SPA525G2 - Can't see pressed keys/ chars - Connected State

I have CISCO SPA525G2 already deployed at several clients premises (FW 7.5.1a).
Unfortunately we’ve found a blocking issue that we hope to solve faster:
Fail to show dialed alphanumeric characters in the Connected State, eg:
IVR interaction don’t displays the characters pressed and heard by the user
Conference call PIN isn’t showed when the characters are pressed and heard by the user
I’ve tried to change configurations on customized soft keys but no results…current configuration is:
<Connected_Key_List ua="na">hold|1;endcall|2;xfer|3;bxfer|4;conf;crdstart;crdstop;xferLx;confLx;park;phold;flash;</Connected_Key_List>
Last testing was with 7.5.4 firmware and no results.
If this is firmware related the only thing that you need it’s to copy the behavior of on HOLD to show the line with chars as you press some key.
Does anyone from CISCO could help with this ? I've already opened a case at https://supportforums.cisco.com/community/netpro/small-business/onlinechatsupport and no response...
Thanks in advance,
João Silva

This worked for me - it turned out I had McAfee and Windows firewall enabled - I disabled windows firewall and added all IPs in the safe zone on my McAfee firewall. For example: 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.254. You could also try to just disable all firewalls for now.
Next step - I kept only one computer plugged into the Linksys at a time (physically unplugged them from the router inputs/shutdown wireless). Then do the network setup on each machine:
Programs-Accesories-Communication-Network Setup Wizard
Click next to all screens until you get to:
When it asks you "Do you want to use shared connection" pick "No, let me choose another way to connect to internet", pick "This computer connect to the internet through a residential gateway", give the computer a name, hit next and call the network something, say HOME. FInish and repeat the same for all machines (you can create a network CD/floppy with the settings). Make sure only 1 machine connected to the Linksys at a time. Keep the name HOME on all other setups.
This fixed it for me.

I just got my ipod stolen, I requested to do a remote lock. I got the email that it got locked, meaning they connected to the internet. Can I see where they got connected?

Since the lock was successful, the dirtbag who stole it will not be able to do anything with the iPod until it is restored as new. Of course that means you will no longer be able to locate it.
Its last location may be reported, if the WiFi location it used to connect was known.

  • Windows XP computers can't see Airport via Ethernet connection

I have a iMac G5 hooked up to a new Airport Extreme base station.
I have two other old Apples with which Airport Express Setup 4.0 doesn't work.
Therefore, I am trying to set up my two Airports using a Windows computer so that they can be used as remote music devices.
Neither of them are seen by the Windows computer unless I completely reset them. And even then, it is intermittent.
When starting Airport, I get the following message:
"Windows is not allowed to manage wireless networks on this computer." However, in Network Connections, properties of my wireless connection state Windows does manage them.
Following an Aiport reset, Airport Express Assistant asks me for the password for the network, "name not available," I enter "public," but then get the following error following the message, "Reading from Base Station..."
Cannot send Identify command to the base station. Bad Param Error (-4).
Attempting to access the Airport using Airport Admin Utility, I see the Airport, but when making modifications to the password and join an existing Airport network, I click UPDATE, the Airport restarts, only to be invisible again to both Airport Express Setup and Airport Admin Utility.
The same problem is happening on two different XP computers and with two different Airports.
    Help!

Borrowed a Powerbook and used Airport Admin Utility, which resolved all problems with Airport.

  • Can't see directories on HDD connected to Airport Timecapsule from inside apps.

I've set up an Airport Timecapsule 2Tb and connected an Hitachi external HDD to it.  Everything was working fine and mostly still is. I can see the files on the HDD from all my Macbooks and iMacs on the wifi network if I use Finder.  However, if I use a finder embedded within an app (e.g. Excel or Word) I can see the HDD but when I click on it the directories aren't visible.  This was working the other day, but all of a sudden has stopped working.  Finder on its own still works fine, I can see all my directories.  I'm running Mavericks.
Also, if in Excel for example, I click on Save As or something, the finder window pops open, I click on the HDD but I can't see the directories.  However, if I select a previously visited directory from my histories list the directory is displayed and the files and sub-directories within it are all there.
Something seems to have gone wrong in the configs.  Can anyone help as at the moment I have to Save As files to a random directory in my history, then open finder and move the file to where I actually wanted it on the HDD?
    Thanks in advance.

Everything has worked just fine prior to installing the latest version of Adobe Reader. I could log on to my Chase credi tcard account, view and print from Safari anything I wanted. Subsequent to the Reader installation I can't see or print the statements. Printing other stuff hasn't been effected as far as I can tell.

  • Can't find network key to connect to new printer using Airp. Extreme

I am trying to add a Brother MFC J651WD multi-function printer to my home network.  I have Airport Extreme (square one) and my Macbook Pro can see the printer but not connect.  It appears to want a NETWORK KEY.  I've tried my airport password and other ID's to no avail.  Any suggestions are helpful!  I have latest Mac OS 10.xxx.

  • Macbook Pro can't see wireless network or connect to it, but iPhone can!?!?

    ok here"s the deal:
I got my macbook pro in the states through school and it has been working fine ever since. I now just moved back home to Germany and for some odd reason the wireless network at home at my mom's won't appear in my "join network" list.
I have tried diagnostics and advanced stuff, I have even typed in the network name and password into my preferred networks list manually... still nothing. When I connect the computer through an ethernet cable it works just fine. also searched and updated all my updates in case that was maybe the issue...
here's the clue. my sister and her friend both also have macbooks (not pro's though) and both also run leopard and both of their laptops can see and connect to our wireless just fine. ALSO I have an iPhone, I purchased in the states and it can see and connect without any issues as well..
I have called the German Apple support people, but they are absolutely useless and there are exactly 2 (!!!) genius bars here in Germany. one 4h and one 6h from where I live... sighs
this is what I found in my about section, in case anybody knows what this means:
    +AirPort Card Information:+
    +Wireless Card Type: AirPort Extreme (0x14E4, 0x8C)+
    +Wireless Card Locale: USA+
    +Wireless Card Firmware Version: Broadcom BCM43xx 1.0 (5.10.91.21)+
is it because it says "USA" and I am now in Germany? but how stupid would that be? other people that bring their American macs over don't have issues either... right???
    so yeah... HELP??? ANYBODY??? PLEASE???

    Hello,
I had the same problem when I was traveling with my 2009 Macbook Pro. I am on a French ship and my MacBook was bought in the US. We have a wireless gaming network to play Call of Duty on that is set up on a LinkSys router. I was so frustrated because everyone else here could connect and play without a problem. My iPhone would even connect to the network but my MacBook Airport card wouldn't even recognize the network.
It turns out that some countries use different Wifi channels. The Airport card in the US MacBook Pro is setup to only recognize channels 1-11. The European LinkSys router was broadcasting on channel 13 which is why my MacBook couldn't even see it. I changed the wireless channel on the router to 10 and now everything works great. I hope this works for you.
    Cheers
P.S. - The US MBP can only recognize channels 1-11 on a standard 2.4GHz network. To see what channels your Airport Card will recognize, open System Profiler (located in the Utilities folder) and find the "Network" heading in the column on the left. Click "Airport" and it should display all of the supported channels in the info box to the right.

  • How can we see restricted key figures in Portal

    Hello,
We are using 0ANALYSIS_PATTERM template, when we use the "new analysis" and from the drop down at the top (view, query, infoprovider) when we choose the infoprovider as a cube for example (0PU_C02) we can see pretty much like a web version of query designer i guess, we can see all the objects. But is there any way the end user can see the restrcited key figures that are created in the query designer by BW developer, so that they can drag and drop their objects and create a report.
It would be great to have this function.
    Thanks,
    Kiran

Currently, this is not available. You could have a query that has all RKF as a starting point to achieve this. If you think this would be good to have by default, please log a development request on the OSS Messaging System.

  • Can I see the Ethernet signal connected to my PC on RJ-45 connector (electric form)?

    Hi,
I start working on a project that needs me to know the electric characterisitics of an Ethernet signal in a specific network, and it is illegal to connect any device directly to the network (except for PC). So I was thinking can I use Labview to get this signal from RJ-45 connector and see it??
I'd appreciate any comments or thoughts that help me.
    Thanks in advance,
    Zeina

    Dear Zeina
As Dennis mentioned previously you need an instrument to analyze the signal from the Ethernet. You can then use LabVIEW to analyze the signal, once you have connected the relevant pins of the ethernet cable you wish to view the signal through.
Using NI-VISA you can communicate to a third party device over the ethernet link and acquire a signal in LabVIEW or Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX). The is a useful link below:

Many thanks for using the NI forums and I look forward to your reply.

  • Can't see folders/files but connected to VPN

I'm trying to connect to my office VPN. Unfortunately, I'm the only person in the office who uses a Mac and our remotely-based IT guy doesn't have a lot of Max experience, so I haven't been able to get much assistance recently.
After a lot of trying, I finally was able to connect to the VPN tonight. However, now that I'm connected, I don't see any folders/drivers/whatever in my finder. It's as if I'm not even connect. I did search around and see that apparently Macs need a little boost to find and populate those items in the Finder by going to "Connect to Server" in Finder. However, even that doesn't work.
I've tried "Connect to Server" using the IP address I used to connect to the VPN with –– didn't work. Error comes back as "Check the server name of IP address, and then try again."
I've also tried connecting via another IP address my IT guy gave me –– that didn't work either. Same error message.
I have a username and password to access the shared drive on our network. Is there some place I can enter that in the command line or something? Any help? This is so frsutrating. I feel like I've wasted 2 complete nights (hours at a time) trying to get this to work so I can actually do work from home...
FYI, I'm connected over Cisco VPN IPSec using the Mac OSX internal VPN client.

    Hi
I have the same issue, I have a Vodafone branded Huawei HG556a with an external drive connected. I have found that it isn't possible to connect via Finder and that SMB doesn't work either. The only way I could connect to it was via FTP using Cyberduck (or Filezilla), but no use as I can't add my media files from the drive to iTunes, so unfortunately disappointing. I'm still looking, but here's the document I was referred too from another forum.
    broadband.vodafone.ie/download/files/storage_mac.pdf
Although not an answer to your question, hopefully this will give you an idea why you are getting the password and username errors when you know they are correct. In the end when I entered the FTP details into Cyberduck I was able to connect.
I know this doesn't help solve the problem (as I'm still looking too), but at leas you know why (ish).
    Cheers

  • Can't 'see' iMac over shared connection?

I have an iMac 500 that is connected to an iMac 400 via ethernet; the 400 shares its AirPort connection with the 500. ARD 2.2 sees the 400 fine but neither ARD nor Chicken of the VNC (v2.0b4) see the 500. The 500 runs Mac OS X 10.3.9. (Remote Desktop is set up and enabled on both machines)
I've tried manually adding the 500 to both using the IP of the 500, but no dice. The 500 has no trouble with internet access.

    Update:
After more hours of research and more phones calls to Apple Care with no success I wiped and reinstalled Snow Leopard.
After the wipe and reinstall I am having a similar problem. I am able to see and access my  iMac user directory in network places on the PC. What I can’t do is open the sub folders from my account user directory. (Desktop, Documents, Downloads etc.) I get an error message stating I do not have the proper permissions.
    Trying to troubleshoot I have:
Turned off both firewalls - No success
Turned off and unplugged all network components including both computers and AirPort - No Success
I have tried to rename the iMac’s workgroup name from workgroup to home - No Success. (The PC see’s the Imac in both the Home group and the Workgroup group.)
Prior to the switching iMac’s I was able to access both the iMac and PC entire HD’s from either computer at any time. The only change made was the iMac that needed to be replaced and reinstalling Snow Leopard.
If anyone has any ideas what else I can try to regain connectivity please let me know.

  • How can I see what equipment is connected to my network?

I use a Time Capsule for my home network. Is there a way for me to see each device that is connected to my network at any given time?
There has been an unknown device continue to show up in finder under "shared".... I've reset my network password a couple times and the device continues to show up. (Its identified as "npica53cf")
    Thank you

    Its identified as "npica53cf"
I think HP has used default network printer hostnames in the format: npi + last 6 digits of the device's MAC address (e.g. "ca53cf").
