters like these " [ { ( ) } ] ' etc, but I dont use these in my contacts as I found out a long time ago some mobiles just dont like them.
Although it does not happen all the time, the frequency I found was about 3 out of 10, when it starts doing it it will continue to do it for 2 or 3 times in a row.
Currently I just dont use speed dial, which is a massive pain in the but.
I had created a post here which I will leave open for now and see what the outcome is.  I have searched and its clear others are having the same problem.
Come on Mr. Nokia ... time to have a look at this as I have had x3 N8's replaced because of this, and in 1 instance I was fortunate enough to show the team @ Vodafone, do I now have to show the Optus team the same issue's.
    Thanks.

  • Speed dial save issues

Doe anyone know about a fix for the Droid Eris speed dial issue. After the software update, I was re entering my speed dial contacts but info wont save. I can select a number and a slot thats marked available but when I hit save it doesnt.

I also had this problem and it seems that by doing a factory data reset (once the upgrade is installed), they work again.   I also contacted my local Verizon store and they didn't even realize it was a problem.
Just make sure you back everything up with your preferred method and then after the factory reset, re-sync your phone.
Hopefully this will also solve your problem.
Maybe I'm dumb, I've done a bit with my Droid Eris, but I have no clue how to back up the phone (especially my apps, god forbid I would have to re-download all of those) I'm sure my phone could use a hard reset, I seem to have a problem that my phone randomly turns its sounds off, i.e.. no sound when phone rings, can't hear peoples voice and vice-versa. The only way I've been able to solve that problem as of yet is just to power off and back on again.
My phone needs the help of Jesus himself! Or just someone who knows what their doing a little better than myself.

  • How to recover Missing speed dials Assistant Console Lost after DBreplication problems

                       Hi everyone,
Does anybody knows where i can recover lost speeddials (contacts) from Assistant Console (IPMA Solution)  in Call Manager Backups or RTMT files?
I have 1 cluster with 2 call managers 7.1.3  (PUB and SUB) , the phones registered to SUB and the IP of PUB configured in Assistant Console settings.
I had a problem with replication of database  between the 2 cucms ,  after i resolved the problem the IPMA solution start to work but some assistants lost part of their contacts in aplication , seems like they return to an old state , they not lost all , but some contacts (maybe the last added) .
My question is that i want to recover , somehow , the lost contacts , even in the "paper" format , in pub or sub.
I know tht i can restore the old database , but maybe the old database was corrupted because of dbreplication problems.
I read already the "Troubleshoot Missing Speed Dials Issue in IPMA   Document ID: 111006" : http://www.cisco.com/image/gif/paws/111006/ipma_speeddail-00.pdf
and its useful only to backup the actual contacts , not the missing ones.
    Best Regards.

    Hi Robert,
We have exactly the same issue.
We have opened a TAC case and the workaround was to download the new IPMA client from the Cisco website but unfortunatly that haven't solved the issue...
Have you found something on your side ?
    Regards,
    Nicolas

  • Odd speed dial setup issue

I am getting an odd speed dial setup issue.  Here are the steps:
    1. Open speed dial setup screen
    2. Tap an open slot
    3. Search for a contact using the keyboard
    4. Click on the contact to select it
If I do it that way, I am taken back to the speed dial setup screen, but the contact is NOT added to the slot.
On the other hand, if in step #3, I just scroll down the list of contacts and select a contact, it works just fine.  Seems to be an issue with the search function.  Anyone else have this problem?

The steps that you are taking correct for setting up the speed dial. I have provided a link for additional information.

  • Speed dial programs on SPA-932

On the SPA-932 (attached to an SPA-962), is there any guide to configuring the keys to perform a speed dial with a delay?
I am trying to set a key to perform a transfer which requires dialing # and then a number.  It is going to park a call so the extension is pre-known, but when I tried setting the key to fnc=sd;sub=#700@pbx-ip-here it never performed the transfer.  It appears the digits are transmitted to rapidly that the 700 happens before the transfer process initiates so it never transfers.
Is there a way anyone else has done something like this or has been able to get this to work?  This is an Asterisk PBX for what its worth.
    Thanks!

Yup, I had posted and then after it didn't show up for a few hours I had posted again thinking maybe I had just done something wrong or mis-clicked.  Then realized it was in moderation queue.

  • Q10 speed-dial and texting issues

    Hi there,
I am setting up a q10 for my wife, and i also have one.
I cannot do speed dial on my q10. I have two brand new identical devices and one can do speed dials, and one cant.. I can set up the speed dials, but it doesnt activate when i do a longpress.
Also when i longpress a number in my call log it doesnt give me the option of sending a text, whereas my other devices does.
Also when i play a song it deosnt give me the choice to add that song as a ringtone whereas it gives me that choice and other choices on my other device.
    My questions are:
Is there a way i can restore some defaults to have these features, or change options so i can have these same features that i have on my idetical device.
or is the second devices faulty> Seems odd that it would be as its brand new.

  • Unable to Edit Number Locked In Speed Dial Position

All my Speed Dial listings were ported over to a new 8900 from an 8300.  I also changed carriers.  Coincidentally, I had my old carrier's voice mail access number programmed into the "W" position in the Speed Dial list on the 8300.  That number is now in the "W" position on the 8900, which is the default position for the voice mail access number on the 8900.  I am unable to delete the old number so I can enter my new carrier's voice mail access number.  There is no EDIT option for that position, but the EDIT option is available for all other numbers in my Speed dial list EXCEPT the position Q, which has a default feature "Change Profile to Vibrate."  It would be nice to know how to delete that feature, too.  Can anyone help?

    There are three keys preassigned
    A Lock System
    Q Change to vibrate
    W Voicemail
You can change this ones, but if for any reason you reset the device, the preassigned keys come back
To change this go to phone, press menu, view speed dial list, go to the A (for ex), press enter, and choose the contact you want.
Remember to create a new contact called Voicemail or something like that to change the Voicemail Key.
If I help you with any inquire, thank you for click kudos in my post.
If your issue has been solved, please mark the post was solved.

  • Losing speed dial & can't get ringtones to work

    Hello,
I have a N95 that I seem to be having some issues with. The first is when I plug it into my computer and sync it with outlook it loses all of the speed dials as well as the associated ring tones with my contacts.
Speaking of ring tones, I can only seem to get just one to work; when I attach them to my other contacts the phone just rings with the main ring tone. Only one seems to work correctly.
    Any help would be appreciated!

Well, I found another thread that said to reset your warnings in your account, but don't do that. I was able to sign in before, but now I get the same thing you are getting, sign in over and over. itunes 7.6 is obviously very buggy and needs a fix.
