[Spaces] sticky app after space switching

A couple days after a clean 10.5 install (with software updates to 10.5.5) Spaces unexpected started keeping the current application active when switching directly to an empty space (e.g. using arrow key shortcuts) instead of making Finder active as it originally did. This now makes it necessary to explicitly select Finder (e.g. by clicking the desktop) instead of its previously more convenient implicitly selection.
Space switching behaves the original way when tested under the Guest account on this system, and also under my account on another similarly configured 10.5.5 system. That isolates the change specifically to my iMac account. One difference I thought of that might have triggered the change is moving Dock from the bottom to left side of the screen, but returning it to the bottom had no effect on Spaces. It doesn't matter whether the "When switching to an application, switch to a space with open windows for the application" Spaces preferences is enabled or disabled (I prefer the latter and it's disabled on the other system). I also added a few space-specific Application Assignments but that seems irrelevant. Disabling/re-enabling Spaces didn't matter, except for requiring adjusting Spaces-related keyboard and Exposé shortcuts again (which sometimes get confused for no apparent reason anyway).
During Spaces testing under the Guest account I watched for changes to preferences files hoping to isolate which one(s) might contain whatever's responsible for the misbehavior under my account -- obvious there. Btw, Leopard's Property List Editor is awful, Maybe there's something cached under my account that could be removed to reset Spaces but I couldn't figure out where if that's somewhere in ~/Library/Caches or /var/folders.
I've restarted the system several times since this change started. I don't want to randomly delete preferences and other files that would undo configuration changes without having any effect on Spaces. Other suggestions for how to specifically fix/reset Spaces would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

10.5.3 Spaces: Links in Mail (space 2) does not switch to browser in space1

The only "bug" or issue I'm having with the 10.5.3 is rather annoying. I'm working like this, all browsing and coding is done in space 1. In space 2, I have Mail and that's pretty much it.
Up until 10.5.3, all links I click in Mail in space 2, would open in a new firefox tab in space 1 and take me to that space.
Now, it will still open a new tab with that link, but it will NOT take me to the space (1) where firefox is.
I can either:
1) Manually switch to the space afterwards - but that's kinda unacceptable I think. It's been working fine since 10.5.0 came out.
2) Double click the link in Mail and it will open the link in a new tab AND take me to the space.
I tried going to Spaces preference and uncheck (checked by default) the "When switching to an application, switch to a space with open windows for the application". Then I can no longer double click the link to switch to my firefox space, only manual switch works now.
Any idea what to do? Any help is greatly appreciated!
PS: I have firefox assigned to space 1 and Mail assigned to space 2.
SOLUTION:
Okaaaay.... now that I wrote all this I seem to have solved the issue myself I will post it anyway as it might help others - here's what I did:
Removed the "firefox is assigned to space 1" and "mail is assigned to space 2" from within Spaces prefs and re-assigned them. After that, I had multiple tests succeed when clicking different links in Mail, having them both open AND switch to firefox in space 1.

Though it seemed to work initially, it now turns out that sometimes it doesn't. But I guess it's better than before, but definately not as good as with 10.5.2.
So far I'll live, but I hope it's something that'll be fixed in 10.5.4 - IF it's even a bug, I haven't heard anybody else experience the same thing. Maybe it's a feature instead...?

5.2 Pages, how to create white space before and after paragraphs?

I'm having a very frustrating time with the new 5.2 version of pages after upgrading from a prior version. In the previous version, you could easily adjust the exact amount of white space before and after each paragraph. You were able to do this from within the inspector, but for the life of me, I cannot find it ANYWHERE in the new version and I'm ripping my hair out trying to find it.
Surely you must be able to control the amount of space before and after each paragraph? It's totally useless to me if I can't; I want to be able to format my documents how I want; ie. plenty of white space between paragraphs and list points, not all bunched up together.
Someone please help me! Thank you so much!

Try telling Apple that. Start by rating/reviewing Pages in the App Store.
I have been told repeatedly by Apple staff that the new User Interface makes it "Much simpler".
When I ask how? …and point out how many (more) hidden steps there are, they don't want to talk anymore.
Apple's standard response to just about everything lately, unfortunately.
btw If you have the choice, use Pages '09 instead. Less buggy and way more features, better laid out.

Correct KiltedTim the iPhone does not have a disk drive, and it does give an error message about running out of disk space. I'm here searching for how to clear it and/or what causes it. A friends 8gb iphone 3G has started giving her that message. It is not jailbroken, has no videos, 400 songs, 20 apps. The system information says there is 0 bytes free. There is 4.6 Gb of "other" data taking up the remaining free space. None of the few apps on the phone I expect would take up that much space with data. Even her emails and saved text messages shouldn't fill 4GB. New iPhone coming in the next couple of days. Easiest to just reset the old one after the upgrade and redownload the apps to make sure not to mess things up.

IOS 5 Calendar app current time bar off after time switch

Here is a issue I have recently noticed. Yesterday we had time fall back one hour. On my Macbook, Iphone 4, and Ipad2, the system time is showing correctly(the time in menu bar on the Mac, and in the top system bar on iOS). On my two Ios5 devices however, in the "Calendar" app, the little bar with the red dot (i refer to as the "current time bar") still shows one hour ahead. So for example the actual time in Los Angeles, CA right now is 3:19 PM but in the calendar app on both Ios devices it shows as 4:19 PM. Keep in mind that the system time is showing 3:19 PM on both of these devices. I logged into the http://www.icloud.com web site and it shows correctly. On my Mac book running MacOSX 10.7.2 everything shows up ok (both system time and iCals current time bar). I am connected to Wi-Fi and 3G. I do have time zone support enabled on all devices, but turning that off did not help anything and I don't see how that could be causing this. What is causing this? Is this a bug in iOS5? Please let me know if you are experiencing the same issue so we can have Apples developers fix this bug. Thanks have a nice afternoon.

What I know:
System time on Mac, Iphone and Ipad shows up as the right time
Current time bar in iCal on MacOSX 10.7.2 shows right
Current time bar in Calendar on icloud.com shows right

This post seems to be experiencing the same issue.

I'm having the same issue... the time is right on my phone, however the time-bar is showing DST (one hour ahead). I've restarted the phone... checked my iCloud time zone, etc... even tried turning on/off the Time Zone support not only for the phone but also in the Calendar... nothing.
So in the end, correct time but the time-bar is incorrect. I hope this is just a bug that needs fixing by Apple...

ThanksYour thread is titled "Table space not reduce after delete in oracle 11G" which implies to me that you are interested in reducing the size of a tablespace (which really means reducing the size of the underlying datafile(s)).
So, if you shrink the size of the sys.aud$ table, will that cause the datafile(s) to become smaller? Will it accomplish your goal? What else, if anything, needs to happen?

How can I control the space before and after text in a table

I have a series of icons with descriptions, these are lined up with icons on the top row and description text in the bottom row. Each icon and description is divided by a stapled line.
The text is of varying width, therefore the column width must also wary. However I would like to make the space before and after the text equal in all instances (See image).
If there is anyone that can tell me how to do this with tables or any other tools I would be very thankful.

The only way I can think of to maintain equla spacing between the text ov vartying lengths and the vertical lines is to put each icon/text pair in it's own frame fitted to content, make each vertical line a separate object, then select them all and distribute the spacing.

I'm quit new to Oracle and SQL world.
building simple SQL/Plus report through SQL Developer enviroment:
I'm trying to use NULL option of COLUMN comand to output a meaningful string instead null.
But, any word after space in string.
Followings are what I wrote on worksheet and excute 'Run Script'.
COLUMN firedate NULL 'active';
COLUMN mentorid NULL 'no mentor';
select lastname, firstname, mentorid, firedate from members;
refer to line (COLUMN mentorid NULL 'no mentor';) the out put for the MentorId, display word no and ignore any word after space which is here word mentor.
My environment:
SqL Developer ver. 3.1.07.
Oracle database 10g Express edition (10.2.0.1.0)
windows XP

SQL Developer is still not 100% SQL Plus compatible. It may be that this isn't implemented properly yet.

Ok, I thought of this from the beginning, just hoped I could do it from IOS.
As I inserted the CF, there were 3 hidden files. Now comes the question: how can you hide a file on Cisco flash?
In the end I format it and things went back to normal.
