Space used up on iPhone, but nothings there?!?

I've put a couple of apps on my phone, and everything's been fine, but I put a sudoku app and when I went to sinc, I noticed that there was only Photos and Other, and it's telling me that Other is using 4.14GB! I took all of my music, apps, songs, and everything except phone numbers off of my phone, and yet it's still telling me that I have 4.14GB of "Other" being used...
Can anyone give me advice on what to do? Is there another way other than a restore? I have bookmarks, notes, etc that I don't want to lose, but I don't know why my phone thinks it has that much space used when I've taken everything off!!

You need to do a sync to backup your data and then do a Restore. You have a corrupted file in Other and the only way to fix it is Restore.

If you want to be able to track your iOS devices, turn on Find My iPhone in Settings>iCloud. You don't need to do anything on your Mac. You can track them from your Mac by going to icloud.com, signing into the iCloud account that the device(s) you want to track are using, then clicking on Find My iPhone.
As fromsouth said, you can also download a separate Find My iPhone app on any of your iOS devices. This allows any device to track the other devices. This is separate from enabling Find My iPhone on your devices, which is done in your device settings.

No app is required.
- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
- You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have to iPod play a sound via iCloud.
- If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
- Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
- There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.
- Apple will do nothing without a court order

Unfortunately, you must restore it in iTunes on your computer. There is no way to retrieve a forgotten pass lock code.

My daughter stopped using her iPad when she got an iPhone for Christmas. It has been over one month and she has forgotten her passcode. I tried to wipe it via Find my iPhone but it won't connect to the wifi even though wifi is switched on on the lock screen. FORCE IPAD INTO RECOVERY MODE
1. Turn off iPad
2. Turn on computer and launch iTune (make sure you have the latest version of iTune)
3. Plug USB cable into computer's USB port
4. Hold Home button down and plug the other end of cable into docking port. Do not release button until you see picture of iTune and plug (very important)
5. Release Home button.
ON COMPUTER
6. iTune has detected iPad in recovery mode. You must restore this iPad before it can be used with iTune.
7. Select "Restore iPad"...

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

What you need is the Find My iPhone app at the app store. It's free. Download it and use that.

The message probably means you don;t have enopugh space on iCloud to backup the Phone.
iCloud has a 5GB limit. If your backup is more than that then it won't be able to backup.
As far as backing up to your computer, just connect it to your computer, and assuming you have iTunes you can just click on the Backup button in the summary page for your Phone in iTunes.

As to why you can take less photos, probably because you've used more space up with different things. so there's only so much space left for your Photos.
You can look in Settings->General->Usage, to see how much space you have available as well as the App that's taking up the most space.
Also when connected to iTunes in your computer Check how large the "other" category is.
If its more that 1 to 1.2GB then you may have some corruption.

Already using Dropbox with iPhone, but new to iPhoto. WTD?

I am a long-time iPhone user but until recently have always been on a PC, so I would at first manually move photos from my iPhone to my Dropbox folder, then later started using the "upload to Dropbox" feature to automatically download my photos to my Dropbox folder via Wifi.
However I've just got a Macbook so want to start using iPhoto. Most of my photos are already in Dropbox, and I want to keep using Dropbox as I like having all my photos baked up, and I like that it syncs my photos over WiFi.
So the question is, how do I get my photos from DropBox to best appear in iPhoto, and what import should I use in future? I don't want to duplicate my photos in iPhoto and Dropbox. Most of the advice I can find seems to assume you already use iPhoto. I did an import from my Dropbox folder to iPhoto but do I have to do a completely new Import every time I want to get a few new photos in to iPhoto? I just tried another import and it seemed it was starting from scratch to import them all.

You clearly need to spend some time learning iPhoto - it is not a photo viewer but a SALite database photo manager - it can only work with photos that are imported into it and it is very strongly recommended that you let it copy those photos to the iPhoto library - although it is possible to not copy them there are many reasons not to do that
Take the iPhoto tutorials and read the user tips for iPhoto to understand iPhoto better and learn about how to properly use it and then play with a small library of a few hundred photos before you go whole hog

That is not possible if you use both - the best answer is to use PhotoStream to move photos form the phone to iPhoto rather than Drop Box - or pick a different photo program and do not use iPhoto

I love the tiles of my most used pages which come up when I open a new tab. 9 used to show up but now there are only 3. How can I get the others back.

I have explored the suggested solution pages but if the answer was there I did not understand it. I have clicked on the cog at the top right hand corner of the page and changed from Enhanced to Classic, but that did not give me my 9 tiles back. I shall be most grateful if one of you folk with more savy can help me.

You can zoom out the about:newtab page to resize the tiles.
*View > Zoom > Zoom Out; Ctrl and +
This will affect all elements on the page, so text get smaller as well.
Toggle the <b>browser.newtab.preload</b> pref on the <b>about:config</b> page in case of issues with zooming the about:newtab page.

You can have apps and music from multiple IDs on your computer or your phone, but you will need the password for each one to install updates or to reload the content. You cannot merge the content from one ID into another, however.

Printing blank spaces using dbms_output.put_line

There is one string getting generated dynamically. Upon generation, it may or may not contain blank spaces in the beginning. Then I am trying to print this on standard I/O using DBMS_OUTPUT.PUT_LINE. But if there are some leading spaces in the string, they are ignored. Is there any other way to print the exact string as it is?
