SPACES custom skin CSS Class reference ? which css styles do what?

I am creating a custom skin for spaces using the Extend Spaces custom project. I am not able to find which css class names are mapped to which elements of a page in spaces. Inspecting the code does not help since the css class names seem to be autogenerated names and don't really match any names in the example "myskin" or any others I have seen.
Does anyone know of a reference that shows which classes correspond to which elements in spaces?

http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/htdocs/partners/addins/exchange/jsf/doc/skin-selectors.html
This is an overview of the selectors used in ADF. I think webcenter spaces only uses these. You should be able to skin your webspace using these selectors.

  • Using CSS class together with CSS Rule

    Hi,
    I design my web site in Dreamweaver and then use Web
    Developer 2005 Express for the dynamic stuff. I amalgamate all the
    work I have done in Dreamweaver into 2005 Express. However with the
    new server side controls I do not know how to add a CSS class
    together with a CSS rule.
    In the normal client side control in Dreamweaver I have -
    <input name="txtPassword" type="password" class="Input"
    id="SpacerBottom" />
    In the server side controls the ID keyword is used now -
    <asp:TextBox ID="txtPassword" runat="server"
    Style="z-index: 107" CssClass="Input" ></asp:TextBox>
    I have tried to use the name="txtPassword", but it ignores
    this.
    I would really like to know how I can use a class and an id
    selector with the new server side controls and would really
    appreciate some help on this.
    Many thanks,
    Polly Anna

    the explicit " match-any" will do just that.So, a nested ACL can be configured for multiple criteria.
    The alternate is a "match-all" where all nested options in your acl MUST be met. Hope this helps.

  • Save as SVG, with character styles included as CSS classes? (CC)

    Hi, I know that
    a) Character styles in Illustrator CC are saved as CSS classes in the CSS properties menu, with appropriate style info;
    b) These classes can be exported to a CSS file from the CSS properties manual;
    c) Graphic styles can also be saved as CSS classes; but
    d) When saving to SVG (with Style Elements option) the graphic style classes are included in the SVG code, but NOT the character style classes. Instead, it uses classes like ".st0", ".st1", etc., which separate each styled attribute (font-family, size, etc.) into its own class.
    Is there any way around this problem, short of extensively editing the svg code by hand later? The end result we're looking for is an SVG where text has classes assigned, based on character styles.  (Ideally we'd then link to an external style sheet in order to modify based on the end use of the SVG. So for example a graphic with .textBold and .textRegular, where those classes are later assigned different values based on the delivery device.)
    Has anyone else dealt with this issue?
    Thanks!

    Hi Ianmcarey,
    Thanks for the detailed Explanation. We will investigate this Requirement of Exporting Character style classes in the SVG code.

  • Custom Skin: css of new skin in CRMCMP_IC_FRAME not loaded with changes

    Hi all,
    I have a quite frustrating issue.
    In accordance to SAP Note 1151944 - Skin Customizing not reflected in IC business roles I have created a new folder in the MIME's repository for my skin called default_agfa.
    the new css files have been added to the folder and changes to the color have been made...
    The page loads the css files from the correct folder as you can see in the page itself:
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="/SAP/BC/BSP/SAP/ZAS_AGFA_SKIN/*default_agfa*/thtmlb_stand.css" />
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="/SAP/BC/BSP/SAP/ZAS_AGFA_SKIN/default_agfa/thtmlb_visuals_stand.css" />
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="/SAP/BC/BSP/SAP/ZAS_AGFA_SKIN/default_agfa/thtmlb_IE7_stand.css" />
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="/SAP/BC/BSP/SAP/ZAS_AGFA_SKIN/default_agfa/thtmlb_IE7_IE8_ovr_stand.css" />
    <link type="text/css" rel="stylesheet" href="/SAP/BC/BSP/SAP/ZAS_AGFA_SKIN/default_agfa/thtmlb_IE7_visuals_stand.css" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crmcmp_ic_frame/stylesheets/contextarea/*DEFAULT_AGFA*/crmcmp_ic_frame_contextarea.css" title="DEFAULT_AGFA" />
    <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="/sap/bc/bsp/sap/crmcmp_ic_frame/stylesheets/broadcast/*DEFAULT_AGFA*/crmcmp_ic_frame_broadcast.css" title="DEFAULT_AGFA" />
    I have already:
    - cleared physically the files from the IE (really manually removed the files).
    - via SMICM cleared the cache of the http server global in system.
    - set the client side expiration time of the css file to 1 minute.
    but it keeps on loading the original content. Whatever changes I make, it is just not reflected in the UI.
    Via the skin explorer I can do whatever change and this is shown immediately.
    Anyone an idea?
    KR,
    Micha

    HI Rohit,
    it was the Webdispatcher that cached the css files. After rebooting this, the issue was fixed.

  • Adding custom css classes from within edge animate

    is it possible to add  CSS classes from within Edge Animate, im not talking about adding your own stylesheet by ex. manually editing the .html document, but rather adding classes via ex. the code window ?, it would be immensely helpful to have everything in one place.
    any suggestions on this one ?

    Yes - you can use addclass() and you can use UI.
    1- UI
    Select elements in elements panel. Click the C button in the property panel.
    Use this for example
    sym.$('.classname').css({'color':'red'});
    2- addclaas()
    sym.$("name').addclass('classname');
    Use same as above.

  • Stylesheets with CSS classes included in springboard possible?

    Hey there.
    Is there a way to include a CSS stylesheet in my custom made springboard?
    I can include them in features but don't know how to import external files to the custom springboard (amx page)..
    Regards,
    Pascal

    Hi, Pascal, actually let me add to this thread so everyone can see this.
    Yes you can leverage CSS in custom springboard and custom login screen. If these are HTML based, you would just simply include the CSS with your HTML page. If these are AMX based, you would need to follow the SkinningDemo to either extend or add new style classes. Look in the ApplicationController project - Application Sources - META-INF - adfmf-skins.xml file. This contains references to additional CSS classes that can be used in the entire app. Since springboard and login page are application level artifacts, these CSS/skinning files will need to be added in the App Controller project per the sample.
    Quick explanation of the adfmf-skins.xml file since I was not clear in this morning's call. You can either modify the existing CSS classes shipped with the framework, or add new CSS classes to the framework. To modify (or extend) - for example, to change the header facet's outputText color to red, you would first add this to the skins.xml file
    <skin>
    <id>mobileFusionFx.iOS</id>
    <family>mobileFusionFx</family>
    <extends>mobileFusionFx</extends>
    <style-sheet-name>css/mycss.css</style-sheet-name>
    </skin>
    Then in your mycss.css file, you would have:
    .amx-panelPage-facet-header > .amx-outputText{
    color: red;
    If you want to add a brand new CSS class and then use it in your app, you would:
    <skin-addition>
    <skin-id>mobileFusionFx</skin-id>
    <style-sheet-name>css/myaddedcss.css</style-sheet-name>
    </skin-addition>
    And the myaddedcss.css would have the following new class that you can now use in your app:
    .MyCSSClass {
    color: green;
    This would work against the entire app, including springboard and custom login app built using AMX.
    Thanks,
    Joe Huang

  • CSS Classes documentation for ADF Faces

    I could not find any document where css classes for ADF Faces components have been listed. I want to build custom skin and i needed it badly. Anybody knows where it is?

    Hi,
    Try http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/jdev/tips/fnimphius/adffaces_skin_selectors/AdfFacesSkinSelectors.html. Note that you can always use Firebug to get the right class name, assuming you set the following parameter in web.xml:
    <context-param>
      <param-name>org.apache.myfaces.trinidad.DISABLE_CONTENT_COMPRESSION</param-name>
      <param-value>true</param-value>

  • CSS class ordering

    Hello,
    I am using JDeveloper 11.1.1.6 and Oracle ADF Skin Editor 11.1.2.3. I have browsed the community sites and not found a question / answer about the issue I'm facing.
    I have been able to create custom CSS classes in my custom skin and apply them to my WCP project via JDeveloper. My custom CSS class (.HeaderTitle1) is being applied to the ADF component (outputText) via the styleClass property. I can see (in my browser) that my custom class and the built-in ADF class are being applied to the outputText component.
    The problem is that the built-in ADF class takes precedence over my class. Based on CSS rules (see this example), this is because the ADF class is defined later in the CSS file (or loaded later if in a separate file). I've looked at the CSS file in the Chrome Developer Tools, and I can see that there is just 1 CSS file and that my custom CSS classes are in the middle of the file with ADF classes before and after them.
    Question: Is there any way I can control the order of the declarations in the CSS file? How can I ensure that my custom CSS classes will take precedence?
    Thanks!

    Sure, Alejandro. It's actually not an outputText (that's one of our use cases), but applying a custom style to the goLink component that is giving us grief.
    Here is my css:
    .HeadingTitle1
      font-weight: bold;
      font-size: 24px;
      text-transform: uppercase;
    Here's how I'm referencing this css in my .jsp file:
    <af:goLink text="My Loan" id="gl1" styleClass="HeadingTitle1" />
    The result (via Google Chrome Tools):
    <a id="pt1:r1:0:gl1" class="HeadingTitle1 af_goLink" href="edit-address.jspx">Edit Address</a>
    Hmm, actually it looks like I've solved my own problem. Looking at the source of the CSS file, I can see that the HeadingTitle1 class is defined AFTER than the af_goLink class (containing the properties I'm concerned with):
    .af_goLink
         font-size: 15px;
    .HeadingTitle1
      font-size: 24px;
    Based on this CSS demo, I thought this problem was that the af_goLink class is defined later in the CSS file, so that it took precedence over my custom CSS class, but it looks like it's behaving the way I need / expect it to.
    Not sure why I wasn't seeing this all along. Thanks for the help, Alejandro and Frank.

  • CSS Class Ignored

    I'm trying to override the default css class for static styled text/message styled text/rawtext items by specifying a css class in the property pallette for these items.
    When i run the page through jdeveloper it is not taking any effect.
    I'vnt tried running it from the server.
    I've tried with multiple css class types.
    I've copied the blaf.css file from the server and placed in myhtml\OA_HTML\cabp\styles\
    I've tried clearing the cache , deleteing the class files etc etc..
    Any pointers ?
    Thanks,
    Tilak.

    Tilak,
    Following extract from Dev guide might be useful for your reference:
    Using Styles
    All of the regions -- and most of the items -- that you add to the page have their styles set automatically; you don't need to do anything extra (nor should you). As described above, you should be setting region and item properties ONLY if you must override the default behavior.
    That said, there are several cases where you must set the CSS Class property for your items:
    If you create a staticStyledText item to be used for instruction text, you must set its CSS Class to OraInstructionText.
    For any text entry fields, checkboxes, poplists and radio buttons you must set the CSS Class to OraFieldText. Do not use OraPromptText for your radio buttons and checkboxes.
    If you create a messageStyledText item for displaying read-only data, you must set the CSS Class to OraDataText for the data to render in bold (note that you don't need to set this value for table columns)
    Tip: New OA Framework developers often make the mistake of trying to significantly change "native" component rendering by changing the CSS style. If you find yourself falling into this trap (and you're frustrated because your style settings don't appear to have any impact on the bean's runtime appearance):
    Make sure you're using the right bean (region or item style) for the job.
    If you're certain you're using the right bean, check to see if it publishes a method that lets you achieve the desired result. For example, an oracle.apps.fnd.framework.webui.beans.layout.OAHeaderBean inherits a setSize(int size) method that lets you control the size of the header text (which is useful when rendering headers in Home page "At a Glance" regions or in side navigation "Search" regions, for example). You cannot achieve this effect by trying to set the header's CSS Class to OraHeaderSubSub as some are tempted to try after reading the BLAF specification that the beans implement.

  • CSS Class Synonyms

    Imagine the following styles:
    tr.Fish { background: #00f; color: #fff; }
    tr.Firefly { background: #000; color: #ff0; }
    I have a third class, .linkDark, which modifies link colors. Is there a way to make the two styles above inherit .linkDark's styles, even though they aren't the same class?
    I know how to create multiple classes - [tr class="Fish linkDark"] but that might be kind of difficult in this case. I'm working in a reference table with rows for different plant and animal species, only a few of which will have dark backgrounds requiring .linkDark styled URL's.
    Anyway, if I've defined .linkDark higher up the food chain, could I write something like this?:
    tr.Fish = .linkDark
    so that it incorporates the styles from both classes - tr.Fish and .linkDark?
    Thanks.

    For zebra tables, I like to use the Nth-child pseudo-selector.  It's very convenient for this.
    Below are working demos with code example:

  • Is there a way to find out which CSS rules are being used by the different html files?

    Is there a way in Dreamweaver CS3 to find out which CSS rules are being used by the different html files, sitewide?
    Thanks - Dave

    Firefox add-on "Web Developer Toolbar" is a must have.  Information > Display Div & Class details.
    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/60
    Another  handy Firefox Add-on  to add to your tool chest is called "Dust-Me Selectors."
    http://www.sitepoint.com/dustmeselectors/
    "It extracts all the selectors from all the stylesheets on the page you're viewing, then analyzes that page to see which of those selectors are not used. The data is then stored so that when testing subsequent pages, selectors can be crossed off the list as they're encountered.
    You can test pages individually, or spider an entire site, and you'll end up with a profile of which selectors are not used anywhere."

  • Remove ADF css classes

    Hi,
    Is there a way to force render <af:document> just to <body> instead of <body class="af_document p_AFMaximized">?
    The same goes to <af:paelGroupLayout> - I don't need af_panelGroupLayout or af_region CSS classes in my HTML markup because it spoils look and feel created by designer.
    I know I can do <af:document id="d1" styleClass="something">, but it just prepends "something" to class attribute: <body class="something af_document p_AFMaximized">

    You cannot remove these CSS classes associated with any of the UI components but you could modify the properties for each of the style class names through skinning.
    Thanks,
    Navaneeth
