SPA942 fails to receive calls after xfer

Hi There, I have a problem at one customer site with the SPA942 phones. After an incoming call is transfered to another extension, the phone then fails to receive calls - even after the transferred call has ended. And in some cases the phone that received the transferred call also fails to receive future calls after the call has ended. In both cases the phones will once again receive calls after the SIP registration has timed out and the phones automatically re-register.
As a temporary fix to keep the customer happy I have had to lower the SIP registration period to 30s which is not ideal but drastically reduces the issue from occuring.
Both phones have been upgraded to the latest firmware (6.1.5a) which has not fixed the problem.
Besides this problem everything else works.
Any suggestions on how to fix this or troubleshoot for more info would be really appreceiated

Do you have SPA900? If not, this is your VOIP provider's concern. If ever you have SPA9000 please try this:
Force Media Proxy: set it to YES
then
SEND RESPONSE to SRC port.

You may have a bad sim, contact your phone carrier and see if you can get a new one.

Can't receive calls after 3.0

Guys,
After upgrading to 3.0, my iPhone started to playing up! first I cant receive calls normally however, I got full signal. Second, If I call someone and the he tried to call me back, at this case I can receive the call... strange!!!
I'm with Optus Australia and the iphone is just brand new.. Any help??

IMac Facetime won't receive calls after upgrade to Mavericks

Hi all,
I am experiencing a strange issue with Facetime on my 2012 iMac running Mavericks.
Here's the deal:
Upgraded my iMac and MacBook Air to Mavericks
I am able to PLACE calls from all machines (so my account seems to be working fine)
When being called my iMac won't respond...no message, no sound, no nothing...plays dead man
My MacBook Air behaves normally (also Mavericks)
I have tried all of the following:
disabled and re-enabled Facetime (to maybe override some config issue inherited from before the upgrade)
tried to receive calls with and without Facetime running
rebooted...several times
all the latest updates are installed
I have not (knowingly) changed anything after the upgrade. "Don't disturb" is off and Facetime calls are allowed for everyone.
Any ideas?

Hi all, Problem not solved yet.
Maybe you can give your 2 cents to my working hypothesis:
Could it be that some background process/service is used to continuously monitor incoming requests/calls? Could it be that this process fires up Facetime and forwards incoming calls (Facetime calls are received without Facetime running, right? So something must capture them...)? Could it be that in my case this process is either not running or configured incorrectly (account, password)?
Maybe you can put me on the right track?!

IPhone4 will not send or receive calls after ios 7 upgrade

I upgraded both of my iPhone4 to the new ios7, and then 7.0.2 and mine will not send or receive calls inside my apartment but the otherone will. I tried everything but VooDoo. Reset all date, reinstalled the software in iTunes, and set-up as a new iPhone but nothing. Freaky thing is the replacement Verizon sent today has the same issues. Anyone know why?

Unable to make or receive calls after unlocking

I just ported networks and got my 4 unlocked through the network and iTunes. I can not make or receive calls. My network have sone everything they can but say the problem is not on their side. I have checked all the settings and I have re-installed but canted figure it out.

Can't find this anywhere else. Have been using the phone for several days after successfully upgrading to ICS. I can text and email. All data services appear ok. Just phone function. When tryng to call, it attempts to dial out and then terminates. Any help?

My iphone 6 stopped receiving calls after upgrading to ios 8.2

I have a new iPhone 6, 64 GB. I tried upgrading it 2 days ago to iOS 8.2.
The first time it froze for a long time and when it started, everything seemed
to be ok until I opened my messages, the screen froze then my messages opened a
blank page, then went opened a new message window, and I couldn't do anything
after, except close the messages. then I found out that my phone does not ring
when someone is trying to call me, so I tried calling my phone from a land line
and it shows it is ringing, but my iPhone 6 is not and does not show any
activity. it like its ringing somewhere else. I tried restoring it, and again
it did the same thing, the minute I open my messages. its like it triggers a
malfunction that crashes the hand set.
Has anyone experienced this, and is there a solution other than waiting for
the next update that will hopefully fix this problem?

If you're still not seeing any indication of incoming calls and Messages isnot functioning as expected, the next step would be to reinstall iOS on your device by placing it in Recovery Mode, then choosing Update in iTunes.
Make sure that you have iTunes 12 or later on your computer.
Put your device in recovery mode.
When you get the option to restore or update, select Update. This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

E7 fail to receive SMS after Belle update

Hi there,
I recently have a problem receiving SMS on E7 after updating to Belle. When I put the SIM card to another phone I do receive messages. However I do not receive those SMS that I have sent when the SIM was in the E7. Looks like the messages are lost in the middle of nowhere or somehow stuck in the E7. On the other hand messages sent from E7 are delivered.
Anyone got any ideas?

I actually had similar problem with my E7 just the other day. However i am still running Anna, couldnt receive any sms could send them. it was exactly as you described. the only way i was able to get resolved was to speak to my carrier who reset the sms service for my phone number. We did also remove and put back in the sim card, but never received the missing messages, including the ones I sent myself. after the reset I was able to recieve any new messages.
BUT this was on an ANNA based phone. but maybe it work asking your carrier to reset the sms service for your phone from their end.

Iphone 4 does not receive calls after iOS 6 update

Since the iOS 6 update my wife's phone has not been working properly, every so often calls are diverted to answer phone and only register to advise of a missed call, I have tried the following:
restarted the phone, taken the sim card out and then back in again, reset the settings and logged in to a different apple ID. The only thing I haven't done is to restore back to factory settings and start again.
Has anyone else experienced this and if so were you able to correct it.

Well, i don't see an another solution possible; you should try again and again to restore. Btw, my phone seemed to operate strange (even the stock mail app began to crash) so i tried hard reset (home button + sleep/wake button until seeing the apple logo). After that i found my phone again in dfu mode this night so began restoring again now.
It seems that apple didn't tested ios6 enough with the 3GS. I have a 32 GB phone so this will be near 60 gb download from the icloud over my broadband connection.

My phone won't make/receive calls after porting number over.

I bought and activated a prepaid phone. It worked fine until the number I was wanting to keep got ported in. Now it won't let me make or receive phone calls. I have been on the phone numerous times with customer service. The problem lies with the fact that our phone says Roaming when we make a call. It then wants us to add funds with a credit card. But we paid for the one-month unlimited talk/text plan. It has only been 7 days. We have been told different things with each phone call. 1)our phone is bad. 2) We need to go to Walmart or similar and buy a verizon sim card (This is a brand new Verizon prepaid phone, why do we have to buy a sim card?) 3) Take it to the local Verizon store (which, by the way, does not handle or even know what to do with prepaid phones). 4)We've been told we have no service here. (Texts seem to come through fine, as does the 4G. Also, there have been a few times it does not say roaming when I want to make a call, and it works just fine. This has happened twice in 4 days. And only for the 2 phone calls.). I have a prepaid Verizon Motorola Luge phone. Phone number from tracfone was ported over on Thursday (3 days ago.) We are unsure whether the ported number caused the problem, but we made 2 calls before that, and it went through fine for them, so we do have suspicion that the porting caused the problem. I would guess it has something to do with the cell tower not working with the ported number somehow.

Cannot make or receive calls after IOS 6.1 update on IPhone 5

Text and Data services still work fine. All other features of my phone seem unaffected. I have tried rebooting and resetting my network setting with no luck. Any other recommendations on how to restore the ability to use my phone as a phone? This is a strange side affect for a software update (iOS 6.1)

The problem is more than likely being cause by corruption that occured during the iOS install or in the backup that was used to restore the phone after the update.
Standard troubleshooting is:
Re-boot the phone
Restore the phone from your backup
Restore the phone as a new device.
One of the 3 should fix the problem.
