SPA3102 download limited?

My internet connection speed is upgraded from 8 to 12 MB/s. With the 3102 connected as router, my speed is limited at 7,5 MB/s. When I connect my old router, the speed increases to about 12 MB/s. That's why I thought that the download speed of the SPA 3102 is limited at 8 MB/s. Is that so? Is it possible to adjust a setting that will give me the maximum download speed available? Yhanks in advance for your reply.

Thanks you for your reply. What you suggest is what I have done. Now my upload speed is a little bit lower, but that is ok for now. I just got the message that end of December my speed will go to 20 Mb down / 3 Mb up. That means that I have to look for a new router that has the capability to send the full 20 Mb from WAN to LAN.

File Download limited to 4 files at a time... the rest are pending...
    - it did not used to be this way -
    - is there a way to up the limit to more than 4 things at a time - if so how?

I believe 4 is the Safari limit. To be sure, go to your User Library>Safari folder and trash the downloads.plist file. Restart Safari and try multiple downloads. Trashing this file resets the Safari Download function and clears any corruption in the file.
If 4 is the limit, you'll have to try a 3rd party application such as SpeedDownload, which offers much more download flexibility and features than Safari.
One word of caution, if you try SpeedDownload but decide it is not for you, make sure you uninstall all of its components, especially any in your Internet-Plug-ins or InputManagers folder in either the Main or User Library, and the YazSoft preference file in your Preferences Folder. I know the app. comes with an uninstall feature, however, always good to double check.

Hi Robin. Welcome to the forums.
There is no usage limit at all for option 3, not even a hidden one.
See my shortcuts, link below, option 14z. It was applied in April 2011.

  • Internet Sharing and Download Limits

    Hi Everyone
    *Current Setup*
I have a home network of 2 Desktop Macs, 2 Laptop Macs, and one desktop PC. Currently we all share the internet through an ADSL modem (with built-in wireless router & 4 ethernet ports) which is always running.
    *The Problem*
Every month we go over the download limit set by our ISP. We have increased our plan a number of times, but it's now getting to the point that I no longer want to increase the amount I'm paying.
    *What I Want*
Basically, I am hoping to setup one of the following two scenarios:
    1. the ability to set download limits on the various computers and, once they are reached, to stop that computer's internet access
    2. If (1) above is too difficult (or expensive), then the ability to monitor each computer's usage would probably be enough. That way, once its usage is over the limit I wish it to have, then I could manually disconnect it from the network.
I understand that these setups may involve the purchase of additional software and hardware. I would be most interested in what my learned users have to share.
    Thanks greatly,
    Joe.

These people have what you're looking for... just can't remember which one at the moment!?

  • Oracle Download Limitations

I have looked through the various Oracle documentation on Oracle 8i Standard/Enterprise and 8i Personal Edition, and also 9i of each. I can not find the limitations for each.
If you download the versions from the internet, what are the limitations. I would like to do some test for my company before purchasing Oracle and would like to know what we can expect.
    Thanks!

I have only used the downloads for development and testing purposes (2 or 3 users max) but I don't think there is a limit.
Keep in mind that if you are planning to role it out to a large number of users (i.e., a production environment) you need to buy the licenses. If you want support, you have to register.

  • Why are app downloads limited to 20MB?

    Why can't I download an application that's larger than 20MB over 3G?

I downloaded a 1GB file yesterday over 3G with Downloads Lite. It just blows my mind that I'm allowed to download a 1GB file but when it comes to a 25MB game, that's just simply out of the question.
When will Apple fix this nonsense? AT&T doesn't even offer unlimited data plans anymore (which is good for those who are grandfathered in since I pull ~5GB a month) so new iPhone owners are limited to 2GB a month anyways. Who cares how the consumer uses it?
Anyways, back to downloading 100MB files over 3G until Apple addresses this outrageous limitation.
EDIT: Oh man, this is going to take a while! http://imgur.com/hholi.png

  • Personal 8i 8.1.6 Download - Limited License/Installation

Does the Personal 8i 8.1.6 version downloaded from OTN have a limited license such as operational only for sixty days or some other such limitation?
Also, what would I have to do to install it over a previous version of Personal 8i?
    Thanks!

The download comes with an OTN Licence, which you have to agree to when you download it. The versions you download are full featured and are not time restricted.
For upgrade issues read the installation manual and the migration manual (both probably available in your download, otherwise try technet)

  • Filesize download limits

My office uses firefox. I want to put download restriction there to avoid internet surfing blockage. Is there a way i can put a download limit in firefox? That is to say no one can download a file that exceeds a filesize of say 30 MB?

    Hi,
Thank you for your message. In order to put a download limit, this would have to be done through a antivirus or firewall in the office.
The only about:config entry I found that was close limits the amount of server connections: ''''''''''''network.http.max-persistent-connections-per-server'''''''''''' this can be read more about on this About:config [http://kb.mozillazine.org/About:config_entries MozillaZine Page]
MDN also has a way to manage preferences on many platforms if you are interested in checking them out [https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Add-ons/Overlay_Extensions/XUL_School/Handling_Preferences?redirectlocale=en-US&redirectslug=XUL%2FSchool_tutorial%2FHandling_Preferences]
Parent Controls in Windows can be set up for the user as well, but that is beyond this forum. At this time I do not think that this is possible from just Firefox.

  • Download limits

Has anyone tried to see if the "unlimited" AT&T service still imposes the 20 MG file size restrictions for download until you are in WFI range like the iPhone does?

you guys are killing me...are you really never in range of wifi to solve this simple and not very likely need?
The reason the limit is there is not to just **** you off, or greed...it most likely has to do with rules placed on G3 bandwidth limitation concerns by those who are trying to manage bandwidth so we all don't suffer. Some experts state currently wireless options are simply not robust enough to handle the same bandwidth we toss around via cable, dsl, etc. on competitive rates.
How many apps do you really want/need that exceed 20GB that is making your life so difficult that you feel the need to buy less apple stock?!?!!?
    Just a silly discussion IMHO.

  • Alocate download limits for wireless clients

Currently I am having an ADSL2 connection which I share with four users. The download limit is 16G per month. Is there any way for me to alcate a certain amount per each user? ex: 4G per user

As you can give the download speed limit but you can't give the limitation (range) for download.

  • 11g free download limitation ?

    Hi,
What are limitations for Database 11g under Oracle Technology Network Development License ?
How long is the trial period ?
I could not find any answer from the web.
    Thanks.

I can verify that it is free to download, free to use for learning and free to evaluate. There are no time limits, no functionality is limited and there are no nag screens.
There is also no access to Support, and no access to patches and upgrades.
Note that by downloading you do agree to the Developer's License Terms, which includes the permission for Oracle to audit you and verify that you are not using the software in production.
The 'Trail License' you read about is specifically a 30 day license that includes access to Metalink and additional resources. This license is arranged by (and through) Sales, and Sales pays the Support fee for 30 days.

  • SapWorkDir - Stored document - 21 files download limitation

    Hi
    Sap Gui Version: 620 sp44
Scenario: User opens stored document(Tif file stored in content server) attached to a Sap Document ID.  The Stored Document(Tif file) is downloaded to the PC SapWorkDir directory.
Technical Limitation: I think there is a limitation of 21 Tif files that SapGui can store in the SapWorkDir.  On the 22nd tif file download the SapGui starts to overwrite the first tif file hence it goes through a 21 file cycle.  Naming convention is retained eg APRD01, APRD02… APRD21.
Problem: If a user tries to open a previously accessed Sap Document ID Stored Document(Tif file) the SapGui does not download the tif to the SapWorkDir directory.  Instead it looks like it checks a SapGui cache and opens the Tif file it originally downloaded to SapWorkDir directory.  This Tif has obviously been overwritten because of the limitation of the 21 file download cycle.
    Does anyone have any ideas??
    Cheers

  • With the paid version - How many people can I send to at one time? Are there any download limitations (bandwidth or number of downloads limitation)?

I've grown to hate Hightail and was attempting to find out how Adobe Send compared - but the documentation is pitiful. I do webinars which means I may have a 200-400 people who will be downloading the file. Does the paid version allow this? What's the maximum size and the maximum number of downloads?

As you can see from other postings on this forum, we're currently experiencing upload problems for very large files, especially over slower internet connections. I suggest that you try to upload these files to your account at https://cloud.acrobat.com and then create Public links from there. You can then distribute the Public links for your users to access the files.

  • Setting download limits in Mail

I recently just got a new MacBook Pro and I just set up the mail application with my gmail and a school mail account. Both accounts are IMAP, if thats important. Anyway, I just want to set a download limit and have it so Mail only downloads the past 25 or so e-mails and only new emails from now on. It been connecting and trying to download thousands of e-mails and its just wasting disk drive space. Can anyone tell me how to set this up? Thanks!

You use the appropriate domain names of your ISP's mail servers. For a .Mac account the incoming server is mail.mac.com and the outgoing server is smtp.mac.com. However, if you set up a .Mac account normally these are provided automatically by Mail.
If you don't know your ISP's mail servers and are unable to locate them on their web site, then call their tech support for assistance.

  • Email attachment download limits

    Hi,
Is there a restriction on Email attachments that stops you from downloading them if they are too large? I can download most attachments but I just received a 10MB file and it doesn't download any of the file, appears that it is trying but I have waited hours and still nothing.

    Hi,
According to your description, your customer want to recover all emails blocked by the message attachment size limit. If I misunderstand your meaning, please feel free to let me know.
If yes, the recovery depends on the emails type. If the emails are sent from Exchange server, we can check the queue to get them: http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2007/01/09/3397689.aspx
If the emails are from other email services, I recommend you contact with its support. In this case, the emails are always block by Exchange server and have no chance to enter the Exchange server.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.
