SPA2102 doesn't see VMW from SPA9000

Can anyone suggest why the SPA2102 can't detect voice mail waiting from the SPA9000? The SPA9000 shows voice mail waiting for the SPA2102 extension, but the SPA2102 shows status Message Waiting = No under the line status information, and the attached phone gets no message waiting indicator.
The Voice Mail Server field on the Line 1 page of the SPA2102 is set to [email protected]:6060, where the SPA400 providing voice mail is on Line 2 of the SPA9000, the extension number of the SPA2102/Line 1 is 201, and the IP address of the SPA9000 is 198.162.0.1. The phone works fine to make and receive calls via the SPA9000, and it responds correctly with a message waiting indication when the Message Waiting field on the SPA2102 User 1 page is set to Yes manually.  It doesn't make any difference to change the Mailbox Subscribes Expires field to a shorter interval, or to play with the VMWI Ring Policy options.
The SPA9000 shows the voice mail waiting for extension 201 in its Mailbox Status field for Line 2 (the SPA400). Also, the message waiting indicator does work in the expected way for phones attached to the the built-in FXS ports on the SPA9000, although it has a separate Mailbox ID field on the FXS settings page. In other words, the same phone does show the correct message waiting status if attached to the SPA9000 FXS#1 port with the Mailbox ID set to 2201.
Any guesses or suggestions?

Yes, we've read all those links, starting with the early ones where Linksys claimed that the SPA9000 worked with any SIP client, then the ones where they fell back on the stock excuse "it works with the SPA9xx phones", then the ones where they quietly fixed many of the bugs in firmware updates without ever acknowledging that they were bugs.
In our testing we have found that the SPA9000 now actually handles most functions with analog phones attached to its own FXS ports and via other ATAs like the SPA2102.
Remaining bugs:
1. The SPA9000's built-in FXS ports can detect Message Waiting from the SPA9000, but other ATAs like the SPA2102 cannot.
2. Neither the SPA9000's built-in FXS ports or any other ATAs can transfer calls to the SPA400 voicemail due to its quirky non-standard messaging protocol. However, they can call the voice mail manager (just make sure that DTMF is set to INFO+InBand), and the SPA9000 contact list or auto-attendent functions can transfer busy/no-answer calls to voicemail.
3. Group pickup doesn't work.

  • IPhoto doesn't see photos from my iPhone

This problem just started happening a few weeks ago --
    First, the hardware --
An older MacMini that is NOT upgraded to Lion because it is single core (and hence is not connected to iCloud)
    iPhoto '11, version 9.2.1
    iPhone 4S with OS5.01
    Now, the problem --
iPhoto is not recognizing any new photos I take.  The photos are on the phone in the camera roll and are uploading to photostream but that does me no good since I don't have iCloud on my computer (because I don't have Lion).  And iPhoto is recognizing that my iPhone is connected via USB -- it just says there are no photos (new or old) on it.  Image capture is the same -- sees the device but doesn't see the photos.
When did this start?  I'm not sure -- either (a) when I upgraded from my 3GS, which was running OS5, to the 4S OR (b) when I upgraded the 4S to 5.01.
In any event, I really want to get my photos from my phone to iPhoto -- after all, one of the selling points of the 4S was how great the camera is.  Well, if I can't download the photos to my computer, what good is it?
    Help anyone?

Computer sees the iphone, it just doesn't see the photos. This happened once before and I spent more than an hour with tech support fixing it - a real pain..... I'm hoping there is a quicker fix.

  • ITunes doesn't see photos from iPhoto

It used to work OK, but now when I connect the iPhone (3G), iTunes launches (iPhoto too), starts syncing (uploads all the music again!), but the photo section says that the albums I have selected do not contain any photos.
I deleted albums, created new albums (in iPhoto) rebuilt the library in iPhoto, but still no update in iTunes.
Both iTunes and iPhoto files/data are held on an external file server, but I can see all files in each application.
This seemed to start happening after a full reset of the phone.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks
    Adam

This could be a problem with the albumdata.xml file in your iPhoto Library Folder. Quit iPhoto and remove the file from the iPhoto Library Folder, then launch iPhoto. It will recreate the file.
    If that doesn't work:
Remove any non-ascii characters in Keywords, Album or Photo titles - basically anything that's not a- z and 0 - 9. This includes &.
If that doesn't work then read this thread

  • IPhone doesn't see ringtone from ITunes

I recently created a ringtone using a song from Itunes.  I changed the format to the proper one, and I see it in the Tones file when I plug my phone in since I've synched, but it does not show up on the list on tones to choose from under "Sounds" on the Iphone.

    where does it say this?
It doesn't say this anywhere, same way it doesn't mention how it can't make toast. Apple doesn't list features the product doesn't have. It just doesn't do it.
    and why???
    To prevent music piracy.

  • Time Machine on Mountain Lion Server Accepts But Doesn't See Backups From Lion

I recently (hopefully) upgraded our Mac Mini Server from Snow Leopard Server to Mountain Lion plus the Server app. A Drobo F is attached via FireWire and has a Time Machine partition on it. I've configured the Server app to offer the Time Machine partition on the Drobo for backups and we've got three machines using it: a relatively new MacBook Air running 10.8.2, an aging MacBook Pro running 10.8.2, and a pretty new MacBook Pro running 10.7.5. All three of the machines are able to backup to the Time Machine volume on the Mini. However…
Only the backups from the two machines running ML show up on the Time Machine Backups tab in the Server app. There is an entry for the Backups from the Lion machine, but the latest backup is reported as "Unknown." If I click on the Time Machine icon in the menu bar on the Lion machine it shows a reasonable (and recent) time for the latest backup. The log entries in Console for com.apple.backupd also look reasonable – and uninteresting. And newly backuped up files are visible in Time Machine.
The on obvious difference that I notice is that the in the .sparsebundle folders for the ML machines there are two files called:
    com.apple.TimeMachine.Results.plist, and
    com.apple.TimeMachine.SnapshotHistory.plist
Those files are not present in the .sparsebundle folder for the Lion machine (even after a successful backup).
Is this a clue or is it a Lion vs ML difference?
Does anybody have a Lion machine successfully backing up to a ML server and showing up on the Backups tab?
Any advice on this would be appreciated!

Same here - TM clients running 10.6.8 display as "unknown" on the /Backups tab on ML Server  (ML 10.8.3).
My one client on a ML machine is correctly displayed (time/date of last TM backup).
As far as I can tell, the TM backups are working properly on the 10.6.8 machines.  The problem seems to be a bug in ML Server
Solution:  upgrade all 10.6.8 machines to Mountain Lion.
Roadblock:  my 1st-gen MacBook Air doesn't support ML.

  • Iphone doesn't see albums from the cloud

My iPhone 5s doesn't show all of my albums after I update iTunes Match. I can see them on my wife's 5s but not mine. I tried turning match off on my phone and then back on again but still no joy.
    Anyone else experience this please?

Check System Preferences/App Store to make sure it is set to check for updates automatically.

The import statement appears to be incorrect. It should either import the package,
import java.io.*; or specific classes, like
    import java.io.file;

Thx a lot Salty. As you suggest I found other staff on support pages. I deleted AVCHD structure and kept only .mts... Now what I need to do is to convert those files with handbrake or similar tool in .mp4 or .mov to make them digest to FCPX.

  • New laptop doesn't see iPhone after user import from old laptop

Transferred my user account from my MacBook to new MacBook Pro, and now the MBP doesn't see my iPhone. Anyone else have this issue and know the solution? I don't mind wiping and restoring the iPhone. (Though I'd prefer not to.)
BTW - deleted my account and all files from the MacBook prior to verifying my iPhone works on the new MacBook Pro. So I can't "go back" to my old machine.

Once again, I answer my own question... Leaving the iPhone plugged in during a restart worked.

  • Iweb doesn't see my old domains under 10.9 after the upgrade from 10.7 Please help

    Hi everybody,
iweb doesn't see my old domains under 10.9 after the upgrade from 10.7 Please help
It gives me an option to choose a domain but when I go to "sites" it doesn't recognize none of them.
    Thanks :-)

In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and press the Return key - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion, Mountain Lion or Mavericks or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.
do shell script "/usr/bin/defaults write com.apple.iWeb iWebDefaultsDocumentPath -boolean no"delay 1
    tell application "iWeb" to activate
You can download an already compiled version with this link: iWeb Switch Domain.
Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder.  So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

The iOS 7.0.6 update failed, my iPhone 5S disappeared from iTunes and now is displaying a picture iTunes logo and a USB plug and black backgraound. Turning it Off and On didn't fix it. iTunes doesn't see it. Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Lawrence.
I've tried http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 and other suggestions first, which turned out unrelated.
I've finally fixed the issue by plugging the cable in the USB 3 ports in the back of PC instead of the ports in the front, the iTunes saw the phohe and the recovery started automatically.
In the hindsight, I realized that the either the required prerequisite iTunes 11.1.5.5 update installed a USB driver incompatible with my PC's front side USB ports that I always used for my iPhone syncing prior or it was always
incompatible, but worked in all modes except the recovery.
    Cheers,
    Michael

Just delete it from the Applications folder, and re-download it.
If it still says installed when you go to Purchased in App Store, click somewhere else, and option-click Purchased. That allows you to redownload already installed software.

Befor did an update to i-tunes 10 as it was advised. Please HELP ! Another thing - why it happend ? I think that Apple is totaly responsible for this and where they are ? I even can't send them an e-mail ? What type of company it is ?

Yes, Apple has caused people to go through massive panic, anxiety and wasted time by not coming out and telling us about this problem. They must know about it. How can we tell them? Now I understand why it took me 50 tries to upgrade to OS5. We all got the same crazy errors that caused us to reinstall iTunes, turn off our firewalls, buy new USB cables and basically waste tons of time and energy, when the solution was very simple. Plug your device into a USB port on your computer.
After years of using a peripheral USB hub successfully it's no wonder we all started freaking out and thinking it was a major problem. Yes, I'm blowing off some steam, but I've been an Apple fanatic for a long time and I'm not happy about their lack of response to this issue.

My Theme disappears from the DVD after I burn it on to a disc. I know it's there but my DVD player doesn't "see" it. How do I burn an iDVD that will play the theme?

It sure is. It also plays on my PC using VLC Player. So, I know that it was burned onto the DVD.

  • Migration Assistant problem? : New iMac's iTunes doesn't see the catalog or playlist of my old Mac's songs on an external drive

    So I just migrated from a 10.7.5 iMac 27" from 2009 to 10.9.4 on a 2013 27" iMac with Fusion Drive.
I don't use Time Machine. There are no backups involved here.
Used Ethernet. Only took 20 hours... (BTW, it stayed on "less than 1 minute left" for like 12 hours but luckily I was away and just left it going in hopes it would work... and it did!)
Anyway, back on my OLD iMac, I kept all of my songs on an external drive because my internal drive was too small. So iTunes looked at that drive for the music it was playing. I turned that drive off, even disconnected it, during the migration process because I thought it was confusing it during the first attempt which took 10 hours and nothing happened.
So now it worked, finally. On my new iMac, running Mavericks, I now have two user accounts... the one that was set up when I started the computer the first time, and the new one that transferred over via Migration Assistant. No problem. I can live with that. The only thing is, I would still think the old XML files and library stuff would migrate over... but iTunes doesn't see it. When I open up iTunes, in *either* account, iTunes behaves as if it's brand new. Repeat: the old and new account on the new iMac, both, do not see an old iTunes library which IS on the old iMac. Only the music is on the external drive from what I understand.
I've done this before so I know it's possible. I remember upgrading a long time ago and got iTunes to see my old library... even though some of the music was no longer there. It just puts "!" marks wherever there is no link. I was hoping that that's what I would find when I launched iTunes, but no luck. Even connecting the old hard drive to the new Mac (via USB) doesn't make iTunes all of a sudden "see" the old library. That data doesn't seem to be there. It didn't transfer over. Did it not transfer over because the songs weren't on the internal volume? Should I have left my external hard drive on?
So.... now that I've spent almost 3 days total trying to get this to work, and everything is running... I don't want to have to start over in order to get iTunes to work.  Is there a way I can just drag over some XML files or something from the old computer? I don't want to lose all of the ratings and personal notes and everything.
I should add also that I have like only four songs I've ever actually bought through iTunes. I'm still a bit old fashioned and buy CDs and rip them to Apple Lossless. So I hope it's not an authorization / reauthorization issue because I have like 1400 albums ripped.
Thanks in advance for any help.
    --Jeff

iTunes does not use the .xml it uses the .itl
If you are sure your old library file migrated across (does the file size and modification dates suggest it has?) start iTunes while holding down the option/alt key and guide it to the .itl file to get it to use that one.
