SPA122 - IVR Factory Reset Parameter not functioning

Hi Team,
We are currently experiencing an issue with the SPA122 [firmware ver. 1.2.0 (022)] whereby the following parameter does not seem to be working on the device.
<Protect_IVR_FactoryReset ua="na">Yes</Protect_IVR_FactoryReset>
We can see that the parameter is being changed (from No to Yes) through searching on the parameter list under:
http://192.168.15.1/admin/config.xml
However when 73738# and 1 is dialled the device will factory reset and lose all provisioned parameters.
Please advise on what can be done to prevent this from happening.

David Parr

Hello David,
The functionality with the parameter has now been resolved in the latest pre-release firmware for the SPA122.
Please open a case with our support center who can then provide the firmware to you.

My brand new iPad mini won't rotate done factory reset still not working. If I lock and unlock on landscape or portrait it remains in that mode. Any ideas pretty sure I've tried everything suggested such as off/on, reset, reboot, double checked lock off. It did work and I changed wallpaper and stopped motion, not sure if this related

Reset all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. Your iPad will reboot on its own. You will have to enter all of the device settings again, but no data will be lost.
I eould not spend a whole lot more time trying to fix this, if the device is really brand new. I would take it back to where you bought it, bring the box, the charger, the cable and your receipt and if they can't get it fixed, return it and get another one.

  • Factory reset problems f11 function not working

I have a pavilion zv5000 running windows xp and im trying to do a factory reset and the f11 function while booting will not work. can anyone help.

Hi deadweight1102, welcome to the HP Forums.  I understand you are unable to perform a factory reset. If the computer shows you the F11 option to do a factory reset, and it is not responding, then it is possible the recovery partition is damaged or non-existent.
Do you have recovery media, or Windows XP disks?

  • Camera's automatic focus function stopped working. Factory reset did not work. (Yes the three dots were pressed). What should I do?

I enjoyed taking pictures with one touch of the screen but now the camera does not focus no matter what I do. I did try to take it without the camera sub-menus by pushing the button with three dots and without. The focus simply does not work!
    What should I do?
I contacted LG support and they told me the whole thing might take 1-2weeks. That seems too long for me to live without a phone. Any suggestions?
    Thanks for reading my question,
    Josh

  • Possible to factory reset 7936 not through the menu

Got an issue with a 7936 where it's continually rebooting with the message 'Cannot contact TFTP Server'. It seems to be having issues getting on the network, but I've gone through everything to make sure it can get on the network successfully.
From the cannot contact tftp message, I can see it thinks it has an IP Address already assigned from previous. I want to try and factory reset the unit to try and clear this address, but it appears the only reset option is through the menu.
Is there any method of a reset like the 7940's, where holding a button down as you power the unit up clears the config?
    TIA

Sorry Guys, I had the TAC investigate this one. They advised me that the phone needs replacement. I'm thinking that the firmware upgrade got screwed up along the way. It would seem there is no way out of this one.

  • Factory Reset Will Not Start

Hello I have a Toshiba satellite A505 S6025 with windows 7 64 premium. I recently was playing a game on my laptop and it decided to crash on me. I tried to restart the computer and I got and endless loop when trying to restart the laptop in all the windows options such as Normal start up, safe mode, and last start up options. I attempted to repair windows when I started the computer and I always got a black screen with an unmovable cursor. So I got puppy Linux and I was able to recover my important files. I then attempted to perform factory reset and the warning option to delete everything on the hard drive never showed up and I get a black screen with a movable cursor. I then called Toshiba Support they told me to wait about 20 minutes and nothing happened and I noticed the hard drive blinker wasn't on. If anyone knows how to resolve this please reply when you get the chance thank you.

How are you trying to do the recovery? Are you using external media (recovery DVDs or USB stick for example) or the zero-key method?
Out of curiosity, did you know how to rescue your files already or did you learn that from the community here?

  • Notify when self password reset is not functioning as expected

    Hi Team,
We are on EP7 and we have enabled the users to reset their own passwords. This function works at times and few occasions users don't receive emails after reseting the password. All the required configurations are in place. So we are caught in a situation where we are not sure whether to advise the users to use this function or we do a manual reset of passwords for them.
Is there anyway that we get a notification when this particular service is not working as expected.
    regards
    bharat

    Hi,
you told that it is working for some users.
check the email id property of users for those who r unable to get email or smtp server down at that time?
whether that particular email domain is allowed from smtp server.

  • HP system restore and factory reset not completing

    Hello.
1:  Person tried a system restore to fix a user profile problem but once booted the OS changed the  user profile to "temporary" every time, checked the original profile but only the avatar was left , all other personal info was gone.
Working through "profiles list" in the registry and setting back to the original user profile from temp profile didn't work and went back to temporary.
Complete erasure  reset of all user profiles includig in the registry didn't work either. Went back to temporary profile.
It was no use to save any files while the OS was in this stat as every reboot would remove the files including in the temp profile.
2:  Tried all basic boot/DOS HP recovery for installed windows OS with no success, all system restore backups back several months failed.
3:  Tried a factory reset twice and while it did restore for the most part with the automated drivers installed the HP recovery  returns an error that factory reset did not or could not complete itself.  This was attempted twice.
While one could shut down the HP error screen in windows 8 and continue the failed reset booting error was still logged and it defaults to the HP receovery which ends up looping over and over again.
while still in windows once the HP error is closed one can goto the usual user name and password so  that was done  twice and with the simplest password.
Problems compounded when the OS rebooted and asked for user name and password, which returned "not valid" over and over again.   One time i entered the user "administrator" with the password "admin" and it worked, it started loading but then returned invalid username or password.  Point being that  that was not the actual user name and passowrd that was chosen and confirmed.
This part of the problem is the same as the first problem
3A:  I wiped the main and system partitions and reformatted them  and ran then HP factory reset once again, it restored faster than the first attempt, however it dropped to the same username/password error and i can't even get into safe mode any longer.
Again the system boot sequence registeres the restore as incomplete but i can boot select OS which is how i am able to get into windows to test the User/pass.
4:  I beleive that there is hardware malfunction with the hard drive controler in this system as i noticed that UEFI is intermitant no matter what settings you set in the BIOS/CMOS.  When UEFI boot CD/DVD does appear in the boot selection it can't detect the cd/dvd drive or a USB drive "invalid device".
Many of the boot options even when set in the bios will not always appear in the boot selector on every power up that includes legacy.
While i can boot from CD/DVD with the legacy boot selection. I can't install windows 8 or 7 becasue the HD is A GPT and without UEFI i don't get advanced options in the windows OS install partition setup.  Windows 7 or 8 won't install becasue the HD partition is a GPT format even after i wipe those paritions and make new ones with basic NTFS.
I could LLF the HD and hope that i could install windows 7 but the UEFI being intermitent would probably return the same resutls as the HP factory reset.   Similar problem with older computers when enabling AHCI in windows.
If i LLF the HD i loose the HP recovery completely.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks.

Hello.   The laptop is an HP Pavilion dv6 notebook PC
I have since LLF'd the HD and installed windows 8.1.  It's still touchy but it's working for the time being.
A: The laptop's owner did a standard windows system restore
B: I did two windows system restores  as well as backups.
C:  Yes i usd the F11 at boot  recovery system to run windows system restores, cleanings, and finally the factory reset. Which is obvious as i stated above that if wiped both main windows partitions and it helped the factory restore speed so only restoring an image will replace the OS on the now empty partition.
D:  No i didn't keep the failed restore logs as they were randomly scrambled with all the recover cycle loops (both times).
Also i should mention that the factory restore once it failed the completion i got "insufficient sapce"  error as well  which i am guessing that it's trying to write the log file.
If memory serves there was only 40mb left on the recovery partition.  Yes MB not GB.

  • Factory Reset not an option anymore

Hi, I am posting in the hope that someone might know better what exactly is going on with my brand new R61. My problem is that Factory Reset is not an option anymore in Rescue and Recovery. Short history of events: Laptop came with Vista. Shrank its partition with Disk Management. Booted from XP64 setup disk, installed it to new partition created in the unallocated space. Discovered no drivers from Lenovo, wanted to do a factory reset. ThinkVantage button didn't take me anymore to the RnR environment, instead it showed me a "Startup List" of some sort. Used Lenovo Recovery Repair to fix MBR. Blue Button still doesn't work, but F11 does, it goes into RnR. However there is no Factory State Reset option under Restore system. I don't have Recovery disks, cause their creation failed. Any ideas?

  • C309a all-in-one printer gets message: wireless radio is not functioning, contact HP support.

Wireless connectivity lost this morning. Don't know why. When running diagnostics, I get message: The wirelss radio is not functioning. Contact HP support.

My HP C309a had exactly the same problem.  Everything I found on the internet said that the printer could not be fixed and the only solution was to buy a new printer. The printer report said the wireless radio was not functioning. A factory reset did not fix the problem either. I had a problem with my HP Pavilion dv6000 laptop with the video graphics IC.  The solution for that fix was to do a solder reflow of the graphics IC.  Did it and fixed the problem. I figured maybe the same fix would work on my printer as I didn't have anything to lose at this point.  I located and removed the wireless radio board in the printer (on the left side upper right corner). I then did a solder reflow on BOTH sides of the board. I put the board back into the printer and wa-la, it connected immediately to the network. It has been functioning with no problems now for at least four weeks now (knock on wood). Hope this helps.

  • HP all in one C309a: Error message: Wireless Radio is not functioning. Contact HP support

Today all of a sudden, a 2 year old HP Photosmart C309a All-in-One printer is not longer connecting to my local Wireless Home Network. There is no change to network configuration to the TLink 3000 hub that I was using. All other clients (Mac OX, Vista, Ubunta 11.1, various versions of iOS and Android Icecream Sandwich) have no problem connecting to the same hub. No change to the network configure on the Printer. The machine have been standing as a stand alone machine and connected wirelessly to the network since day one in the corner of my office. Its within range of my router. I ran Wireless Network Test report to see what's going on. The title says "The Wireless Radio is not functioning. Contact HP Support" . Any number of reboot cycle didn't help. Out of frustration, I press "reset back to Factory Setting" on the printer. I did that, and then press "Wireless Network Wizard", and it was on "Searching for Wireless Router" forever... What opinions do I have? Get a new printer? or use good old 10-base T network cable to hook up the machine?

  • Problems with Factory Reset on EPC3925

After performing a factory reset on my router, I am unable to log into the router in order to set up or change my wireless settings.
The default admin/password login does not work (I've tried all combinations), and I am only able to login as a guest user (blank username/password), which does not let me change any settings.
It is also stuck on bridged mode (router page is 192.168.100.1 instead of 192.168.0,1), which I am unable to change both due to both the lack of admin account as well as the fact that the factory resets do not revert it to router/non-bridged mode.
Any help at all on how to log in and change these settings would be very much appreciated -- thanks!

Hi CheshireCat and Welcome to the Cisco Home Community.
The EPC/DPC3925 is an internet service provider (ISP) supported product. In other words you need to contact your ISP or technology reseller that you purchased this from to help you with your question.
