SPA5xx IP phone provisioning (SPCP detection)

Hi,
We need to provision hundred of SPA5xx phones to a non-cisco softswitch via SIP protocol,
in hard Cisco Callmanager enviroment (distributed, with several Callmanager in LAN).
Because we want zero-touch installation, we need to ensure that the phones will NOT FIND the Callmanager via SPCP,
based on our plans it will find a SIP server via option 66 tftp server IP.
As by default SPCP is enabled, the wireshark traces shows me the factory-default phones searches the SEP** and XmlDefault*** files in the subnet.
But one of traces show the phones find these files at Default gateway IP, other traces shows the phone tried to access the DNS server ip , and so on.
Anyone knows the exact protocol? What IP's will these zero-configuration phones be search after boot, with or without option 66 set?
Tried to find an SPCP RFC, but not found.
Any tips are welcome ;)
Attila

Unfortunately, the switches are considered network masters. Phone will search for Cisco's call managers (TFTP to default gateway and multicast "SPCP Token Request" discovery) as well as provisioning servers (specified by DHCP options). It will connect to any server responding to their call.
As switches are masters, they must not supply configuration to the phone they are not willing to serve. Phone is not in charge to decide by self. As long as you have CCM with "auto-registration" turned on you should expect the phone will be registered to CCM.
SPCP is proprietary protocol, thus no RFC.

  • HT1386 my i phone can't detect to the pc

why does my i phone can't detect on my computer?!

What Operating System and version are you using, and are you connected to the internet? Also, if its a 3rd-party cable it might not be detected. If it is try using the apple one that came with your iPhone.  If this still doesnt work try re-installing iTunes if you are using windows.

  • Phone Provisioning service not working

When I goto services > phone provisioning all I get is Host Not Found. I have confirmed this on two new phones that I'm trying to register and a few working phones as well. I have reset the phone and confirmed it is pulling IP information along with the correct TFTP servers.

I have also reset the TFTP service in the call manager, but still am unable to register any phones.

  • IP Phone 7940g - "Phone provisioning"

    Dear All,
I hav tried to upgrade firmware from SCCP to SIP (non supported CUCM) in my 7940g. First i have done factory restored the device and tried to uplode the SIP firmware to it by using tftpd32. IP is assigned to my deivce from tftpd32 DHCP and then i was in the state "Phone Provisioning". Can anybody please help me on this iisue.
    Regards,
    Chaitanya

    Hi Chaitnya,
best way to troubleshoot this is to get the pcaps from the phone. we can use the span to PC option of the Phone or we can span the switchport, to which the phone is connected so that we can see the file its is requesting and to which server it is requesting.
Please check this link also if you have followed all the steps for this.

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

To solve the issue, open Device Manager on your computer to reinstall the driver for your device while your device is connected with your PC via a USB cable.
Microsoft Windows Vista and 7 users
To open Device manager on your computer
    Click on the Start button.
In the Search box, type device manager, and then press enter.
To reinstall the drivers for your device
Scroll down to the Universal Serial Bus controllers (USB section) of the Device Manager window.
Look for an MTP Device: Media Device, Unknown Device or any other reference to your phone. Click on this entry and choose "Uninstall" whilst leaving the device connected.
Wait a few minutes, and the computer will reinstall the drivers for the device.
Now, the phone is accessible via Computer/My Computer on your computer.

  • Help Connect me phone adapter cannot detect phon...

    Hi there,
I recently bought Freetalk Connect Me phone adapter through Skype website. When I hook up phone line, ethernet and wall line as instructed, the setup wizard successfully detect my internect connection. However, it cannot detect my wireless phone. I tried another wireless phone but it failed again. I try to replace my existing voip to skype so I'm pretty sure my phone works well. During the initial setup, I saw the red light goes to flashing green light while trying to detect my phone....then it goes to red and repeat again.
Does anyone have this problem before? I try to locate Freetalk customer service number, but they don't have one.

Strange is that I found several identical threads in different forums about this issue but always with Sony mobile phones.
If you have some time check THIS interesting thread.

  • Phone version not detected

I've created a Phone version of a website-- vegsouthflorida.com -- but it does not seem to be detected when viewed with a mobile phone. (The direct link vegsouthflorida.com/phone works OK.)
    What am I missing?
I know this is a common problem, but I couldn't find an solution in previous discussion.
    Thanks!

The site redirects just fine to the Phone layout as tested on an iPhone's Chrome/Safari. If the issue persists at your end, please try clearing your mobile cookies and temp. data.

  • Mobile Phone Partitions only detected with hal

    Hi,
I switched from KDE 4.6 to awesome this week and deleted all packages that came with KDE.
To reenable automounting of my devices, I installed udisks and udiskie. All my normal volumes are automounted, except the two on my Sony Ericsson w595 mobile phone. After some checking I found out, that the partitions are not even detected (at least blkid gave me no other information). After installing and running of hal both partitions are detected and automounted by udiskie.
I thougt udisks was a replacement for hal?
How can I get udisks/udev to detect my mobile phone?

i am having the same exact problem now as the op. i started getting weird numbers im not familiar with. it first started 3 weeks ago and it was an international #, like 011...  then a few times i got a 530 area code number and some other out of state area code. now lately they are coming in as local area codes. just this morning i received 5 calls, 3 of them within 3 minutes. i usually dont answer them, but a couple times i answered or i called them back and it's always the same skype greeting, "to accept press 1, to leave a message in voicemail press 2". i'm starting to get worried someone somewhere around the world has my number and is using it. anyone have a solution??

  • PC suite not detecting phone

    Hi,
I have updated the firmware on my N80, but now PC suite cannot detect the phone, however, I can connect to the internet even if the phone is not detected.
I installed the updated PC suite, uninstalled it, and reverted to the older version, nothing works.
    Can someone please assist?

Hi everybody. After reading thru jinglebell method. I found an even easire method... just go to control panel add remove options and remove all the programs Nokia. This you can confirm if check the publisher column. The 4 programs i deleted were Nokia Connectivity Cable driver, Nokia Suite, pc connectivity solution, and windows driver package -- nokia pccsmcfd.....
After this I restarted the computer and re installed nokia suite.... as soon as it was complete I attached the usb chord to my mobile and it was detected and worked normally...
hope this helps others as well. Cheers!

I have a solution. You see, I've updated pc suite from an old version to version 6.8x for my friend but his phone(N80) was no longer being detected by the pc suite. So i tried uninstalling and reinstalling but still same problem. So I figured that there must be a conflict or something with the old version still probably existing in the system. So after I removed pc suite and connection cable from add/remove in control panel, I started manually checking if there is anything concerning nokia and I found that there is a folder called PC Connection solution under program files so i tried to delete it but couldn't so i deleted it from safe mode. After i did that, i deleted all registry keys by going to run and typing regedit: Under Local machine, under software there were two folders, nokia and pc connection solutions. I deleted both, and then restarted back into windows. I installed 6.8x (I don't know if it was 6.81 or something, but doesn't matter). Connection wizard came up, I plugged the usb chose the pc suite option on the phone and bang! everything worked normal. So that's how I got it to work. I don't think any other way would work except formatting windows
I hope this will help people with this kind of problem.
    God Bless all of you.

  • Unable to detect NFC tag (ISO15693) in Lumia 830 on windows Phone 8.1

Microsoft in Windows phone 8.1 has added new Nfc related features including low level access(Non NDEF). I have Nokia Lumia 830 (PN547 NFC chipset is present in this device).Im not able to detect Nfc tag (ANT-7M24LR-A ,ISO15693) through Lumia 830, which
im able to read/write using Nfc-V(ISO15693) in Android. I also have a Lumia 720 (old NFC hardware) but atleast it is able to detect the tag. Has anyone encountered this ? Whats the workaround ?

    Hi Franklin,
Thank you for the quick reply.
Current OS version on the Lumia 830  is : Windows Phone 8.1 Update (8.10.14157.200)
I have taken reference of  the NFC Smart Card Reader project(nfcsmartcardreader codeplex) to read/ write to the tag. We are trying to read/write to the tag (ISO 15693) using the low level APIs (Non NDEF format).
But my problem is that even before we can send/receive the data from the tag, the phone is not detecting the tag itself. If i try to debug the card added event doesnot fire in any case for (ANT-7 M24-LR-A) tag.
I also have a Lumia 720 (old NFC hardware) but it is atleast able to detect the above mentioned tag.
Lumia 830 is able to detect other tags like a generic NFC sticker (Mifare Ultralight) .
    Hi theDarkPriest,
    >>I have taken reference of the NFC Smart Card Reader project(nfcsmartcardreader codeplex) to read/ write to the tag
Well, have you tied to read NFC Tag using Proximity API? If not, please refer to this article:
    http://blogs.msdn.com/b/windowsappdev/archive/2013/04/18/develop-a-cutting-edge-app-with-nfc.aspx
If the Proximity API can detect NFC Tag correctly,  I think this issue should caused by this third-party library, you need to ask for help in its official site:
