Spa232d not disconnecting call
Hi,
We replaced our SPA3102 with a SPA232D.
FXO port is connected to our analog line, Internet port is connected to our LAN.
The PSTN line on the SPA232D is registered with our Asterisk server so calls go through our analog line.
From our IP phones to outside, everything is OK.
From outside to our IP phones, there is some problems when the call is ended : if we hang up before our external caller, the line remains open on the caller's phone. If the caller ends the call before us, we hear the disconnect tone and the calls end normally.
We tried some settings here and there but unsuccesfull... Could you help please?

Could we have a bit more information please: what version of iTunes and firmware are you running; 7.5/7.6 and 1.1.3/1.1.3?
Also, is the iPhone locked to a carrier; and when did this problem start? After any updates?

E71 does not disconnect calls immediately
Does your E71 hang for few seconds when a call has been disconnected??

Go to Solution.I've just called myself! While listening on my landline and ending the call using the mobile it cuts off immediately, displays the length of call for about two seconds, then thats it. There is a delay if I end the call from the land line but there is a delay before the phone gets a continuous tone to signify an end of call on a land line too. Pressing the end call button ends normally with no delays either way

Calls from Etisalat PSTN to FXO to voicemail do not disconnect
I have a tricky issue where outside caller calls in and when the call is forwareded to voicemail because of CFNA, the FXO do not disconnect. I have a setup where a Etisalat Analog lines are directly connected to UC560 FXO ports using RJ11.
When a call comes in over the PSTN to an FXO port on my UC560 and the call is answered by the user and after that user goes on-hook, FXO disconnects or gets released normally . When the user does not answer the call and becuse of CFNA timeout the call is forwarded to users voicemail box , then CUE answers, a voicemail is recorded, but when the calling party hangs up FXO doesnot disconnect instead it stays in OFFHOOK state (HANGS). Because of this no more calls are possible on that FXO line. I have to issue shut and no shut command on the FXO to get it released.

the came same configuration above with battery reversal answer but no use sitll same issue.
The other tricky thing that is happening is when the call is forwarded to voicemail of the user and after the external caller disconnects the FXO on UC540 does not disconnect immediately, instead it disconnects after the default messgae size is reached. ie the default message size of voicemail box is 240 sec so after 240 sec the FXO port is released or disconnects and a large amount of silence is being recorded in the users mailbox for about 240 seconds.

Can any one let me know what is happing here. when the call is forwarded to voicemail of the user, why FXO Port on UC540 not getting disconnected soon after the external caller disconnects the call.and insted it disconnects approximately after 240 seconds of call forwarded to voicemail.
I tried the same cofiguration as above with battery reversal answer in voice-port configuration but no use sitll same issue. -
CUE AA redirect to external call not disconnecting

I noticed that you are getting ISDN cause code 21, not sure why though but the cause code information is interesting...
Cause No. 21 - call rejected.
This cause indicates that the equipment sending this cause does not wish to accept this call. although it could have accepted the call because the equipment sending this cause is neither busy nor incompatible. This cause may also be generated by the network, indicating that the call was cleared due to a supplementary service constraint. The diagnostic field may contain additional information about the supplementary service and reason for rejection.
What it means:
This is usually a telco issue. The call never reaches the final destination, which can be caused by a bad switch translation, or a misconfiguration on the equipment being called.
Now I don't know if it is actually a Telco issue to be honest, because sometimes bad number presentation can cause this issue as well and the carriers switch rejects the call with Cause Code 21 if no other cause code is suitable.
Check your call-forwarded number, make sure you have the outside line number being presented, although it would seem it is anyway otherwise the carrier wouldn't see a call.
Can you please do a "debug isdn q931" and provide us two maybe three examples please

£18 charge for a call that did not disconnect??
Not impressed about this at all. several times over the last 2 months my wife has made calls to o2 to get my daughter's iPhone unlocked. Most of these calls laster 3-10 mins at most. Apart from anything else the call centre operators are under pressure to disconnect ASAP whether they have helped or not. Bit like BT really!!!
We recently had a phone bill and I noticed our 'other calls' was very hight. We phoned BT and the operator said it was for calls to 0844s and such like. Luckily we are registered for billing online and having sifted through we found one call to o2 listed as 5 hrs 59 minutes!!!!! There is NO way my wife called them that long and couldnt have even if we wanted too, especially not at 9pm. Clrearly she has hung up after the call as have o2 but it seems the line has not cleared.
To me this is an absolute disgrace. Even if the line had not cleared our end (and we ALWAYS presse the red call finish button) it should have cleared from the o2 end but no. Result, nearly a 6 hous call logged and an £18 bill for it.
I have not yet called BT as I am too busy to passed from pillar to post to no end of departments all who will doubtless need to put you through to some else, even after having negotiated 25 different IVR queues. I am not at all happy about this though and intend to complain, for hwat good it will do. I think the the Ombudsman will be better to complain to than BT.
What have we got to resort to now. Pulling the damned phone line out of the wall to ensure calls disconnect??? Maybe just time to bin BT altogether!!! Time to start looking VERY closely at Virgin and such like I think, especially as we are out of all contracts now and current BT offers are rubbish.Hi Empgamer,

Torch 9860 does not disconnect after ending call
Hi,
I have been having this peculiar problem with my blackberry torch 9860 smartphone for the past 1 week. After finishing a voicecall, in many situations the phone does not disconnect even if I press the end call button repeatedly. It just seems to "hang" for 30-40 seconds and then disconnect. Sometimes it dosconnects only if the person at the other end hangs up.
Kindly help out in solving this issueTry a Battery pull please, with the BlackBerry device powered ON, remove the battery 15 seconds and then reinsert the battery to reboot device. This will clear all cache like rebooting a PC. Then try again and see if your problem persists.

If the same website is opening each time you launch a browser (Safari?) hold down the shift key as you launch to prevent previous pages from opening.
Have a look at your settings in Safari > Preferences. Especially General and Privacy.
Reset Safari to remove cookies and other stored data.
System Preferences > General
Have a look at your settings in System Preferences > Security & Privacy.

IPod Not syncing in iTunes. 7.6 - stuck on do not disconnect as below
Re-posting as a separate message as it may not have been noticed as a reply. I'm having a similar problem to the one noted in 7.5 but it appears I have iTunes 7.6 and a 5th generation 80g iPod. Been syncing it to my new MacBook with OS 10.5.2. Originally iPod was configured for PC but I had no problems after the change to the Mac. Seems like the problem syncing has started after downloading the latest update software for Leopard (to the 10.5.2) which included other things in the download (perhaps also Quicktime and iTunes?) This problem with not being recognized in iTunes happened twice in one week - only way to get it going was to do a reset while it was still plugged into the computer (cause it said do not disconnect) but the second time it took many tries and holding down the menu & select for a very long time. It finally was recognized and the sync started. This has me very worried and I don't think the 5Rs and other troubleshooting suggestions are the issue (it was fully charged & I've used the USB ports for other devices with no problems, etc.) Please advise. Can't give it up to service for over a week 'cause going on a trip and sure hope it will continue to work.
MacBook 2.2 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Mac OS X (10.5.2)I'm answering my own question for the benefit of others who are having a similar problem. As no one answered here, I finally called Apple support. The tech walked me through resetting my MacBook - not the iPod and it worked! To reset it, shut down. After completely shut down power back on and when you hear the on chime immediately, really simultaneously press option, command, and the P & R keys all at once (one needs some manual dexterity for this). Keep all the keys pressed down until you hear the chime a second time and release. The computer should then start up. After all booted up I opened iTunes, connected my iPod and it synced fine.
Of course, now I'm afraid to download any new updates. -
Ipod is frozen on do not disconnect screen....
i seriously don't know what to do with m ipod anymore. it's a 5 gen ipod video that i've had for less than a year. today i tried to sync it to my computer which is a sony vaio with windows xp and it got stuck on the do not disconnect screen. i plugged the ipod in and waited for itunes to open, which it didn't(i waited a long long time). so i then shut down my pc thinking the do not disconnect screen would go away after the pc was shut down...but it didn't. i tried rebooting my ipod MANY times and that didn't work. I tried plugging it in different usb ports on my pc and it doesn't show up in itunes. it shows up in my computer as a 'removeable disk' not an ipod as well. i don't know what to do...all i wanna do is format it back to factory settings so i can use it on my new pc(a brand new imac..<3) does anyone have any ideas? thanks.<br>
Imac Mac OS X (10.4.9)Even when its not connected..I went through the same thing my Ipod freezes alot(5thgen) nor will it show vidoe or pics not even podcast. What I did was got a programm call TUNE TRANSFER FOR ipod. With this you can backup anything on your ipod so you can then restore it. During a freeze your computer doesnt recognize the ipod at all.No connection. You need to reset your Ipod but not traditionall. 1- toggle hold switch 10 times each direction.(left/right)immediatly after your last toggle(be sure the toggle isnt on hold)
2-hold menu and select buttons for 15 seconds toggle periodically. I hopes that helped if not messege me back. make sure you have the latest Itunes.

I bought a video iPod today, and after downloading some songs from iTunes, my iPod says DO NOT DISCONNECT, but iTunes says the update is complete (but doesn't say it is OK to disconnect). When I try to eject the iPod, I eventually get the following message: "The iPod "David's iPod" cannot be ejected because it contains files that are in use by another application." I called Apple customer support and was told that they really couldn't help, because they didn't know what application was using my iPod. I disabled the anti-virus programs, but I am at a loss as to what to do next. Any suggestions?

DavidI have this problem all the time. I've also tried disabling my antivirus. The only thing I can find that works is just try again later, and try to catch it at a moment when "the files aren't in use". I've tried enabling and disabling the "enable disk use" setting (I'm not sure it takes properly because the iPod always shows up as G: in both cases. When I have this issue, I can't use the green "Safely Remove Hardware" arrow in my task bar because Windows (XP Pro) says "The device 'Generic volume' cannot be stopped right now. Try stopping the device again later."
I can't update to 1.2 because of this issue. Can someone please help.

AutoAttendant not transferring calls in CUE 8.6 to CME 9.1
**Issue is calls are not transferring once extension or directory is pressed on the phone.
I upgraded our 2811 CME 7.1/CUE 7.0 router to 2911 15.2 CME 9.1/CUE8.6. It has CME and V/k9 license enabled. I uploaded the configuration used on the 2811 to the 2911. I added the ip addresses in the ip trusted list. Calls come in and out if I point the translation list to the phone and not to the auto attendant pilot number. Incase if it was toll fraud issue I disabled it but still a no go.
Everything worked fine on the 2811. I can't understand why it would not work on the 2911 15.2. Has anyone had any issues when upgrading from 12.4 to 15.x with auto attendant not transferring calls?

i had my iPod nano plugged into the USB in my truck about a week ago and it worked. All I had to do was press the AUX button. I went to use it yesterday in my truck and the iPod says do not disconnect while my truck says audio player not found. I called apple support and he said my iPod needs to be restored, so I need to retransfer the music from my library onto my iPod again. Downfall, I no longer have access to an apple laptop because my brother lost the cord to his. Please help.

Follow Michael's advice.
The iPod will always show "do not disconnect" when attached to your PC because there is an active connection there. Think of it as being on the phone, if you pull the plug it will mess up the conversation.
On the bottom right by your clock you should have a little green arrow. That shows you what USB devices are hooked into your pc. As long as you do not have the iTunes software open, you can double click that icon and it will show you a small grey window. You will a choice that says "USB Mass Storage Device". Click it once to highlight it and then click the "stop" button on the bottom of the same window. You will get a pop up balloon telling you that it is ok to remove the device (your iPod).
If you have iTunes turned on, you will need to "eject" the iPod by either choosing eject from the file menu or right clicking on your iPod icon in the playlist (left side) of the iTunes software. There is an option in there called "eject iPod" which means that you are done moving files over and that iTunes can release the Ipod and you can use it.
If you don't have iTunes open, just follow the first step. Don't plug things in during the middle of an operation as that will cause lock ups.
Also depending on if you have USB 2.0 or not, the process of moving files and updating can be much slower so try to be patient.

I have a BT Studio 1500 and BT Broadband. The phone works perfectly well on all incoming calls and on all outgoing calls when the person being called picks up the phone. However when the person being called does not answer and the call goes to a recorded message, the phone usually does not disconnect properly when I put the phone down so that if I go to make another call, the line is still "live" and I have to take the phone line out of the broadband filter to get a dialling tone and, of course, my phone bill will have been charged for the time that the line was still "live", even after I put the phone down!!
Does anyone know whether this is an issue that can be easily resolved (rather than having to check the line after each outgoing call that goes to a recorded message) or will I need to get an engineer out to check the line? FYI, I have tried a difference broadband filter, but that does not seem to have helped.
Any assistance/advice greatly appreciated.I would try another phone in place of the studio, sounds like a fault on the answering machine part of it.
