  • Bypassing Grand Central Press 1 prompt with PAP2-NA

I am using PAP2-NA (Firmware Version: 3.1.9(LSc)) with the Gizmo Project and Grand Central. I am trying to bypass the Grand Central press "1" prompt on incoming calls. With Sunrocket Gizmo, the following is apparently the way to do this. What is the equivalent way of doing this with PAP2-NA? I see only 2 DTMF related options in PAP2-NA administration.
    ---DTMF Tx Method (InBand/AVT/INFO/Auto)
    ---Hook Flash Tx Method (None/AVT/INFO)
I've tried all combinations of the above options but am still prompted.
Approach with Sunrocket Gizmo from http://www.kalyansuman.com/2007/08/free-voip-with-gizmo-project-grand.html
    4) Change Gizmo settings using Telnet (to avoid press 1, 2 , 3 and 4 instructions on phone)
Telnet into your Gizmo - Go to Command Prompt and type Telnet.
At Telnet prompt - type 'open 192.168.251.1"
This will prompt you for username and password - give 'admin' for user name and passowrd that you set in step 3.
    1) Press C2 and make sure RFC2833 (SDP and 2833 packets) is ALWAYS OFF
    2) Press Cs
    3) Look for Use SIP INFO for DTMF = Yes
    4) If it says no, then press c to change settings.
4.1) Look for 18. SIP INFO for DTMF
4.2) Press 18 to set it to yes
4.3) Press y at the following prompt Use SIP INFO for transmitting DTMF digits?[y/n]
4.4) Press w to write setting to Flash
You should be now accepting inbound calls without needing to press 1, 2 and 3.

Bump..I have the same problems (even worse) with my PAP2T-NA and GizmoProject/Grand Central. When I Click2Call (on GrandCentral) to my phone and some 1800 numbers, DTMF tones didn't work (such as Bank's menu) unless I used "DTMF Tx Method:InBand", and that solved the problem- but it created a new one. DTMF didn't work on Grand Central's menu (press 1 to accept, 2 to reject, and so on). So when somebody called me via GrandCentral, I couldn't answer the phone. I haven't found any solutions yet. I can't believe that I'm the only one who's having this issue. If SunRocket Gizmo is fixable with that, I think it should be addressable in PAP2T. Any suggestions? My current PAP2T-NA Firmware Version is 5.1.6(LS) (just updated). How should I fix it with these options? I need to get both of functions working. (To bypass the grandcentral "press 1" would be the ultimate goal only if the DMTF is working correctly.) DTMF Process INFO:Yes/No DTMF Process AVT:Yes/No DTMF Tx Method:InBand/AVT/INFO/AUTO DTMF Tx Mode:Normal/Strict Hook Flash Tx Method:None/AVT/INFO Thanks! • Configuring IVR in SPA9000 with SPA400

I had setup SPA9000 with SPA400, I can make outgoing and incomming calls, Incomming call can be transfer by press extentions,But i want to know how to setup IVR, for example, if someone call, system should give greetings and advice to choose extension with the name.Inaddition to that I want to put music on hold. Can some please help me out.

Theres a Auto Attendant Quick Install Guide off the Linksys site. Go to www.linksys.com/download and download the  Auto-Attendant Quick Install. This should give a bit of a back ground in setting up your Auto attendant.

I can do you one better and teach you how to use the support pages at linksys:
    1) Go to http://www.linksys.com
    2) Click on "Support", then "Technical Support"
    3) Click on "Choose a product"
    4) Under "voice over ip" (the second row, in the middle) select "IP PBX" from the dropdown
    5) In the dropdown to the left, select "SPA9000" from the dropdown
    6) Under "Downloads" click on "Click here"
    7) Then select the version number from the dropdown (if you got your device after 2006, it's most certainly a V2)
    8) Now you can download the wizard, the user guide and the ivr manual (auto attendant quickinstall)
Or, the quicker way if you know what device you're interested in
    1) Go to http://www.linksys.com
    2) Click on "Support", then "Technical Support"
    3) Under "Enter Model Number" type spa9000 and click OK
    4) Continue at point 6) from the list above
There are two essential pieces to tracking down a problem with your VoIP equipment:
The configuration of every device involved
    SIP protocol traces
And don't forget: there's no such thing as giving too much information when describing a problem.

  • Call park using fxs port on spa9000

I have seen this question asked several times but no seems have answered it.
Is it possible to enter a service code to park a call using an analogue phone. If it is, please share what is the service code and the procedure.
I have a spa9000 with pstn (spa3002, spa400) and exts spa-942,xlite and spa2102/pap2. Everything works fine on the 942 phones and the xlite softphones but cant get more that the *98 transfer feature working on the analog phones.

Not so sure if the service code being utilize by the FXS is the same as what is mentioned in VSA.Then again, the manual says "dial the corresponding * code on the client station" and if you look at an SPA9xx phone, it has the following codes defined for call park and call unpark code.
    *38
    *39

  • SPA9000 / SPA400 call forward to voicemail on SPA962 line2-6 does not work

    Hi
I have an SPA9000 with an SPA400 providing voicemail.  With a SPA962 setup with 6 users one on each line.  When the AA sends a call to the first line (line1/ext1) if unansered the call is then picked up by the voicemail on the SPA400. The problem is that when the AA sends the call to any of the users on lines 2-6 the phone just rings for a while (longer than line 1 does) and then the call is dropped, it never gets picked up by the vociemail.
does anyone know if this a limit of the system or a limit of me?
    Cheers

  • PAP2 drops call and then only way sound

    Dear all there,
After reading a lot of material over the forums, I'm posting my problem. I've linksys PAP2 Firmware Version: 5.1.6(LS) configured behind Netgear DG834 back in my home country and I'm using E71 to place call to PAP2.
I've been facing problem after successfully configured the Gizmo account and successfully establishing a call with PAP2 I loose the sound of my family but they can hear me same time, But i can not hear and call is still there. After I hang up the call I want to call them it rings but when they pick up the set same problem they can listen me but I can not. After that I told them to call me they can not because when they dial number through PAP2 instead of dialing number PAP2 gives constant dial tone and then they have to reset the PAP2 and then it works fine. But again after placing the call this problem happens.
Any one can help me. I've put my PAP2 in DMZ. I also tried to use it with STUN but same problem. Please advise.

one way audio is usually a result of ports being blocked -- putting the device on DMZ does not necessarily make VoIP devices work better
in my experience , port forwarding works better for VoIP devices -- you need to open UDP ports 5060, 5061 and 16384-16482 on your Netgear router

  • SPA9000 Number of Lines Supported

Okay this is for another SPA9000, one that I can access through its web GUI unlike my previous post.
    It has software version 6.1.5.
I understood that since version 5.2. 16 lines were supported by default, yet with mine only 4 are displayed.
How are the remianing 12 lines accessed for configuration then?

    Hi,
The SPA9000 supports up to 16 IP telephone registrations.
I suspect that you are looking at the web-ui > Voice tab > Line N tabs
These lines are used to register the SPA9000 to ITSPs or gateways such as the SPA400.
This is described in the Configuring Line Interfaces on the SPA9000 starting page 58 of the SPA9000 Admin Guide located at https://www.myciscocommunity.com/docs/DOC-1750
    Here's an excerpt for you:
You can configure the following types of services on the SPA9000 line interfaces:
    ITSP service:
Up to 16 DID numbers can be supported on each line interface. You can configure different ITSP accounts on different line interfaces.
    PSTN service:
You can configure a line interface to register the SPA9000 with a SPA400 to support PSTN lines.
    SPA400 voice mail service:
You can configure a line interface to register the SPA9000 with a SPA400 to support voice mail server. This SPA400 should have no more than two PSTN lines connected. If more than two PSTN lines and voice mail are required, you should reserve one SPA400 exclusively for voice mail. Exceeding these guidelines will affect the quality of voice mail playback and command recognition.
    ISDN services:
You can configure a line interface to register the SPA9000 with a Mediatrix® 4400 ISDN BRI Digital gateway.
    Regards,
    Patrick

  • I can not establish more then 1 call at the same time

    Hi,
I have SPA9000 with four active accounts. I can not establish more then 1 call at the same time. Accounts are all in registered state. The field in SIP tab, Default Group Line:, is by default: 1,2,3,4 which means if line 1 is busy try the next one in the order ( in this case number 2). But this is not happening. It always tries to dial out with the first line (account). There is no problem with the provider and I don't want to specify groups of userID's and to assign them special line for dialing out.( by the way in this way it is possible to establish more parallel calls, but then each user will always have to dial thru specific line only). Please help me to find out if the SPA is faulty or give me some workaround, so that when I try to make a call , if one line is busy to dial out thru the next available.
P.S. I suspect that SPA9000 does not notice when the line is busy or not. Maybe there is some issue with the Control Timer Values (sec) on Regional tab.
    Thanks,

no it can only be one person at a time

  • SPA9000 Configuration Issue with FXS Port(s)

Successfully configured SPA9000 PBX with two VoIP providers setting Voice->Line 1/2 parameters. One phone set is connected to FXS 1 (or FXS 2) port and able to chose the proper VoIP provider when making outbound calls.

  • PAP2 to work with a diferent VoIP Provider

how to unblock a PAP2 adapter to work with a diferent service Provider instead of Vonage? I want to use SuperNetTel.com in Mexico, any help is truly appreciated!

I am also trying to figure this out. My plan is to use PAP2-NA (which is SIP) my plain old telephones, Uplink Software (which should convert Skype to SIP) and my Skype account on the PC. Anyone done this with this hardware. Would like to know how well it worked. The Uplink software says it works to change Skype2SIP and SIP2Skype?
The PAP2-NA I currently don't own, but plan to buy the one that is factory generic (NA Model). I'm just hoping that the PAP2 has better quality than those USB boxes and also less problems with other equipment running on the PC's USB as this will connect to the router.
    Thanks, GLS

  • SPA 400, I am not using it with SPA9000

  • Linksys SPA9000 and SIP registration with an E61

HI, I have my own IP telephony but I want to register my phone to be used with my Linksys SPA9000, anybody has the setup to do this with an E61?

Unfortunately my Nokia, an N95, can't register with the SPA9000 either. I managed to 'partially' register the phone. The phone registered itself an i saw it in the pbx status page.
(http:// - ip-adres of SPA9000 - /admin/status). The phone itself keeps notifying that it couldn't establish a connection and won't connect to the PBX.
What did the trick is realising that the PBX proxy listens to port 6060. So i added that port in the phone for the proxy and registrar. I know it's a part of the solution and i am working on it.
    My plan
    - setting up a syslog service on my linux server and search the logs for error mesages during the registration proces
    - upgrading my firmware. The SPA9000 is up-to-date, but my N95 doesn't have the latest version yet. So i want to check the release notes from Nokia for information about solved SIP errors.
    - checking the forums for tips
    - ask Nokia for help

  • No incoming calls with SPA9000.

I just replaced our SPA9000 and now we can't get incoming calls. Outgoing calls works fine. We have all ports opened on our router and NAT Keep Alive is enabled. Any thoughts? I've reset the device and upgraded the firmware but still no luck.

did you use the setup wizard for configuring the device? have you configured auto attendant for the device already? if you configured aa, check if you can call aa from the phone. if not, then it has something to do with the configuration for your aa. another option is to replace the contact list with the extension number so that calls will go to specific extension.

  • Configuring IPCop with Linksys PAP2 Adapter

I want to configure my Linksys PAP2 Adapter with the IpCop.. Any thing regarding this can be very helpfull....
    Thanks

Hi… I think IpCop is just another router, so just go ahead and install the PAP2 as per instructions. Only thing is that IPCop have only one Ethernet port, so get a switch and connect the IpCop to the switch and connect the PAP2 to the switch. Revert back if have any specific error while configuring the PAP2.
